Author's Note: I just saw the trailer of the upcoming movie called 'Star Wars: Skeleton Crew'. It looks interesting, but I'm gonna wait and see what happens before making any assumptions or expectations. Though I still disgusted that Disney call Anakin's lightsaber now Rey's lightsaber. The worst thing about the Disney sequels of Star Wars is that it turns the whole movie franchise from being about the rise, fall and legacy of Anakin, to being about how the Jedi can't overcome the power of Palpatine.

Message to Guest: Quit giving me story requests and requests on the chapters of my fanfic stories. I am not interested.

I don't own Star Wars or its characters, but Nadia Aomori and my other OCs I own only.

Enjoy!

Fire of the Rebellion

Chapter 27: Lisa's Training

On Naboo, Queen Costil was at the Banqueting Rotunda; a squat building located next to the Royal Palace of Naboo on the banks of the Solleu River in the city of Theed.

Construction of the Banqueting Rotunda began shortly after being commissioned by the Earl of Vis, first cousin to the Monarch of Naboo, King Ars Veruna. A squat building with stately columns and an adjacent tower, the banqueting hall was located off of Palace Plaza within walking distance of the Royal Palace.

Queen Costil wore a fluffy turquoise cyrene silk dress was accented with beaded emblems. The dress's sleeves were triangular and within them were smaller sleeves. The sleeves were lined with a dark lustrous blue material. Her dark blonde hair was arranged in a fan shape with a prominent foreknot and small suspensas. The foreknot was intricate with her hair rippling like small beads. It was capped with a golden hairtip ornament with a single disc-shaped bead dangling from it which rested against her forehead.

Dalné and the other handmaidens stood a couple of steps away from Queen Costil, who sat down eating with Admiral Declann, Moff Panaka and the Naboo Royal Advisory Council.

It was unusual for the Queen of Naboo to eat outside the Theed Royal Palace and unheard of for her to eat it without sampling it first, in case it had been poisoned.

But Lisa just simply ate her meal without any fear and the people were delighted.

She had won their hearts.

Once the banquet was over, Lisa retired to her private chambers within the Theed Royal Palace.

Another day completing daily schedule as Queen of Naboo has been completed.

Queen Costil's Daily Schedule

A walk in the palace grounds.

Breakfast.

Audience with the secretaries - sign letters.

Work on state papers, then meeting with the Naboo Royal Advisory Council.

Dinner.

Meet with Imperial Ambassadors.

State banquet/Private supper with music afterwards.

State papers.

Bed.

After brushing her dark blonde hair, Lisa covered her mouth to yawn as she went to rest on her bed.

Her coronation had been a huge success.

She enjoyed being out and about among the people and they adored her.

The only trouble was she caught a bad cold and had to stay in bed a few days afterwards.

Though immediately after her coronation, the real hard work began.

Some imperials thought she was some silly little girl that could be easily be bossed around, but she proved them wrong.

She was the Queen of Naboo.

She was going to rule her planet with everything she learned from Sabé and her other teachers.

Lisa stared at the ceiling as she became lost in her thoughts.

"I know all the elected Monarchs of Naboo before me faced confusion and troubles like me. Even my own mother."Queen Costil thought with a stern look."But they made it through no matter what. I attend to do the same thing."

Lisa then slowly closed her deep brown eyes and then drifted to a deep sleep.

Lisa didn't know where she was going or what she was doing.

This place was not friendly.

But that just meant that if there was some place protected enough to throw up some pre-fab buildings if they couldn't find anything abandoned that'd fit the bill, it would be a really good place for a possible new base.

Another thing was it felt impossible to breathe.

Like the air was taking up all the space in his throat but unable to move any further and now the jangling unease had spread to echo in the Force, a warning with no clear source or reason.

Squinting through the heat waver in the air, Lisa frowned.

Swallowed heavily, but the sensation of there being something that was constricting her throat, was still there, and it was only when she staggered back to the X-wing that the hot pressure seemed to let up.

Lisa lifted off the platform and took a turn over the buildings, they really didn't look like they would've been all that useful.

Better look elsewhere...and it had nothing at all to do with that while the unease remained, the screaming edge of it was gone as they continued, just high enough to avoid the highest plumes of lava that spouted up from the glowing rivers and lakes.

