Stay Alive
Ok I'm gonna do something completely different compared to the other fics out there, this will be an immune Takashi as well as a Takashi/Saya fic, and this will also be a Dead island crossover because i was playing the game while thinking of this idea
I stayed up late, the night Tokonosu City fell, the outbreak coming out of nowhere, the city was quarantined while not a single warning was announced as the rest of the world carried on, only the rich were given a "Heads up" if you could believe it… while the lowly folk were left to continue none the wiser, except I… I found out I was one special case during this hell on earth.
Leaning against the outdoor railing of Fujimi Academy's rooftop, Komuro Takashi stared over the city with a tired look over his face, beside him was the only confidant that didn't doubt him nor blamed him for most things, Takagi Saya. One of his friends since Kindergarden.
Standing beside him with a soft look, her appearance was that of long pink hair which mostly was kept in two pony tails on either side of her head. Two thin, long bangs at the sides, two thin strands of hair over the left side of her forehead, and a spiky larger portion of hair covering the right side of her forehead. Staring at him with fierce orange eyes and furrowed eyebrows, Saya spoke with a Sigh.
"You look like you haven't gotten sleep at all?" giving the girl beside him a deadpan, he spoke.
"That's because I made the mistake of staying up late, what did you do last night?" seeing the girl leaning her slender form beside him with a snort, Saya spoke.
"I studied, unlike a certain someone I know" getting a chuckle, the two shared the silence before Saya spoke.
"So, we gonna talk about what happened last weekend?" getting a gulp from Takashi, he spared her a side glance to see her blushing at him with her own deadpan.
"For crying out loud I'm getting sick of keeping us secret, Morita keeps checking me out, Hirano wont take no for an answer and don't even get me started on that bitch Miyamoto" getting a snort from Takashi, he spoke.
"I was actually going to ask you how you wanted to break our relationship to the school, as you can guess I'm not exactly the most popular guy here" getting a scoff, the pinkette leaned against her boyfriend of two years, kept secret.
"If your popular or not I don't care, you're the only person to treat me normal, unlike the whole damn school" feeling his right arm wrap around her shoulders, Saya stared up to Takashi's brown eyes, leaning closer for one of the many kisses the two shared, the sounds of the schools gates rattling ruined the moment.
Giving annoyed sounds, the two stared at the said gate to see a lone figure, with three teachers approaching.
Watching the teacher, Nejima rough up the odd man, the students flinched as he screamed in pain while on the floor, holding his arm, Takashi stared in horror as said teacher tore into the other two teachers.
Staring at the scene in panic, Takashi and saya turned to one another.
"We gotta warn the other people" Getting a nod, Takashi and Saya nodded frantically before running to the rooftop door.
Slamming open the door to the classroom, the students turned to him in alarm as he rushed to Rei and Hizashi.
"We need to leave, like right now" getting a confused look from Rei, Takashi turned to Hizashi who stood up with a frown.
"Gather anyone who has common sense, something happened at the front gate" getting confused looks from the class and teacher, Takashi pointed to the window facing the Gate.
"Three teachers just got killed at the gate and are walking around, HOW DID NO ONE SEE THAT!?" joining his side another student spoke up in agreement.
"I saw it too, three teachers went to confront some creep at the gate only to start biting each other and move to the School" starting to get confused glances, the students moved to the window, opening one, the sudden sound of screams echoed from below with the class room paling.
Looking around, Takashi spoke.
"Whoever can fight or sneak around, find anyone you don't want to leave behind and hunker down, but try not to make any sound to get whatever is happening attention" moving to leave, Rei followed in alarm with Hizashi.
"Takashi, what's happening!?" rushing to the next classroom, the other class were barricading the door, seems they heard him.
"I don't know whatever it is, it's spreading, Saya saw it beside me when we were on the rooftop" moving through the hallway, Hizashi spoke as he stopped at his locker.
"Hold up!" turning to Hizashi as he opened his locker, he handed a Staff to Rei and a Baseball bat to Takashi.
"You'll want these if we're getting out of here" frowning at his friend, Takashi spoke.
