Guest - Oh, the V252 is coming in soon... you just won't believe how I promise.
It took a while to find something to plug in the hole in the boat, but using the equipment from the penthouse, and a metal tray they found on board the boat, they managed to finally piece it together. Peter was going one round around the tray using the sealant while Brooklynn and Yaz held it over the entire hole.
"It ain't pretty, but it should be watertight," Brooklynn said.
"Yep," Peter confirmed as he finished using it, tossing it to Darius. "All finished."
"Dope. Let's leave already!" Kenji cheered.
"Oh, my gosh, I can't believe it's really happening!" Sammy cheered.
"Buh-bye, Isla Nublar!" Brooklynn cried out to the island.
"We are out of here!" Yaz cheered.
"Hey, hold up, guys," Darius said, reading the tube. "It says here we have to wait 48 hours for it to set.
Everyone moaned when they heard that.
"Really?" Sammy asks.
"They have to say that for insurance and junk," Kenji stated as he walked over to the boat. "As your captain, I pronounce this vessel seaworth..."
Kenji then knocked the tray, causing it to fall proving him wrong. Everyone gave him an angered or annoyed look, while Laura snarled and snikt her claws, preparing to use them on him.
"Um, I've got some captain-y stuff...to do over there." Kenji scurried as he handed the tray to Peter. "Carry on."
"A few more days," Peter whispered to himself. "And then we can throw him overboard."
"Yeah, I am still on board with the mutiny idea," Yaz promised.
Peter, Yaz, and Brooklynn were back to working on the sealment. Sammy seemed nervous about something as she approached Brooklynn.
"Hey, can I talk to you for a second?" Sammy asks.
"Kind of busy right now, but..."
I need your help with something... personal." Sammy said.
Brooklynn was quick to drop everything as she let go, spinning around, causing Darkus to jump in and catch it so Peter could finish the job.
"Spill everything!" Brooklyn said.
She then began pushing Sammy away to talk out of earshot of the others. With Peter's advanced hearing, they needed to take a small stroll over to the docks.
"So, I was thinking…"
"Let me guess! You have a secret crush." Brooklynn asks. "Is it Darius? Kenji? Yaz? Laura?! It better not be Peter, because me and Yaz-"
"What?" Sammy was a little confused about what was happening. "What are you talking about?"
"Oh, nothing, forget that last part," Brooklynn said as she blushed, trying to hide her face.
"Look, since we've got two more days on the island, I wanna try and figure out why Mantah Corp sent me here," Sammy explained. "Maybe If I can find out what they're really up to, I can use that against them and-"
"Protect your family?" Brooklynn was following.
"Uh-huh!" Sammy confirmed.
"Say no more! Of course, I'll help!" Brooklynn promised. "It's gotta be related to E750. Maybe even the Cross-Species creatures that are here."
"I've got some-"
"It was on Wu's computer, the key card, that door on the monitors!" Brooklynn started to get all the conspiracy again. "But never anything related to Richard's experiments. Did he know? Or was it something even about him? And who was he making the Cross-Species creatures for? Was it Mantah Corp? A third company? It can't be a coincidence they're all DNA-related, creating intelligent creatures."
"Uh-huh," Sammy added. "I've got some ideas where to look." She showed a map of the island. "I found this map at Kenji's condo. It's pretty old, but-"
"Don't worry. I know where to look!" Brooklynn said as she jumped and took the map. "Come on, we'll take the Gyrosphere.
"Isn't it a little janky?" Sammy asks.
"Doesn't turn right anymore, but so what?" Brooklynn shrugged as she raced off. "It's gonna be awesome! Brooklynn Finally Unboxes the Secret of E750!"
Peter happened to overhear and saw they were leaving. "Uh, should we do something about that?"
"Yeah, you should definitely go with them," Darius told him. "We dont want them having a run-in with those Cross-Species out there, or Kraven."
"Okay, good, I wasn't the only one thinking that," Peter said as he changed into his attire and leaped over to the two. "Hey, mind if I join as security?"
"Uh, of course not!" Brooklynn cheered. "But you might be riding outside of the Gyrosphere."
"I can live with that." Peter shrugged as he followed.
