Chapter 2 - Open War
The Wasteland
As the woman know as Mizuki approaches the fortress she sees a figure standing in the outside of said fortress, a man of blonde hair with elegant red clothes looks at Mizuki with his arms crossed.
"Well, well... what are you doing here in the outside... Rugal isn't it?" - Mizuki
"So you know my name... Impressive." - Rugal
"I overheared the man of purple hair with the scars on the forehead calling you by your name when that creature started to attack us." - Says Mizuki approaching Rugal
"And your name is?" - Rugal
"Just call me Mizuki, Human." - Mizuki
"It seens your little plan failed, I thought you would be dead alongside that creature at this point." - Rugal
"Rakikikiki... You really don't know me if you think a simple fall like that was enough to kill me. A goddess like me can't be killed so easily." - Mizuki
"Goddess?!... " - Rugal
"That's right, unlike you my dear. I'm not afraid of this so called competition, these humans will beg for mercy at the first encounter with me." - Mizuki
"You saw him, isn't it?" - Rugal
"Who?" - Mizuki
"This creature called Urbe. He who kidnapped us all, if you're supposed to be a goddess then I suppose this creature is much more than that to send you back to this place without moving a finger." - Rugal
"Rakikikiki! I see you're interested in him too... I'll tell you something my dear, perhaps if you follow my lead and act like a good slave I could certainly tell you some secrets..." - Says Mizuki about to put her finger in Rugal's chin
"Nice try but you're so obvious, Witch!" - Rugal grabs Mizuki's hand with such a strong grip making Mizuki become surprised
"(What the hell? This strenght! This power! This man... How can he have such strong chi?)" - Thought Mizuki struggling to free herself from Rugal's grip as she manages to see a strange red and purple aura covering Rugal's body with his eye brighting in a profound red light
"You dare to touch me!" - Mizuki
A strange tentacle comes from under Mizuki's robes catching Rugal by surprise who is forced to free Mizuki to counter attack this strange tentacle.
"So you're not ordinary human, fascinating! Tell me what is exactly your source of power, human?" - Mizuki
"Hehe, a creature from the past like you wouldn't understand it." - Rugal
"What did you called me?!" - Mizuki
"Oh I see what you're doing." - Mizuki
"Well if you're not going to tell me your secrets like a good boy, then I'll have to rip them out of your corpse!" - Mizuki
In that moment Mizuki jumps as a strange dog like creature comes from under her robes launching towards Rugal
"Die!" - Screams Mizuki as her demon pet Maju launches to strike Rugal
"Genocide cutter!" - Rugal does one of his trademark technique just as the demon in the form of a dog was about to jump at him, hurting the creature as it falls to the ground from such kick
"WHAT?" - Mizuki
"So are you going to stay there all day launching your minions? In that case allow me to make things more fun!" - Rugal uses his Banishing Rush technique hitting Mizuki so fast that she can barely react
"ARGH!" - Mizuki falls to the ground after recieving the attack
"Want to continue with this?" - Rugal approaches Mizuki
"Bastard!" - Mizuki looks at Rugal with anger getting up preparing to attack him
"Heheheheh.." - Rugal
"What are you laughing at? Stupid human!" - Mizuki
"You sure are an interesting creature... You would had made a great piece for my collection back in the day. But right now I'm not interested in fighting with you." - Says Rugal entering the fortress leaving Mizuki
"..." - Mizuki stares with anger at Rugal recovering herself she decides to enter in the fortress
Entering in the fortress Mizuki sees the rest of the people that came with her talking with each other.
"What are you doing?" - Asks Rugal seeing Krizalid, Geese, Mr. Big, Zeus, Setsuna, Botan and the rest looking at the weaponry that was inside the fortress
"We're preparing ourselves to win this... Didn't you hear it? This is a war and we need to slain our opponents if we want to win and get our wishes." - Said Krizalid already imagining himself tearing certain people from the competition apart
"Are you in Old Man? Here grab a weapon!" - Says Botan giving Rugal a strange looking weapon.
