NEXT DAY

As the three went to school, Izuku was in deep thought.

So far, the place had lived up to everything he predicted and shared with his mentor. Lessons were tough and based on their combat exercise yesterday, it would only get tougher from there.

Strangely the homework wasn't bad so far, working together and access to the internet certainly made it easier. But he's certain that will change soon.

His classmates also made the experience interesting, right away Izuku could tell that all of them had interesting backgrounds. Todoroki especially, but it's not like he was planning on telling him.

His rather cold demeanor was discouraging, to say the least.

Izuku knew of his father of course, how could he not? He's the Number 2 Hero after all. Though his reputation was incredibly mixed.

Yes, he's saved lives. But his methods left much to be desired. They were brutal and incredibly destructive. Sometimes to the point where he left the place worse off than it was.

His personality wasn't better either, he's mostly curt in interviews and cold to his supporters.

Ah well, Izuku could at least respect how upfront he is with his personality and amazing quirk. He's got a lot of negatives but he clearly cares for civilians in his own way.

Why else would he bother to save them?

It isn't much, but at least it's something to show that he's a hero. A powerful one at that.

"What the hell?" Bakugou's confused mutter cut through Izuku's thoughts.

Looking ahead he was shocked to see that a large group of reporters were gathered in front of their school's entrance. Some of them broke from the group to interview any student that they saw.

"What are they doing here?" Toga meekly questioned as she hid behind Izuku, feeling uneasy at the thought of being interviewed.

Izuku held her close to comfort her. "No idea." He eyed the school, searching for any alternate route before sighing. "We could go around but it'll take too long." He shrugged. "Which means we'll have to go through them."

"Great." Bakugou grumbled before looking at Toga who looked sick, making his expression soften. "Just stick close to us, you'll be fine."

The blonde looked at him before taking a breath. "I know." She then looked up to Izuku with a shy smile. "I don't know why, but I get nervous around reporters." It didn't get better the first time she saw recordings of her during Bakugou's rescue.

"It's fine Toga." The OFA user wore a kind smile as he patted her head. "Stage fright is a normal thing." He grinned. "Besides, I'm pretty nervous too so you're not alone." The only reason why they were never interviewed during the Sludge Villain incident was because the other heroes took over for them.

Bakugou grunted. "I say we just march through them." They gave him blank looks. "What? It's better than dealing with them." He huffed. "But if we have no choice, just let me and Izuku do the talking, Toga."

Izuku hummed in agreement. "Let's just do that, better than making them spread fake drama about U.A. being a bad influence on us or something." The two nodded before looking at the mob. "Let's go." Toga stuck close to Izuku and held his hand for comfort while Bakugou stood tall and walked next to the pair.

As the group neared, the reporters took notice of them and as expected, moved towards them. "Excuse me!" A woman reporter stepped ahead of the group with a microphone in her hand. "Can I have a moment of your time?" Behind her, several individuals took out their recorders and aimed their cameras or microphones.

Bakugou narrowed his eyes on her, Toga did her best to hide herself while Izuku awkwardly chuckled. "Well, considering that you're all blocking our way to class, I doubt we have a choice." His gaze shifted to other students who used the chance to escape. "Smart on their part."

"R-Right." The woman returned the awkward chuckle, probably just realizing how they looked to the students. "Do you have any comments on All Might being U.A.'s newest teacher?"

Ah, so that's what this is all about. When word spread that the Symbol of Peace would become a teacher at U.A., the media picked up on this and did their investigation. Which led to other outlets picking up the story and taking a look into it as well.

From there, the news spread like wildfire. The topic popped up in every form of media thanks to the news and any individual who wanted to talk about it. Naturally, this led to theories being thrown around in online forums as to why this suddenly happened. Thankfully none were closer to the truth of his time limit.

At this point, in Izuku's opinion, everyone knew of the development.

All Might and Principal Nezu hadn't given any interviews about this either. This would explain why these reporters are so aggressive in finding answers. After all, who better to provide answers than those under the guidance of the Number 1 Hero?

Realizing that he hadn't said anything yet, Izuku rubbed the back of his head and decided to answer in his usual way. "Well, in all honesty, I don't know if All Might has any background in teaching." His time during training proved this. "But I can confidently say that he's doing great as our teacher." He said with an earnest smile that earned a nod from the female reporter.

Bakugou grunted, deciding to back him up to end this waste of time. "He's an inspiration to us, even when he's doing something as simple as giving us pointers." The cameras and reporters turned to him. "He's everything a Number 1 Hero should be." He ignored hearing some of them murmur about them being the ones from the Sludge Villain incident. "Can't they let that shit go already?" He mentally groaned.

Meanwhile, seeing her friends face the media, Toga mustered her courage and decided to speak as well. "And very kind." She shrunk a little when the attention turned to her. "He's intimidating up close at first, but after a few days in his class you'll find out how kind and patient he is." She felt Izuku lightly squeezing her hand, adding to her courage. "Even when we make mistakes or fail a test, he encourages us to learn from it. Never once berating us for failure and encouraging us to grow even if we did well." She smiled. "Beneath his title and power, he's a person with a heart of gold." Bakugou reached over to pat her back, making her smile grow.

The female reporter, as well as the rest, looked pleased with their answers. "It sounds like you kids are in good hands." Her words earned smiles from Izuku and Toga while Bakugou grunted in affirmation. "If that's the case, I guess we can just-"

"E-Excuse me!"

Everyone looked at the voice and saw a young nervous reporter at the front of the crowd, clearly a new guy. "D-Do you know why he chose to be a teacher after all this time?" He stammered while holding out a mic to them.

"What a loaded question." Izuku sweatdropped, while Toga and Bakugou looked unsure how to answer. "Well…" He paused to consider his words. "No." He answered before shrugging. "It's not something any of us would know about, we're just students after all." Bakugou and Toga nodded in agreement.

The OFA user could tell that neither the reporter nor the others were satisfied with the answer. "Crap, I better give them something before they start digging." The last thing they needed was the media snooping around or spreading false rumors. "But if you want a reason." He shrugged again. "He's probably teaching us because he wants us all to be ready." His friends gave him curious looks.

His words intrigued the reporters and this time, it was the female reporter who spoke. "Ready for what?" She gently prodded.

"The future." Izuku answered. "Life is always in motion, you never know what's going to happen until it's too late." He glanced at their school. "All Might has fought countless battles and knows that we'll be facing the same struggles in our heroic paths." He hummed. "It would make sense for him to want us to be ready to step up." His mind flashed back to a particular interview. "As he's said before, 'the youth are our future, it's our duty as not just heroes, but as people to make the world safe and prepare them to face whatever lies ahead'."

The female reporter's eyes lit up, as did a few others. "I remember that interview!" She gave him an impressed look. "You must really look up to him to remember it word by word." She casually pointed out, forgetting her professionalism for a moment.

Bakugou snorted while Toga giggled as Izuku became sheepish. "That'd be putting it mildly." He then cleared his throat and looked at the young reporter. "Sorry if my answer was just a guess, but from how All Might does things, it might be exactly that." The reporter nodded in agreement and thanked him for humoring him before taking notes.

After breathing a mental sigh of relief, Izuku glanced at the gate and caught sight of Aizawa. "That's our cue." He composed himself. "Now since we're done here, I think it's about time we head to our morning class." He politely pointed out as Toga and Bakugou looked eager to end this.

The female reporter blinked before it dawned on her. "O-Oh! Right." She then smiled as the group began to make room for them. "Thank you for your time."

"It's no biggie." Izuku waved a hand as his friends nodded to them. "See you." The trio moved through the crowd with hidden haste.

Once they were free, the mob proceeded to approach other students. "Glad that's over with." Bakugou muttered as they watched the students being interviewed becoming nervous wrecks. "I don't get how pros deal with these people every day." He grumbled as they neared the gate.

"With weariness." Aizawa answered blandly upon hearing his remark. "Of course, there are some people exempted from this." He huffed. "Midnight and Present Mic seem to thrive in it." He snorted, his expression with disdain. "I still fail to see the appeal of dealing with those vultures."

Izuku chuckled at the nickname as Toga giggled while Bakugou smirked. "Some people are just better at dealing with it I guess." He shrugged and pointed to himself with a sheepish grin. "It looked like I spoke well back there but trust me, my mouth felt the driest it had ever been."

To their surprise, Aizawa chortled lightly. "I'll look forward to the video." He jested before becoming serious. "Now, normally I would mark you all late but given the circumstances, I'll let it slide." The three looked relieved but glanced at the students left behind. "Don't worry, the staff and I will save them, just get to class."

Izuku grinned. "That's a relief." He turned to his friends. "Come on, let's see who managed to break through the mob." They nodded and followed him.

Aizawa watched them go with a tiny smile before sighing and pulling out his phone. "Hopefully Hizashi will be willing to blast these pests away." It would certainly be entertaining.

U.A. GROUNDS-1A CLASSROOM

"I can't believe the media showed up today!" Ochako exclaimed in disbelief before looking embarrassed. "I hope they don't use my footage, all I did was stutter out 'I don't know' before running away." She held her cheeks with a blush.

Ida chortled. "I'm sure they know better than to jeopardize your dignity." He then adjusted his glasses with a frown. "As for me, they complained about my answer being too 'lengthy' and 'dry'." He quoted with indignance and crossed his arms. "Hmph, clearly they can't take professional responses like they used to."

"Or maybe you were just boring to listen to." His classmates sweatdropped and opted to keep their opinions to themselves to avoid being lectured. Ochako for her part simply patted his back in amused sympathy.

Just then, Aizawa walked in. "Settle down." Without missing a beat everyone had returned to their seats by the time he made it to his desk. "Good." He nodded before sitting. "I took the time to review everyone's mock battles." His comment caused them to be tense.

The pro's gaze landed on Izuku. "Midoriya." The teen sat in attention. "Well done, you deduced a critical flaw in your opponents and added it to your team's home-field advantage." He said in an approving tone. "Not only that, your team perfectly executed your separation plan." It kind of reminded him of something Nezu had similarly done in the past.

"But." His expression turned disapproving, making the teen tense. "You got sloppy and allowed yourself to be caught in a counterattack." The man sighed as the teen looked down. "While it worked out in the end and your transformation's defenses helped, you shouldn't have allowed yourself to be open in the first place." He calmly advised as his expression turned serious. "Remember, sometimes your opponent needs one opening to turn the tide on you." He said in a sagely tone.

Izuku's expression turned serious as he met the pro's gaze. "Yes sensei!" He nodded in determination.

Aizawa nodded, pleased with the response before turning to his partner. "Bakugou." The blond straightened his posture. "Not bad. You followed the plan to perfection and used your opponents' lack of experience against them. And you controlled your damage output towards Ashido and the environment." He then frowned. "But you also had a couple of close calls of your opponent escaping." The blond grimaced a little at that. "Be mindful of your situational awareness. Sometimes, battles tend to shift without warning and it's up to you to adapt."

"Right." Bakugou nodded with a serious look.

"Ashido, Kirishima." The teens gulped from the man's gaze. "While you did well to adapt to the best of your abilities to the situation. You should take the experience as a wake-up call to work on your independence as Midoriya and Bakugou advised." The duo nodded and looked down. "Ashido, while I agree with what you said about lost time, you shouldn't relinquish the numbers advantage. You could have utilized your team experience to possibly defeat Bakugou and make up for lost time."

The girl nodded to his words and looked up in determination. "Right!"

Seeing this, he nodded in approval and continued. "Kirishima, never ignore your instincts. Even if the objective is in front of you, you shouldn't allow yourself to walk into enemy territory without certainty." He'd seen his fair share of rookies doing that and paying the price. "Never ignore all the warning signs and head back to help your teammate, you could have worked out the rest afterward."

