"Thank you everyone." said Balin through his microphone, as he finished singing his Sam Smith cover at Bee's party. "I was a little nervous singing that song tonight, but thank you for supporting me Loona. I hope you don't mind me saying that here."
Loona flushed in the crowd of hellhounds, showing a surprisingly flustered face as everyone awed, but then shrugged it off assuming hearing that wasn't a big deal.
...Unless, someone wasn't gonna try and touch her after this.
"Now I hope you like my second song." the boy continued. "This is a song that Bee introduced me to at the first party I came to."
Breathing into the mic, Balin strummed the strings on his guitar and sang his second song:
...
'100 SUNS' by THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS
BALIN:
I believe in nothing.
Not the Earth and not the stars.
I believe in nothing.
Not the day and not the dark.
I believe in nothing.
But the beating of our hearts.
I believe in nothing.
One hundred suns until we part.
I believe in nothing.
Not in peace and not in war.
I believe in nothing.
But the truth, in who we are...
...
Once this second, rather short, song ended, everyone cheered for the little boy once again as he bowed for them.
"Thank you again, everyone!" he smiled.
Millie sat on Moxxie's shoulders, and Tex showed him a thumbs-up as well as Fizz and Ozzy, while Bee flew down to the stage and gently landed as Balin gave her lava belly a hug.
She gladly returned it in front of the still-clapping crowd until the boy let go and left the stage.
"Now let's all give one more fuckin' round of applause to my little BALIN JOHNSON!" said Bee energetically through the mic. "LET'S PARTY AGAIN!"
Balin drank his little bottle of water with both hands like a baby with a milk bottle as Fizz and Ozzy walked up to him.
"Now that was epic, little guy." commended Ozzy. "Almost better than your first gig."
"I don't know about that." said Balin.
"Well given the talent we've seen at our club, he means epic." Fizzy added.
"Well thank you, guys." the boy smiled, taking off his guitar by the strap and giving it a kiss. His way of saying 'thank you' to it as well.
"So... would you like to make our partnership official and shake on it?" asked Ozzie, extending his beefiest of hands.
Balin then looked at Loona as she arrived back-stage and nodded slightly.
"Meh. Deal." Loona said, as she and Balin shook the sin's hand and the chapter transitioned to...
5 MINUTES LATER...
After a celebratory 'child-friendly' drink of Beezlejuice at Mirandah's bar, Balin spent the next 10 minutes along the party to find Loona or the Amos.
No matter where in the party he walked, he was always congratulated by the many demons who were either sober or drunk. Thankfully, the drunk were sober before becoming loopy.
Yet, Balin knew he could always count on Loona to protect him whenever he felt uncomfortable, needed help, or even to be loved.
Taking that into consideration, the boy looked at his wrist to see the bracelet made from Loona's fur and warmly smiled as he stroked it for the next few seconds.
Soon, he started sniffing it a bit before showing him some kind of trail, like it was leading him straight to her.
So using that somewhat-new instinct, Balin sniffed the trail through the crowd of party guests until he made it to Loona, who was showing the music video she recorded to a group of hellhound girls.
"Oh, yeah?" she laughed. "Well if you think that's cool, wait 'til you check out these pics." she then started showing them a lot of pictures of Balin on her phone.
These pictures included:
- A selfie of her licking in his ear as she prepared to give him a tongue bath.
- A video of her stroking his hair.
- Him and his school friends riding on her back through the Pride Ring.
- ESPECIALLY, the white-chocolate Dalmatian mask he made himself on his first day in Hell.
"AWWWW!" the hellhound girls went, wagging their tails at that last photo. "So cute!"
"Loona!" Balin playfully pouted seeing this.
"Oh. Speak of the devil." Loona smirked looking down at him. "There he is now."
The hellhound girls then circled him and kneeled down to him, commenting on his performance saying 'You did great, sweetie!' or 'You rock, little dude!'
