Joey was confidently leading Yugi and the others to try and find his opponent, he'd "acquired" Weevil's gauntlet and now had to get some Star Chips of his own.
"Yugi, not that I think your wrong but I'm worried for Joey." Tea admitted over towards Yugi.
"Don't worry, Joey will be fine." Yugi reassured her.
"Well all we can do is watch, and see what his opponent will be." Tristan said with a shrug. "But it won't be a good show, I know it." He, and Joey had been friends for a while, and tease each other a bit.
"Come on, you guys can be a little supportive." Joey groaned.
"Well well look at what we have here." They looked over seeing a blonde haired woman was smirking in front of them. She's Mai Valentine someone that they encountered earlier on the ship, and is a confident woman disregarding Joey, and said she'll crush anyone in the tournament.
"You're Mai!" Joey recalled. "Are you looking for an opponent too?"
"Yes indeed. Looking for Yugi to be specific." Mai answered over looking at Yugi. "I've seen your duel with Weevil, your every bit as strong as people say."
"Oh uh... thanks?" Yugi asked blushing a little.
"Which makes crushing you all the more satisfying." Mai grinned over which made Yugi face-fault.
"What was that!?" Tea growled. "You're nowhere near Yugi's level!"
"That's right. That's cause I am far above what he dreams to be." Mai agreed but in a different sense. "He had to use Exodia to beat Kaiba, and while he is somewhat impressive against Weevil, he's still nowhere near champion level."
"Hey, that's my friend you're talking about. If you're so tough why don't you put your money where your mouth is?" Joey questioned. "I'll take you on."
"You really think YOU have a chance?" Mai turned over to him.
"Of course I do." Joey replied confidently.
"Very well. Shall we?" Mai gestured to a arena that's raising up. "And your also in my own sector. Mountain."
At that they all noticed that nearby the field was a large mountain. Joey frowned a bit. "Alright, I can still beat you in a duel."
They walked together over to the arena.
"Before we start Mai, I got something to ask." Joey started over to her.
"Oh, and what would you have to ask me?" Mai inquired.
"Why did you enter the Duelist Kingdom?" Joey asked her. "What is your goal here?"
"Is that a real question? I'm obviously here for the prize money." Mai grinned.
"That all?"
"Of course, what else is there?" Mai questioned.
"Me, and the others are here for reasons worth to fight for." Joey stared over with a glare. "You don't understand it but we have something important to fight for."
"Something important?" Mai questioned. "Well whatever, are you ready to duel or not?"
"You know it. How many Star Chips are you gonna bet on?" Joey asked her.
Mai looked at his Dueling Gauntlet and smirked. "You only have one Star Chip so I'll only wager one of my own."
Joey nodded as they readied.

Mai however took the top five cards of her deck without looking placed them facedown in front of her with her eyes closed.
"Huh?" Joey blinked from this. "What are you doing?"
"I'm dueling, you said it's your turn right?" Mai asked.
Joey blinked over before grunting checking over his hand for what he can do. "Ah this guy looks good! Axe Raider!" He summoned a warrior which was Axe Raider.

"Joey, when you don't sacrifice a monster to summon Barbaros his points are only 1900!" Yugi reminded him.
"Ah now he tells me!" Joey groaned slapping a hand at his forehead for still being a rookie onto this.
"You're a real amateur aren't you?" Mai laughed. "You may as well surrender now."
Joey glared as he checks over to see what he can do next. Then noticing a card he blinked. 'Wait Yugi said I need to combine magic into my Deck... So maybe this can work?' He takes a card placing it. "Well I'm activating the spell Blustering Winds!"

"Just face it, you're way out of your league kid." Mai taunted again.
"Gh... I'm not out of this yet!" Joey sets a card.

The trap crackled before shattering before just dissolving.

