Chapter 4 - The Weakest Link - Part 1
The group walks out of the base
"The prison cells are very interesting, each one has a type of psycho ecstasy controlling the anger throught the brain. I took me a while to understand how it worked." - Said Dr. Brown to the group.
"I doubt anyone else could had made it work, Doc." - Kyo
"They won't suffer and won't be a danger at the moment." - Said Dr. Brown
"That's very kind of you, Dr. Brown." - Athena
"I suggest we take a break. Athena, tell everyone to reunite with us in the sector 453." - Kyo
"Sure thing!" - Athena
Some moments later
"As you know, we have won the battle but not the war." - Kyo stands in front of the fighters.
"Then lets get out of here, why are we wasting our time?" - K'
"First of all. We don't know where our enemies are. Second, is a big planet. The Alien, Rugal, Mizuki, Geese, Krauser, Krizalid, the Hakkesshu and the rest are still out there. All of them were already dangerous on their own but together they represent a bigger threat." - Kyo
"We have an advantage, lets not waste it." - Kyo
"You're crazy, Kusanagi. I'll leave." - Said K' ignoring Kyo's comment
"Nakoruru, Athena, Kula and Akari. I need you to patrol the area surrounding the base. We want to confirm the place is in a safe area for now. The rest will interchange positions from time to time, we need to change two things. Rooms for all the twenty four of us. Move out!" - Kyo
"Do you think Kyo is acting right?" - Akari
"Does Stephen King writes fairy tales?" - Says Athena as they move out of the place in their respective ways, Athena and Nakoruru flying, while Kula slides creating an ice trail and Akari rides a demonic bird.
Meanwhile.
"I had the situation controlled, why do we need to retreat?" - Asks Botan to Geese.
"Because is clearly you fools underestimated them. You had to fool around instead of finish them." - Geese
"Don't look at me. I was trying to pierce that Ice Brat until we were forced to retreat." - Shion
"He isn't talking about you, Shion. He is talking about those three idiots." - Says Botan pointing at the Hakkesshu
"Hehehe... Did you saw that girl's face? She was scared to death." - Chris
"Yes, Chris. We get it. You enjoyed tormenting that little girl. To bad you wasted your opportunity to kill both her and that blondie." - Shermie
"Yes. We had to retreat to help you from being cut in pieces." - Yashiro
"Alright, next time you two are about to die. Don't count with me to save your sorry butts." - Chris
"Kusanagi Number One!" - Kusanagi
"Has anyone wonder where did that copy of Kusanagi came from?" - Shermie
"No idea." - Yashiro
"From what I heared, Kagura created this replica with the Yata Mirror." - Chris
"Hey, Bizarro Kyo! Who is your mother?" - Asks Chris
"Chizuru Kagura." - Says Kusanagi with a sad look
"Poor freak... Imagine being the son of that desperate spinster." - Chris
"Hey, did someone saw that white haired guy with the long coat?" - Asks Botan noticing Krizalid was nowhere to be seen in their group
"No." - King Leo
"No!" - Setsuna
"No." - Krauser
"Nope." - Chris
Meanwhile
Some meters far away a strange metalic formation is seen hiding in the red lands on the south of the planet. The metal fortress seens to be abandoned until a figure is watched seeing the horizon from one of the rooms from the fortress
"(What a strange alien world. To think here in this place, the destiny of everything that exists is on the table.)" - Thought Krizalid
"(I wonder if the others had the same feeling I have.)" - Krizalid
"(After this last encounter I don't think I need to depend on them to win. I'll make sure to win this game by my own.)" - Krizalid
Fortress of the East.
As Geese and the rest arrive to their fortress they are surprised to see not other than Rugal and Mizuki standing outside the base with a glass of wine for each other
"Welcome to my fortress!" - Rugal
"Rugal!" - Geese, Botan and King Leo grind their teeth at seeing Rugal.
"Look, is the chicken!" - Botan
"I thought Zeus had killed you." - King Leo
"He didn't do a good job it seens." - Geese
"Move out of the way unless you want to be teared apart!" - Yashiro
"Want to be turned into swiss cheese?" - Allen
"Now I'm in charge Rugal!" - Geese
"I don't think so, Geese." - Says Rugal as suddenly a electric ray hits Geese and the rest sending them to the ground
"Ah-What?" - Botan sees Neo Dio standing in the mountains being the responsable from attacking the group.
