People were running and screaming, more dead on the floor, the alarm system turned on and in the entire corridor spilled red light. Rufus himself could see something huge coming through the window, before he managed to cover his face it blew away the windows. The men keeping him safe fell at his sides, dead.

Reno put gloves and mask on, got a sterile glass jar and a syringe from the storage, also one of the devices he used to make the portable shield. A single drop caused an explosion that made the table and all the containers crack. If it wasn't the shield he would die at that very same moment.

It was the shoulder, not as fatal as a cut artery, but it hurt like hell. He was lying on the dirty wet ground and tried to realize where the hell he was.

"I can't do my job when you are acting like a child!" Rude lost it. "And I can't do my job when you avoid the direct order, risking both mine and your life, entering unprepared at an endangered zone, and not trusting my call.
