Chapter 6: Kuro of a Thousand Plans and "The King of Liars" (Part 3)
Luffy, Nami, Zoro, and Usopp covered part of the slope in oil, trusting that the pirates would sneak away and allow them to hit them.
"Hey, not a bad idea. Simple, but effective." Demeter said.
"Okay, how are they going to screw it up?" Ares sighed. "I know we're not even halfway there, but I have a feeling that plans will always be ruined."
"Shut up, brother."
Nami and Luffy were impressed with the idea, and Usopp claimed that he is quite confident in his tricks and slingshot, which made the other three smile. Although Zoro saw the sky slowly light up with cold colors.
They wait for them as the camera hovers over Kaya's sleeping form, but they cut off the large ship that resembles a giant black cat when she reaches shore. Jango ordered the henchmen to ransack the city and head for the mansion, but then one of the pirates noticed two small boats. Jango said that he doesn't bother with them, since the ships are not treasure ships and they have a schedule.
There were big smiles from the audience as they waited in anticipation, though there were some suspicious looks at the mention of Luffy, Zoro, and Nami's ships.
"I can't wait to see their faces." Hermes smiled and clasped his hands. "They will be in for a big surprise."
But the Black Cat pirates apparently did not come from the side of the others, as Luffy was confused by this.
"What?" cried the demigods, staring wide-eyed at this revelation.
"Mortal Long Nose, you didn't ..." Zeus paused at first.
Nami covered her ears with her hands, hearing something from a distance. Then Usopp mentions that there is a place like this in the north, and his reasoning for not going there is because this is the place where Kuro and Jango had their secret meeting, so he just assumed.
"Damn it, Long Nose!" The king of the gods yelled at him. "It turns out there is another shore, and you didn't think of covering that place as well!"
"If this wasn't a life and death situation, I might have thought it refreshing that someone other than Luffy was acting stupid." Hera patted him on the face.
Usopp told them that if they head north and run for three minutes, they will reach the other shore. Then Nami panicked, realizing that his ships are on the north shore while he worries that the pirates will take the treasure.
"Nami, I know mortals need money to live, but I feel like they care about the villagers first." Hestia pouted.
"I don't know ... I think there's something about her that ... I don't know, just that she's trapped." Annabeth commented.
"Are you sure?" Thalía asks him
"Almost certainly."
Luffy and Usopp ran, but before Nami and Zoro could escape as well, Nami slipped in the oil, grabbed Zoro's sword, and knocked him down. Zoro told him to let go, but Nami used him to climb, leaving him on the oil slide.
"Damn it, Redhead! He's like your second best fighter!" Clarisse was practically ranting.
On the north slope, the Jango pirates were being shot down when Jango recognized the guy above; Usopp.
Usopp gasped heavily, declaring to be 'Captain Usopp' and he will defeat them. In his mind of him, he was surprised to be the first to arrive, remembering that Luffy ran ahead of him.
"They are definitely going to mush." The god of the forge said blankly.
"Hey, you should give it a try." Aphrodite said. "I mean, I doubt he can defeat them all, but I'm sure he can do something."
"You are unusually generous to him, you know?"
"I am the goddess of love, this time I want to think that it is the love that you have for these people that makes you fight for them."
At that moment, everyone was shocked.
"Afordita, generous and compassionate? Oh, what gives me something ..." The king of the gods fell dramatically while the aforementioned goddess made a pout.
"Lady Aphrodite, with due respect, you are not known for being generous, so ..." Annabeth began, but Junior covered her mouth and told her to shut up.
"Say no more, she was able to make you stop loving Percy. Once, she tried to kill the human Psyche when she fell in love with hers her son Eros because she took Aphrodite's honors. Believe me, she is more how capable. "
Aphrodite smiled proudly while the demigods got angry.
After the eye catches, Zoro's attempt to climb the slippery slope was shown and Luffy got lost.
"You have to admit that everything seems to be going downhill." Groover told his friends, but then he blinked in realization. "Okay, that wasn't supposed to be a pun."
"If so, I would have condemned you to Tartarus." Themis warned the guardian, who felt a chill down his spine.