"Neo Dio? You brought him back... Is he your slave now?" - King Leo
"Exactly." - Mizuki
"And he is under our service... Like you all." - Rugal
"Damn, I'm hungry. Want to take the lead, Rugal? Fine by me. I don't care." - Yashiro
"Then enter." - Rugal and the rest enter in the base
"So how it was your encounter with them?" - Mizuki
"Bad." - Shion
"Man, I'm beat. All this walking around in this desertic planet... Just let me get some rest." - Shermie
As the rest go inside, Geese stays with Rugal
"You're hidding your cards, Rugal." - Geese
"But, I would like to know what are you and that witch planning for that alien?" - Geese
"The alien?" - Rugal takes Geese to the control room
"It took me a while to find him but he is there floating over a mountain hundreds of meters from here. What is he trying to accomplish? I don't know but is suspicious." - Rugal
"Regarding my plans. Just keep in mind that I'll triumph! Now go to rest, Howard!" - Rugal
"(Something tells me his plans go beyond just winning this war, but the question is wherever or not he will try to destroy us before we can defeat Bogard and his group or after it?)" - Geese leaves the room
South Base - Hundreds of meters away
A strange shadow is seeing entering in the base without being detected.
"Is something wrong, Mai?" - Athena enters in the room with the view to the horizon. She sees a sad Mai with her arms crossed looking at the ground
"Oh, hello Athena... Is nothing *Sniff*" - Say Mai trying to hide her sadness
"I can see you're sad, what's wrong Mai? You don't need to tell me but I want you to know I'm here to listening to you." - Athena
"Is just-Is just that I miss Andy so much." - Confessed Mai
"Don't cry, Mai. I'm sure Andy also misses you, I'll give you my word that everything is going to be fine. We will be out of here in no time." - Say Athena giving Mai a hug
"(I hope.)" - Athena
"Thanks, Athena. You're a good friend." - Mai
"(Aww. I don't blame that ninja girl. I also miss my home... This place and that strange technology just confuses me.)" - Thought Akari spying on the conversation between Athena and Mai
In another part of the base
"I was on a date with Mary before this happened. Everything was so suddenly." - Terry
"Believe me, Terry. I understand you, I was training with Robert and Yuri before appearing here..." - Ryo
"I believe most of us were doing important stuff before being dragged here by this being for his sick game." - Ryo
"How ironic. You wake up thinking is going to be a normal day only to appear in a planet hundreds of light years away from home... You know, Ryo. I'm starting to miss the little Rocky." - Terry
"Your son?" - Ryo
"Yeah. I hope he is fine... He must be worried. I wish I could see him to see if he fine." - Terry
"I don't blame you, I miss my dad and sister. Robert can be a show off sometimes but I do miss him too... And King. She is a great friend." - Ryo
Unknown to them someone passes by in the corridors
"(I can't sleep. Maybe I should just look around. *Sigh* Look at that, is Ryo and Terry.)" - Kyo stops to hear at the conversation.
"I'm sorry man. I probably sound like a fool now." - Terry
"Is ok, Terry. Considerating the circustances." - Ryo
"(Hmph! Thanks, guys. I almost forgot the fact I will never going to see Yuki again.)" - Thinks Kyo leaving the area
"(And perhaps that would be better for her... )" - Kyo
"Ohm! Ohm!" - Nakoruru is seen meditating.