The red-haired teen nodded and wore the same look as his partner. "Got it." The two then glanced at each other and silently vowed to improve.

"Toga, Mezo." The teen's jolted in attention. "Good work. You utilized your analysis as well as the terrain to your advantage." The two sighed in relief. "You also managed to defeat the other team with efficiency and no damage to yourselves or the environment." The two sent each other smiles before looking at Bakugou who smirked while Izuku grinned at them, sending warmth through the blonde.

Aizawa hid his smile and looked at the other team. "Sero, Sato." The two became nervous. "While I understand the importance of the objective, you shouldn't rely heavily on the traps. I recommend spreading them out more to minimize the risk of accidental capture or make them less obvious somehow." The tape user voiced his agreement while looking sheepish. "Furthermore, I advise you to have your sugar ready the moment the enemy appears, Sato." He sighed. "Unpreparedness like that will be costly in the field." The muscled teen voiced his agreement and planned on being more ready.

The pro's gaze then shifted to the rest of the class. "You all did well, take note of your errors and learn from them." His expression turned grim. "Life and Death are always factors in the line of duty, remember that."

"YES!" The class replied with resolve.

Aizawa nodded. "Excellent, now for the next agenda…" His tone made them tense. "Selecting your class president." He blandly finished.

"It's a normal school activity!" The students sighed in relief and relaxed in their seats.

"Class president huh?" Izuku mused. While the position of leadership did sound appealing, he honestly had too much on his plate as it is with being the secret successor of All Might. Plus, there was also his dream of bringing awareness to his family's legacy and research on each of the fallen.

And on top of that, there's also all that training and academic stuff he needed to do. "Geez, I'd rather have more free time." He's not a machine, he had other stuff he wanted to do!

Besides, why would anyone want more paperwork?

His classmates, on the other hand, didn't seem to mind (or realize the responsibilities) as they raised their hands. "Pick me!" Toru yelled while waving her arms excitedly.

"Me too!" Mina exclaimed with a hand raised.

Aoyama chortled. "If it's a leader you need, look no further!" They could swear he sparkled as he posed, making Tokoyami visibly cringe while covering his eyes.

"I'd like to take a crack at it!" Sato said with a smile.

Bakugou scoffed at this. "Puh-lease! You dorks don't have what it takes." He leaned in his seat with his arms crossed. "Vote for me, and I'll promise glory!" He said with a scary grin.

Izuku sweatdropped at this. "Sounds like something a dictator would say." He wore a crooked grin as Toga giggled.

A tick mark formed on the blond's head as he glared at his friend. "Nobody asked for your opinion!" His ire grew when Izuku looked amused while Toga and a few students laughed at the banter.

"Silence please!"

Turning to the stern voice they saw Ida standing tall. "We're not getting anywhere with this." He gazed at his classmates with a serious look. "I say we put it to vote!"

Tsuyu blinked and tilted her head curiously. "Won't people just vote for themselves?"

"I expect that to be mostly the case." The tall teen's response grew curious looks from them. "Which is why whoever has the most votes, will become the class president!" He turned to Aizawa as their classmates murmured their agreement to his logic. "Would that be ok sensei?"

The tired pro hummed with a nod as he prepared his sleeping bag. "As long as it doesn't cause problems, get it done."

With that, Momo stood. "I'll make a piece of paper to divide so we can write our votes." Her arm glowed while Ida politely offered to cut the paper for her, to which she agreed.

After giving his thanks to the creation user, Izuku grabbed his pen and wrote down his vote. "In retrospect, it's pretty obvious from the beginning." He glanced at Ida who was in thought. "The guy's earnestly studious, he'd make a great class president." He chortled and glanced at Momo. "She's pretty responsible too and knows when to be chill, so that makes her the perfect VP to balance things out." He nodded to himself and wrote her name.

The results, however, were unexpected.

"EH!? I WON!?" Izuku stood up in shock. He was able to hear Toga congratulating him but was too shocked to acknowledge it. "I'm glad that Momo got the VP position but why me!?" He didn't even raise his hand!

"How the fuck did you get so many votes!?" Bakugou yelled before narrowing his eyes at Toga who looked away with a bashful smile. "You're excused." His remark caused her face to redden.

Kaminari snickered in his seat. "Maybe because he's more likable." He joked before gulping when the blond directed him a murderous glare, earning an amused snort from Jiro.

"Z-Zero votes..." Ida stammered in a gloomy tone as he slumped in his seat.

Momo, as well as others, gave him strange looks. "You didn't vote for yourself?"

The tall teen nodded, still downcast. "I wanted to make it fair and give someone else the chance." In hindsight, he shouldn't be so down. He and Asui had just agreed that most would vote for themselves.

While most understood his reasoning, Momo sighed. "Even though it was your idea to begin with." She muttered and stood to join Izuku in front of the class, the latter looking overwhelmed by the development. "I take it you're not happy with the results?" She asked in a knowing tone.

"Am I that easy to read?" Izuku jested with a nervous grin, earning a small giggle from her, before looking at Aizawa who emerged from his sleeping bag. "Sensei, while I'm flattered. I don't see myself doing well as the class president." His words shocked his classmates apart from Toga who had an idea where he was coming from.

The pro grunted in acknowledgment, even a toddler could tell that that was the case. "Then find a replacement." He sighed. "No use in having a reluctant leader." The last thing their class needed was another 'President Hizashi' situation to deal with.

He held in a shiver, never again. It took them weeks to regain their proper hearing.

"You don't want to be the president bro?" Kirishima prodded in confusion. "You seemed like the right guy to vote for." His statement was agreed with Mina who nodded.

While touched, Izuku wore an apologetic smile. "I'm thankful for the gesture, but I honestly don't want the position." He rubbed the back of his neck with a sheepish look. "It's a pretty weak excuse, but I've already got plenty of stuff to deal with." An understatement to be sure. "I won't have time to do presidential stuff." He glanced at Momo. "The last thing I want is for her to end up covering for me in the long run." His words earned a kind smile from her.

While they could understand his reasoning, a question came to Tsuyu. "Kero, then who do you want to replace you?"

To this, Izuku grinned and pointed at Ida who was taken aback. "Him." Next to him, Momo understood why he chose him and nodded in approval.

"M-Me!?" The tall teen stammered as he stood in shock. "What did I do to earn such a position?" His confusion was shared with most of his classmates.

Izuku snickered. "Well for one, you're one of the most studious people I've ever met." His classmates murmured in agreement. "And lastly, you're pretty strict to rules and stuff. I'm sure you'll do things by the book." He then gestured to Momo. "Which makes her the best VP because, while I can tell she's responsible, she's also kind enough to offer a second opinion to balance out your strictness." Realization dawned on his classmates as they realized his logic.

Meanwhile, Momo giggled at his opinions of her. "While I do find your words flattering." She then playfully narrowed her eyes at him. "How do you know I'm not just pretending to be kind?" She calmly challenged.

At this, Izuku said nothing and simply stared at her with an unreadable expression, to the point where she was beginning to worry that his opinion of her was turning for the worst.

Before she could admit that she was joking, he lightly laughed. "Nah, I don't see it." He waved a hand. "I would have noticed." He smiled earnestly at her. "I'm good at reading people."

Grateful for his trust, she smiled kindly. "Thank you, I'm glad that you-"

"Besides." Izuku gently interrupted. "Even if you were a faker…" His teeth sharpened as he grinned. "You wouldn't get far." There was a predatory glint in his now sharpened eyes.

From their seats, Bakugou snorted knowingly while Toga giggled sweetly, serving to unease the creation user as well as her classmates. "N-Noted." She stuttered as her mind flashed to Tokoyami's warning of the fury of a kind soul.

After recovering from his shock, as well from his friend's sudden dangerous aura for a moment, Ida composed himself. "W-Well, if you truly believe that it's for the best." He straightened himself with a resolute expression. "Then I shall do my best to uphold the responsibilities and trust you have bestowed upon me!" He swore with a hand on his chest.

Seeing his devotion, his classmates were beginning to agree with the decision. "I can see it." Jiro nodded and leaned back in her seat. "And I'm cool with it."

"Agreed." Tokoyami hummed with a nod.

Kaminari chuckled. "The first time I met you, you were like the living embodiment of strictness, so I can see why Midoriya chose you." He then flashed him an encouraging grin and a thumbs up. "I'd say go for it!"

"It does make sense." Mineta muttered before shrugging with a smile. "Do your best!"

Hearing his classmates voicing their approvals, Ida felt a surge of purpose go through him and nodded. "I shall do my best."

"And so will I." Momo chimed in with a smile, while it wasn't the position she originally wanted, she warmed up to the idea from the faith her classmates have in her.

Seeing this, Aizawa cut in. "Now that that's done, we can start with today's lessons." The three nodded and took their seats.

LATER-U.A. GROUNDS-CAFETERIA

"Here we are." Izuku exclaimed with a big grin as he walked with two large trays on each hand full of food. When he arrived at his table, he carefully placed the trays on it before taking a seat. He hummed pleasantly at the smell and rubbed his hands together in excitement. "Time to dig in!"

With a bit of drool, he was about to reach out for his meal before stopping when he noticed that most of the table's occupants as well as his other classmates from the table next to them, apart from Toga and Bakugou who were enjoying their meals, were staring at him in disbelief. "What?" He tilted his head.

Being the first to recover from his shock, Kirishima blinked before waving his hand with a crooked grin. "N-Nothing bro it's just…" He quickly recomposed himself as others did the same, their eyes not leaving his meal. "It's surprising how much food you have." Next to him Mina dumbly nodded as she stared, if she were to guess, his meal could feed three or four people.

Izuku was taken aback. "Is it?" He stared at his meal/s in genuine confusion. "It doesn't look much." His words gained incredulous looks from his classmates.

"Not everyone has appetites like you and Aunt Inko." Bakugou retorted, gaining the others' attention. "I swear you two are bottomless." He grumbled before continuing his meal.

Izuku snickered at his point. "Fair." He then gazed at his food in predatory hunger before he began to consume it with vicious vigor, despite wielding chopsticks.

While most gaped at the display, Ochako and a few others were a little fascinated. "Woah…" It's like he hadn't eaten in years.

"Damn…" Sato couldn't help but chuckle. "Does he always eat like this?" With the build he has, large meals weren't uncommon for him but even this was too much for him.

Bakugou nodded with a grunt as he finished his meal. "If there's plenty of food available, yeah." He grabbed his cup of water. "According to Aunt Inko, 'great appetites' are a thing all Midoriya's share, even Uncle Hisashi caught it, albeit more tamed. But thankfully they've managed to get better restraint over the years." At the curious looks he got, he explained. "Back when we were kids, Izuku and Aunt Inko accidentally ended up eating most of the food on my Birthday, leaving a lot of us unsatisfied." He then directed a narrowed look with no heat at his feasting friend. "Thankfully he paid me back when he helped Aunt Inko make spicy Katsudon for all of us as an apology." There's a reason why his mother spoke highly of his aunt's cooking.

After swallowing his food, Izuku chortled. "I said sorry, and besides, mom's cooking was way better than that stuff from the restaurant." He scrunched up his nose a bit. "Maybe it was a bad batch, but their chicken had a little too much salt." He grimaced before eating again.

"And yet you ate it." Bakugou retorted with a grumble, though a part of him was glad they did based on their complaints about salt during that day.

To this, Izuku shrugged. "It was still edible and had a bearable taste." He grabbed a large piece of meat. "That pretty much makes it qualify as food, no sense in wasting it, mom and dad said so." He added before taking a large bite.

"I hear that." Sato nodded, having been told similar things by his mother. His classmates also spoke out with similar experiences.

