If there's somethin' Strange…
Stepping out onto the street with a perplexed look, Takashi and his group stared in cautious confusion as the street had barely any zombies stumbling about, some remained instead of joining the Horde, Majima and Mei looking further as many other survivors began quietly leaving the safe confines of they're homes, those that had killed Alice's father weren't among the living, good riddance.
Stepping to a houses brick fence, Takashi spoke.
"Hey, is there anything on the news about this?" Getting a startled yelp form the poor old couple, Takashi spoke with a gentle apology.
"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you both" Getting a gentle smile from the elderly lady, the bespectacled husband spoke.
"The news said no such thing about Zombie migration, noting on the internet either" getting a nod from Takashi as people began to celebrate, the loud roar of a Crusher quietened them down quickly, turning to the source of the roar, Takashi blinked as it limped forward with a smaller zombie on it's back, the smaller one had pale skin, black hair with CLAWS sinking into the thugs back, the signs of them both fighting all the more obvious now as the smaller zombie took a big chunk of the Crusher's neck before the zombie fell down with it's head torn off.
Leaving the smaller zombie tumbling forward to show it's attire to be that of a Preschooler… oh shit.
Seeing the zombie child look up with a groan, Takashi gestured for the elderly couple to go back inside as the zombie child instantly stared at him as Majima stepped to his side as the others quickly got back to safety.
Staring at one another, the Zombie child stood up, causing the two to get ready for a fight.
Before the Zombie child turned and fled, leaving the two frowning in confusion while from the second story floor, Saya noted the zombie with a confused look.
Sitting down at the zombie less street, the few stragglers made it a safety risk.
Saya sighed as she decided to relax at the calm sounds from below.
Sitting within the living room with a laptop on her lap, Futaba looked up to the News to see it reporting the sudden, weird zombie migration, she perked up at seeing a doctor come on screen, requesting for all survivors to make way to extraction zones, seems they also noticed the sudden drop of zombies.
"GUYS, THEY'VE OPENED UP THE EXTRACTION POINTS AGAIN!" getting alarmed sounds from the entire household as Futaba brought up a current map of the city, she put it into editor mode to map out all evacuation hubs, watching the news again as it showed soldiers struggling to keep them, Takashi and Majima returned with Mei crossing her arms.
"What do you mean they opened up the Extraction points?" turning to Takashi as he leaned on the couch, Saya was walking down the stairs to hear the commotion.
"With the sudden drop of zombies, the military are currently trying to retake those that have been overrun, from what we can see some are a success while some are a struggle" watching the news show another operation, the soldiers were Struggling against a Sumo before it was blown up by an RPG from a second story buildings window.
"Should we help them?" turning to Ryuji as he stood beside Yuki, Mei looked down before speaking up.
"The Military I encountered with my other immune group on Banoi didn't really end well, but it seems these ones are putting an effort to get as many people out as possible" turning to the news as it showed people escaping through a heavily guarded checkpoint, Takashi spoke.
"Ryuji's right, we can possibly help as many people, even our families still trapped here?" getting a stunned look from Saya who he shared a glance with, Ryuji perked up as Yuki gasped as she brought out her phone.
"My Mom, I completely forgot she came home from her business trip" dialling the number, Ryuji watched her quickly leave to keep her company.
"Even if we save as many people, we won't get anything done unless we get into contact with the military" turning back to Mei who gave a frown at her words, she looked back to Takashi whose eyes widened with an epiphany as she released her mistake.
"Oh no" moving to Futaba Takashi spoke with a request.
"The closest extraction point to us, can you see how far we are from it?" Getting a curious look from Futaba, she quickly typed it in.
Allowing Takashi to sit down and wait, she perked up with surprise.
"We have one to the upper districts of Tokonosu city, bordering the upper and lower markets, the Military have set it up for extraction, it's far, possibly a Hike if we go on foot, an hours worth if you drive" getting a nod, Takashi gave another request.
"Try and contact the Military, if we work together we can put an end to this mess in one fell swoop" Getting a smile from the teen, Mei sighed while messaging her temple.
"Too optimistic…" Getting a pat on the back by Majima who had a small smile, she couldn't help but return it.
Before anything else could be said, the front door was banged on loudly, making them all jump at the sound before a large mutated muzzle broke through, showing a mutated dog as it bit into the wood.
The sight made them all stare in alarm.
"TO THE BUS!" hearing that declaration, the entire house got moving while Takashi and Ryuji moved to Barricade the door to buy time, Majime looked out the window in confusion, and seeing the whole pack of Hellhounds waiting patiently, a larger one stood back watching the whole scene play out, it oddly enough had the face of a Pitbull stretched out.
Moving to grab a shotgun, Majima had a double take at seeing a Zombie step to the large zombie dogs side, Majima cursed in recognition, even if the thing had a more bulked up body of exposed muscle.
"I think we have bigger problems than these dogs!" getting a confused look from the two as the others finally packed up and moved to the Bus, the sound of Rei speaking up made them move.
"We're ready get in!" rushing from the door as the Hellhound outside struggled to get through the barricade.
The trio left to the back door as the door crumbled with the confused Hellhound sniffing for them.
Closing the door to the bus while the larger roller door opened slowly, the Hellhounds bounded around the corner… into the makeshift trap.
Watching limbs scatter from the explosives set up thanks to Yuji, Shizuka drove forward without hesitation, the alpha Hellhound dodged to the right to avoid being hit, the Truck driven by Majima, Shizuka let him get in front before she screamed as a figure latched onto the side of the bus, she stared into the familiar yet mutated face of Shido, the man's eyes sporting a Bloodshot look as he stared at her hungrily.
"Hello" Getting a frozen look from Shizuka, Shido went to reach in if not for Takashi to aim the rifle end of The Remedy into his face.
"FUCK OFF SHIDO!" forcing the mutated man to drop from the moving vehicle, the thing that was once a man rolled onto his feet to calmly walk after the Bus and Truck, the Alpha Hellhound stopped beside him with a snarl
Showing it to be the size of a Horse, giving it a pat on the neck, the dog gave a low whine before Shido climbed onto it's back.
Watching them flee, the zombified man gave a hiss before he turned to his right where move zombies stepped to his side, turning to him he gave a nod before the five rushed after the survivors.
Leaving Shido smiling to himself with sharp teeth.