As she did that, Loona gave him a hug with one arm, patting him on the back to be discrete. During the hug, the kid managed to swipe her phone from her pocket.
"You were amazing up there, kiddo." smiled Loona. "You can sing the phonebook."
"Thank you, Loona." Balin smiled.
It was then Loona saw one of his hands behind his back and looked down to see her phone missing from her pocket, before playfully growling at him.
"...Give me my phone back."
"I will, Loona." replied Balin quietly. "IF, you promise to not show anymore embarrassing pictures of me."
"I suggest you do what she says, darling." one of the other hellhound girls teased, as their muzzles all showed a cheeky expression.
"Okay." Balin giggled some more. "What's the magic word?"
"The magic word, eh?" Loona smirked evilly before saying: "Sic him, ladies."
Her friends then gently pounced on Balin, giving him lots of doggy kisses as their tails wagged in the air. Some licks even got in his mouth too. After a while of loud laughter, Balin was able to escape while they were still on all fours.
"Oh, darling...!" they all giggled in a sing-song tone.
As Balin ran through the party of guests, he soon ran out to a waterslide that lead down to two pools. One filled with red wine, the other filled with fruit-punch.
With Loona and her little pack sniffing closer up towards him, the boy handed a lifeguard imp her phone and raced down the waterslide before they could catch him. But as the lifeguard gave Loona her phone back, she saw with her super-sight that he was about to splash into the red wine pool.
Her eyes widened, knowing a little kid couldn't swim in alcohol in case he drank it, so she tried to switch the points so he could land in the punch pool instead.
But with how fast he was going, it was too late.
The boy landed in the red wine pool with his head above the water and his eyes closed. And he started slashing about with the rest of the demons in it until Loona ran up to him.
"Balin! You okay?" she called out to him. "Did you drink any of that... red water?"
"No, Loona! I'm okay!" he replied back as he treaded the wine. "But why is it red?"
"You'll find out when you're older." she chuckled. "Now come on outta there."
Balin then started swimming like a puppy all the way to Loona with her arms out, ready to pull him out of the water.
"I'm so sorry I took your phone. I was only being cheeky." he said guiltily. "Do you have it back now?"
"Yep. Right in my sight once again. As always." she rolled her eyes, shaking it in her hand. "But between you and me, that was kinda epic."
As Loona ruffled Balin's head, the two soon heard another familiar feminine voice over the stage microphone.
NEPTUNE: "I'd like to dedicate this performance to my cute little human friend who just performed on this stage, as well... as the hunk of white face-painted meat underneath that whiter white top-hat, who we all know as Hell's big daddy. Lucifer... Morningstar...!"
As everyone clapped and cheered, Balin and Loona walked back into Bee's party room to see it was Neptune, about to sing a song of her own.
...
'HE'S THE WIZARD!' from THE WIZ (Amber Riley)
NEPTUNE:
Sweet thing, let me tell you 'bout
The world and the way things are...
You've come from a different place
And I know you've travelled far...
Now that you've told me what it is
I'd better point you, towards the Wiz...
The entire party was so stunned to hear Neptune with such a voice of God, especially Tex & Bee and Balin.
As the funk soon kicked into the song, with the hellhound choir from earlier behind Neptune, Bee made a little string-less Lucifer puppet appear on stage, come to life, and start dancing.
Balin then started dancing with it for nearly the whole song, doing all the moves as a few of the guests joined in as well.
Even Marijiana stood next to her girlfriend onstage as she sung.
HELLHOUND CHOIR (cont'd):
HE'S THE WIZARD...!
NEPTUNE (cont'd):
He's the one, he's the only one
That can give your wish right to ya...
(HE'S THE WIZARD...!)
He can send you back trough time
By running magic through ya...
All of the super power's his
Listen and I'll tell you where he is...!
He's the Wiz! And he lives! In Oz...!
(HE'S THE WIZARD...!)

(HE'S THE WIZARD...!)
