Here we go again. Another take of mine in the "Gamer genre", or better yet, LitRPG this time, you guys will see that this one share few key elements with the "Gamer" besides being, well, a System and the base gaming stuff. The MC does not know a thing about RWBY, or many things from the pop culture after 2009. So expect him to be clueless about many things, and don't giving a flying f* about many others. Specially regarding the plot.
This one will probably be a Crossover one in the future, and be promoted from T to a M, until then, I guess this will do.
DISCLAIMER: I do not own RWBY, or any future thing I make a crossover with. Only the OCs, and this system idea. I will be posting this story on the space battles too, by the username of LazyPillow.

[Awakening New Player]
Slowly opening his eyes, he quickly closed them again, staring at a bright source of light directly. His eyes felt like they would poop out of their sockets due a strange and painful pressure around them. A bright light shining directly into his face, making it even harder to try and open them again
Is he with a hangover? Impossible, he didn't even drink anything beside water the other day. Then why the hell are his eyes hurting like this?
[Congratulations, "Player". You have been chosen to wield the system of type 121821]
An inhuman and robotic voice spoke, strangely, he could not feel it, like if it was speaking directly into his mind. Is he mad? Maybe hallucinating? Sitting straight, he tried to open his eyes again, only to feel the strange pain again, forcing him to shut them, again.
[Player 6040 does not have enough INS to understand what is before his eyes. Keeping them closed is recommended. Changing scenario to where Player 6040 can openly function without hindrance]
"What the hell?" Player? System? What nonsense is that voice speaking about? INS? What does that stand for? Some dumb stat of a tabletop game?
[Scenario changed. Player 6040 can open his eyes freely right now]
Could he? Well, he has nothing to lose anyway. Opening his eyes, this time he could see a dull white cubic room, a sofa that is conveniently sitting, and an old, very old, TV model. "What the hell? Is this some type of torture room?"
[No. Standard Room Model 843]
"What nonsense are you talking about?"
[This is the Standard Room Model 843]
"Right… then, what the fuck are you? Why the hell am I here? Where am I? My family will not pay for any ransom. Kidnapped the wrong guy." However, if it was his middle and younger brother instead, he could get a good chunk of money, whoever this person is.
[You are a player of the system of type 121821. Players are the users of a system. You are in the nexus of systems. You are in the Standard Room Model 843. As far as the system is capable of searching about your past, your family relationship with you is strained; They would not pay any ransom whatsoever.]
"Right, for a moment, let's say that I believe what you are saying. Why me instead of my neighbor? The guy just lost his son, whatever you are, wouldn't it make sense to pick up someone in a worse situation than I?"
[You were chosen by recommendation; His suffering is immaterial regarding the actual predicament of your situation]
"… Anyway, what do you "System" do? Do you run software? Is it a video game, some kind of app?"
[The system is a system of type 121821. This system specialty is to thrive the player in violent situations; One can only get skills and stats through killing enemies and looting their cards; This system's main stats are:
FOR = Fortitude
DEX = Dexterity
TEM = Temperance
INS = Insight.
FOR raises your overall endurance and strength; DEX raises your overall speed and reflexes; TEM raises your overall stamina, mana reserves and regeneration; INS raises your insight about the esoteric, your magical expertise, perception and resistance against the unnatural]
"So this shit is really like a tabletop game." He says while holding his temples frowning at his situation and the voice. "This fucking prank went long enough. What do you want from me? And where are you?"
[Player 6040 is suspicious. Proving the truthfulness of the system]
And then, a pop-up window opened before him.
[Player 6040:
FOR: 14
DEX: 11
TEM: 8
INS: 4
TRAITS:
COOK: 5 (40.456%)
SKILLS:
NONE
ARMOR:
CASUAL CLOTHES SET
ITEMS: Cellphone; Apartment Keys]
With a sigh, he only stared at the traits section "... My only trait is that I can cook? What the hell? Are you my Ex?"
[No. This is System Type 121821]
"I feel like I'm headbutting a wall."
[No. You are not. Your head structure is healthy, your brain is in perfect state alongside your skull]
Shaking his head, this situation is growing more and more convoluted. If it was a prank, goddamn, is a good one. If not, then what the hell is it? "What do you want, you fucker?"
[Starting Initial introduction:
You are chosen as a player, one being given a system of reality modification by the Mighty Nexus.
You are one of those who is recommended by other players. The players: Dantez41039 and _XxxAxxX_
Your model of the system is 121821, a system that thrives in violence. Your skills and equipment are measured as cards, your stats can only grow with cards you obtain by defeating enemies. Killing is the best way of getting cards; But only defeating them may work, albeit in a less optimal way.
Please, choose your name and gamertag:]
Picking up his phone, he tried to call one of his friends, only to see that it was out of reach, same thing about wi-fi… is he in the middle of nowhere? "No option to call anyone, huh? Well, I guess I don't have anything to lose right now." He made his choice.
[Name: Alexander.
Tag: KingOfTheMountain]
[Next Step: Please, choose a skill, passive and active, of your choosing, alongside a boost to one of your stats]
Rolling his eyes, he starts to scroll the skill list, many to properly read, what the hell would he need a poleaxe mastery, or the power of making his "melee attacks" generating fire? This does not make sense. "Hey, this thing does not have Fire-arms mastery?" Why pick up some old ass medieval weapon, when you can shoot someone?
[Due reclamations, we blacklisted fire-arms mastery as an initial choice.]
"What?" Then what… Well, a knife would be good, and is especially easy to get your hands on. "Alright, "System", knife mastery, this skill named wide-slash, now stats…" What should he get as an initial bonus?
Focus on his better stat? But what does the numbers mean? He should focus on his better one because it is right? Or cover up his weakness, Insight? What to do? "Fuck that. Put the boost on temperance." If zombie movies teached him any lesson, having good cardio is never something bad.
[Final Build:

PASSIVE: SHORT-SWORD MASTERY

"What are you going to do now, Hm? System, 121821?"
[Sending Player: Alexander to tutorial world 45.
World 45 codename: RUINED SCRIPT; RWBY
Starting age of Player 6040: 10
I will be with you, Player Alexander. Godspeed]
Well, that's that and this is this. There will be, obviously, mysteries regarding the inner works and kinks of the system, and how it deal with things. Well then, Godspeed. See you later.