"Be back later, Kenji!" Sammy said as they passed him. "We're gonna investigate a mystery!"
"Yeah, that's nice," Kenji said as he was aiming the compass ahead of him, spinning around.
Yaz walked over and was confused. "What you doing?"
"I… I think the compass is busted." Kenji said. "I keep trying to find north, but the needle keeps moving."
Yaz sighed as she moved Kenji to try and face where the compass was trying to point. "North."
"I… I knew that." Kenji says.
They then looked down and saw a Compy. "Get out of here!" Yaz demanded, kicking at the dino.
"I got this. Grabbed some quarters from the penthouse." Kenji said, tossing them at the dino, watching it run off. "The best way to keep the Compies away. They love money."
"You mean they love shiny stuff?" Yaz corrected.
"Same diff." Kenji shrugged as Laura and Darius walked over.
"Like my dad always says, "If you've got a problem, throw cash at it."" Kenji said.
"Kenji, not so sure that's a good idea," Darius warned him. "You know what you get when you feed a pigeon."
"A fat pigeon?" Kenji asked.
Yaz punched him for being stupid, pointing to show him more Compies coming. " More pigeons. You get more pigeons!"
"Then it's a good thing I'm rich," Kenji said, continuing to throw money at the Compies. "Here you go! You, too. Money! Money! Money!"
"Dude, you are making it so much worse!" Yaz said, seeing more Compies were coming.
"Can I kill some of them?" Laura asked, raising her knuckle as she snikt her claws again. "Leave their corpses as a sign of us marking our territory."
Darius stopped focusing on the compies as he turned to Laura. "I wish I could believe you were joking."
"Fetch!" Kenji tossed more quarters. "Get the quarters!"
That was when one of the Compies ran over and leaped on the crates, revealing she had the compass. "She's got the compass!"
"So not good," Yaz said.
The Compy ran into the crowd, surrounding itself with others.
"Hey, give that back. Come on!" Kenji said, preparing to throw quarters. "I'll give you two quarters for it."
"Just approach her slowly," Darius said.
That didn't work when Laura roared as she roared and leaped in, trying to use her claws to strike at her. The Compie then screeched and ran off, running into the jungle. Her claws dug into the cement as she snarled.
Kenji, Darius, and Yaz chased after it. Laura drew her claws back, getting them out of the ground. They then ran off to chase after the Compy with the compass. Ben was making his way back to the boat with Bumpy and a few supplies.
"Be back later, Ben! You're in charge!" Darius cried as they passed.
Ben didn't even react and walked off to the boat.
"Go get her, Yaz!" Darius said.
Yaz started to catch up with the Compy. "Don't play with me, Compy! You will not outrun me!" That was when the Compy dropped the compass just for another to run past and pick it up. "Hey! That's cheating!"
Darius and Kenji tried to get it, but Darius tripped over another Compy, and Kenji leaped to try and catch the Compy. But they both missed, and Laura tried to attack, embedding her claws into the rock it leaped over as Yaz ran past them.
"Come on, quit slacking!" Yaz cried.
"Man, I hate Compies." Kenji groand.
Yaz was chasing the Compy when it made its way inside a building, causing Yaz to stop and gasp as she recognized the place. Darius and Kenji caught up and they looked around to try and find the Compy. Laura snarled as she sniffed the air trying to find it, only to get messed with the hundreds of others.
"Anyone see where it went?" Darius asks.
"Darius?" Yaz said, gesturing ahead.
Kenji and Darius were shocked while Laura was confused about what made this place so important. "Guys, do you know where we are? Welcome to Jurassic Park." He said, looking over the visitor center that had been consumed by the jungle over the years. "This is where it all began."
"Nope. No way. We shouldn't be here." Kenji said as he backed off. "Everyone knows this place is haunted."
"Haunted?" Laura asks.
"Yeah! Bad things happened here." Kenji stated.
"As opposed to the rest of this island?" Darius asked sarcastically.
"Exactly," Kenji said.
"We need that compass," Darius said as he turned to Yaz. "Please talk some sense into him."
"Darius is right," Yaz said. "Jurassic Park isn't haunted. It's cursed."
"What?" Darius was confused to hear that.