'Won't you need a weapon?" getting a smirk, Hizashi spoke.
"I'm a Black belt remember?" getting a frown from Takashi he tossed the Bat to Hizashi who blinked.
"Black belt or not, these things have a grip if what I saw was real" moving ahead, Rei spoke.
"I should call my father he'll send someone to help" tossing the phone to her, Takashi found an old pipe for himself.
"What…?" turning to Hizashi as he stared at Rei, her face showed horror as she held the phone to her ear.
"What's the matter?" before anything could be said, the announcers echoed over the school, the voice of the Principle speaking with pained breath.
/Attention, All Students and Faculty! All students and Faculty!, there has been an incident on Campus. Faculty, please lead the students through emergency procedures and Evacuate Immediately./
Moving as the announcement continued, the trio stopped at hearing the Principle struggle for life as he was eaten alive to the whole school.
Looking to a classroom, Takashi opened the door to speak.
"Don't panic, that'll make things worse, stay put, barricade the room!" closing the door with the room moving into panicked action, Takashi and the others moved quickly to keep the school from breaking down.
"We gotta keep the order, if everyone runs out at once it'll make shit worse!"
"Are we gonna try and get out of here!?" turning back to her, Takashi spoke.
"I'd rather get as many people out alive before I get out myself" getting a look of admiration from Hizashi, the resolve Takashi showed just what Takashi would do, before they could turn a corner, one of the faculty shuffled into view, one which Rei recognised.
"Isn't that Wakisaka, the social studies teacher?" slowing to a stop at seeing the condition of the "teacher" Takashi and Hizashi froze at the dead look the man had.
Seeing him rush at them albeit slow, Takashi dodged a grab, Rei however wasn't so fast as as she was forced to defend herself.
"STAY BACK!" Jabbing the pole into the "teachers" chest, blood oozed from the wound, seeing the three relax, Takashi went to help Rei remove the staff if not for "Wakisaka" to moan in hunger as he struggled to reach Rei, forcing her to the floor as he jerked forward, Takashi watched in slow motion as Hizashi went to grapple the teacher.
Letting Rei remove the staff, the "Teacher" struggled in Hizashi's grip, the teen watched in horror as the Teacher went to bite into Hizashi's arm, Takashi moved without thinking.
The Primal scream of pain as Takashi had jaws clamp onto his wrist with blood flowing from the bite, Hizashi let go to smack the Head of the "Teacher", sending him to the floor as Takashi held his wrist in agony as he tried to stem the bleeding, he glared at the THING in front of him, he stomped on it's Back with FURY, he raised his right foot above the zombies head as it turned to look up, he stomped with brain and ichor flying from the attack alone, Takashi winced as he held his right wrist, Rei moved to Takashi with Hizashi staring at him with horror.
"Takashi, Why!?" giving them a pain filled smirk, he spoke with a grunt.
"We're all getting out of here today" grunting as his vision swam with veins easily on the edges of his vision, he spoke.
"We need to get everyone to hunker down *Grunt* Get moving I'll keep up" getting hesitant looks from the two, Takashi spoke firmly.
"We need to keep as many alive as possible, strength in numbers and all that, just be sure to find Saya for me, would you?" getting confused looks from the two, he spoke bitterly.
"Since Rei took a liking to you, I decided to move on, and Saya was the only one there for me… so please do that for me" grunting as he got up from his kneeling position, he spoke.
'I'm gonna try and draw them away from everyone, tell Saya Takagi, that she was the best girlfriend a guy like me could deserve" getting stunned looks from the duo, Rei spoke with a tone of regret.
"I confided with Hizashi, because he found out by accident that I was held back because of Shidō Kōichi blackmailing my father, I'm sorry I never told you or said anything until now" getting a bitter chuckle from Takashi, he spoke.
"Just focus on getting out of here, than we'll be even" moving away from the two, Takashi winced a she felt his head throb, he found a broom closet open.
Seeing no one or anything walking around, he closed the door behind him before passing out with his vision swimming.