"Besides…" Izuku said between chews. "Mom and I burn through what we eat when we use our quirks or fight." He swallowed before grinning. "Making our family's huge appetite necessary." Bakugou snorted, of course, he had to make his stomach into a logical argument.

Meanwhile, his classmates remembered the times when Izuku used his quirk. "Makes sense…" Kaminari muttered before grinning. "Geez, talk about a 'monstrous' appetite." He then looked at everyone, expecting one of them to laugh. "Eh? Get it?"

Only to be stunned when most of them blankly stared at him or didn't look amused. "Shut up." Jiro huffed before eating, making the electric user slump with a gloomy aura.

Toga on the other hand giggled. "Cheer up Kaminari, I thought it was funny." Next to her, Izuku hummed in agreement with a mouth full of food, making the electric user smile at them while the blonde sighed at him. "Honestly Izuku, you need to work on your table manners." She scolded lightly with a frown while Momo nodded, her etiquette teacher would have an aneurysm if she saw this.

"Sorry." Izuku casually mumbled with food in his mouth before swallowing and diving into his meal again, drawing amused chuckles from some of his classmates while Toga sighed in fond exasperation.

Ochako giggled in amusement before she remembered something. "Oh yeah Ida." The tall teen looked at her. "You mentioned something about coming from a family of heroes, what did you mean by that?" Her classmates turned to him in great interest upon hearing this.

"W-Well, if you must now." Ida fixed his glasses and composed himself from the sudden attention. "Have you heard of the Turbo Hero: Ingenium?"

While most shook their heads or looked confused, Izuku's eyes lit up with his mouth on a piece of meat. "Inmgreemiumm!?" He mumbled onto his food before releasing it in excitement. "You're related to the speed hero who's known for hiring numerous sidekicks!?" He didn't notice Toga and Momo telling him not to talk with food in his mouth.

"Yes." Ida replied with a proud smile. "For you see, he's my big brother!" His proclamation shocked everyone.

Bakugou grunted, impressed. "I'm guessing your father was a hero too?"

The tall teen happily nodded. "Yes! As well as his mother back in the day and so on." He calmed himself before he let his excitement get carried away. "For generations, my family has served society as its guardians and now it's me and my brother's turn!" He sat tall. "I want to grow up just like him! Not just for myself, but for society and my family!" His declaration earned impressed looks from everyone.

Izuku especially since their goals were kind of similar in a sense. "That's an admirable goal, Ida." His words got their attention. "I'll be cheering you on all the way." Bakugou merely nodded next to him.

"Same here!" Toga chirped with a toothy smile before giving a discreet look to Ochako who blushed before stammering the same while others voiced similar thoughts.

Hearing their support spread warmth throughout the tall teen. "Thank you, all of you." He gave them an earnest smile.

Toga smiled warmly at the moment before sighing at Izuku who continued to eat. "Geez, Izu." She giggled while eyeing his toned stomach and absentmindedly touching it. "Where does it all even…go…?" She trailed off as she realized what she was doing before her skin turned red and hastily removed her hand. "S-SORRY!" She screamed in embarrassed mortification.

Izuku of course didn't see what the big deal was and gave her an innocent, weird look. "It all goes to my stomach obviously." He then became concerned as he lowered his food. "Are you ok? You look red."

"I-I'm fine!" She stammered as her face reddened further from his observation. "J-Just continue eating!" She squeaked out before grabbing her glass of water to chug, while he shrugged and went back to eating.

His male classmates gave Izuku looks of disbelief, she's obviously into him, how can he not see that!? Mineta especially looked ready to yell at him for being dense but was stopped by a death glare from Bakugou. The girls on the other hand could only send the blonde looks of pity, now knowing the full extent of her struggles up to this point.

After mentally thanking everything that she was able to get through Kirishima's thick skull much sooner, Mina decided to change topics as well as help her friend. "So, Midoriya…" The teen hummed in attention as he ate. "I'm just wondering, what type of girl are you into?" Her boyfriend sent her a nervous look, wondering if he'd need to shield her soon.

Bakugou narrowed his eyes on her while Izuku became confused. "Huh?" He lowered his chopsticks. "What do you mean?" Next to her, Toga gave her a pleading look, as if begging not to expose her.

After sending her a reassuring look, Mina clarified. "Hypothetically, if you wanted to date a girl. What type of qualities would attract you?" She carefully explained, doing her best to ignore her classmates bracing for an explosion from the annoyed blond. As well as Kaminari and Mineta putting their hands together in a silent prayer. "Thanks for the vote of confidence guys." Her question was harmless enough, it's not like she was pushing them together, no matter how tempting the action is.

For her part, Toga went back to her drink, but she tilted her head a bit to aim her ear in his direction. The unsubtle motion drew amused giggles from the girls while the guys held back their chuckles.

Thankfully Izuku looked more bewildered than bothered by the question. "Well…I don't understand why you suddenly want to know but…" He lowered his food as a thoughtful expression formed on his features. "If I had to say…" He hummed as most leaned forward in anticipation, even Bakugou paid attention but was more subtle.

After a few more moments of thought, Izuku smiled and opened his mout-

"WHAT!?" Mina shrieked in surprise and frustration from the sudden interruption. Her feelings were shared by the others while Bakugou grumbled to himself, saying that the timing was fucked as always.

"The security alarm!?" Ida stood in attention as did everyone else. "B-But, that only activates when-"

{"PERIMETER BREACHED. ALL STUDENTS, EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY."}

"C-Come on!" Mineta cried out as he and his classmates made their way out.

Meanwhile, the surrounding students, filled with panic, began rushing towards the exit as well. Inadvertently, taking the 1A students with them in the flow. "Watch it!" Jiro yelled with a grunt as she was pushed, thankfully she was soon helped by Kaminari.

"Hey!" Izuku growled after being pushed while protectively holding Toga who clung to him after nearly being separated from him. Bakugou in the meantime was cursing up a storm as he tried to make room for himself, scaring the surrounding students but were unable to move as well.

After grunting from another shove, the OFA user looked ahead in frustration. "The exit isn't big enough!" Toga yelped, making him tighten his hold on her a little. "And I can't transform, Toga or someone nearby could get hurt." He groaned; how did things go wrong so fast!?

Izuku looked around and assessed the situation. From what he could see, his classmates had been scattered due to the crowd, but otherwise, they looked fine. "We need to know what's going on." His eyes shifted to a nearby window.

"Toga." The blonde looked up at him with discomfort on her features but was still alert. "I'm going to use the flow to guide us to that window." She followed his gaze the best she could despite her position and was able to spot said window. "It might give us an idea of what's going on, if not, it's better than staying in place." She looked up at him again to see his smile. "Are you willing to move?"

She thought about his plan before nodding. "Let's do it!" He nodded and together they began to move through the crowd, albeit a little slow.

Once they reached the window, Izuku turned them so that Toga had her back against the window and away from the crowd while he shielded her. "W-What do you see?" She stuttered while trying to ignore her beating heart from how close he was. "Focus girl! I know he looks hot from this angle too!"

Izuku only looked outside for a moment before he spotted the issue and groaned. "Ugh, you've got to be kidding me!" His outburst got a curious look from her. "It's just the press!" She was taken aback by this. "I don't know how they got through the security system, but we need to tell the others that it isn't a villain attack!" The question was, how?

As the chaos continued, Toga spotted Ida and Ochako moving towards them. The latter held protectively the same way she is. "It's Ida and Ochako!" Izuku could only look over his shoulder as Toga raised a hand in the air. "Ida! Ochako!" She called out.

Thankfully the tall teen was close enough to hear her. After spotting them, he managed to make their way to them. "Are you two alright?" He grunted as he did the same thing Izuku's doing for Ochako and faced his back towards the crowd. The latter has been silent since being held by him with a very red face.

"We're fine, but that's not important." Izuku replied and scowled at the window. "The press are the ones that triggered the alarms, not villains." Ida followed his gaze and spotted them. "We need to tell the people, but I don't have enough space to transform!"

Ida grimaced and considered their options before his eyes landed on Toga, the latter catching his gaze. "Can you move?" She looked down and tested her movement, which was a little, before nodding to him. "Ok, I have an idea." He gazed at the window his hands were on. "The glass appears thick enough, I can use that to push the crowd behind me back a bit, giving Ochako room to use her quirk on you."

As the girls looked surprised and lost, Izuku's eyes widened as he connected the dots. "I get it, once that's done, I can do the same. Ochako's quirk combined with Toga's build would allow her to slip out of this spot and float in the air." Their eyes widened as they realized the plan. "From there, she can transform into any Kaiju to get everyone's attention." He then grinned at her. "Ready?"

After thinking about which transformation to use, she nodded to him with a determined grin. "Yeah!"

"Excellent." Ida smiled in approval. "When everyone's attention is on you, I'll handle the announcement." He then looked at Ochako with an encouraging smile. "On your lead Uraraka."

Feeling empowered by his belief in her, Ochako's expression hardened. "Let's do it!"

Ida nodded and without wasting any time, began to slowly push against the crowd behind him, eliciting yelps and words of protest from them. "I'm sorry! But we need room to breathe!" The protests died down a bit from hearing that but their discomfort could still be heard. "Do it!"

"Right!" Ochako quickly reached out and touched Toga's shoulder, making the latter feel light.

Seeing this, Izuku immediately began pushing back against the crowd, when he had enough room, he gave the blonde a reassuring grin. "Go for it Toga!"

"Yeah!" Toga returned the grin, stood straight, and jumped. Using her figure to slip past between Izuku's arms as she rose in the air and used her quirk. She then placed her feet against the thick glass and kicked away from it as Izuku.

A flash followed suit, catching the attention of a few people, when they looked, they were shocked to see a female version of Bemstar flying over them. The transformation sports a shorter horn and tail.

Toga roared, startling and gaining the attention of most of the crowd, which was amplified by the ones who noticed her first. "EVERYONE!" With Ochako's quirk and the transformation's flight build, it was easy for her to maneuver in the small area. "IT'S NOT A VILLAIN ATTACK!" She screamed before roaring while flying above the crowd.

When their complete attention was on her, she moved to the back of the crowd so she could hover in place, thankfully Ochako's quirk made it so that she wouldn't need to flap her wings as hard and risk hurting someone with the wind. "Our class president can say it best, he's near the window!" She looked at her friends and gestured to them with her beak.

Following her gaze, they saw Ochako applying her quirk to Ida, allowing himself to float up when the crowd gave them room after calming down. "Thank you, Uraraka." She returned to the smile as he focused on the crowd. "As my friend said, it's not a villain attack!" He gestured to the window. "It's just reporters that managed to slip through security!" He looked down at other students who were near the windows as well. "Look for yourselves!"

After doing as he said, shock was evident on their faces as they addressed the crowd. "They're right! It's just the press!" With that, they quickly spread the word to other students who weren't able to hear the news.

As this happened, a significant portion of them began to calm down before helping those who were injured from the stampede while most began to calmly move to their classrooms to regroup.

Izuku sighed in relief, both from the situation having a peaceful resolution and having more room. "Glad that's over." He turned to Ochako. "You help Ida down and release your quirk, don't worry about Toga, we can fly together and meet you back in the classroom." The gravity user nodded and began to help Ida lower to a safe level for her to release her quirk while Izuku turned into Bemstar as well and flew to join Toga.

Toga was relieved that everything settled before smiling at Izuku as he neared her. "Nicely done!" He exclaimed as he hovered next to her. "Ochako's about to deactivate her quirk, just to let you know." The blonde nodded and prepared herself as she watched her friend turn off her quirk.

The lack of gravity quirk was noticeable, but Toga was able to keep herself steady. "I'm glad no one got seriously hurt." She then chirped in amusement. "Also, it was fun flying with Ochako's quirk." She felt like the embodiment of wind with how light she was.