The planet looked like it'd had a few layers of crust scraped off, the inner blood spilling everywhere, or maybe like it'd been turned inside out.

The blonde haired girl carefully veered away from a giant lavafall and steering up along the river.

It looked like there was something more building-like poking up further above which proved to the right, as they crested the rise and a low 'flood plain' opened up below a huge stark spire rising up next to the lava river and up from the black sand and rock of the plain.

Lisa walked around the tower several times and saw it had a functioning shield and when she landed down below on the large stretch of polished rock in front of what seemed to be the entrance and opened the cockpit, the air was...more breathable.

Clearly, the shield extended out over this 'entrance area' as well, otherwise it certainly wouldn't feel this cool and easy to breathe.

Once again, Lisa reminded herself that she had no idea what was she doing.

Soon enough, she found herself taking turbolifts a few floors at a time as he came across them, following-

She wasn't entirely sure.

Something.

The creeping unease tingled in the back of her head along with the Force.

A tense string plucked to keep her on edge even when, again, there didn't seem to be a reason or source for it.

At least there didn't seem to be until she came to the door.

That was a ridiculous way to think of it, because the double doors didn't look any different from the other doors he'd walked past, but he couldn't call it 'a' door.

There was a weight to it that suggested more than that, as much as it looked like every other set of doors in the spire.

It was colder here.

It seemed to seep out from behind the double doors, even if, when she laid her hand on the metal, it was no colder than the wall to the left or the right of it.

It was cold in the Force, somehow, and she didn't know what that meant.

It felt like like anger, a burn so cold it was acid and hot in the back of her throat.

Like death.

Death would have a feeling beyond what you yourself thought about what you were seeing, feeling, in the face of it.

A glare formed on Lisa's face.

What was waiting for her through the door, she could handle it.

Lisa took the two steps sideways needed to reach the panel to trigger the door and it slid open silently, no alarms or anything at all springing to life as she stepped inside.

She looked around the room and saw there wasn't much to see.

That's when the blonde haired girl saw what seemed to be in the room was a tank filled with bacta that was so stuffed with additives the liquid appeared to be pale grey.

Gripping her blaster that was safely held on her belt, Lisa silently made her way to the bacta tank to see whatever was inside it.

However, when Lisa was a few inches away from the bacta tank, she stopped at her tracks.

Inside the bacta tank was appeared to be a male figure that was limbless.

No arms and no legs.

His skin was pale like bones and appeared to be badly damaged.

In addition, there appeared to be a panel stuck in his chest.

Lisa was disturbed at what she was seeing.

She would be lying to herself that the being in the bacta tank actually didn't terrify her.

The being appeared to be sleeping, so it meant he didn't realise she was in front of him.

She couldn't stay here anyway.

She had to leave.

Suddenly the figure opened his eyes revealing to be a burning yellow colour, making Lisa fall back on the floor in utter shock and drop her blaster.

Something brushed through her dark blonde hair, but she knew there was nothing behind her and it wasn't even a sudden draft.

It felt like fingers, trailing along the crown of her head and then brushing her fringe aside.

The figure's lips moved slowly.

"You!"

Lisa let out a heavy gasp and sat on her bed, waking up from the startled dream she had.

It felt so real.

The Queen of Naboo slowly brushed away the sweat in her forehead as she saw it was still the middle of the night.

Lisa then laid herself back on the bed to get some shuteye for the upcoming day, but woke up a few times before completely falling asleep.

The following morning after getting dressed and eating a small breakfast, Queen Costil and her handmaidens went to the Parnelli Museum of Art.

A low-lying rotunda in the city of Theed, the Parnelli Museum of Art was located next to the Triumphal Arch on a street running parallel to Palace Plaza.

The domed roof, held up by stately columns was tiled in green in keeping with the city's tradition.

There Queen Costil was going to have a portrait of herself painted by Sir Venthan Chassu; a famous artist.

Chassu was a creator of many famous works of art.

Yet one particularly famous piece was Palpatine Triumphant, a holopainting that made Chassu famous on Coruscant.

Queen Costil sat on a chair as the artist prepared the items he needed to do her portrait.

