'Hey guys. Happy New Year. It's been a while and it's good to be back. I have been very busy working and keeping up with my own life. It's hard for me to continue making these fanfics, but I will keep going as long as possible.
This story begins right after the events of Rio 2, once Blu is accepted into the tribe.'
"Good morning Blu." A couple of Blue Macaws greeted, passing by Blu and Jewels new hollow. "Good morning to you, too." Blu called back from the hollow entrance. It was the morning after the party and a lot of the tribe has passed by to greet him this morning. Jewel just woke up, and began walking towards Blu. "Good morning, love hawk." Normally I'm up before you." Jewel was happy that he was beginning to get used to the tribe, but she didn't really care. She was just happy to have him back. "Well I might as well get used to the tribes laws and everything. I also wanted to do a little sight seeing early this morning."
"Well I'm happy to hear that. If you want, I can give you a tour. We can find ourselves a private spot along the way. Maybe have a little fun." Jewel offered seductively. Eduardo told Jewel to follow him and they both took flight to a nearby hollow, just out of earshot of Blu.
"Is there something wrong dad?" Jewel asked, curiously. She had no clue what her dad needed from her, and he was acting a very peculiar. Eduardo looked at his daughter, about to tell her what he didn't want to say. He was embarrassed that he had to tell her this, but it has to be done. "Sweetie, I'm sorry I have to tell you this, but it's one part of the tribe I can't change." Jewel noticed the sadness in his voice and spoke. "What's wrong dad?" "There were laws put into place by the elders while you were gone. In my opinion ridiculous laws. It's like an initiation to join our tribe." Eduardo stopped there, not wanting to say what had to be done. "Well, um, basically Blu has to mate with a tribe member in front of the rest of the tribe." Jewel stared at her dad shocked. She's heard of tribes that did this to increase their numbers and make them stronger. "Dad, that's... that's just not right. Why would the elders force him to do this?" Jewel wanted to know their reasoning behind this. It's just embarrassing to mate in front of everyone. Eduardo looked away from his daughter and sighed. "I have tried and tried but they don't seem to want to get rid of it. I'm sorry there's no other way."
Jewel sighed, knowing she couldn't go against the elders. "Well um... I guess there's no other choice. But one thing, Blu will never betray me. He wouldn't mate with another Spix." It's true, Blu would never betray her. It would be impossible for him to mate with someone else, just because he loves Jewel so much. Eduardo continued and told her, "Well, that's the thing. Another law states that if a tribe member were to leave for any reason, he or she will not be prosecuted if they wish to come back. So technically, you are still considered a tribe member." Jewel didn't know what to say. She didn't want to embarrass herself in front of the tribe, but she also gave Blu her promise that she would do anything to make him a part of the tribe. "So what your saying is, since I was once a part of the tribe, I can mate with him and then he would be a part of the tribe?" She questioned. Eduardo nodded at his daughter. "Well then I-I'll do it. I don't see any other way. I'll do it for Blu." "Alright Jewel. I'll tell the elders. Also, it's just mating. No foreplay. So you will have to get yourself ready later. I'll see you around five o'clock. Make sure Blu knows what he's going to do." Eduardo then left, leaving Jewel to ponder on this decision.
Upon heading back to Blu, she told him what he had to do. "They expect me to mate with you in front of everyone?! I don't think I can do that." He said, backing away from Jewel. She approached him and put a wing on his shoulder. "I know Blu. It's okay if you don't want to do it. We could just leave the tribe. "If I do this, would you be okay with more kids?" "Of course I would. I've always wanted more kids with you. I love you." "Then I'll do it for you. I don't care if I'm accepted into this tribe or not. I will always love you Jewel." She hugged Blu and kissed him on the beak. She was so happy that he was willing to do this just for her. Jewel yelled at them, trying to calm her children. "Nobody is left off the hook for this rule. Everyone must do it." Jeff explained, with a smirk. Jewel looked down at her children. Maria, Jeff, and Matt went over to Blu and Jewel first. Maria began, "We are sorry for what we have done to you and your family. We got carried away with our actions. You stole away their innocence and forced them into something they didn't want. You should be thrown out of the tribe whether we accept your apology or not." Blu was fuming at this point. "We're s-sorry..." Matt stuttered, tears in his eyes. Jewel stepped forward towards them now. "You better be sorry. And besides you are apologizing to the wrong people." She said, turning towards the kids. The kids were still on their backs crying and looking at the adults. The elders saw what they had done to the kids and approached them. The kids saw them approaching and backed away in fear, looking away from them. The elders saw this and put their heads down in shame. "Kids..." They looked up to see Jeff approach a little closer, "... We are so very sorry we did that to you. We weren't in our right minds and we couldn't control ourselves. We will do whatever you want to help you. I hope you could forgive us." The kids saw tears running down the elders cheeks. All three children looked at one another and nodded. Carla stood up and got closer to the elders. With tears running down her cheeks still, she said, "We will forgive you for what you guys did, but if we end up having kids, we are going to need some help, because we know there is no way of stopping this."
Jeff, Matt, and Maria were surprised at this. Why was she so calm about this? Tiago and Bia both stood next to their sister. "We were raised to be forgiving in some situations. Now this may not be an ideal situation, but if you are willing to help us through this as payment, then we can forgive you." Bia said, giving Matt a small smile. "And even though I was forced into this, it's not like I didn't want it." Tiago finished, walking towards Maria and placing his wings on her stomach. All three elders gave a hug to the children they mated with. Blu and Jewel were not surprised that their kids were so forgiving. Blu turned to Jewel, saying, "Now that is a happy ending." He leaned in and kissed Jewel passionately on the beak. The surrounding Spix Macaws all smiled at the romantic moment, as they began to disperse.
Once the Spix tribe left, the kids had one last request of the elders. Bia looked up at Matt and the others and said, "Well, since you guys have to do what we say, I want you guys to help me out." All the elders turned their attention to her, waiting for her request. Bia shifted a little in embarrassment. "Can you guys help me clean up? I'm a little dirty." She said with a small smirk. The elders also smirked and looked at the kids in their wings. "I think all three of you need a cleaning." Jeff said, looking Carla in the eyes. The six of them all smiled at each other, as each one of them began to walk away from Blu and Jewel.
Both Spix parents smiled as their children were treated with respect they deserved. They both looked at one another and smiled. "So, that solves that problem?" Blu said. "I guess so." Jewel replied. "I just can't believe my children are all grown up now. About to have children of their own." Blu walked up behind Jewel and wrapped his wings around her stomach. "Well, soon enough, we are going to have some more kids. Are you ready?" Blu questioned, hoping that she wanted them. Jewel grinned.