"Noted." Izuku nodded, making a mental note to do some training with his friend's quirk applied to his transformations in the future. "Now if you excuse me." He moved a bit past her, making her curiously tilt her head. "I have a meal to finish and I think Bemstar's gorge can make it quick." He dashed ahead with an excited chirp.

Toga watched him go with a fond giggle before freezing in realization. "Wait! Izuku!" She dashed after him. "Make sure you don't eat the plates!" Or the table for that matter.

THE NEXT DAY-U.A. GROUNDS-1A CLASSROOM

"For this next lesson, we'll be focusing on rescue missions." Aizawa announced as he stood behind his desk. "It's one thing to be aware of what disaster is happening, but knowing how to act in those scenarios is something else entirely." He said knowingly, having seen new heroes freeze in the moment.

The students grew excited, even if the real thing can be scary, it'll be interesting to see how their quirks can be used in those scenarios.

Seeing that he had everyone's attention, Aizawa continued. "Floods, Fires, Landslides, and so on." He held out a remote and pressed a button, causing the hidden shelves in the wall to open, revealing suitcases with their costumes. "We'll be conducting these exercises in a specialized facility where three teachers, including myself, All Might, and someone else will supervise your training there."

Mineta gulped. "Sounds intense."

Hearing this, Izuku grinned encouragingly at him. "It'll be fine Mineta, besides, this is what being a hero is all about." The short teen still looked unsure but nodded.

Aizawa audibly cleared his throat. "If you're done chatting." The OFA user apologized with a sheepish expression. "The facility is rather far, so we'll be taking a bus." He began walking out of the room. "That's all, get ready." The students scrambled to grab their gear before heading to their changing rooms.

INSIDE THE BUS

"We've never done proper introductions. I'm Tsuyu Asui, but you can call me Tsuyu." Her classmates did the same to those they hadn't interacted with. "I usually say what's on my mind, so sorry if I seem blunt." She added.

Across her, Izuku chuckled. "Join the club, my family's all about blunt honesty." He then became sheepish. "The difference with me is, I'm often too blunt for my own good." Bakugou scoffed before smiling while Toga snickered.

Tsuyu croaked in amusement. "Sounds like we'll get along fine." He returned the chuckle with a nod. "Your quirk is interesting, Izuku."

"Interesting?" Kaminari repeated in an incredulous tone. "Awesome is more like it!" His sentiments were shared by some of his classmates.

Izuku waved a hand. "True, but your quirk is amazing too." He grinned knowingly. "It would've been quite 'shocking' to fight against you." Next to him, Toga huffed and lightly elbowed him with a smile.

"Nice one." Kaminari laughed as Jiro and Bakugou rolled their eyes at them.

Aoyama chortled and flipped his hair with an aura of sparkles. "Your quirk is powerful, but it lacks flamboyance!"

Izuku blinked and tilted his head. "Are you made of glitter?" The blond gaped at him while the others snickered at the blunt question. "Anyways, I'm not trying to pose for the camera." He shrugged. "I just want to help people." Most smiled at his simple but powerful reasoning while a few like Aoyama said nothing and reflected on his words.

"That's the best reason to be a hero, to be honest!" Kirishima cut in with a toothy grin. "Nothing's more manly than protecting the innocent!" He posed before wrapping an arm around Mina who giggled and cuddled close.

A few girls and Toga cooed at the display before realizing something. "When you say it like that, you're basically a heroic living shield." She pointed out.

Kirishima blinked before smiling big. "I like the sound of that!" He can already imagine himself being said shield against evil.

Izuku chuckled and patted Toga's head causing her to blush, which reddened further when she noticed the other girls giving her teasing looks. "And from what I've experienced, you're a tough barrier to crack." He grinned good-naturedly.

While holding back a wince from remembering his fight with the tall teen, Kirishima returned the grin. "Thanks, but just wait." He hardened his free hand and thumped it against his hardened chest. "I'll be cracking you eventually." He retorted in a light, challenging tone.

"I look forward to it." Izuku returned the sentiment as his eyes sharpened with an excited grin.

Mina rolled her eyes with a fond smile. "Boys." Her comment received a giggle from Toga and a pout from her boyfriend.

"Such youth." Tokoyami muttered before his quirk, Dark Shadow, emerged from his back. "I want front-row seats!" His user sighed while everyone was still impressed at the fact that his quirk was sentient. Such a thing is an extremely rare thing.

Toga's eyes sparkled at the sight. "Hi Dark Shadow!" The quirk and user were still getting used to being addressed in a friendly way. "How are you?"

"I, uhhh." He looked to his user for help, and when he received a helpless shrug in response, he sighed. "Good, I guess?" Aside from family, he had never experienced such welcoming behavior from anybody.

Toga, guessing that this was a new experience for them, simply smiled kindly before focusing on Tokoyami. "I never did ask, what's it like having a sentient quirk?"

The avian hero paused before speaking. "It's…not lonely." While strange, it's refreshing to have people outside of the family interested in his quirk. "Though admittedly annoying sometimes." He ignored the indignant huff from his quirk. "It provides some comfort knowing that I would always have someone with me." He sent a small smile to his quirk. "Especially at my darkest."

Dark Shadow was taken aback before smiling widely at him. "Thanks boss!" He wrapped an arm around his user. "I'm grateful to you too!" It's amusing how cheerful and bright he is despite having a stoic user.

"Don't push it." Tokoyami removed his arm but smiled a little as the quirk pouted and retreated into him, causing chuckles amongst his classmates.

Toga giggled warmly. "Sounds nice." She tapped her chin. "Hmmm, I wonder how I would handle it?" She mused aloud. "Then again, I could always borrow some blood from him in the future." It would certainly be a unique training session.

Izuku paused, imagining all his forms gaining sentience before shivering at the scenario. "I don't envy you." He admitted. "I'd have no idea what to do or feel if all my transformations turned out to be alive." His classmates also imagined themselves as having a sentient quirk. Some thought it would be cool while others winced thinking about the complications that came with it, namely, the lack of privacy.

Tsuyu croaked in thought before remembering something. "Almost forgot." She looked at Izuku. "Midoriya." He hummed as he faced her. "Are you by any chance related to Sano Midoriya?"

"The original wielder of Bemstar?" Understandably, Izuku was incredibly shocked. "How do you know that name?" On both of his sides, Bakugou and Toga shared his surprise.

The frog teen understood his reaction and calmly explained. "My grandmother mentioned that name a long time ago when she was telling us stories that one time." She shrugged. "Could be just a coincidence, but I wanted to check if you were related." It wouldn't be the first time someone shared a name.

Izuku blinked, never did he think he'd ever hear of others knowing of his family. "Then again, it would make sense. My folks saved a ton of lives, why wouldn't they spread the word down the line?"

Realizing that he hadn't said anything, Izuku cleared his throat. "Yeah, she's part of our family." Well, he did say when he was a kid that he planned on spreading the awareness about his family, might as well start small now.

Tsuyu smiled at the revelation. "I thought that would be the case." She then looked nostalgic. "My grandmother mentioned being saved by her during a villain attack." She frowned a little. "Sadly, she only mentioned the story a handful of times because she had Alzheimer's." Despite her sadness, she smiled a little. "But each time she did, she was always grateful, even in her last days."

Wordlessly, Izuku reached forward and placed a hand on her knee. "My condolences, she sounded like a wonderful person." His words helped raise her spirits enough to smile at him which was helped by the others expressing the same. "I'm guessing seeing my transformations reminded you of her tales?" He kindly asked as he removed his hand.

Tsuyu hummed with a nod as she recomposed herself. "If it wasn't for your grandmother, I wouldn't have had the pleasure of meeting mine." She bowed. "On behalf of my family, thank you." She said earnestly.

"C-Come on, there's no need for that." Izuku quickly gestured for her to raise her head with bashfulness on his features. "She just did what any hero would do." She looked up to his grin. "And now, it's my turn." She smiled and nodded.

Suddenly, Ida's expression lit up in realization. "Ah, so that's what you meant when you said that you come from a family of heroes." A proud nod in response. "It appears you and I have something in common to bond over." His friend chuckled and agreed.

Kirishima whistled. "Wow, you too?" He grinned. "Man, it must be awesome having heroic folks." He chuckled. "Bet they all had some crazy stories to tell."

Bakugou and Toga immediately tensed when Izuku's demeanor deflated slightly while his classmates became confused by his reaction. "What's wrong?" Toru asked as others gave him questioning looks.

When Izuku didn't respond and looked down with an unreadable expression, Bakugou spoke up. "Back off! If he doesn't want to answer then let it be!" Toga reached forward and gently held the tall teen's hand in concern.

As their classmates were taken aback by the blond's outburst, Izuku contemplated. Should he tell them? Reveal his family's tragic circumstances? Which would no doubt also lead to them discovering the villains in their family as well.

He could avoid the latter subject altogether, but the truth will come out eventually whether he liked it or not. But all the mental and emotional practice could never have prepared him for the actual thing.

Telling Toga and Bakugou had been unsurprisingly easy since they had known each other since childhood. But he hadn't known his classmates long enough to predict what their reactions would be.

Would they be disgusted? Angered? Or perhaps even fearful and untrusting? These questions plagued the young hero's mind as he envisioned those scenarios.

On the other hand, they could be open-minded enough to accept it. Nezu, All Might and the other pros are great examples of this. If they had a problem with it, he would have noticed by now.

And besides, who better to start his goal to spread awareness of his family than with the people he'll train with?

With this, he sighed before placing a hand on Bakugou's shoulder, grabbing the latter's attention. "It's fine, it was bound to come up eventually." He pointed out with a resigned grin which did little to ease his friend.

"Are you sure?" Toga cut in with a look of uncertainty.

Izuku took a moment to consider things one more time before sighing to smile at her. "I'm sure." She searched his face for any hesitation before nodding as she squeezed his hand in support.

After returning the gesture, he sighed before looking at his classmates. "Sorry, it's just a…messy subject for me." As their confusion grew, he explained. "I haven't heard any stories from them, because I never met any of them." His friends looked away with frowns, in Bakugou's case, a frustrated grimace.

All of them were taken aback by this. "W-What do you mean by that?" For some reason, something was telling Kaminari that he wouldn't like the answer.

His instincts were proven right when Izuku sighed before looking at him, his grim expression freezing them. "Most of them died or were gravely injured in the line of duty." To this day, it was still an unfair and heavy pill to swallow that left a bitter taste.

In an instant, the atmosphere turned cold as most of them paled or were simply stunned. "A-All of them!?" Ida stammered in horror while Ochako covered her mouth as everyone exclaimed their shock. They knew the life of a hero was dangerous, but to hear that a large family had been wiped out didn't seem possible!

"For a long time…" Izuku decided to give them a brief explanation of his family. "My family's quirk has been passed on from generation to generation." He looked at his free hand. "Unlocking newer transformations with each user as well as new heroes." He clenched his hand with a neutral look. "And a few villains." He couldn't help but find similarities between his family's quirk and OFA.

While everyone was shocked by this, Izuku raised a hand. "You can think less of me because of this, but know that few of them chose that path for selfish reasons while the rest had no choice in the matter." His expression steeled. "Villain or not, they're my family, and I'll always love them and regain their honor by wielding their transformations as a hero." His words and resolve silenced them as they contemplated the revelation.

Izuku took the time to eye their expressions. Some were hard to read while others were still shocked, probably from the massive info he'd just dropped on them.

His gaze landed on Tsuyu who looked like she was trying hard to figure something out. "I know what you're thinking." His words made her look at him. "Probably along the lines of: 'If that's the case, how come I didn't find anything about it?'."