"Legend has it that the original park owner broke his ankle here and then was eaten alive by Compies!"
Kenji gasped in terror.
"That's not true," Darius said. "John Hammond died of natural causes."
"Where'd you hear that?" Laura wonders.
"Read it somewhere," Yaz admitted. "I'm kind of obsessed with theme park deaths."
"You sure came to the right place," Kenji stated.
That was when a Compy screeched, spooking them as Laura prepared to strike. That was when they watched the Compy run into the building.
"Maybe the others went in there, too," Darius said as they headed over.
"Hope no one ends up reading about me after this," Kenji muttered.
Heading inside, they saw that the place didn't get better with age, as most of the building looked almost like something had already gone rampaging through it. They looked around and spotted the Compy with the compass putting it within a nest.
"We gotta get up there," Darius said.
"Well, the good news is it's only, like, 30 feet in the air," Yaz said sarcastically.
"Yeah. Easy." Laura said as she walked over, using her claws to dig into the building.
Peter, Brooklynn, and Sammy walked away from another facility while Peter was looking around to ensure they were safe on their way back to the Gyrosphere.
"Ugh, another bust." Brooklynn groaned. "Let's head back to the tunnels." She then saw Sammy looking at another map. "Sammy, you can quit picking up every map you find lying around. I got this."
"Well, technically, this one's a blueprint," Sammy admitted. "Maybe instead of following the vents or going down in the tunnels again, we could try someplace else."
"Like what?" Peter asks.
"See here?" Sammy said, showing a spot out in the jungle near the raptor paddock. "This spot is marked "under construction"."
"Not really unusual." Peter shrugged.
"The map we've been using was printed five years ago. The same area was under construction then, too. Seems to me a site that's off limits because it's always "under construction" is a perfect place to hide something secret."
Brooklynn hummed. "It's a long shot. It always takes contractors longer to build stuff than they say."
Peter then sensed something as Sammy was pleading her case. "But don't you think it's worth at least checking-"
"WATCH IT!" Peter grabbed the two, pulling them back.
A spear came falling and touched the top of the Gyrosphere as it bounced off. Okay, maybe he overreacted a little.
"A spear?" Brooklynn asks. "I think your powers are slipping."
"No!" A ruff voice called, getting them to look up and gasp. Kraven The Hunter came stumbling from the trees as he fell and wasn't looking well.
Kraven was clearly in a state of distress, his physical condition deteriorating because of something. The brutal reality of their situation was sinking in—if they did not extend their hand, Kraven might not survive much longer.
"Spider-Man... I require... sanctuary."
That was when Kraven fell over and Peter ran over to his side. "Kraven? What happened? What did this to you?"
"A predator..." Kraven moaned. "Got the better than me..."
"And why were you looking for us?" Sammy wonders.
"Require aid... to camp..." Kraven wheezed out. "Poison... antidote."
"You came all the way to find us to ask for help?" Brooklynn scoffed. "Uh, sorry, why would we do that?"
Peter stood at the edge of the dense, overgrown jungle, his mind a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts. He couldn't shake the weight of Brooklynn's argument; she had a valid point. This man, Kraven, had hunted them relentlessly, driven by a murderous intent that had left them shaken and traumatized. Yet, as he recalled the desperate plea in Kraven's eyes when he had come to them seeking help, Peter felt a flicker of sympathy.
Peter wrestled with the moral implications of his decision. He wasn't about to give in to the instincts that urged him to turn his back on the man who had caused them so much fear and pain. He remembered when they were left behind when the park had been evacuated. They had left without a second thought, prioritizing their safety over the lives of others.
He couldn't let himself become like them, nor could he align with the darker side of Kraven's nature. Instead, he resolved to grasp this chance to save a life, even one so steeped in violence and vengeance. If there was a possibility to offer redemption or support, he was determined to take it. After all, he believed that everyone, even a man like Kraven, deserved a moment of grace.
Peter walked over and grabbed Kraven, lifting him over his shoulder. "Show me the way."
Kraven wheezed as he pointed in the direction. "Near the water hole."
"Peter, why are you doing this?" Brooklynn asks. "As soon as he is healed, he will just come after us again."