The Queen of Naboo wore a gown with orange, yellow and blue layers. With a high, orange neckline decorated with a knot, the dress had yellow bands around the shoulders and a large pastel blue band over the chest. There was a butterfly at the centre of the chest. Around her waist there was a thick blue sash decorated with blue tiny flowers. There was a short skirt layer in green which covered the start of an orange skirt that flows downwards, ending with trains decorated with small flowers. The skirt was decorated with gold butterfly detailing and royal Naboo emblems patterns. The pastel blue underskirt can be seen through a slit. Her sleeves, fixed around the upper arm with red cord and a jade pendant. The sleeves had three layers, in yellow, orange and light blue and were decorated with tiny yellow flowers with pearly centers. Around each sleeve opening, there was a white cord with a gold border with a trailing tassel at the bottom. On her arms was a short structured cape-let made in a delicate white fabric with gold scalloped edges. The cape was held together with a white cord with tassels. At the bottom edge of the cape-let, there were blue tassels and green teardrop-shaped gems.

Her dark blonde hair was in a braided hairstyle which was arranged into a braided crown with loose buns behind the ears. The hairstyle also had straight bangs and face-framing strands. On her head was a jewelled headpiece that drapes the top of the head in gold chins and decorum. There are two hanging tassels that were in orange, yellow and blue colours.

Sir Chassu glanced at Queen Costil.

"Your Highness, may I see you smile?"Sir Chassu requested."Not a serious or firm one. Just a simple smile."

Queen Costil smiled lightly at the artist.

"Perfect."Sir Chassu praised as he picked up a paintbrush."Now be perfectly still."

Queen Costil gave a small nod as Sir Chassu started painting her portrait.

As she stood perfectly still, the Queen of Naboo became lost in her thoughts.

"I need to be extra careful since I am actually a Force-sensitive being."Queen Costil thought."I need to start getting trained by Uncle Ferus and Aunt Nadia to become a Jedi. I hear rumours around Theed that the Inquisitors are hunting down children so that they don't become Jedi. If so, me and Dalné will have to switch places as often as possible."

The Queen of Naboo suddenly felt butterflies in her stomach.

"I will need to also avoid getting Admiral Declann's attention since he happens to be one of the Empire's twelve Grand Admirals and a Dark Side Adept."Queen Costil thought, trying to create a plan."I will make my leave out of Naboo's capital the following morning."

The following night, Lisa and Dalné switched places as planned.

Dalné was dressed to look completely like the Queen of Naboo and had been given a dark blonde wig to wear to hide her jet black hair.

On the other hand, Lisa was dressed in the attire she wore whenever she went out.

After she was dressed as a normal girl, Lisa quietly made her way to Veruna's tower that was one of the many towers that made up the Royal Palace in Theed.

It was built under the rule of King Veruna and housed a vast library, one that was even far larger than that of Theed's Royal Academy.

Unknown to the Naboo Royal Advisory Council, the library had a secret passage which Lisa used to actually leave the Theed Royal Palace whenever Dalné was pretending to be the Queen of Naboo.

There weren't many royal guards lurking around the palace, but the young queen made sure to watch whatever step she made.

The secret passage led Lisa out of the Theed Royal Palace to the Royal Gardens of Theed.

The Royal Gardens of Theed were located between the towers of the Royal Palace.

A lush courtyard of colourful flora from across the planet, the gardens contained many flowers and trees such as the Rominaria flower.

An artificial waterfall mimicked the natural ones that crested over the cliffs of Theed just outside the Palace walls.

There was also several fountains and benches dotted the expansive garden as well as a gazebo.

Like many other portions of the palace, the gardens were for the exclusive enjoyment of the monarch's court or guests of the crown.

Lisa carefully used the Force to carefully lift the trapdoor hidden near the bushes below the gazebo.

The blonde haired girl looked at her surroundings and saw no one was in the royal gardens, making her close the trapdoor before using a tree to make her way out of the palace walls and into the city.

When she came close to the Naberrie Family House, Lisa let out a sigh of relief upon not being caught before knocking the door and being led inside by her Aunt Sola.

Inside the Naberrie Family House, Lisa sat in the kitchen table while eating dinner with Jobal, Sola, Darred and Pooja.