She was surprised but nodded a little. "To answer your question, there were long intervals between each death, making it difficult to pinpoint any sources since they were buried by decades of news." He sighed as he looked down. "Not only that, both heroes and villains were killed off before they could reach their potential, so they weren't able to leave much of a footprint in history."

A new wave of fear and horror spread throughout his classmates from the implications, apart from Toga and Bakugou who were simply somber. "No way…" Mina was aghast. "Are there any leads?" Maybe the police picked up a trail of sorts?

But to their dismay, Izuku shook his head while his friends became downcast. "The only thing noted were similarities in the victims' demise, but apart from that, no suspects and leads." He grimaced. "Not even our research efforts were enough to uncover anything." He glared outside the window as Bakugou scowled while Toga became downcast. "I'm able to learn about my family and a few tricks for my arsenal, but the fact remains, the one responsible was never found." The atmosphere turned tense as some of his classmates looked out the windows as if expecting an unknown threat to strike now.

Noticing the tense atmosphere, Izuku sighed and decided to get to the point. "The reason I'm telling you this is because of my goal to spread awareness of my family's deeds, to ensure that their sacrifices wouldn't be lost in time." He grinned a little. "Plus, it's good practice if I happen to do it again." He shook his head with a shrug. "Not only that, I don't like keeping secrets, I prefer being honest." Excluding the secret of OFA's existence and being All Might's chosen successor of course.

They said nothing with some even exchanging glances which didn't deter him. "Principal Nezu knows." That caused some of them to be surprised. "The guy does background checks on everyone; it shouldn't be surprising." His point silenced them. "Point is, the teachers know." Some glanced at Aizawa who appeared to be sleeping in his sleeping bag while in a sitting position.

Izuku then sighed as he released Toga's hand. "With that said, if any of you don't trust me anymore or have a problem after knowing of the villains in my family, fine." His expression hardened. "Just do me a favor and don't treat my friends or my parents harshly." He crossed his arms and leaned back on his seat. "Throw it all on me, not them." He warned with resolve.

Bakugou was displeased and was about to speak up but a stern side-eye from the tall teen forced him to stop in frustration but remained firm towards their classmates. "Damn." When it came to self-sacrifice, there was hardly anything to change his friend's mind.

Toga was alarmed but knew he wouldn't budge on the matter so she opted to hug him while burying her face on his arm, praying that things turn out well.

Izuku had no intention of moving her and was internally grateful to her and Bakugou for their support and merely closed his eyes. Waiting for the inevitable judgment or negative comments.

A tense silence followed as both sides waited for someone to say or do anything. Izuku and his friends remained silent but ready for anything. Some of their classmates looked unsure as to how to proceed while the others were silent in thought.

After a few moments, the silence was broken by Kirishima who sighed with guilt. "Midoriya…I…" Izuku opened his eyes to look at him. "I'm so, so, sorry that happened to your family." He grimaced before looking down in frustration. "I feel like a piece of shit for bringing it up." He could feel Mina laying a comforting hand on his shoulder but he ignored it.

Seeing this, Izuku's features softened a little. "You didn't know…"

"Doesn't make it right." The red-haired teen sternly cut in and gripped his knees in anger. "...fuck." Why did it have to happen to a good guy like him!? And from what he heard from Bakugou and Toga, his parents are just as pure-hearted.

So, why them!?

"And you're wrong Midoriya." Momo softly spoke. "While shocking, I doubt any of us here think any less of you." Her point was proven when a few of their classmates murmured their agreement. They had seen enough to know that becoming a villain was the furthest thing he'd want.

Izuku's firm demeanor was replaced with shock. "Really?" He studied his classmates' faces and found no trace of hatred or doubt. "You're fine with me being related to villains?" His disbelief was shared by Toga and Bakugou who stared at them.

Tokoyami hummed with a solemn expression. "Blood does not dictate someone's innocence, only their actions." Dark Shadow emerged from his back, an aura of anger surrounding him. "I hope whoever is responsible for everything gets what's coming to them!" His user among others shared his sentiments.

Jiro nodded. "It's honestly kind of metal being related to villains but still choosing to be a hero." She formed an unsure smile. "Sorry if it comes off as insensitive, but it adds a certain flavor to your family." She grimaced with guilt. "Tragedies aside."

"You're fine." Izuku's words helped calm her. "But…" He gave his classmates confused looks. "Are you all seriously ok with this?" Surely someone had a problem with it, not that he's complaining, it just feels too easy.

Mineta cleared his throat before hesitantly speaking. "W-Well, it's a little scary to think about." He then formed what he hoped was a reassuring smile. "But I've seen enough to know that you're a good guy Midoriya."

"Thanks." Izuku sent him a reassuring smile. "Give me time, I'll make it so that you won't be nervous around me." The short teen nodded and apologized for any offense.

To this, the OFA user waved a hand. "It's fine, in a weird way, your reaction was one of many that I expected." His words didn't help with Mineta's guilt but nodded in understanding.

"Still, it was brave of you to tell us. And why all three of you were hesitant." Ida chimed in before bowing his head. "It honors me to know that you have faith in us." He lifted his head to smile at him. "I swear to never take such trust for granted!" Most of his classmates said the same while others wordlessly agreed with him.

Ochako nodded, still recovering from the tragedies that occurred to her friend's family before her curiosity took over. "Um, I hope you don't mind, but may I ask you something?" The tall teen gestured for her to continue. "You mentioned that very few of your family members chose to be villains for malicious reasons." Realization dawned on Izuku as he knew where this was going. "What about the others?" She hoped she didn't sound like she was prying.

Thankfully Izuku wasn't bothered and understood the curiosity. "It wasn't their choice to make." He shook his head while letting out a sad sigh. "They were put in varying situations that pushed them to villainy." He began to list with his fingers. "Financial problems, sick family members, bad experiences, the list goes on." He then smiled a little, albeit sad. "Thankfully they were able to come back to their senses, with some of them even receiving help from the heroes." His smile died as he looked down. "But…" He trailed off.

Seeing this, Bakugou rubbed the back of his head with a heavy sigh. "They were either killed before they could do good or inflicted severe injuries that shortened their life like the other heroic members." He crossed his arms with a grim expression. "From what we've gathered, very few managed to die of old age without complications." Toga held Izuku's hand in comfort, drawing a thankful smile from him.

Ojiro grimaced. "Shit." His classmates were also heartbroken or outraged by the information. "That's so messed up." He looked out the window to the sky in silent prayer.

The atmosphere immediately turned somber after that, but at the same time, their respect for the Kaiju user grew. If they were in his position, a few of them might have hesitated to become a hero out of fear.

And yet here was Midoriya, pursuing the heroic path regardless of the danger of meeting the same fate.

As the somber silence continued, an idea came to Tsuyu so she decided to step in with gentle hesitation. "Izuku." She made an effort to maintain her resolve upon seeing his sadness. "I…" She paused to debate with herself for a moment. "Can you…tell us about one of them?" She carefully asked.

The tall teen said nothing, so she explained. "Since your goal is to spread awareness of your family's sacrifices and to honor them." She gestured to her classmates. "I thought it would be a good idea for you to start with us, that way, we'll carry their names and possibly share their stories in the future." When he said nothing and looked down, she continued. "Not only that, we could also learn from their experiences to improve ourselves." She carefully added, hoping that it didn't sound like she only wanted to hear the information for personal gain.

When Izuku didn't reply as Toga and Bakugou glanced at each other with unsure expressions, Tsuyu looked down and rubbed her hands as nervousness emerged. "I'm sorry if I sound insensitive, I just thought that…" She trailed off before sighing in guilt. "Forget what I said, it was-"

"Actually, it's a good idea."

She snapped up in shock to see him wearing a smile that was shared by Bakugou and Toga. "It's a good way to ensure my family will be remembered and a way to learn about heroics." He mused out loud as he considered the possibilities. "It could give you guys valuable insight into heroics."

"An excellent point Midoriya and a wonderful idea Asui!" Ida cut in with his usual energy, earning smiles from the two. "What better way to honor the fallen than learning from them?" He turned to his friend with a kind smile. "I'm certain that they would be more than willing to share their experience for the future generations."

Izuku nodded with a chuckle, warmed by their willingness and acceptance. "They would." He then hummed in thought before snapping his fingers. "And I know just the one to start with." He glanced at Toga, who was happily hugging his arm, with a teasing grin. "Mind giving me some room?"

A deep blush instantly erupted from the blond. "S-Sorry!" She stammered while removing herself from him as if she had been burned. "G-Go ahead!" She squeaked and looked away from him in embarrassed mortification as she held her cheeks. The sight caused the girls to coo while the boys shook their heads in amusement, the earlier heavy atmosphere lifting from the moment.

Izuku chuckled fondly before eyeing the ceiling before nodding. "Looks high enough." He then grinned at his friends. "You might want to cover your eyes unless you want to be flash-banged." His classmates immediately looked away or closed their eyes while Bakugou wordlessly made room for him too.

After confirming that everyone did as instructed, Izuku's form flashed a bright green before dying out to reveal Gudon. "Ok, you can look now." He advised while repositioning his tail so that he could sit properly.

As each of his classmates stared at his form in awe, Ochako's face lit up in recognition. "I remember that one!" Her reaction garnered curious looks from those who weren't familiar. "That's the one that you and Toga used during the Sludge villain incident!" This caused some of their classmates to make a mental note to research the incident.

"Damn right it is!" Kirishima added with an amazed grin. "It's just as badass in person as it was on TV!" A memory of Sadola towering over him flashed in his mind, sending a chill up his spine. "Not that I'm saying that the others aren't scary on their own." He rubbed his arm with an awkward chuckle while Mina patted his back with a teasing grin.

Mineta dumbly nodded, intimidated and awed by the transformation. "Wow…" His eyes drifted to the whip arms. "Must be tough having no hands to use."

"It was at first." Izuku admitted with a chuckle as he raised his right whip. "The first time I turned into this, I couldn't even grab a rock on the ground." He then flexed the whip and extended it until it was within arm's reach of Momo who gently grabbed it in fascination. "But after a while, I eventually figured out that it can still act as arms." He demonstrated by gently wrapping it on the creation user's wrist, amazing her with his control.

Mezo nodded in approval. "Kind of like how my quirk worked the first time I trained with it." He made an extra arm from his right shoulder. "I may have been able to duplicate limbs with no problem, but to control said limb took time." He demonstrated by making a peace sign with the extra hand. "Kind of like grabbing a controller to move your character in a game."

"Sounds about right." Izuku agreed as he released Momo's hand and returned his whip to its original length. "But anyways…" He looked out the window. "I think we still have time to learn about this transformation's original wielder, so I suggest we get comfortable." His classmates did just that.

After noting that everyone, including Todoroki surprisingly who merely eyed him with his usual expression, was listening he cleared his throat. "The transformation's name is Gudon, the original wielder was Mase Midoriya." He paused. "From what I found, in his younger days, his heroic side emerged after saving a girl his age from being hit by a reckless driver with his whip arms, despite not having proper control of the limbs." His classmates expressed amazement at such bravery from a young age.

"Ever since that day, Mase dedicated his life to becoming a great hero." Izuku shrugged. "Naturally he faced discrimination due to his monstrous form, but that's only because my family had been forgotten, making our Kaiju quirk seem unheard of." Those among his classmates with mutant-type quirks winced in sympathy, having an idea of what he went through. "It also didn't help that it was mostly villains who wielded monster-like quirks, making it difficult for him to socialize with some people."

Tokoyami pursed his beak with a narrow look. "Fools." His comment got their attention. "If they had just taken the time to understand his intentions, they would have helped forge a powerful guardian." His sentiment was shared with his classmates.