"Because... It's the right thing to do," Peter stated. "Kraven might be willing to kill us, but I am not going to be like him. If I can save him, then I will do everything I can to save him."
Brooklynn was surprised and secretly admired Peter even more now. He was going to do everything he could to save the life of a man who tried to kill him, kidnapped him to hunt, and used as bait to draw out other experiments. Peter then began to follow Kraven's directions as they headed off towards the watering hole.
"Just keep going, I'll catch up," Peter said as he disappeared.
Sammy wondered as they disappeared into the jungle. "So... what do we do?"
"Let's get back to following the vents," Brooklynn said as she headed for the Gyrosphere. "We'll hope Peter catches up later."
Laura was climbing up the wall towards the nest using her claws. The others went with a different approach as they dragged over a vending machine.
"Just a sec, guys," Kenji said as he tried to use the vending machine. "I'm useless till I carbo-load. Come on, J4. Come on, J4."
"Dude, it's not even plugged in." Yaz broke to him as they continued to move it.
"Aw, man. That was my last quarter." Kenji groaned.
Laura rolled her eyes as she continued to climb, but she stopped when she started to smell something. Yaz started to climb up, followed by Darius and Kenji slowly behind her.
"Laura?" Yaz called, noticing She stopped moving. "What are you doing?"
"We're not alone," Laura warned them, getting them worried about what she meant.
That was when they heard a Compy screech and another came in, running from something. And then it was followed by one of the raptors from the raptor exhibit on their first day revealed itself. Everyone was frozen as the raptor looked around; they were in no position to fight her, without any gear, and were too high in the air.
Yaz looked up and watched from a vine as two Compies were fighting over the compass. Seeing she had a chance to get it, she slowly climbed up the vine while everyone else stayed quiet. Yaz reached the ledge of the nest and was able to smack it down, but it was sent falling right on top of the velociraptor. But before it could hit, that's where Laura came in and used her foot claw to quickly catch it.
The raptor then reacted as it ran around the vending machine before attacking another Compy. The dinosaur then ran down a corridor l leaving them to think she left. Everyone climbed or fell off of the equipment and sighed.
"That's one of the raptors we saw our first night at camp," Darius told Kenji.
"Yeah. Don't think I'll be forgetting that face any time soon." Kenji said.
"Me neither," Darius admitted. "Must be nesting in here now."
"Love what it's done with the place, but let's get out before it comes back," Yaz said.
They began to head out when Laura sniffed the air again. "Oh, no..."
That's when the raptor came out of the shadows, screeching and causing them to freeze.
"Clever guy," Kenji said.
"Girl." Darius corrected. "She's a girl."
Peter brought Kraven to his campsite, which actually looked pretty homey. It had a fire pit, a tent made out of leaves and wood, and a small crate where Kraven kept his materials.
"Love what you've done with the place," Peter said as he placed Kraven on the giant leaf pile he guessed he was using as a bed. "What do I do?"
Kraven wheezed as he pointed to the crate. "Satchel..."
Peter walked to the crate and pulled out a satchel filled with vials and liquids he'd never seen before. "What the hell is this?"
"Green..." Kraven said, pointing to the green liquid. "Green one."
Peter took the green vial and brought it to Kraven, opened the cork, and watched some mist coming off of the vial. Kraven then took the vial and poured it down his throat as quickly as he could.
Kraven sighed as he dropped the vial. "Thank you..."
Peter nodded as he kneeled next to him. "You're welcome. So, what happened? The great hunter bit off more than he could chew from a T-Rex? Carnotaurus? Mosasaurus?"
"No." Kraven sighed. "I was tracking another Hybrid."
"A hybrid? A Cross-Species did this to you?" Peter was shocked to hear. "Was it Scorpion? Vulture? Rhino?"
"No... there is another," Kraven said, causing Peter to gasp.
Laura snarled as she stood and drew her claws on the velociraptor, the two of them preparing for a fight for dominance. The raptor snarled at them as Laura only growled back, her animalistic instincts taking control as she prepared to defend her pack.
"Darius, remind me how we got away from the raptors last time," Kenji asks.
"Dave and Roxie saved us?" Darius reminded him.
"Oh, right," Kenji replied. "So, what do we do now? Let them duke it out?"