"You all have to be joking!" - Rugal drops the weapon on the ground
"Don't tell me you're planning to play this creature... This Urbe's game?" - Rugal
"He said he can accomplish anything that we want if we win... That sounds like a good deal to me." - Krizalid
"You are only thinking about the price?!" - Said Rugal annoyed
"Listen to me, we mustn't fight! Something bigger than what we can think of is hidding here, we must be cautious. We must try to understand what is going on." - Rugal
"You don't want us to fight to make our dreams a reality?" - Mr. Big
"Ignore your ridiculous dreams! Fighting is accepting to be ants against the sun, we have a opportunity to dominate a being to who the gods are nothing to but insects. We have inmortality at our hands!" - Rugal
"Let me get this, you're quitting! Aren't you?" - Botan
"Of course, he saw the defeat of that alien and he is scared!" - Mr. Big
"You want to play his dumb game, only because of that offer?" - Rugal
"If that means war, then I'm in!" - Allen O'Neil
"IDIOTS!" - Rugal throws a Kaiser wave at one of the machines in the room creating a big smoke cloud leaving everyone else behind as he gets out of the room to another place in the fortress
"(That will hold them back until I get out of here. I should have supposed they wouldn't understand, perhaps that woman wasn't as crazy as I thought.)" - Rugal
"(Hmph! Perhaps this man isn't as dumb as I thought.)" - Mizuki follows Rugal
Rugal walks to the hangar of the fortress finding three spaceships there, he starts getting into one when
"Disappointing isn't it? To see that you're of the few seeing the bigger picture here than just a simple war." - Mizuki
"Mizuki! What do you want?" - Rugal enters in the ship
"Isn't obvious. I don't want to form part of this being's game as much as you." - Mizuki enters the strange ship for Rugal's surprise
"So tell me, Rugal. Where are you going?" - Mizuki
"With the competition..." - Rugal
"You know how to use this?" - Mizuki
"Piloting this is child's play for me." - Rugal
"Mmm.. Fascinating! In my time this metallic birds that can carry people in air didn't existed." - Mizuki
As Rugal and Mizuki leave the fortress suddenly a blonde man enters in the hangar
"(Rugal thinks he can betray us like that? Not as long as I live!)" - Zeus uses one of the cannons in the hangar to hit Rugal's ship. Making him and Mizuki crash on the land
Meanwhile
"You all heared that?" - Kaede
"What was that?" - Kula
"A ship! Is crashing over there!" - Points Chizuru in the distance
"Lets take a look!" - Ryo
Seeing the ship crash, the band of fighters rush to the place
"Argh!" - Mizuki and Rugal drag themselves from the wreckage of the ship
"Is that-Is that Rugal? How he could survive?" - Said Terry
"Careful, Kyo! This could be a trap." - Athena
"Maybe but who is that other woman?" - Says Kyo as the group approaches with them seeing the other person who was with Rugal
"Impossible! Mizuki!" - Nakoruru
"This-This won't stop me.." - Says Rugal slowly getting up
"Argh... My head!" - Mizuki
"So much power, none of us are nothing to him..." - Says Rugal as Kyo and the rest approaches
"He is injured?" - Ryo
"..." - Kyo
Athena, Chizuru and Jeanne approach the other woman who was with Rugal
"Hey, are you ok?" - Athena
"Athena, be careful! Don't get closer to her, you have no idea how dangerous is she." - Nakoruru
"Yes, trust us. Mizuki is anything but friendly." - Galford
"Move out Kusanagi! Maybe we should interrogate this scum! This could be trap." - K'
"K' could be right." - Maxima
"... No. I'll talk with him." - Kyo stares at Rugal with an empty look remembering having fought against him in the past and Rugal having brainwashed his dad to force him to destroy him.
Yet despite that, Kyo extends his hand to Rugal
"Need a hand?" - Kyo
"I don't need your help!" - Rugal gets up
"Don't touch me, you disgusting humans!" - Says Mizuki to Chizuru, Athena and Jeanne with her teleporting close to him as both stare at their rivals
"Is pity what I see in your eyes, Kusanagi? And yours too, Bogard?" - Rugal
"I was an idiot for believing you would understand..." - Rugal
"Careful he is going to-" - Says Terry as Rugal throws a Kaiser Wave towards them
"You will pay! Your entire group, Urbe and the entire universe will do it!" - Rugal and Mizuki start attacking Kyo and the rest
"Soon you pathetic creatures will learn!" - Mizuki
"Go Mamahaha!" - Nakoruru signals her hawk as Mamahaha spins in the air covering his body with fire, the hawk then returns preparing to strike Mizuki
"Nice try, priestess but I know that trick!" - Mizuki dodges Mamahaha
"Reppuken!" - Rugal throws a reppuken towards Kyo with Kyo dodging the projectile to try to punch Rugal
Rugal stops Kyo's punch with his arm
"I remember you being more faster, Kusanagi. What's wrong? You look like you had seen a ghost?" - Rugal
"Shut up!" - Kyo frees himself from Rugal's grab with him and the rest launching to attack Mizuki
"Enough! Maju!" - Mizuki summons her dog with the dog throwing a big sphere of lava from her mouth making everyone in Kyo's group jump to avoid being hit by the attack
"WHAT?" - As Nakoruru looks again where Mizuki and Rugal were they don't see them anymore
"They are gone!" - Terry
"Rugal isn't stupid. He was injured after the fall, they used that to escape." - Kyo
"Athena can you detect their chis?" - Kyo
"They are gone, Kyo. Nowhere to be found." - Athena
"Wait a moment! I detect something!" - Says Athena in a concerned tone turning around
"Oh no!" - Kula
"There they come!" - Screams Whip seeing Rugal and Mizuki's other "Partners" Running towards them carrying strange weapons
