Author's Note: I have seen the first three episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and they're alright. Though I am not really into the series, I can say it so far has a great storytelling, great cast and great humour. Also, Crimson Jack is a character in the comics. He was a pirate captain and friend/ antagonist of Han Solo in the Marvel Star Wars Comics. He was introduced in the first original story arc they ran after the six issue movie adaption.
I don't own Star Wars or its characters, but Nadia Aomori and my other OCs I own only.
Enjoy!

Chapter 31: Ties That Bind
Inside the Olin Residence, Nadia was stirring a pot of gi dumpling soup; a Mandalorian-made soup dish that featured meat dumplings made from fish known as gi in the Mandalorian language of Mando'a.
Once the soup was ready, she served them in bowls of Ferus, Zachary and Gwendolyn before pouring some in her own bowl.
As the Olin family ate their dinner, RG-G1 used his little hand to place away a tray of empty glass cups.
"Thanks very much for lunch, mum."Zachary thanked.
Gwendolyn grinned as she ate another fish dumpling in her bowl of soup.
"It's so good."Gwendolyn murmured in delight."
Ferus glanced at Nadia before giving her a wink.
"Whatever you cook, Dia, it's awesome."Ferus praised proudly."It's impressive."
"Anyone can cook, Ferus."Nadia reminded.
"You know I didn't marry you for your cooking."Ferus remarked.
Nadia blushed a bit as she ate a bit of charbote root in her small plate that had some buckwheat noodles.
"I simply learned from the best."Nadia complemented and looked at her kids."Word of advice, kids. It's takes more than just smiles to make a marriage work. A clean house makes a happy home. But I can say that the most successful marriage is built on three tenets: understanding, open communication and acceptance."
Zachary sweat dropped while Gwendolyn nodded at their mother's declaration.
Ferus glanced at Nadia with a smirk.
"Dia, aren't the kids a bit too young to be learning about these sort of things?"Ferus questioned.
Nadia gave Ferus a frown.
"They're fourteen years old, Ferus."Nadia commented."They're not little kids anymore."
"I know, but I would rather have them enjoy still being teens than thinking ahead."Ferus exclaimed."No need to make them rush to grow up."
Ferus started drinking his glass of stewfruit as a smug look appeared on Nadia's face.
"Then I guess it would be wise to tell you that I got you a proper manual that will teach you how to be calm in our kids' wedding days."Nadia informed.
Ferus' eyes went big and spat out his drink in shock at his wife's question while both Zachary and Gwendolyn groaned in embarrassment at what they heard their mother just say.
"Mother/Mum!"Zachary and Gwendolyn whined in unison.
Nadia snickered lightly before she continued eating her bowl of gi dumpling soup while RG-G1 let out a beeping laugh behind her.
Katooni knew exactly what to expect when she first came to the planet known as Ord Mantell.
Just one big junkyard.
With a couple of cantinas to keep bored spacers entertained between light speed jumps.
Though having had landed on Ord Mantell's capital city, the young Tholothian woman found it's atmosphere a bit pleasant.
The coastal city of Worlport was a sprawling sea of round domes, elaborate facades, and obelisks that dotted every plaza.
While the oldest portions of the city had an architecture that hearkens back to the first settlers from Corellia, the city was primarily known for its rotundas, colonnades, carved entablatures and ornate spires.
After avoiding the imperials in the area, Katooni made her way to the Mugwaar's Palace that a casino located along the Path of Coins in the city of Worlport.
Casinos usually had large venues to host various events from concerts to boxing matches.
Even though these events were what usually draw big crowds and provided a unique experience for casino visitors.
But Katooni wasn't here to witness events or win credits.
She was here to visit someone.
Someone she hadn't seen since she was a youngling during the Clone Wars.
And that person was Hondo Ohnaka.
Katooni made her way to the bar within the Mugwaar's Palace and saw the Weequay pirate drinking a glass of whiskey before taking the empty seat next to him.
"Hello, Hondo."Katooni greeted.
Hondo turned his head to look at Katooni, only to become immediately surprised to see her.
"My, I don't believe it."Hondo remarked, silently happy to see the only Jedi youngling he had grown fond of during the Clone Wars after so many years."You're alive."
Katooni nodded in agreement.
"That's right."Katooni agreed with a small smile."Me and a few friends of mine survived the Jedi Purge, thanks to people close to us. Though Master Tera Sinube and the rest of my clan…they weren't so lucky."
Hondo let out a sigh as he placed his glass down.
"The galaxy can be a very cruel place, but the hardships will never end no matter what, my dear."Hondo stated, recalling the rise of the Empire."I lost my whole crew, thanks to the Empire. I once was a captain, you know. Oh, the stories I could tell. So many of them true."
A small smirk appeared on Katooni's face.
"I know."Katooni answered."Like the time, you and Ahsoka had to join forces in order to survive General Grievous attack on your pirates' lair on Florrum."
"I see your memory is sharp as ever. I respect that."Hondo declared."You know I recently met a Jedi after having won a ship from a game of sabacc."
Katooni raised an eyebrow.
"Oh?"Katooni asked.
"A boy called Ezra Bridger. He first lied to me by pretending to be Lando Calrissian. But after a peaceful exchange for some sorely-needed power generators, we've become good friends."Hondo declared proudly."As you know, Katooni. I am an old Jedi sympathizer. Three of my best friends were Jedi. I'm pretty sure we were friends."
A small chuckle escaped from Katooni's mouth as Hondo took another sip of his whiskey.
"Even after using sneaky tactics and treachery that were for 'good business', you still considered those three Jedi your friends?"Katooni commented.
Hondo simply smirked at Katooni.
"Even after all these years, I am pretty sure Skywalker, Kenobi and Aomori would remember me as their dear friend who had helped them during the Clone Wars."Hondo stated and became curious."Which reminds me. Are my best Jedi friends still alive?"
After finishing his drink, Hondo moved away from the bar with Katooni.
"Well…"Katooni started, trying to be careful with her words."I don't really know about General Skywalker and Master Kenobi's whereabouts. But I can tell you that Nadia Aomori is still alive."
This caused Hondo to become excited.
"Aomori lives? That is marvellous news, my dear."Hondo praised and placed his arm over Katooni's shoulder."As a good reliable friend of the Jedi, tell her that I would like to catch up with her on one of these days for old times' sakes."
Katooni gave Hondo an anxious grin since she clearly knows Nadia will be anything but happy to see the Weequay pirate that nearly sold Ahsoka to the highest bidder during the Clone Wars.
Especially, since she agreed with Hondo for her to catch up with him.
"Sure. No problem."Katooni replied, not knowing what to say."Because you guys are such good friends."
See you all in the next chapter and have a wonderful day!
