Chapter 7: Realization x of x the x obvious
Minato's POV:
5 days have passed since Killua and Minato parted ways, and now the 4th phase on Zevil Island is about to end.
'I'm really looking forward to seeing him again'
Minato grasps Killua's tag in his hand.
'I guess I really do like him. But why? And... he's a boy... Okay, I guess that doesn't actually matter much but I'm not gay- am I? ahh, I'm overthinking it.'
He started wandering towards the coast shere the ship will collect the qualifying examinees.
'I have to think this thoroughly through. With a cool head. But the more I do, the more I realize that I like him. Is that really so good? Is there even anything possib- ah fuck it! Minato stop overthinking! You're annoying!
However... i quite enjoy thinking about him.'
[15minutes later]
Minato arrives at the coast. A few people were there already, including Hisoka.
'Hisoka is here... He was Gon's target, and since he made it it's unlikely Gon got his tag. However its possible Hisoka just got his victim and 3 other tags, wouldn't be surprised'
[A while passes]
Killua shows up together with Gon, Kurapika and Leorio.
'There they are, finally'
Minato walks over to them.
Minato: "Took you long enough. I was almost scared I wouldn't get my badge back"
Killua: "As if. Here"
Killua hands Minato tag #406, Minato gives #44 to Killua.
'Wish I could keep it a little longer...'
All the contestants are then ordered to show the tags they currently own to qualify for the fifth phase of the Hunter Exam. 9 examinees pass:

Once again, they are picked up by the airship. Gon, Killua and Minato converse about what they experienced again, before an announcement is made.
"Every of the nine remaining contestants shall come to the chairman's room to answer some questions. First off is #44 Hisoka"
Minato: "Huh? An interview? I wonder what the old guy is planning"
Killua: "It might be a test too, who knows."
Gon: "Exciting!"
Killua leaves after Pokkle, and shortly after Kurapika Gon departs too. Then, it's Minato's turn.
'Let's see what he wants from us'
Minato enters a dark chamber and sits down opposite to Netero.
Netero: "So, why do you want to be a Hunter?"
'I don't think he actually cares, but whatever'
Minato: "To be able to live my own life, not controlled by my family"
Netero: "Mhmm... Okay, who do you keep an eye on?"
Minato: "Uhh... in a bad way, #44 Hisoka and #301 Gittarackur. In a good way, #99 Killua"
Netero: "Very well, and then: "Who don't you want to fight?"
Minato: "That would also be #44 Hisoka, #301 Gittarackur and #99 Killua."
Netero: "Thanks, that's it, you can leave"
Minato leaves the chamber again and sees Gon and Killua waiting for them
Killua: "Seems like he's planning some sort of tournament"
After a while, Gon passes out from exhaustion, so Killua and Minato bring him to the sleeping room. Afterwards, they're alone again.
'Why is there nobody else around... I'm getting too nervous... what am I supposed to say? I like you- haha funny Minato! As if he would ever like you back right now! The random boy he just met a few days ago! You're really an idiot'
Minato: "Do you like sweets?"
Killua: "Maybe"
Minato: "I got some from a vending machine earlier, but they aren't my cup of tea. Wanna have them?"
Killua: "I'll give them a try."
Minato hands him a box of chocolate bears.
Killua eats a handful.
Killua: "These are great!"
Minato: "Really? Well keep them then."
Killua eats them all in a matter of minutes.
Minato: "You really liked those huh"
Killua blushes a little.
Killua: "I like sweet stuff in general. My favourites are Choco-Robos though..."
'He's so cute... On the one side he's a sharp professional assassin, on the other hand just a cute innocent boy! That he exists is insane already!'
[The next day]
"All contestants please leave the ship, we have arrived at our destination for the final phase."
'Here goes nothing'