"Argh!" - In frustation Nakoruru gets up
"(Ever since I arrived here I've been struggling to connect with Kamui and Nature..)" - Nakoruru
"(Just what is going on? Have I loss my powers fully?)" - Nakoruru
"(I made you my slave once and I'll do it again!)" - Botan
"(Kusanagi created by mother Chizuru to kill fake Kusanagi and White haired man.)" - Kusanagi
"(I wish I could remember what were they talking about.)" - Chizuru is seen sitting in her room looking at the strange alien decoration of the walls
"(Athena wasn't wrong when she noticed it. But I didn't wanted to accept it... My powers aren't what used to be.)" - Chizuru
"(But I can't admit it... It was all my fault.)" - Chizuru stares at the Yata Mirror
"(Nobody would understand it. After the tournament of 96, Kagura enterprises went throught a hard situation. Those were very bad times, we were almost at the bankruptcy from 98 to 2002.)" - Chizuru
"(My mind was in trying to save the company. I barely had time to train... Now I'm suffering for this.)" - Chizuru
"(I shouldn't even be here. Being the heir of the yata, the company, my own life... Is just too much pressure.)" - Chizuru grabs her forehead sweating
"(Oh sister... How I wish you were here. You always had the best tips. I try to do my best but dad was right... I'm not good enough to be the heir of the Yata.)" - Chizuru
"(What kind of support I can bring to Kyo and the rest if I'm nothing but an useless fighter. I'm the shadow of what I used to be!)" - Chizuru
"(I never wanted this responsability, other women are able to being the owners of their destiny but me? I'm can't even dedicate five minutes without being dragged to this universal fight.)" - Chizuru almost tosses the Yata mirror with her staring at her reflection in the mirror
"(I wanna go home!)" - A silent tear comes from the eye of the Yata priestess
Meanwhile
"(Mmmh. Yes it will be easy to manipulate the flow of this generator.)" - Thought the Shadow
"(Creating a small catastrophe. A little problem that will make them come to me. Wich will make my plan all too easy.)" - The shadow
In another part
"So you're not troubled about being here, Marco? And what if we never return home?" - Asked Rosa
"The Peregrine Falcons have accomplish some missions on space, Rosa. We will return to earth." - Marco
*Intruder Intruder* - The sounds of the alarm appeared calling the attention of both.
"Something happens!" - Rosa
"The generator room!" - Marco pulls his Heavy Machine gun
"I'll go to check!" - Rosa
"And I'll go for some backup! Unless you want me to go alongside you?" - Marco
"I can take care of myself, Rossi. Move it!" - Rosa
"Problems!" - Say Ryo and Terry running to the generator room
As Kyo and the rest arrives, they see Rosa being tossed in a strange ball of ice
"Is that white haired man, guys!" - Rosa
"Krizalid!" - Kyo sees Krizalid having freezed the whole place
"Hmph!" - Krizalid smirks at seeing Kyo and the rest
"Stop him!" - Jeanne
"No, don't underestimate him. He plans to crush us with those ice walls." - Kyo notices how the frozen ice walls are starting to approach to them
"None of you can't lay a finger on me! Inferior humans!" - Krizalid
"Shingen, Athena and Ryo. Try to repel the walls!" - Kyo
"(Argh! Damn it! It didn't worked as I planned. It doesn't matter. I'll take cover elsewhere.)" - Thought Krizalid moving out of there seeing that Athena, Shingen and Ryo had stopped his plan
"Hey, freak. Where do you think you're going!" - Haohmaru gets up in the broken ice
"Leave him to me, he won't escape!" - Nakoruru chases after Krizalid grabing to Mamahaha
"Well what do we have here, do you really think you can catch me?" - Krizalid turns around hitting Nakoruru with an ice sharp created from his hand, the sharp impacts Nakoruru making her fall on some of the machinery hitting her head and becoming knocked out
"(Maybe I should forget about my first plan. A prisioner like this girl will be useful.)" - Krizalid quickly grabs the unconscious Nakoruru escaping from there
"You're not getting away!" - Galford runs towards Krizalid but Krizalid creates and ice barrier managing to escape leaving Galford and the rest inside
"Damn it! He is gone!" - As Kyo breaks the ice. none of them see Krizalid
"We arrived late!" - Rosa and the rest of the fighters trapped in the broken ice arrive to see the angry Galford, Kyo, Terry and Haohmaru
"He took Nakoruru." - Galford
"Leave him, Galford that bastard will get what is coming for him." - Haohmaru
"Did anybody notice those NESTS guys didn't came to help?" - Mai
"Leave it, Mai." - Kyo
"We have other stuff to worry about to fight between ourselves." - Kyo
Some moments later
"We cant go for Krizalid yet after what Dr. Brown found in the monitor room. The drone capted this!" - Kyo and Dr. Brown show Terry and the rest the images of Rootmars floating on top of the mountains
"It seens we are going to be busy." - Kyo
