Run and Burn to Survive
Panic was all that echoed within the Bus at the encounter with a mutated Shido of all people, Tsunoda and Miura were having mental breakdowns at a Teacher now hunting them, Rei had a look of denial of the man still being somewhat alive, Hizashi kept looking behind them through the back window while Takashi kept vigilante alongside Ryuji and Majima, Futaba was hunkering down with a laptop on her lap typing away as she was connected for now.
It was Mei who had a shocked look.
"Things are changing, never before had an infected still have enough self left to SPEAK" looking to Shizuka who drove with a fear stricken look, Mei and Oda shared a look before the man quickly took the wheel after calmly freeing the wheel from her grip, Mei simply sat with Shizuka as she shook, Alice thankfully was in the truck with Sojiro, Kurokami and Saeko ahead of them.
Standing up while loading The Remedy, Takashi looked out the window to spot three Hellhounds chasing them, he swore while taking aim, the swerving of the bus made him lose balance as he lurched further out the window, if not for Ryuji to grab ahold of him to keep him.
"Oda, keep her steady!"
"Hard to do that with all the cars on the road.
Frowning at just now noticing the cars passing them by, Takashi caught the glance of a car broken into with a man's face half eaten, the immune Teenager leaned back out to try again, aiming with the intent to fire, he nailed a Hellhound in the head, watching it tumble with the one behind it tripping over to get it's neck impaled by a burning car wreckage, the final Hellhound was nowhere in sight much to Takashi's anxiety.
"WHERE'S THE THIRD ONE!?" moving to climb back in, Takashi looked up to see the Hellhound lunging from above at him.
Raising The Remedy with jaws snapping before his face, the full weight of the Dog literally pulled both Takashi and Ryuji out the window, the hard shells of car roofs cushioning the fall if you can call it that, Saya leaned out the window in panic as an explosion behind them hid them from sight.
"TAKASHI!"
hours later
Giving a groan as he came to, Takashi stared up into the sky from what was a sun roof of a car.
The Remedy still in his grip with teeth marks, the teen gave a groan before climbing up steadily as his back ached.
Looking to the seat he gave a gag as a corpse had broken his landing.
Looking out the car windows with a frown, Takashi leaned back at seeing zombies on the street, some crawling while some ignored the fire clinging to skin and clothing.
Takashi gave a grunt as he stood up and climbed onto the roof.
Looking around for Ryuji, he spoke up.
"RYUJI!?" listening for a response even as Zombies turned to his voice, he ignored them as he walked along the parked cars in search of the Blonde, he gave a yelp of alarm as Ryuji gave a yell form another sun roof, wearing a Motorcycle helmet poorly.
"HELP ME GET THIS OFF!" grabbing the safety latches, Takashi fumbled with them as Ryuji tried to stay still, he gave a yell as the thing popped off his head to show he sported a black eye as he regained his breath, he spared a glance to Takashi as he knelt down on the roof with relief..
"What the fuck was that!?"
Pointing to the road where the bus had driven off, Takashi spoke with tiredness.
"My old Teacher somehow coming back from being a Zombie" getting an astonished look from Ryuji as he sighed,
"Must be some messed up Teacher, i guess" getting a nod from Takashi as he surveyed the street, the two were left stranded.
"Now what?" giving his fellow immune a look, Takashi brought his phone out to see it undamaged thankfully, he quickly brought out his map app to show a birds eye view of the current location, the two jumped at hearing a snarl to the right of Takashi, the two stared at the Hellhound crawling towards them with it's back legs missing, it's intestines dragging behind it as it crawled towards them, Takashi took aim and fired a head shot.
Standing up he reached down to Ryuji to help him out.
Standing up while brushing himself off, Ryuji sighed while leaning on his knees.
"How far are we from the Checkpoint?" turning to Takashi as the teen looked to his map, Takashi looked to the Road of fire before noticing it led to a tunnel with a Maintenance door open.
"We go through the tunnels maintenance corridors, they'll lead straight out the other side I think"
"You think?" turning to give Ryuji a tired look, the two turned down the road to see a Horde of running zombies stalking the streets.
"Yep, sounds good, sounds awesome always wanted to go through these" following after Ryuji as he calmly ran to the door, Takashi close behind him as the Horde moved closer.
Looking over his shoulder to see a Running zombie riddled with glass shards, Takashi rushed into the door with Ryuji slamming it closed before throwing a heavy shelf to barricade it.
"Why the fuck do they have to run?" getting a chuckle from Takashi a she caught his breath within the dark room, he spoke.
"Your asking me that question or nature?" getting a laugh from Ryuji as he brough out a flashlight, he illuminated the Long, dark and creepy hallway before them…