"Agreed, but life isn't that simple I'm afraid." Izuku's knowing point caused Tokoyami to grimace but nod in agreement. "Despite that, he endured, determinedly pursuing his dream to become a hero, discrimination be damned. Earning a name for himself in his community." His classmates, especially the ones with mutant quirks, felt their respect for the man grow.

They were then surprised when Izuku looked down in sadness. "But, after coming back from an errand one day, tragedy struck." He let out a heavy sigh. "His home had been burned down, along with his parents." He then looked at them with a grave look that Toga and Bakugou mirrored. "By a hero."

In an instant, chaos ensued as his classmates reeled in shock, horror, and disbelief. "WHAT THE HELL!?" Sato yelled. "How did that happen!?" Did the hero turn into a villain or something!?

"By accident." Izuku's grim answer stunned them. "At the time, a powerful madman with a stone-based quirk terrorized the city Mase lived in." He raised a hand just as a few of his classmates were about to speak. "It was a time when All Might wasn't around, so there weren't many heroes strong enough to match him."

The information silenced them in sadness before he continued. "The villain, Ore, evaded capture due to overwhelming power and surprising agility underground." He sighed. "Things went on like that for a long time until one day, a new heroine named Cinder made herself known." His expression hardened. "After earning her place amongst the Top 10 Heroes, she boldly proclaimed to take down Ore as her first act of being Number 7." He shook his head in disapproval. "The media and the civilians loved it, but to Ore, it was an insult to his pride." None liked the sound of that.

"The bastard took it as if she wasn't taking him seriously." Bakugou gruffly cut in as he crossed his arms and leaned back in his seat. "On the next day, he rampaged throughout the city, to remind them how much of a threat he was."

Ojiro and Kirishima cursed at that while Izuku hummed in confirmation. "Cinder wasted no time and made a beeline for the madman after being publicly challenged to face him." His frown deepened. "From what media we've seen, she had greatly underestimated the villain's defenses. To the point where he'd literally walk through her flames more than once." He looked down. "But unlike him, the city and people suffered from their fight." Most of them paled as they imagined the chaos.

"Because of this, she tried to reason with him, but his mad bloodlust won." He emitted an angered growl. "With reasoning out the window, combined with the immense damage their fight was causing she had no choice but to use lethal force." While all of them knew that heroes are legally allowed to kill if circumstances left no other option, it was still jarring to hear. "The fight intensified, but Cinder was aware enough to lead their fight away from the city."

Toga let out a resigned sigh. "But Ore caught on to what she was doing and became more determined to cause as much destruction as possible as revenge for being tricked." Her classmates grimaced. "When she was distracted, Ore blindsided her and was moving in for the kill." Most braced themselves, did her death cause the demise of Mase's parents? "At the last moment, Cinder avoided death and in an act of desperation, unleashed her quirk's maximum destructive power and went supernova." She looked down in sadness.

Momo's eyes widened in horror. "But she's still-"

"Within the city bounds." Izuku grimly confirmed, making everyone aghast, even Todoroki's stoic expression broke into shock. "The explosion that followed could be heard for miles…" He trailed off in sadness.

Ida became enraged. "What a foolish thing to do!" He rebuked. "Did she not realize the consequences of such a maneuver!?" How could someone so reckless become a top hero!?

"Like I said, desperate." Izuku evenly pointed out while looking downcast. "And while she succeeded and turned Ore into ash, it was short-lived when she immediately noticed that multiple homes had caught on fire." He closed his eyes in sadness. "She could have absorbed the flames, but passed out before she could do anything." He let out a heavy sigh. "Leaving the other heroes and rescue teams to deal with the surrounding blaze on their own."

A somber silence followed as everyone had an idea of what the result was based on the information given to them. While there was no way for them to change the outcome, as heroes, they can't help but feel frustrated for not being there to help.

"Despite the losses, thanks to the combined efforts of the heroes, rescue crews, and volunteers, they were able to prevent the flames from getting worse." Izuku's words helped lift the mood a little. "As for Cinder, after having her hero license revoked, was sent to trial for what she had done and pleaded guilty for what happened." While they were glad that she didn't resist, they were still upset at her. "After that, her fate was mostly rumors. Some say she chose to remain in prison for the rest of her life while others say that she died in solitude or was executed for her crimes." He shrugged. "No idea what's true, but one thing's for certain, she wasn't heard from again."

While glad that some justice was served to the victims, they were still saddened that the tragedy happened. "And what happened to Mase?" Mina gently asked, though had a feeling where this story was leading.

To this, Izuku sighed again. "Overcome with grief, Mase had lost the spark to become a hero and instead blamed the heroic system for allowing such a reckless person to become a hero." Most grimaced but understood his anger. "A month later, news quickly spread of a rampant villain terrorizing the city." He growled. "The ruin he had caused in a few months had completely destroyed whatever good image he had built up and for the longest time, no one believed in him." He lowered his head in sadness before smiling at them. "Except for one."

At this, everyone looked at the three who smiled. "Remember when I said that Mase saved a girl his age in his early days?" Toga's question was met with nods. "Well, Orio grew up to be a powerful hero and had managed to take over Cinder's spot as Number 7." She giggled at everyone's stunned faces. "I know right? But anyway, she was the only one who never lost faith in him. Because unlike everyone else, she noticed one major detail every time Mase caused chaos." Her smile widened. "He never attacked a single civilian." Izuku and Bakugou nodded in confirmation.

Hope emerged among their classmates. "After all that…" Kaminari whispered in awe. "He still believes in his morals." He grinned at the tall teen. "Geez, your family's really something."

"You know it." Izuku returned the grin before continuing. "Every time Mase attacked, Orio would always be the first to respond. Trying to reason with him each time, to the point where he'd flee the battle when she's present."

Sato chuckled. "She's determined, I'll give her that." To discourage attackers just by your presence is no small feat. "Out of curiosity, what's her quirk?"

Bakugou chortled with a smirk, gaining everyone's attention. "She can control the air."

"Well shit." Sero whistled while everyone else gaped. "No wonder she's the first responder, she could practically follow him everywhere."

Toga giggled. "Yep." She then waved a hand. "It took two years of pursuit and arguments. But eventually, Mase would prove to the world that he still had the heart of a hero." Everyone leaned in, fully invested.

"During one of her night patrols, three villains had decided to set aside their differences and ambush her together." Bakugou grumbled while everyone else was aghast. "Powerful quirk or not, all it takes is timing and skill to be taken down." He pointed it out seriously, making them consider his point. "Anyways, they managed to get a drop on her." He then wore a shit-eating grin. "But guess who showed up before things could get bad for her." None answered, but all smiled.

Izuku laughed. "Turns out, Mase was out at that time doing some thinking. When he saw what was happening, he didn't even hesitate and beat them for the authorities to arrest." He leaned back in his seat in contentment. "Before he could slip away, Orio took the chance and once again tried to convince him to let her help him." He grinned. "He was hesitant, but he agreed." His classmates made sounds of approval.

"It was a lot of hard work." Toga added. "But eventually, the public began to see him in a new light and trusted him again after hearing about the reason as to why he became a villain." She then let out a happy sigh. "Years later, Mase and Orio got married."

Mina squealed. "It's like a love story!" It was also very fitting, Mase was mostly on the ground while Orio was in the air. "Air and Earth, a match made in heaven!" Her remark was met with amused chuckles from some of her classmates while Kirishima happily agreed and wrapped an arm around her.

Ida smiled. "Life truly works in mysterious ways." He mused. "If he hadn't saved her that day, it would have taken him longer to return to the side of good." He then frowned. "Or maybe not at all."

"You're probably righter than you think." Izuku agreed. "Now where was I? Oh yeah, they had two children who wanted to be heroes like them." He then frowned. "The happiness didn't last however as many years later, Mase had disappeared." His classmates became horrified, remembering the things said to them earlier. "They found him in a heavily battle-damaged side of the forest, dead and armless…" He trailed off with an angered growl while his eyes glowed.

Tokoyami closed his eyes and looked down in sorrow while everyone else was sickened. "He…fought well." He glanced at the sky. "Rest well, noble warrior. Know that your story will live on." Perhaps the elders in his family have some stories about the Midoriyas? He'd have to ask later.

Izuku rumbled in agreement before turning back to normal. "His death drove his children to become great heroes in honor of their father while supporting their mother who retired after the funeral." He took a moment to regain his composure. "Kind of like what I'm doing." He stared at his hand. "For too long my family has been cursed with tragedy and lost through time." He clenched his hand. "I want to break that curse and honor their sacrifices." He looked at them in determination. "To ensure that they wouldn't be forgotten, villain or not."

"And you won't do it alone." Bakugou chimed in with resolve. "If anyone has a problem with it…" He smacked his fist against his palm with a feral look. "I'll kick their ass!" How could he call himself a warrior if he allowed his second family to be hurt!?

Toga giggled. "Don't forget about me. No one messes with the family!" She cheered with a sharp grin that drew a warm chuckle out of him, making her flush.

Meanwhile, their classmates were amazed by Izuku's goal and loyalty to his friends. "As will I." Ida's words shocked them. "While I cannot speak for the rest, know that you will have my support."

"Me too!" Ochako cheered with a smile.

Kirishima laughed as he thumped his chest. "I wouldn't call myself a man if I let narrow views get the better of me!" He grinned. "Especially after we bonded in battle!" Mina agreed and said that she didn't deserve to be a friend or hero if she didn't support them.

Tsuyu croaked in agreement. "Kero, action speaks louder than words. As far as I'm concerned, your family deserves to be remembered." Toru and Ojiro voiced similar thoughts

"A few bad apples won't spoil the whole tree." Sato chimed in with a kind smile. "I've got your back Midoriya." His expression lit up. "And hey, maybe I can ask my old folks if they had any encounters with your family."

Tokoyami made a sound of approval. "As will I, perhaps one of my elders knows of your family." Dark Shadow emerged from his back. "The Darkness will be your ally, friend!" He crossed his arms with a pleased look. "Always wanted to say that." His user sighed but smiled a little.

Koda tapped Jiro's shoulder to get her attention and did hand signs. "I agree, the selfish choices of a few, don't mean that your entire family is bad." She smiled while Koda offered a thumbs up with a meek smile.

One by one his classmates expressed their support for him and his family. And would come to their defense if needed. Toga and Bakugou, after being stunned by the overwhelming support, glanced at each other before focusing on Izuku who was speechless from it all.

After a moment, warmth went through Izuku as he regained his focus. "You guys…" His eyes glistened as he grinned. "Thank you!" He covered his eyes with his arm and laughed in relief.

With happy tears, Toga smiled brightly and embraced the OFA user while Bakugou huffed in amusement. "Seriously, how can you be so damn soft?" He wrapped an arm around his friend and patted his shoulder. "Pull yourself together, you're making us look bad." He chided jokingly with a smirk.

"Sorry." Izuku sniffed and wiped his eyes to smile crookedly at him. "I'm just so grateful." Bakugou snorted while Toga giggled. Meanwhile, the scene cemented their classmates' belief in him.

When things calmed down, Izuku profusely apologized for making a scene but was waved off before being asked to share another story of a family member, which he happily obliged since they were caught in traffic.

But unbeknownst to them, Aizawa wasn't asleep and had been mulling over what he had heard.

At first, he was going to use the chance to get some extra sleep. But when the topic shifted to Izuku's family, all sleep left him in an instant as he intently listened to the conversation.

He isn't ashamed to admit that he had nearly stepped in a few times when things grew tense or too quiet for his liking. He especially didn't like how Izuku was willing to take all of their criticism and harshness if it meant protecting his loved ones.

Not that he'd expect any less from him.