Just take your dilemma, child
And lay it on the Wiz...

And you know without his help
It would be impossible to leave...!
Fantastic powers at his command
And I'm sure that he will understand...!
He's the Wiz! And he lives! In Oz...!
(HE'S THE WIZARD...!)
MARIJIANA:

(HE'S THE WIZARD...!)
NEPTUNE:
(Mountain top note)
MARIJIANA:
He's the WIZARD...!
NEPTUNE:
He's...! The Wizard...!
...
As Neptune ended her strong with her strong vibrato, Balin's mouth was wide open at the notes she was hitting, making everyone else cheer for her, big time.
"That was amazing, Neptune!" exclaimed Balin as he jumped up to her for a hug. "I didn't know you could sing too." his voice then was muffled in her hair.
"Hehehehe. Awww." Neptune hugged him back, swaying him back and forth. "Thanks, sweetie-pie. Looks like both have hidden gems, now don't we?"
As everyone went back to partying, Neptune gently rubbed her snout against Balin's nose, making him giggle and yawn.
"Uh-oh. Someone's ready for bed." sang Loona, as she collected him from the border-collie hound's arms and Bee flew down to the stage again. "T-Thanks. F-For having us here. As always."
"Nah. Anytime for the little rockstar." replied Bee softly, as she stroked Balin's hair and gave his cheek a kiss before speaking to Neptune. "And you! Sis, I want you singing at my parties more often."
"Hell yes, girlfriend!" added Tex, making the sin look at him with a raised eyebrow. "...In a manner of speaking." continued Tex in a flush, as the collie giggled.
...
Loona was carrying Balin in her arms as Blitzø scaled down the balcony using the vines from one of the palm trees.
"Well, well, well." she smirked. "Looks like someone did his lookout duty. For once."
"Yep. Looks like the whole time went smooth sailing for once too." replied Blitzø. "For once."
The two thought they spoke too soon, when Balin was suddenly grabbed from Loona's grasp. But luckily, it wasn't Vikki.
"Rawr! I'm, like, Vikki!" Ruffette the Dalmatian hound from her posse pretended to speak in her voice, dressed up in a fake perm and glasses. "And I wanna eat a human!"
The Dalmatian then gave Balin some little tickles on his tummy, making him squirm out loud.
"Who's ticklish? Huh?" she cooed. "You are? Yeah!"
As Blitzø watched in awe, Loona just gave a few chuckles as she soon collected the kid once again.
"That's a real keeper." she thought out loud, as she held the boy close to her.
"Yeah. Got us good right there." Blitzø chuckled to the Dalmatian, thinking Loona was talking to her. Watching the dynamic duo as they left the party, Blitzø waved to 'Loonie' saying good night before saying 'Night, kid' to Balin.
...
On the way home...
A taxi-cab was now driving softly along the yellow brick road of Gluttony, carrying Balin and Loona home from the party.
Balin was now sitting on Loona's lap up against her furry chest as he showed her a small smile. Loona smiled as well, but kept it from the cab driver if he ever decided to look at her cleavage.
As she ducked her head down, she took a whiff of the boy along his waist, picking up a strong red wine scent. Feeling the ticklish sensation of her snout, Balin softly giggled.
"Phew, kiddo." she chuckled with a cringe. "When we get home, you're really gonna have to take a shower."
"I smell pretty good to me." Balin then smelt himself and didn't gag.
"Well, there's a lotta wine that has to be cleaned off of you." replied Loona.
"Oooh..." the boy replied in realisation. "Then why not lick me clean tonight? It would look like you're drinking me."
Hearing that made Loona laugh out loud, but more discretely.
"As much as I love to drink, Meal, I'm afraid I might get drunk doing so." she grinned. "And I do have a lil' kiddo to take care of for a while."
She booped his nose, showing him who that 'kiddo' was and making him giggle again as he snuggled closer to her.
A/N: See y'all in the next chapter.