'Damn, I'm getting nowhere...' Joey takes some breathes as he stood up right. 'I need to focus, and know what I'm doing if I can help Serenity. Just clear my mind...' He takes a breath closing his eyes to calm himself. Suddenly he smells something confusing him sniffing the air.
"Huh, what's wrong Joey?" Tea asked seeing his expression.
Joey looked over to Mai. "Hey, why am I smelling lots of perfume from you?"
Mai's eyes widened. "Wha… what are you talking about!?"
"I'm smelling several different perfumes from where your at." Joey admitted over to her before he then blinked. "Wait... is that why your able to figure what cards you have by spraying them with different perfumes so you know what they are?"
Mai's eyes shot open. "How? How can some amateur have seen through my aroma strategy!?"
"Well guess Joey's known to sniff through trouble..." Tristan laid a crackline from that that Joey manages to figure that out from his nose.
"He figured out her trick but how can he turn the duel around?" Tea asked.
Joey looked over his hand before looking at his Deck. 'Yugi said to believe in the Heart of the Cards... now I need to believe...' He places a hand on his next card taking a card. 'I believe now... Here goes!' He drew before looking at his drawn card. 'Alright! This is it!' "Okay come on out! Time Wizard!"
Manifesting was a small clock shaped wizard readying up.

"Time Magic!" Time Wizard lift it's staff up as a coin appeared above it flipping fast.
"He's risking the entire duel on this coin flip." Tristan frowned seeing that. "He better get it right."
"Alright Tails!" Joey declared his toss as it happens. "Come on baby, come on!" The coin continued flipping around above as they watched. Just then it stopped revealing it landed on Tails. "Yes!"
Mai's eyes widened. "No way!"
With that both Harpie Harpist, and Harpie Lady looked around as they were trapped in a attack yelling out as there destroyed.
"And with that, I use these two!" Joey activated two spells.

"And now you two, get her!" The two charged in on Mai.
Mai cried out in shock as the attacks hit wiping out all of her life points at once.