"Laura might survive, but I am not entirely sure the rest of us can," Darius commented since Laura was the only one with a healing factor.
That gave them the only option they had. Leave Laura to intimidate the raptor for a good second before booking it out the door. They ran as fast as they could towards the parked truck and jumped inside, hoping to escape in it.
"Start the engine! Start the engine!"
But that was when they saw there was no key. Darius looked in the back and saw a tranquilizer gun. "Hey, check out this tranquilizer rifle." He picked it up and looked it over. "Maybe we can-"
The velociraptor came slamming against the truck to try and get in. Laura snarled again and was preparing to strike if the velociraptor got into the car. But then all of a sudden, the thumping stopped.
"Where'd she go?" Yaz wonders.
"Maybe she went back to get her raptor friends." Kenji guessed.
"If she still had a pack, they'd be here by now," Darius commented. "She's alone.
That was when the velociraptor came and slammed on the hood of the car, which Laura reacted by punching through the glass and attacking the velociraptor at the leg, causing her to slip and fall. Yaz then got an idea as she pulled the brake and allowed the car to drift its way down the hill. The velociraptor was able to keep up on the car, but they were hit by a rock, sending the truck tumbling down and crashing.
"Anyone sees her?" Yaz asked, frantically looking around.
"I'm fine. Thanks for asking." Kenji groaned.
"Nobody asked," Laura stated.
They heard screeching, getting them to look ahead and see the velociraptor pinned under the car.
"Come on. Let's go!" Darius said, everyone crawling out of the car.
As they were leaving, Darius turned and saw Compies approaching the velociraptor.
"Come on, man! We gotta go." Kenji said.
"They'll kill her, eat her alive," Darius said.
"Not our problem, bro," Kenji stated. "Enemy of my enemy and all that."
"But she wasn't our enemy." Yaz defended. "We were trespassing in her home."
Darius checked the gun and saw only one or two shots. "No way to tranq all of them."
"Okay, fine, dino whisperer. What do we do?" Kenji asks.
"We gotta distract the Compies," Darius stated.
Yaz picked up a piece of wood, Laura drew her claws, and Kenji then started to back off and run away.
"Typical." Yaz scoffed.
They then approached the Compies, trying to get them away from the velociraptor.
"Shoo! Get back!"
"Get out of here!"
That's when they watched quarters begin being flung and looked to see it come from Kenji who returned after breaking the vending machine.
"You like that? More where that came from." Kenji said, sending all of them running with the shiny objects.
"Good thinking!" Darius said as he ran to the car. "Now lift, before they come back!"
Everyone began to help lift the car as they tried to free her.
"Come on! She's almost out!"
They freed the velociraptor as she stood and shook her body from the pain. She then snarled and faced them, getting Laura to growl and prepare to draw her claws. But Darius then came in front of her, causing her to let up.
"Dude, what are you doing?" Kenji asks.
"Trust me," Darius said as they decided to do what he said. "Back up slowly. And whatever you do, don't turn your-"
That's when they watched money be flung toward her and bounce off the velociraptor's nose. She shook it off and growled, getting everyone to look towards Kenji in anger. The velociraptor snarled and screeched.
"Never mind! Go!" Darius cried as they all ran away.
Brooklynn and Sammy were now looking into the construction site that Sammy mentioned. They pulled up to the location and saw there was no sign of construction.
"It doesn't look under construction, does it?" Brooklynn asks as they approach the doorway. "This is just like that Esther Stone episode when-"
"Brooklynn, my family?" Sammy reminded her.
"Right. Sorry." Brooklynn said as they headed down the stairwell.
They searched the facility, seeing tons of claw marks across the walls. The lights looked as if they were ripped from the ceiling.
"Brooklynn." Sammy directed them to a destroyed door with a sign: E750.
They headed into the lab for more information and saw the labs were a wreck. Brooklynn came across a working computer and groaned.
"No internet," Brooklynn said. But then she saw other files. "Video files!"

"You found this place, Sammy," Brooklynn said as she moved out of the way. "All you."
"Let's do this," Sammy said clicking on VIDEOS.