Back on the north slope, Jango pointed out Usopp as the boy who heard his plan, but Usopp tried to 'warn' them of his 100 million crewmates that they would hit them completely. While the henchmen don't believe a word he says, Jango easily believes his lie about him.
"... It's not a realistic number and he still believed it." Hera looked at the man, dumbfounded, along with some of the teenagers.
"You are incompetent." Athena pressed her fingers to her nose.
"If Titans and Giants were so foolish, heroes wouldn't be necessary." Zeus said.
"You are a thousand times worse than them."
"What was that?"
One of the minions has to point out to Jango that Usopp is obviously lying, so the hypnotist got angry, but before Jango could do anything, one of the minions discovered that there was treasure on one of the smaller ships, to your surprise. At first Usopp was as shocked as they were by the amount of money, but he decided to use this to his advantage, lying that this is his treasure and that he will give it to them if they return now.
"I have a feeling that Nami is going to kill him." Hermes laughed slightly.
Jango called it a fool because they are pirates and it is obvious that they will just accept it.
"And this is because pirates are criminals, hated even by the gods." Poseidon sighed, earning himself an asentemptation of his wife.
Jango tried to hypnotize Usopp into letting them pass. Usopp recognized the weapon and looked at it. Before Usopp could be hypnotized, Nami tackled the long-nosed boy down the slope, telling Jango to stop saying stupid things.
Over the confusion, Nami told the pirates not to touch his treasure and scolded Usopp for allowing them to have it. After the reprimand, Nami told her not to look at his ring since Jango is a hypnotist.
"Not bad, girl." Artemis said proudly.
"That doesn't mean you can think of life-saving tactics."
Nami was disappointed that Luffy got lost. Usopp tried to back off and make Nami fight them, but even Nami admits that she is weak, though Usopp was practically terrified when they saw him shake his legs.
"... At least they are aware of themselves." Themis tried to joke, but they knew this wouldn't work.
As Usopp and Nami argue, Jango decided that his men would go ahead and destroy the village. Realizing this, Usopp decided to have both of them separate caltrops from his bag.
"Hell Caltrop!"
Transitioning to the opposite slope, he saw Zoro sprawled on the ground, covered in oil. He cursed Nami for getting him into this mess.
"I would too." Clarisse grunted, hearing everyone else cheer as Zoro was able to scale the slippery slope with his swords.
As Luffy and Zoro tried to find their way to the north slope, Usopp's burr trap worked well as he used a lead ball to take down one of the minions.
Nami tried to escape, but she noticed that thistles had also been thrown behind them.
"Okay, I withdraw that clever comment I made about Red Head." Ares patted her face while the others gaped (and perhaps chuckled) in understanding of her.
From behind, one of the henchmen struck Usopp's back with a hammer, causing him to fly off as blood gushed from his mouth.
"Usopp!" The demigods screamed, wincing.
The servant mocked him for believing they could defeat them. Before he and the other pirates left, Usopp grabbed the man by the ankle. Even when the man stomped on his head, Usopp was desperate not to pass this slope.
Even as he struggled to stand up, he wishes to remain a liar, so he has to let the village have a normal day like any other.
Another pirate tried to kill him with a sword, but Nami was able to hit the man with his staff. He tried to block an attack but fell to the ground.
"Oh no, Nami!" Everyone's eyes widened as they fell, as if the duo's battle grew worse with each turn.
Jango demanded that the henchmen raze the village, reminding them that Kuro will kill them if they don't.
The pirates ran, but there was still determination with Usopp, grabbing the ankle of one of the pirates. The pirate kicked him in the back. Usopp's eyes widen, remembering the children and Kaya. In her mind of him, he pleaded that everything he loves will not be killed.
A sense of dread hung over the heads of the god and their chilidren, hoping that something would stop the Black Cat Pirates, but then ...
Suddenly, it was as if an explosion of pirates was launched at Usopp. Sitting down, Usopp, along with Jango and Nami, watch Luffy and Zoro finally make their grand entrance onto the scene.
Shouts were thrown into the air as the divine teens cheered their arrival.
"By the Elysees, finally!" Thalia smirked maniacally, especially when Zoro and Luffy complained to Nami and Usopp for holding them back.