"Ah yeah, that's how I play it!" Joey wiped the bottom of his nose with a grin.
"I... how did I lose to such an amateur?" Mai questioned in disbelief.
"Your mistake was underestimating him. He maybe new but he has potential." Yugi explained over to her.
Mai frowned but handed Joey a Star Chip. "I underestimated you, it won't happen again."
Joey takes it as he stared at it before grinned to Mai. "Hey Mai next time let's just be friends alright?"
"Huh?" she blinked hearing that.
"Your strong. And besides I think we be better as friends then enemies? What ya say?" Joey offered her a hand.
Mai looked at his hand. "Sorry, but I prefer going solo."
Joey frowned before shrugging. "Well okay, but just know that we shouldn't be enemies."
Mai just gave a half wave as she walked off.
"You won Joey, that was awesome." Yugi smiled.
Joey grinned over to Yugi. "Was thanks to you, and your Grandpa for helping me know how to use the Heart of the Cards!"
Yugi smiled. "With this we're one step closer to reaching Pegasus."
"Yeah, but what about the others?" Tristan asked.
"We seen how that kid managed against Keith. I think they'll be fine." Joey admitted over recalling Ken's duel against Bandit Keith. "Though it's that guy that took Keith away that scares me..." The way that Eliminator didn't seem bothered to have a gun pointed at him then when Bandit Keith fired he seemed to move closer, and changed the direction of the bullet to Bandit Keith itself.
"Yeah... let's just avoid them." Tea agreed.
Meanwhile...
"It seems finding an opponent for this competition is harder than I anticipated... however we need to obtain six more Star Chips in order to attempt our rescue of Mokuba Kaiba and find out what's going on." Mitsuru frowned.
"Yeah." Minako slowly admitted nodding as they walked together. "And even more trying to avoid these Eliminators."
"I agree." Ken nodded. "The less we see them the better."
"How many Star Chips do you have now Mitsuru-san?" Aigis turned to said red-head.
"Four, I require six more which means at minimum two additional matches." Mitsuru answered calmly.
"Sorry we can't help you Mitsuru-san." Minako isn't a contestant so she is unable to assist in gathering Star Chips even if she wants too.
"It's quite alright, we have time to gather the remaining ones." Mitsuru reassured her calmly.
Ken turned over to Mitsuru. "Well if anything happens we will be there to defend."
"I know." Mitsuru nodded before frowning only to hear someone cry out.
Hearing that they all ran over to see where the screen is from. A young brunette girl had just lost as a powerful looking warrior struck her.
"She alright?" Minako asked as they looked over to see who defeated her.
The girl sighed getting up and walking over. "You win, here you go... three Star Chips."
Her opponent, a young red-haired boy smiled taking them.
"That gives me eight." he smiled.
"Well looks like we found an opponent Mitsuru." Ken turned to her.
"Indeed." she nodded walking over to the boy. "Pardon me, are you in the tournament?"
"Hm?" the boy turned over to her. "Yes ma'am, I am. Who are you?"
"My name is Mitsuru and I'd like to have a match. I trust two Star Chips are acceptable terms?" Mitsuru asked him.
He nodded over with a smile. "Oh and, I'm John."
"It's a pleasure." Mitsuru smiled taking her position.
In Pegasus's Castle...
Pegasus was busy checking over something on a screen seeing a duel happening curiously looking. He saw it was Mitsuru again only this time he had a better look and could see her face more clearly.
"Hm..." Pegasus stared over as he paused before clapping his hands. "Keito?" A dark portal opened where the Eliminator from before appeared behind him. "Bring the small Kaiba Boy here. I believe he can confirm who this is."
"Of course." Keito nodded with a smirk.
Keito vanished only returning a minute later with a bound Mokuba with his hands behind him.
"Now young boy, Kemo voiced he had caught you in a room." Pegasus spoke not turning. "I want to know if this is who I think it is." He has Mokuba brought beside him allowing Mokuba to see the paused video.
'That... big sis? She actually came.' Mokuba thought before blinking. "I have no idea, why are you showing me some random girl? Seto's going to make you regret kidnapping me."
"So you don't know? Then perhaps, I should have her sent to the Shadow Realm." Pegasus has ways to make him talk nodding as Keito grinned revealing a doll of Mitsuru, and proceeds to do something.
"No!" Mokuba cried in horror trying to grab the doll. "You can't!"
"Why care boy?" Keito raised his arm high. "You don't know her remember, so why care about someone you don't know. Or maybe you DO know?"
Mokuba flinched. "She... she's entered the tournament... you need someone to beat Yugi right? What if she can pull it off?"
"No no that's not the right answer." Keito shook his head no. "We asked WHO she is."
"You invited her... you tell me." Mokuba told him. 'I won't let them know anything about big sis.'
"Very well. Such measures must be taken." Pegasus pulled aside his hair revealing a golden eye.
Mokuba's eyes widened seeing it as Pegasus soon saw images of a younger Mokuba and Seto talking with that red-haired girl, they were playing chess, talking and seemed to be happy before eventually Mokuba named her big sis Mitsuru causing Seto to blush and yell at him while the girl blinked and had her own small blush.
"Mitsuru... ah, Mitsuru Kirijo. Most interesting." Pegasus chuckled before nodding to Keito to have him take Mokuba back to his cell.
Mokuba's eyes widened as Keito and Mokuba vanished.
"So the Kirijo Group has came with the Kaiba Corp. I'd thought they break off there past relations." Pegasus said as he stared over where the video resumed where Mitsuru won her next duel. "I'll be expecting you Mitsuru. Try to save Mokuba if you can."
At the duel...
Mitsuru had just won with an Arctic Empire version of Kaiba's Swordstalker called Arctic Empite - Glacierstalker.
"Wow. Your tough." John was quite amazed from Mitsuru's abilities.
"Thank you, you were skilled as well." Mitsuru noted.
"Well... here you are." They walked where John hands her two Star Chips.
Mitsuru took them and put them in her gauntlet giving her five Star Chips. "One more match."
"One more?" John asked confused.
"I have five Star Chips, one more match will give me enough to enter the castle." Mitsuru noted calmly.
John nodded before he smiled. "Well I wish you luck ma'am." He bowed before walking off.
Mitsuru nodded calmly.
Ulrich362: Well, Pegasus knows Mitsuru is on the island.
bopdog111: And that's like bad.
Ulrich362: True, of course considering what's next it might be even worse.