"This is log entry 239." Dr Wu said, revealing to be sitting where they currently were. "I am delighted to announce that the E750 project is a complete success. I have created the world's first hybrid dinosaur, the Scorpios rex! Granted, its appearance and behavior are a bit… unusual. But no one can deny this is an unparalleled scientific breakthrough."
"Play the next one," Brooklynn said.
"This is log entry 243," Dr. Wu started off. "Dr. Parker brought up an interesting experiment. If it's possible to create hybrid Dinosaurs, what if it were possible to create hybrid people? Animals with human traits, or humans with animal traits. The process isn't what some would call "orthodox" so we decided this research should stay in the dark until we can prove our results."
"That must have been when they decided to begin work on the Cross-Species," Brooklynn guessed.
"But where'd they get the DNA?" Sammy wonders, clicking the next video.
"Entry log 245," Dr. Wu continued. "Dr. Parker has found what he is saying are "benefactors" who have agreed to pass on genetic materials they've gotten for us to experiment with. A rhinoceros, a vulture, a scorpion, some sort of experimental lizard DNA, a rat, and somehow... the Wolverine. But it's designated as Weapon X... and some fluid that he says is an experimental exoskeleton."
"Experimental exoskeleton?" Sammy asks, getting a shrug from Brooklynn.
"This is log entry 240. Mr. Masrani was not pleased. Called the Scorpios "too ugly to put on display." Still, I shall continue my work undeterred."
Next video.
"This is log entry 245, the recent cloning process of the Wolverine, X-12, AKA Honey Badger, was awakened with a... animalistic mind. We could only get nine successful clones out of the blood, and... we thought they would work better as a pack. But..." Dr. Wu spaced off in horror. "Only one of them survived the encounter with the others. Weapon X-23."
That spooked both Sammy and Brooklynn to learn Laura had killed her cloned siblings.
"She was not the first to strike, but she was the most interesting. She was dragged into the fight, and she fought for survival. We decided it was best to wipe the clone's mind. Start from scratch. She will have no memory of this, or her siblings."
"Oh my god..." Sammy said in horror.
"This is log entry 247, the rat DNA took too well," Dr. Wu said. "The creature, AKA Vermin, was too dangerous to be left alive. We had no choice but to dissect it to see what went wrong."
"This is log 250, and we are finally making some progress with the cloning process. TASM-41, SM-19, S-63, and AS-6 are starting to show results. Promising results. Their animalistic behavior aside, which was expected, they are growing intelligent. And almost like a hive mind. They can sense the other, and it seems the more injured the other is, the easier they are to track. Regarding the V252, Richard said that it "bonded" with him. I am not sure what he means. But... there is something about it that feels... unnatural."
"This is log entry 257." Dr. Wu said in worry. "The Scorpios rex's mind has turned out to be as fragmented and unpredictable as its body. One moment placid, the next, extremely aggressive. I remain confident that I will…"
That's when something came in and tackled Wu to the ground. The camera glitched out as they saw people screaming and running around Wu.
"Oh, no! Someone support his head!"
"Get him the antivenom!"
"We need that now, stat!"
Someone ran over with the first aid kit with the antivenom and pulled a red syringe.
"Okay, it's okay. Everyone calm down."
They went to the next one.
Wu was perfectly fine like nothing happened.
"Mr. Masrani ordered me to destroy the specimen," Wu said, turning to face the containment. "I've decided to put the Scorpios into cryogenic suspension indefinitely until I can determine what exactly went wrong and where it can't pose a threat to anyone."
And that was the last of the videos.
"If the Indominus Rex and all of the Cross-Species were considered a "success," what kind of crazy scary was a failure like E750?" Brooklynn asked in worry.
"Good thing he froze it," Sammy stated, noticing the look of terror on Brooklynn's face. "Brooklynn?"
Sammy then turned and gasped when she saw that the container they saw in the video was shattered, revealing that the Scorpious Rex was out there in the wild.
(A/N) Am I the only one who gets hit with a wave of nostalgia seeing the old Visitor Center? I mean, ever since Jurassic World, that place just hits differently. I remember the first time I saw Jurassic Park. It became one of my favorite franchises in my youth. Seeing these creatures brought to life... man, seeing the old visitor center does things to me. Am I alone in this?