But to his pleasant surprise, they had taken the information well and had even felt guilty for bringing it up. Of course, he shared the tall teen's initial doubt at their reactions. After all, it couldn't be that easy, he had years of experience of being judged due to his "boring quirk" as those idiots in his school days liked to point out.

Thankfully Hizashi and Midnight were there to kick their asses with him.

But once again, this batch of students surprised him by not only reaffirming their belief in Izuku but to also offering their support and even helping him find more information from their family if possible.

Open-minded people like them are rare in this day and age, especially with how cruel most villains can be, which made their presence and acceptance a blessing by itself.

With a small smile, Aizawa relaxed in his seat. "This batch is truly something." He closed his eyes and idly listened to Izuku sharing the story of Sano Midoriya with Tsuyu so that she could share it with her siblings.

USJ GROUNDS-ENTRANCE

"This place is huge!" Kaminari exclaimed as they gaped at the large facility. "It might even be larger than U.A.!" He mused out loud.

Izuku hummed distractedly while scanning the different locations. "I guess those are the disaster simulation areas." He grinned at the possibilities he'd learn. "This'll be fun." Toga cheered in agreement while Bakugou grunted.

Ochako was awed at the scale of the place before gasping, catching everyone's attention. "It's her!" She hopped in place as she pointed ahead. "I can't believe it!"

Following her finger, they saw the Space Hero: Thirteen, making her way towards them. "Figures you'd be a fan of her round face." Bakugou's amused remark earned a blank look from Ochako and everyone else.

"You need to work on your nicknames." Izuku's comment earned an annoyed look from the blond. "You have to admit, some of them are kind of rude." His words were met with mutters of agreement from some of his classmates.

Bakugou rolled his eyes. "They'll get used to it." He crossed his arms with a stubborn buff. "Besides, I'm not flat-out calling anyone ugly." It's not like his nicknames do actual harm; he just says it how he sees it. Was that so bad?

"Uh, bro?" Kirishima spoke with an unsure tone. "You call me 'shitty hair', doesn't that, like, count as calling me ugly?" Some of them wanted to say yes but didn't want to risk the blond's wrath.

Said blond waved a hand. "Pfft, I doubt it. There are way worse things I could have called you." None doubted that he could. "Besides, you don't seem all that bothered by it." He calmly pointed out.

Well, he had him there. "True." Kirishima conceded. "But that's only because I've been called worse things before." He sent a thankful smile towards Mina who held his hand after he said that, while she gave him a sweet smile in return.

Bakugou eyed the two before smirking. "Based on what I'm seeing, I'm guessing none of those insults got through your defense." His tone was knowing and respectful.

To this, Kirishima grinned. "Not even a little." Mina giggled and leaned against him.

Aizawa audibly cleared his throat. "Enough chatter, we're about to start." His words immediately silenced them as he made his way to Thirteen. "Where's All Might?"

Thirteen gave him an odd look. "Nezu didn't tell you?" The underground hero raised an eyebrow from her tone. "All Might only had three hours of sleep, so Nezu advised him to sit this one out." She held up three fingers for emphasis with a certain look.

Realization dawned on Aizawa but he quickly hid it. "That muscled idiot." He grumbled with a sigh. "Can't be helped then, we'll just have to handle things on our own." The heroine was thankful for his perceptiveness and nodded in agreement.

While most of the class was bummed out by this, Izuku immediately understood. "He reached his time limit for the day." His mentor must have been doing heroics on his way to school. "No rest for the weary." Not that he was any different, he'd probably do the same thing.

"Sorry, but Nezu was adamant that All Might get some proper rest." Thirteen chimed in with sympathy, knowing how much they were looking forward to having him here. "But don't worry, Aizawa and I can be just as exciting." The man grunted but didn't say more to not further dampen the mood.

With that, the students quieted in attention as Thirteen and Aizawa stood in front of the class. "I can see that a few of you know me, but for those who don't…" She bowed a little. "I'm Thirteen, the space-themed hero." She raised her head. "It's nice to meet you all!" While she had no problem sharing her real name like some heroes nowadays, she still preferred having some privacy.

After the students returned the greeting, Thirteen continued. "My quirk is named: Black Hole. Anything sucked in will turn into dust, perfect for clearing debris for rescue operations." The students were awed, a power like that could save countless people.

Having an idea of what they were thinking, she shook her head. "Don't be mistaken, while powerful, it comes with a ton of drawbacks." And while she wore a helmet, they could tell she became serious. "As well as countless consequences if used incorrectly." Something in her tone made them tense.

Seeing this, Thirteen sighed. "Quirks are useful, no doubt about that. But there's also the unspoken responsibilities that come with it." Her eyes scanned the group with knowing eyes. "I'm sure all of you are aware of the dangers your quirks possess if used without care." Few shifted uncomfortably while the others became serious.

"My quirk could easily kill someone if I'm not careful." Her tone was neutral and factual. "I'm thankful that it never happened, but there's still that fear of it happening, especially if it's an accident or worse…." Her expression turned grave. "On the innocent."

Most of the students felt a chill from that, remembering the tragedy that happened to Mase's parents. The others with more powerful quirks became serious, fully aware of the damage they could do. Izuku especially, since he had nearly taken a life when he was a child.

Noticing that she had their undivided attention, Thirteen gestured to the facilities. "That's why we're here today, not only to find use for your quirks in rescue scenarios but to also learn how to control them better." Her eyes flickered to Izuku, Bakugou, and Toga for a moment. "While some of you may have experience, it's still advised to take this training seriously." The students voiced their agreement, no point in getting complacent after all.

Aizawa stepped forward. "The scenario for the day is a Landslide." He eyed the class. "I'll be dividing the class into two groups; one will be the trapped civilians while the other will be the rescue team." The students began to discuss with each other with excitement. "We'll switch the teams after the first trial." He added.

As Ida and Momo went to help with the assignments, Izuku pondered the transformations he could use for that scenario. He could use Telesdon's underground specialty or maybe Antlar's magnetic abilities. Bemstar could even be helpful in bringing the injured to the evac zone.

Suddenly, Izuku tensed as he felt a sudden pressure in the air. "?" He looked around in confusion and alarm. "What's this feeling?" Everything seemed fine and everyone was just discussing stuff.

Aizawa looked bored but attentive while Thirteen was watching the students coordinate with a proud look, he thinks, hard to tell with her helmet. He idly sniffed the air, nothing but the scent of his classmates and nearby water.

The ride here was uneventful and there hadn't been any reports of villain attacks today. Not only that, they're in a pretty secure place.

So, why?

Noticing his confusion, Toga got close to him in concern, as did Bakugou. "Are you alright?"

Izuku paused before sighing. "No." He admitted as he rubbed his arm. "There's this…shift in the air if that makes sense." They gave him curious looks. "Everything looks normal, but…" He shrugged helplessly. "Something doesn't feel right."

Bakugou's eyes narrowed in suspicion as he looked around while Toga was taken aback. "But how can that be?"

"I don't know." Izuku sighed, maybe he was just being paranoid. "Sorry, I must look crazy right now." He rubbed the back of his head.

"Not as crazy as you think."

Snapping at Bakugou in surprise, they saw him pointing ahead with a hardened scowl. Following his finger, they saw a small area of distortion in the middle of the main plaza before purple mist began to appear.

Izuku narrowed his eyes on it before they widened in alarm. "We've got trouble!" Bakugou and Toga went to his sides, ready for a fight while everyone else was shocked by his yell.

Aizawa followed their gaze and became alarmed. "Huddle together!" He ordered before running to stand in front of the three. "Thirteen, protect the students!" The heroine nodded and guided the students to group up.

But Izuku and his friends didn't move, remaining steadfast as they watched the mist form into a portal before a large number of villains marched out of it. "Is that why there weren't any villain attacks today?" He idly wondered.

After a few more villains exited, a man with a hand mask slowly emerged from the portal. Sporting pale blue hair and a mostly black outfit that was covered by severed hands. And despite the distance, they could feel the intense bloodlust emanating from him.

But all paled in comparison to the hulking humanoid beast that followed him. He sported dark blue skin, shorts, knee guards, and an All Might like size. But the features that stood out more were his exposed brain and his beak filled with sharp teeth.

As the pair exited, a few more villains exited before the misty portal shifted into another villain who had bright yellow eyes and a body of dark purple smoke. He also wore a fancy bartender outfit.

"Is everyone here?" The man covered with hands asked in a bored tone.

The portal villain was silent for a moment before nodding. "Yes, master Tomura Shigaraki."

The hand-covered villain, now identified as Tomura, made a pleased sound. "Excellent Kurogiri, the infiltration was a success. Now…" His eyes hardened as he looked around. "Where is he?" His gaze shifted with hate. "Where's All Might?" He questioned with anger while Kurogiri did the same and looked around in alert.

Up on the stairs, Aizawa, Izuku, and his friends watched in tense anticipation. "W-What do they want?" Toga stammered, still intimidated by the large creature's presence.

"Does it matter?" Bakugou cracked his knuckles, All Might would never back down, even if the villain was huge. "Let's crush them." He took a step forward.

Only to be held back by a firm hand on his shoulder. "Don't be hasty." Izuku sternly cut in. "A head-on fight is suicidal; we need a plan." The blond reluctantly calmed down from his reasoning.

But Aizawa wasn't having any of it. "None of you will be doing anything." His stern voice silenced them. "You're not ready for this stage yet." He snapped at his fellow pro. "Thirteen, start the evacuation and try to call for help!" The heroine nodded and began guiding the class to the entrance. "As for the three of you." He wore his goggles and glared down at the villains. "Run with them."

While Toga was taken aback and Bakugou outraged, Izuku hastily spoke. "But sensei, there's too many of them!" There are at least thirty guys down there and that's not including the three. "You'll stand a better chance if you let us help!" He pointed out with haste.

When Aizawa didn't reply and remained focused on assessing the threats below, Bakugou piped up. "At least let us handle the small fries!" He glared at the three, mainly focusing on who he assumed was the leader. "They'll only wear you down for one of those three to strike."

Toga vehemently nodded in agreement. "He's right sensei!" She eyed Shigaraki and shivered from his killer aura. "They'll take every advantage they have to kill you!"

"Enough." Aizawa's stern voice cut them off. "While I appreciate the concern, the fact remains, you're still students and far too young to be facing such a threat." His eyes narrowed on the leader. "Me on the other hand? This is basically routine crap for me." He glanced at them with a small smile. "But I'm not as foolish as to think that I can beat them all." He focused on Kurogiri. "No, I'll just distract them long enough for everyone to exit the building, then I'll join you." Nemuri would never forgive him if he were reckless here.

Upon hearing his plan, the three somewhat calmed down but were still worried. "But…" Bakugou slowly spoke and grimaced at Kurogiri. "How are you going to escape with him around?" While he had no idea how fast the big guy and the leader were, he could safely assume that the portal villain wouldn't need to run after him.

Wordlessly, Aizawa turned to stare at him, his eyes glowing red behind his goggles as his hair stood up.

Bakugou blinked. "Oh, right." He scowled at Izuku and Toga who snickered.

"With that said, get moving." Aizawa snapped back at the villains and gripped his scarf. "There's no time to lose!" He said before leaping down the stairs. Surprising the villains with his entry before he went to attack the nearest grunt. Erasing quirks every time he faces a new foe and knocks them out with his superior fighting prowess.

Kurogiri and the creature prepared to move but Tomura calmly raised a hand, stopping them as he observed the fight in interest.

Meanwhile, the three watched in amazement before Izuku snapped out of it. "Come on! Don't let his efforts go to waste." The two nodded and followed him.

After knocking out a multi-armed thug, Eraserhead glared at the three. "What's your purpose here?" He questioned with authority.