Hestia let out a sigh of relief.
"I highly doubt that they will be lost forever," Zeus said rolling his eyes. "But in the end they came."
"Why do I already have a bad feeling about this?" Percy sighed, already remembering Zoro's battle against Cabaji.
Usopp was surprised by the strength of Luffy and Zoro, looking back at the pile of pirate minions. Nami was angry that it took them so long to come here, but Zoro reminded her that she didn't help him, even though Nami told her that it is better if one person needs to be saved than two. Still, Zoro wanted her to be the one to stay there.
"I mean, she's right." Hestia reluctantly agreed with Nami. "Still, that doesn't change the fact that what she did was cruel."
"It's more of a perspective issue." Junior said.
"Do you believe?"
Luffy got mad at Usopp for not telling him which is north, but Usopp told him that he went ahead.
"Okay, that was actually Luffy's fault." Percy pointed.
Jango flinched, he remembered Kuro's temper, but soon, he yelled at the henchmen for being beaten by them. When the pirates rose to their feet, Jango decided to use his hypnosis to strengthen his men.
"Wait, can hypnosis do that?"
"Well, to put it simply, he's planting suggestions in your mind, since this is before the quirks appeared." Hecate explained. "It's like when he tells them to go to sleep, then their minds listen to him, and it almost seems like he's trying to put them to sleep. If he tells them that they are actually stronger than they are, it might fool their minds. to become stronger. It may differ from person to person. Even if it is Zeus who tells you. In fact, there are many spells that manipulate the minds of mortals. "
"Wow, he might have to ask someone for a favor."
At the end of "One ... Two ... Jango ...", the minions suddenly roared with milk white eyes. One of the skinner-like pirates was able to hit a wall, breaking a fairly large chunk of it.
"... Although he hadn't seen such good results before." Hera was impassive when her children gasped.
Zoro, Nami, and Usopp feared this outcome, but Luffy kept his eyes shadowed by his hat.
Jango told his crew to crush anyone in their path, and they let out a roar of cheers. As the pirates ran like wild animals, Zoro told Usopp and Nami to come back.
Zoro tried to call out to Luffy, but it was revealed ... that Luffy looked at the mesmerizing ring and roared loudly towards the sky.
"Oh no..."
"This is not good."
"This is really good!" Tyson exclaimed, smiling.
Luffy attacks the large group of pirates by himself while Nami calls him 'naive', trying to help Usopp.
"GOMU GOMU NO ... GATLING!" Luffy's blows were like a blur, as if he had more than two fists. With success, Luffy was able to beat them group by group to turn them into another bunch of pirates.
Jango cursed Kuro for believing that he would have no effect on his plan.
Luffy grunted and ran after them, causing the minions to flee, but surprisingly, Luffy wasn't aiming at them. Instead, he walked past them, past Jango, and ran toward the ship.
"W-what is he doing?" Artemis stared at the screen, dumbfounded when Luffy grabbed onto the bow of the ship.
"Stupid, that does." Hera spoke, with infinite disdain.
The hypnotized pirates were confused. Moaning furiously, Luffy yanked on the bow, forcing his muscles to pump until all those creaks and creaks led to Luffy finally ripping the bow from the cat.
"No, it's not! It's going to crush us with it!"
Everyone cheered and laughed as the Black Cat Pirates fled from him.
"Yes, fuck them!" Clarisse cheered, raising her fist in the air.
"Well done." Zeus congratulated the pirate.
"Okay, I didn't see that coming." Themis said, surprised.
As Luffy walked towards them, Jango quickly used his hypnotism to put Luffy to sleep. As his muscles clenched and he fell asleep, Luffy was still holding the bow, falling onto his back. The pirates screamed in terror as the bow fell on them, annihilating most of them.
"Well that screwed them up." Hermes shrugged, smiling sheepishly.
Back with the pirates, Usopp worried that Luffy would get trapped under the arch, but Zoro told him that he should worry about his own injuries.
Jango was afraid that Kuro would slaughter them, but soon, there were two hidden pirates on the ship. Jango relied on his 'trump card', calling out the Meowban brothers.
"Finally, we found out about these guys." Ares complained. "Now how are you going to disappoint me this time?"
