Chapter 6: The x Fight x In x The x Forest

Minato's POV:

In the dense forest of Zevil Island, the air was thick with tension. The Hunter Exam had reached a critical point, and almost only the most skilled candidates remained. Killua moved silently through the trees. Minato was right beside him, their abilities complementing each other perfectly.

Suddenly, Hanzo appeared out of the shadows, his blade slicing through the air toward Killua. Killua's sharp instincts kicked in, and he dodged effortlessly, a counterattack incoming. Hanzo barely avoided the attack, flipping backward to land on a tree branch.

"Stick together," Minato whispered, his eyes scanning for Hanzo's next move. Killua nodded. They both knew Hanzo was a tough opponent.

'He's fast, but his strength is a little lacking. I guess that's why he also uses kunais'

Hanzo attacked again, this time aiming for Minato with lightning speed. Minato blocked the strike, but the force of the blow was strong enough to make him skid back. Before Hanzo could press the attack, Killua was on him, his claws flashing in the dim light. Hanzo was forced to retreat.

Hanzo was skilled, but he couldn't match the relentless assault from both Killua and Minato. They moved in sync, exploiting Hanzo's openings with precision.

Frustrated, Hanzo threw a smoke bomb, hoping to divide them in the thick fog. The forest became silent, the dense smoke masking all movement.

"Watch your back," Killua muttered, staying close to Minato. The two moved cautiously, aware that Hanzo could strike from any direction. Suddenly, Hanzo lunged at Minato from behind. But before his kunai could reach its target, Killua intercepted him with a powerful kick, sending Hanzo crashing into a tree.

Hanzo quickly recovered, but the tide had turned. He was outnumbered and outmatched. With one final, coordinated attack, Minato swept his legs, sending Hanzo to the ground, and Killua lands a last blow into his gut.

Breathing heavily, Hanzo looked up at his opponents, realizing he had been bested.

Hanzo: "You two are a strong team."

Hanzo gave a respectful nod before passing out.

Minato sighed in exhaust.

Minato: "That was a close one... I barely had the stamina to continue"

Killua: "He is a tough one. Anyway"

Killua grabs the tag from Hanzo's pocket and hands it to Minato, together with the other 2 tags of the three brothers.

Minato: "Thanks. I guess our plan worked out"

Killua: "For now. We have to make sure noone takes our badges away now, so we should hide. And maybe tie this guy down or something, it would be bad if he decided to fight us again."

Minato: "You're right."

So Minato and Killua tie Hanzo to a tree and take his Kunais away.

Killua: "He won't need these anymore"

Killua throws Hanzos Kunais with full strength, them most likely landing in the sea.

Minato: "So, where are we going?"

Killua: "We? Nowhere. We split up now."

Minato: "What? Why?"

'Is he crazy?'

Killua: "If someone finds us together, we will lose all 7 badges."

Minato: "Why? We just beat them up!"

Killua: "There are two people that we can't beat still in this exam: Hisoka and that robo guy. And those we won't win against even if we fight together. So, we split up. Also, only one of the badges i gave you was from the brothers. The other was my own. You should give me yours too. This way they might not be interested in you once they know you dont have your own badge anymore in case you're their victim."

Minato; "I don't know if you thinking ahead is admirable or annoying. Fine"

Minato hands Killua his tag #406.

Killua: "We will trade the tags back when the phase ends. Bye"

Killua walks away into the deep forest.

'Well, time to find shelter.'

Minato finds a small hill with a trough and sits down inside there.

'That boy really is something... Wait, why do I think of him again now?!' *blushes*

Minato looks at Killuas tag #99

'I do think about him a lot... could it be?'

He holds the tag to his heart.

'Do I like him?'

We made it! The romance is allowed to begin!

Honestly I am really glad, now i can write the way I am really good in. Deep thoughts, fluff, drama and such! So now the story will become interesting! I want to thank all of you for making it here, because honestly, I don't think I would're read 6 of such boring chapters... And yes i really find them boring :(

I tried my best to make it readable and atleast a little interesting, but whatever. We made it here now, and that's what matters