"Straight to the point, you're just as serious from what I read." Tomura chuckled as he clasped his hands behind his back. "But to answer your question, we have two reasons. One, we're villains, it's in our nature to cause chaos." His eyes shifted to the unconscious villains on the ground. "While not going as well as I hoped, it's enough to cause you problems." He then focused on the pro. "As for the second reason, well, it's quite simple." His eyes turned murderous. "We're on a raid to the final boss." He spat with anger.

"Final boss?" Aizawa's brows furrowed as he thought of his words before it dawned on him. "You're referring to All Might."

Tomura scoffed. "Who else?" He gestured to the villains. "We're tired of him being around." He raised his right hand and clenched it. "I'm here to…solve that issue."

Aizawa grimaced. This wasn't good, people with grudges usually go to the extreme to get what they want. "Is that enough of a reason to endanger innocent lives?" By now the others should be about to reach the entrance. If he could just hold them off for a moment, they'd be able to make it out of here in one piece.

"Of course, it is." Tomura answered without a doubt. "Society would be better off without people like him…" His eyes narrowed dangerously. "People like you."

Aizawa's expression hardened before he dodged a villain who tried to attack him from behind. The latter paled in disbelief. "S-Shi-!" He was immediately socked in the face before being kicked away.

A nearby woman growled before shaping her hair into sharp horns and charging at the pro. Another grunt quickly gripped the ground to pull out a large chunk of concrete and threw it with a roar.

Aizawa heard this and quickly knocked a grunt out with a right hook before loosening his scarf and catching the projectile. Using the momentum, he redirected the shot and launched at the horn-haired woman.

Rather than dodging, the woman smirked and met the attack head-on as she aimed her horns and broke through the projectile with ease. She wore a triumphant grin that quickly fell when she looked up to see Aizawa in front of her with his fist ready. The latter used the moment to get close.

She quickly tried to reform her hair but was proved futile with the hero's quirk glaring at her. Leaving her defenseless against his powerful uppercut, putting her in a daze.

Aizawa then followed up with a strong knee to the stomach that knocked the wind out of her before he grabbed her and threw her over his shoulder toward another villain who tried to sneak up on him.

Tomura quietly chuckled as the two collided and fell to the ground unconscious. Two more grunts then rushed the underground hero who stood his ground.

As they got close one of them increased their speed and unsheathed his knife. "I got him!" He readied his blade.

Aizawa waited for him to get close, and when he did, he lunged at him with the knife. But the hero had easily dodged the stab and grabbed his wrist to perform a submission maneuver that caused him to yell in pain and drop the knife.

Following up the momentum, Aizawa used his free hand to deliver a quick punch to the back of the villain's head, knocking him out. As he fell, he quickly grabbed the fallen knife and threw it at the other villain running at him.

The villain yelped and dodged. "H-Hey!" She watched the knife fall before glaring at the hero. "You almost-!" Her arms were painfully bound to her sides in a snap as the capture scarf wrapped around her.

She struggled to free herself but was helpless as Aizawa pulled her towards him as he ran at her. Just as she was about to stumble, he jumped and delivered a devastating knee to the chin that knocked her out as she fell back.

Tomura was openly laughing now as he clapped. "You're really amazing, Eraserhead!" The hero calmly retrieved his scarf before glaring at him. "How about you join us?" He offered. "I know how you hate attention from the press, when I'm through with them, you won't be bothered anymore."

"Accepting an offer from a madman like you is the same as signing a deal with a demon." Aizawa smoothly retorted and got into his stance. "If you all surrender now, I promise you'll be treated fairly."

As expected, Tomura chuckled at the offer. "I didn't know you were a comedian." He shook his head. "I'd rather die than leave my faith to that corrupt system." While he sounded amused, there was an air of anger.

Eraserhead held back a curse, was that why he hated All Might? Had he been one of those unlucky enough to slip through the cracks? The ones they couldn't reach? "No, I can ponder on that later." He shifted his stance a bit and glanced at the surrounding villains for a moment. "I can knock out two more and use that to escape." It was a simple matter of keeping his eyes on the warp villain while he did it.

But as he was about to move, Tomura spoke again. "I urge you to reconsider Eraserhead, I don't issue offers like that lightly." He spread his arms. "I promise, you'll have more freedom if you do." He grinned with malice. "You wouldn't need to be held back by rules and morality. You'll have everything, including the world, at your disposal."

"Do you honestly expect me to believe that?" Aizawa retorted in a serious tone. "Only a fool would blindly follow the word of a villain and not expect betrayal someday." He'd never heard or seen an honorable villain in all his life as a pro and he doubted Tomura knew the first thing about it.

Tomura sighed at the response but didn't look the least bit surprised. "Should have seen that coming." He lowered his arms. "Still, it would have been interesting if you accepted the offer."

The villain was then silent for a moment before shrugging and glancing at the villains. "Oh well, we're on the clock and I bet you'll still be standing no matter how many bodies I throw at you." The low-tier villains glanced at each other with nervous looks, confirming his words. "With that being said, there's someone I've been wanting to introduce." He lazily pointed behind the hero as a sadistic smile formed on his face. "There's someone I've been wanting to introduce."

Aizawa narrowed his eyes at him in confusion before widening in alarm when a shadow loomed over him from behind. Without a second thought, he rolled forward, avoiding being crushed by two powerful fists.

Once he recovered his footing he stared in disbelief as the massive creature roared with his hands in the ground. "Eraserhead, meet my trump card." The monster pulled his arms free. "Nomu." He cackled.

But Aizawa didn't hear him as he was more focused on more pressing matters. "How did he get behind me without being noticed?" He assumed that Nomu only had enhanced strength and durability based on his build. But clearly, he also had enhanced speed as well.

And if he were to make an estimate, his power was similar to All Might's.

He mentally cursed at the dark comparison before his eyes widened. "Damn!" He looked back and to his horror, Kurogiri was nowhere in sight.

Tomura's laughter grabbed his attention. "Did you really think I didn't know what you were trying to do, old man?" He sneered. "I knew you heroes couldn't resist putting your lives on the line to let the others escape." He frowned a little. "All Might not being here was unexpected, but..." A sickening smile slowly formed. "I wonder if that'll change if I kill some kids?" He mused aloud in a malicious tone.

"No!" Aizawa growled and bolted for the stairs, only to be forced away when Nomu zipped ahead and blocked his path with a roar.

Tomura clicked his tongue. "Shame on you Eraserhead." He shook his head. "Don't you know it's rude to run away from people you just met?" He mockingly scolded before looking at the monster. "Nomu." The creature turned to him; his expression blank but attentive. "Introduce yourself."

At once, Nomu let out a powerful roar as he pounded his chest, each hit sending strong gusts of wind that forced Aizawa to raise his arms to steady himself in a grimace. "Such power!"

When Nomu finished, his muscles bulged as he growled and prepared to lunge at the hero who braced himself.

USJ GROUNDS-ENTRANCE AT TOP OF STAIRS

"The fuck was that!?" Bakugou exclaimed in shock as he and his friends glanced back while running.

Izuku gritted his teeth. "My guess, it's the big guy we saw." If the leader sent him after Aizawa, that meant his ploy was discovered somehow.

Toga gulped as she remembered the beast. "Can't we go back and help him?" It just didn't feel right to leave someone to fight alone like that. And neither did it sit well with Izuku and Bakugou who glanced at each other.

But just as they were about to agree and go back, they heard Kaminari's voice. "Come on guys!" They snapped ahead and saw the electric user waving them over, behind him were their other classmates who were all doing the same thing. "We're almost out of here!"

"I don't think so."

With a jolt, everyone looked to the entrance and saw Kurogiri reform in front of the entrance. Blocking the path entirely with his portal body. "I'm afraid none of you will be leaving this place." He added in a threatening tone.

"Get behind me!" Thirteen ordered as she stood defiantly between the students and the villain. "Who are you?" She asked as Izuku and his friends regrouped with them.

Kurogiri's form straightened. "We are the League of Villains." He leaned forward, towering over them with a sinister glare. "Your doom."

"I don't think so!" Bakugou yelled as he blasted up in the air before blasting towards the villain, behind him, Kirishima followed, unknowingly stopping Thirteen before she could use her quirk since they're in the line of fire.

Izuku grimaced. "Wait!" He yelled out as Toga and Mina did the same.

But their words fell on deaf ears as the furious blond unleashed a powerful explosion upon getting close while Kirishima charged through the blast with his hardened fist ready.

"Too reckless!" Thirteen exclaimed through the loud explosion while everyone else braced themselves from the shockwave.

When the smoke settled, they were stunned to see Kurogiri who appeared to be a little shocked but otherwise unharmed. "A little close…" He muttered before composing himself.

But the most shocking thing was that Bakugou and Kirishima were nowhere to be seen. "W-Where are they!?" Mineta exclaimed in panic while everyone else frantically searched for their friends.

Izuku sniffed the air, and when he didn't find their scents, he glared at the villain. "What did you do to them!?" His eyes and teeth sharpened.

Kurogiri wasn't intimidated and calmly answered. "I simply sent them somewhere you can't reach." His cold answer made most of them pale at the implications. "But not to worry." His eyes glowed with evil intent. "You'll be joining them soon." His warp mist began to expand, frightening most of the students.

Sparks emanated from Izuku, enraged by the response. But just before he could move, Thirteen stepped forward. "Not if I can help it!" She aimed a finger forward. "Black Hole!"

A powerful suction was then seen from her finger, consuming the mist and forcing Kurogiri to resist being pulled towards her. "I won't let you take another!" She yelled in resolute.

Kurogiri grunted against the strong force and glared at the heroine with hate. "Foolish hero!" He strained. "What makes you think I only need my mist to touch a target for my quirk to work!?"

Izuku's eyes narrowed before widening when he heard something below him. His eyes widened further when he saw the space below him beginning to distort. "Shit! His quirk must be utilizing line of sight, not just coordinates!"

Thinking quickly, he looked towards Toga who was completely focused on the villain. Without a second thought, he pushed her away, gaining a shocked reaction that shifted to horror upon seeing the dark mist form below him. "His quirk also uses line of sight!" He yelled out before falling into the portal below.

As Ida caught Toga, Ochako screamed as she nearly fell into a portal but was saved by Sero. The latter was then assisted by Sato who pulled her out.

Chaos followed as students were either transported or acted quickly enough to save another. "Catch her!" Tokoyami yelled out as he threw Mina at Shoji who quickly caught her before the shadow user was warped away with Koda.

"NO!" The pink teen screamed out in terror while everyone else was distraught at the fact that so many of them were transported to who knows where.

But Toga didn't register any of it as her eyes were firmly locked in where Izuku once stood. The warp villain's words of everyone being in places where they can't reach echo in her mind.

As a number of terrible scenarios played in her mind, the horror of the situation registered in the blonde as her expression broke into sorrow. "IZUKU!" Her cry sent heartbreak throughout her classmates and frustration with Thirteen as she cursed at the villain who chuckled at their despair.

To be continued.

Author's Notes:

1. I decided to call Yaoyorozu, Momo for simplicity's sake. Plus, her name is a pain to spell at times so this will make things a little smoother.

2. Sorry for the lack of action in this chapter, I wanted to focus on building relations and characters first.

3. I decided that Izuku shared his family history here. Because, as explained, it's good practice and a way to showcase his willingness to be honest. Not only that, based on his character, he'd rather get it over with than have to deal with it down the line.

4. Also, if any of you have suggestions as to what Kaiju you want to see here, feel free to suggest! I'll pick out ones that can be logically explained, even if a little bit. And who knows, maybe one of you will suggest a Kaiju that I've already planned on writing in. XD

THANK YOU FOR READING, PLUS ULTRA!