"Do you expect every secondary villain to disappoint you?" Athena asked.
"Until they stop being so weak."
"I'm with you, son. They are pathetic."
From above, two people in the shadow came down.
They both had cat themes, more compared to the others. One was quite hunchbacked and slim with green hair, while the other was much larger and shirtless, named Butchie.
"... Okay, I'm starting to see what you mean." the goddess of wisdom admitted, bowing her head.
"You see!"
Surprisingly, Themis felt insulted from all sides. Junior looked at her strangely, like the kings of the gods.
"What? I like cats."
"Since when?"
Jango told the brothers that they had to finish off Zoro, but they were startled by his look, saying that they should be protecting the ship, much to the confusion of Zoro, Nami, and Usopp. Still, Jango demanded that Siam leave, as Nami pointed out that she was already crying.
Annabeth narrowed her eyes. "Something is not right here."
"Yeah, Zoro is still having shitty fights." Clarisse complained. "Come on, give him something good. He has the potential to be a great warrior."
Siam attacks Zoro like a weakling, and the swordsman told him to stop or he would kill him, but for at least a second, Siam's personality seems secure, gripping Zoro's sword with his claw. This is what Siam wanted, jumping up to show that she took two of Zoro's swords, as Butchie calls him "Cat Thief".
"That's better?" Groover asked with a hint of smugness in his tone.
Zoro demanded that Siam return his swords, but Siam asks why, since Zoro still has one to use. As if to enrage him, Siam hurled the swords behind him without caring.
Even with a sword, Zoro took a deep cut into Siam's chest and ran towards the other swords, but out of nowhere, Siam jumped on his back and grabbed his arms, causing Zoro to crash to the ground.
Siam called Butchie. The larger of the two was able to jump incredibly high for his size.
"Neko the Funjyatta!" Butchie's stomp on the ground created a crater where Zoro's head would be if the swordsman hadn't escaped in time.
The swordsman looked at the two in shock, certain that his bones would have turned to dust.
Tyson flinched at the description when Percy commented, "So that's not just fat."
"That mortal Siam shouldn't be alive because of that cut." Artemis said incredulously.
"Neko-Yanagi Daikoshin!" Siam and Butchie teamed up against Zoro, attacking him quickly, but Zoro was able to dodge his attacks until now.
Nami became concerned for Zoro's safety, and Usopp planned to help him by throwing a lead ball at the brothers, but instead, the lead ball hit Zoro's back, causing it to swing open for the brothers' claws in his arms. chest.
Both the teenagers and the gods shuddered at the blood.
"Wait, I think Zoro did it on purpose." Thalia cut him off quickly, just as Nami was scolding Usopp for attacking someone from her side.
Usopp realized that Zoro must have done that on purpose, as Nami wondered if they were really saved, as the brothers would have gone after them if Usopp attacked.
Nami decided to get the swords from Zoro, confident that he would win with more from his side. Usopp tried to suggest that he leave, but Nami told him that he shouldn't push himself. She jumped off the cliff and ran towards Zoro's swords, but Jango was in front of her, pulling the ring from her.
Just as Nami grabbed the swords, Jango stood on top and off the screen, she was stabbed in the shoulder of her, falling to the ground.
"Nami!" cried the demigods.
"Usopp was right. It's actually a weapon."
At first, Jango seems tough, but upon seeing Kuro's sudden appearance, she screamed in terror. With just the look from her, even Siam and Butchie freaked out, along with the rest of the crew. One by one, there was a take on each character until it reached Kuro's furious face, screaming about what was going on.
Upon seeing Kuro, the Black Cat Pirates were absolutely terrified. Kuro was disappointed in them, dropping his bag. Jango said that he was the one who told him to leave the children alone earlier, which Kuro admitted, but he also pointed out that they would try to confront them, as he called his old crew 'weak'.
So Siam and Butchie decided to be arrogant, thinking that those three years had made them stronger, while Kuro had done 'nothing'.
"They shouldn't assume that." Hera said.
Zoro's eyes widen as the brothers walk past him. Jango told them to stop, but the two kept running after the old captain.