A huge golden-brown roasted pheasant and petaldown salad.

Lisa smiled happily as she ate her grandmother's cooking.

She wasn't able to eat with her relatives that much since becoming the Queen of Naboo.

Though another was that Grandfather Ruwee…was gone.

It happened almost four years ago.

He got sick and passed away just a few months before Lisa's 12th birthday.

She had grieved over the death of her grandfather along with her family.

At times, Lisa would see her grandfather's warm caring face on a tree that she passes by and when she glanced to look at it for the second time it was gone.

He was a wonderful grandfather and nobody would guess how much Lisa would miss him.

As for Ryoo?

Lisa's oldest cousin and Pooja's older sister was now a married woman and living with her in-laws, the Harjoril Family.

Not long after lunch and helping her loved ones clear up, Lisa was looking through a book that contained photos that were family memories.

Pooja smiled when she caught sight of a photo of her and Lisa's late maternal great-grandmother, Ryoo Thule.

"There's Grandma Ryoo."Sola remarked with a small smile.

"Has she ever come to visit?"Lisa asked curiously."I don't remember her."

"She came to visit us as often as she can after you were born, Lisa."Jobal exclaimed as she remembered her late mother."Believe it or not, she and your great-Grandmother Winama were that ones that secretly plotted to marry off me and your Grandfather Ruwee and were the first to be surprised when the two of us actually fell in love."

Lisa chuckled lightly at her grandmother's declaration.

"Great-Grandmother Winama must've been amazing woman."Lisa complemented."That's why Grandfather Ruwee wanted my middle name to be his mother's name, huh?"

"That's correct, sun stone."Sola agreed kindly."I remember her telling me and Padmé when were small that fate is a tangle. But also we can only follow one thread. Although the two of us were often confused by the sayings she would offer."

Pooja smiled. "She sounded wise."

Lisa turned to the next page of the book, only to become lightly excited at seeing the wedding photo of her maternal grandparents.

"Oh, is that you and Grandfather Ruwee, Grandma Jobal?"Lisa asked.

"Yes it is."Jobal agreed with a small smile."That is our wedding picture."

Lisa looked at the wedding of her grandmother, noticing how beautiful it looked.

"It's an amazing dress."Lisa admitted.

"It was."Jobal chuckled lightly."My mother had three seamstresses working around the clock making it."

"Do you still have it?"Lisa asked.

"It's upstairs packed away somewhere."Jobal admitted and smiled at Lisa."I'll save it for you if you like."

Darred smirked. "Lisa aren't a bit too young to be thinking about things like that?"

Sola smiled smugly at her husband.

"Oh, Darred, please. Every young girl thinks about her wedding."Sola admitted before glancing at Pooja and Lisa."I know I did. I knew from the time I was twelve that I wanted lilies and orchids with a silver bow wrapped around them for my bouquet."

Jobal looked at Pooja and Lisa.

"A wedding dress is special."Jobal exclaimed."The kind of thing a woman wears only once in her whole life on a magical day when she marries the man she loves with all her heart. On that day, she begins her life all over again. Pure and white."

A small giggle escaped from Pooja's mouth.

"Though Ferus said he'll have a panic attack if Lisa or Gwen get married before me."Pooja joked.

"That's true."Sola giggled.

Lisa smiled shyly in respond.

A couple of days later, Lisa travelled with Nadia to a forest on the planet Spintir to start her training to become a Jedi.

Lisa wore a a thick pink coat with navy blue gloves, loose-fit dark grey trousers and red boots. Her dark blonde hair was styled in a ponytail.

Nadia watched as Lisa sat on a rock with her legs crossed and her eyes were covered with a blindfold.

"The Force is far more powerful than any machine in the galaxy has the ability to be used as a tool by the Jedi or…a weapon by the Sith."Nadia exclaimed."In either case, the Force gave Force-sensitives the ability to perform actions that would have otherwise been considered impossible."

Despite having a blindfold, Lisa had her eyes shut to concentrate and be aware of her surroundings.

"You want to survive the Empire and its evils, Lisa?"Nadia questioned."You'll need to learn how to use the Force instead of using a blaster or relaying on the Royal Guards."