After lifting his bag up high and his feet moving strangely, Siam and Butchie were surprised to see that Kuro's bag had been cut. There was no Kuro in sight. In fact, he was like a flickering image until he stopped in front of Zoro.
"What's up with that footwork?" Aphrodite wondered.
"Never mind that, it's fast!" Zeus's jaw dropped.
His claw sleeves slip off when Kuro threateningly 'wonders' who they are trying to kill. The brothers tried to attack, but in an instant, Kuro seemed to disappear. A technique Jango calls "Nuki Ashi".
After another series of quick feet and dust mists, Kuro suddenly appeared behind the brothers with his claws like katanas in their faces. Kuro admits to feeling a bit slow.
"Is that slow? You can apparently teleport! And I don't think he has a Devil Fruit." Hestia exclaimed.
"How can you defeat something like that without some ...?
"This is the power of this world." Junior spoke, not smiling this time. "A world where even people like him are capable of feats like this."
The gods were speechless again. Instead the demigods were even more curious. For the first time they began to feel at home.
Jango calls 'Nuki Ashi' a silent movement technique that even a group of 50 assassins would be killed before feeling it. Even seeing it Kuro's habit of lifting his glasses with his wrist sends chills to Jango; a way to avoid slashing his cat's claw face. Proof that he hasn't forgotten to fight.
"Okay, the 50 killers stuff has to be an exaggeration, right?" Annabeth was sweating nervously, despite not being in the same room as Kuro.
"It seems to me that this is far from being an exaggeration."
They all looked on in shock, although Zoro was much more stoic. Kuro decided to give the Meowban brothers 5 minutes to take care of things, and if they don't, he will kill every last one of them with his bare hands.
"That's a bit extreme isn't it?" Hestia's eyes widen.
"So are the pirates, thieves and murderers who litter the seas." Poseidon said, sounding a bit angry.
Even though it was a practically impossible task, Jango didn't dare to anger Kuro further, saying that they just needed to beat Zoro.
Siam and Butchie ran towards Zoro, claws ready. While they are distracted, Nami ran towards Zoro's swords and kicked them towards him. Although she did not like to have the swords kicked at her, the swordsman was able to leap into the air, successfully catching and drawing them.
"Tora ..." Zoro crossed the swords of his hands over the edge of his mouth, resembling an R. "Gari!" Just as the two brothers got closer, Zoro swung forward and cut them off.
"Incredible ..." Ares and Athena thought together.
When the brothers were sent flying, Kuro counted up to four minutes. Jango realized how strong Zoro is when the two of them landed right in front of him and Nami. Zoro looked at Kuro, declaring that he could beat everyone before his five minutes were up. The former pirate smiled at first and then counted up to three minutes. Butchie grabbed Jango's ankle and asked him to hypnotize him. Seeing that he was still alive, Kuro called Zoro "careless", although Zoro thought it was his hard fat that saved him. Zoro turned around and was so surprised by Butchie's transformation that he dropped the sword from his mouth. Standing, his footsteps could create cracks in the ground with every step he took. Zoro recognized his strength and thrust the sword into his mouth.
Nami used this as an opportunity to run towards Luffy, but Jango noticed, swinging her weapon faster and faster. Just as Nami was about to catch up with Luffy, Jango threw his chakram at her. He curled the cat's head almost as if he had a mind of his own.
Right when Zoro called out to Nami, the girl stepped on Luffy's face. When Nami turned around to see the chakram, Kuro yelled that there were two minutes left.
After the gazes passed, when Nami stepped on Luffy's face, Luffy grabbed her by the foot and pulled her down as he stood up, complaining that she stomped on his face. The weapon missed the redhead and was captured by Luffy. Jango was surprised that Luffy was still alive as Zoro wondered if he was having a good time or a bad time.
"I can't say it either." Amphitrite stared at the screen, dumbfounded.
"I'm pretty sure this was all pure luck." Hephaestus said.
"Well this comes from the same person who survived a whirlpool." Dionysus pointed out.
"Once again, pure luck."
Luffy straightened up again as the chakram between his teeth snapped until he shattered. Triumph's music plays as Luffy screams in pain as he touches the small cut in the corner of his mouth while the other henchmen are surprised that he is still alive.