Lisa lifted up her hands to use the Force to slowly lift up the small rocks below her before making them float in mid-air.

"That's it, Lisa."Nadia instructed."Concentrate."

The small rocks began to move around Lisa as she moved her hands a little bit.

Lisa then made the small rocks to form a circle before releasing them, making them go back down on the floor.

"Aunt Nadia, may I ask you something?"Lisa asked.

"Go ahead."Nadia insisted.

"What kind of Force-Sensitive being are you since you carry the DNA of both Jedi and Sith?"Lisa questioned.

Nadia shook her head.

"I am neither a follower of the Jedi way or the Sith way, Lisa. I am just me."Nadia stated with a firm yet stern tone."That's why I wield an orange blade. But remember this. The Force is not light or dark, it is balance. Seek it. Not perfect it."

Lisa nodded. "Okay."

The next lesson that Nadia gave Lisa was to use an electroblade training sword; a melee training weapon used by the Jedi Order and the Sith during the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire.

Similar to vibroswords, electroblade swords were melee weapons with cylindrical blades that delivered painful shocks on contact instead of cutting or cauterising like a normal sword or lightsabers.

It was sometimes referred to as a practice saber.

Lisa gripped the electroblade training sword with both her hands as Nadia stood a couple of inches away from her.

"Lightsabers are not playthings."Nadia stated with a frown."A lightsaber is a dangerous and destructive instrument. It's a powerful blade that can strike down an opponent or a friend, if you're not careful."

Nadia then threw a rock at Lisa with her free hand causing the blonde haired girl to use the practice saber to destroy it with its shock.

"Every lightsaber has a standard power source, the same type used in small blasters, even in glowpanels. They last a long time though because Jedi should rarely use their lightsabers."Nadia exclaimed."One of the other crucial pieces is a focusing crystal. The most powerful and sought-after gems are rare Kaiburr crystals. However, though lightsabers are powerful weapons, their design is so flexible that practically any kind of crystal can be used."

Nadia then activated her own practice saber to teach Lisa how to fight in combat using a blade.

"It will take some time, however, to assemble the necessary equipment and materials to make a lightsaber."Nadia continued as she and Lisa clashed their practice sabers against each other."Though you should always remember there are 7 forms of Lightsaber Combat. Shii-Cho, Makashi, Soresu, Ataru, Shien/Djem So, Niman and Juyo/Vaapad."

Lisa blocked Nadia's practice saber, but eventually got zapped by her aunt.

"Ow!"Lisa scowled in pain.

Lisa hit the ground and dropped her practice saber as Nadia towered over her.

"But never get any ideas to learn Juyo, the Ferocity Form as it is called by Jedi and Sith alike, the most powerful of all the lightsaber forms of combat."Nadia instructed."Because this Form drew on a negative emotional state, drawing so heavily and continuously on the Force brought the practitioner perilously close to the dark side of the Force."

A disturbed look appeared on Lisa's face.

"Yikes. That's unfortunate, Aunt Nadia."Lisa complemented."So once someone gets a lightsaber, they should practice which form to fight using it than just swinging the blade? The fighting forms were required to compensate for or take advantage of the unique attributes of lightsabers, notably the odd balance of the weapon?"

"Exactly. Even all of the weight being in the hilt and the omni-directional cutting edge as well."Nadia agreed with a nod as she carefully used her leg to lift up the other practice saber from the ground and giving it to Lisa."A lightsaber only achieves worth in how it is wielded. In the effort, the struggle of one who holds it."

Nadia helped Lisa back on her feet before noticing her niece smiling at her.

"What?"Nadia questioned.

"You're an awesome teacher, Aunt Nadia."Lisa remarked.

Nadia let out a scoff.

"Don't expect me to go easy on you, Lisa."Nadia warned firmly."Such training would lay the foundation for any lightsaber training we do in the future. That is if you ever become ready for that step to create your own lightsaber."

A determined look appeared on Lisa's face.

"I want to really learn the ways of the Force, Aunt Nadia."Lisa vowed strongly."I will make sure to follow every rule you teach me and never forget them."

"Rules are tools."Nadia informed with a frown."Not truths."

See you all in the next chapter and have a wonderful day!