"Really? Does that little cut hurt?" Afordita said, puzzled.
"Hey, have you ever been cut down there?" Thaila said. "It hurts like hell."
"Not that such things affect us." Hera muttered.
After Luffy and Nami argued, Nami fell to the ground, grabbing her injured shoulder from hers. Luffy was worried, but Nami told him that she had done everything she could and that he had to do the rest ... for her treasure.
Hestia frowned and shook her head. "Come on, Nami."
Luffy made a strange face, thinking that everything will work out in the end. As he put on his straw hat and approached the Black Cat Pirates, Kuro counted up to a minute. The henchmen were scared by the situation, but even more so when Luffy approached them. The pirates fled or wandered off to clear the way.
Jango ordered Butchie to kill Zoro, while Jango himself claimed that he would take care of Luffy. Even when he brought out more chakras, Jango was sweating nervously.
Then Kuro declared that it is time for everyone to die.
"Considering that we are still beginning to see the legend of this boy ..." Poseidon began.
Luffy realized that Kuro was there while Kuro remembered Luffy, wondering why he was still alive after that fall. Still, he cares, about to activate his technique on him.
Then Kaya came in, running. Kuro was about to attack her for approaching him from behind her, but at the last moment, Usopp was able to save her. Kuro was surprised by his appearance.
"You just want a reason to kill her?"
Kaya asked if Usopp was okay, but Usopp wondered why she was here. She apologized for not believing in him, but Usopp didn't care. He wanted her to run away from her since her life with her is in danger. It still doesn't change the fact that he's fighting for her, even after everything he's been through. Then Kuro asked why Kaya was here, calling her 'Miss Kaya'. Her face twisted in anger, telling her to stop.
"Insolent mortal!" cried the gods.
"I just need a lightning to end this!" Zeus was furious at times, while Junior had a drop of sweat on his head.
"He takes his role as 'God of hospitality' seriously, huh?"
"You can't imagine it. In fact, it's one of the few things he does well." Themis rolled her eyes.
Kaya explained that Merry told her everything, as the minions were happy that they would have a better time targeting her. She begged Kuro to stop from her, telling him that he could keep his fortune from her if he left town. Kuro accepts it, but he wanted one more thing. He wanted peace of mind, that's why he earned the trust of the villagers. He wanted them both, so he has to kill them.
Someone hit the place and everyone was surprised who it was: Hephaestus.
"How ... how could you want peace of mind if you're going to kill them?" The god of the forge clenched his fist. If he was not an immortal, he would come out blood. "Do you have a conscience? What do you know what to" want tranquility "!? Even our children want to have peace and at least, I know that they would never be murderers!"
The gods were not believing: the ugly and depressing god had the courage to rage like that.
"You could have that peace if you weren't greedy!" Tyson yelled angrily, shaking his fist at him.
Kaya reached into his coat and pulled out a shaking weapon. Usopp grabbed her by the ankle and told her to run away again, but Kaya pointed her gun at Kuro, telling him to get away from her.
"Girl, don't do something so reckless!"
Kuro seemed to have gone soft, telling Kaya that he had certainly grown over the years and how much time they had spent together. He even removed his cat claws, forgetting the past.
"That's a dirty trick." Demeter narrowed her eyes. "Use the past to distract her."
As he took the weapon from her, Kuro wasn't too shy to say that those past and loving events were something he had to endure. It was all so he could kill her today.
"You...!" The goddess of love screamed, her eyes a little teary. "Those precious memories ... they mean nothing to you...?"
"He is truly heartless." Athena narrowed her eyes.
She admitted that everything she had done for Kaya was an insult to him as Luffy glared at him. Usopp took the pistol and shot him, but using his Nuki Ashi technique, Kuro easily dodged and donned his Cat Claws, using his swords to close around him. Recovery for hitting Kuro yesterday.
"Usopp!"
"Nose!"
Luffy's fist came into view as his arm reached up the slope to hit Kuro in the face, causing the man to fall.
When Luffy's arm returned to his place, Luffy declared, "If you hate getting hit so much, I have a hundred more hits for you!"
"Oh, this is going to be a show." Junior said, smiling again. "
