"(So that damn thing is just there floating on that mountain, I wonder what is he doing?)" - Thinks Mizuki seeing the image of Root Mars in the big screen of the computer lab
"(Well it won't be long until they realize the rest have already escaped, I better get on with this. If I can execute my plan I'll easily win this.)" - Thinks Mizuki walking in the corridors of the base
"Chizuru, is everything ok?" - Asks Athena approaching Chizuru appearing behind her having seen her walking in the corridors
"..." - Mizuki feeling the presence of Athena coming closer turns around
"Ah, Athena. Yes! Everything is going fine, why do you ask?" - Chizuru
"Well, you looked angry an hour ago. I was worried something was bothering you, if that was the case you can tell me, isn't that what friends are for?" - Says Athena with a confident look
"No, I was just tired after the fight with that demon. But now I'm fine, by the way, what happened to Nakoruru..." - Chizuru
"You don't remember? She was kidnapped by Krizalid, Kyo, Marco and Dr. Brown have been trying to localize the hideout of Krizalid." - Athena
"I just hope she is fine... I know Galford is totally worried. He was about to leave the base to go for her alone but I managed to talk to him to wait until we can go in a group. Who knows, maybe Krizalid isn't alone." - Athena
"(So that little insect is kidnapped? Hmph! That Krizalid would certainly make me a big favour killing her, but on the other side knowing she died thanks to that artificial human would annoy me, it should be me who gets to crush that little insect!)" - Chizuru
"Don't worry, Athena. She is going to be fine, we will save her." - Chizuru puts her two hands on Athena's shoulders. The idol can't help but stare confused at the kind smile of Chizuru
"Ah yes! You're right, we won't allow Krizalid to hurt Nakoruru." - Athena
"Now if you excuse me, I need to do something, I'll see you later." - Chizuru
"(If only we had an object from her, it would be easy for me or Akari to localize her.)" - Thinks Athena as she sees Chizuru leave
"(Grrr... She is as annoying as that infernal Nakoruru! But I must be careful around her, she could find me using those psychic powers of hers, is a good thing she doesn't distrust of Ms. Kagura.)" - Advancing through the corridors Chizuru sees certain someone standing with his hands on his pocket leaning on the steel wall
"Kagura." - Iori rises his head looking at her with his sharp eyes as Chizuru approaches
"(Oh! Is Chizuru's puddin'. My this woman really has bad taste in men, looking at him I can't help but think about that damn Genjuro Kibagami, he must be here somewhere too.)" - Chizuru
"Iori." - Chizuru
"Explain to me... What happened between you and that woman from the strings." - Iori
"Why do you want to know that?" - Chizuru
"Because I have the feeling that this woman knows something that we forgot." - Iori
"I couln't tell you much honestly. I don't remember ever seeing her before, she claims to have controlled me in the past but I really don't remember anything." - Chizuru
"Hmph! You don't remember or you don't want to remember?" - Iori
"Where are you going with this? I already told you that I don't remember her and frankly, even if I did remember her. Is none of your business..." - Says Chizuru walking away
"Hmph!" - Iori
Meanwhile
"Perimeter is clear..." - Leona is seen watching the horizon with a pair of binoculars
"Argh! This is so boring! Why do we have to guard the surroundings of the base?" - Akari
"We need to guard the entrance until the defense system is repaired, it was affected during the fight with Krizalid. And for what Dr. Brown said, it will take a while." - Leona
"Is clear they won't attack us with a direct approach, they must be planning something!" - Akari.
"How are you sure about that? The enemy can attack us from any direction, you never know what kind of plan they could had came with and having in mind their fair share of abilities. Anything is possible." - Leona
"You're always this serious?" - Akari
"..." - Leona doesn't answer and keeps watching
"*Sigh* You military people are so weird. You remind me of that guy Washizuka, he always was totally serious when it came to "Enforce the law"" - Akari
"Sounds like someone my father would get along with..." - Leona
"So how is your life? Must be fun to be some kind of mercenary, right?" - Asks Akari with a sly smile
"Isn't a life of games and fun, everyday I wake up knowing that it could be my last one, every mission is a divided by a small line between life and death and I can't afford to make a mistake not matter how small it could be for not only my life but the ones from my team and the innocent could be in danger. Does that answers your question?" - Leona looks at Akari with a serious stare
"..." - Akari just opens widely her eyes
"Sounds fun." - Akari
Meanwhile
"(Ah, so this is where the Doctor and the rest keep all the weapons that Urbe gave them.)" - Says Mizuki having found the weaponry room of the base
"(Alot of interesting toys to play with but I only need one object in especific.)" - Mizuki grabs a small backpack and approaching to one of the corners she sees what appears to be medium sized bombs
"(Seems like spending sometime with that man Rugal was worth it. I learned alot about the modern world thanks to Chizuru's mind. This must be the bombs I was looking for.)" - Mizuki starts grabing some of these medium sized bombs and putting them inside this backpack
"(With this 12 bombs is enough. Now that I have everything I needed, I can start with the main stage of this little play.)" - Mizuki
"(Rakikikiki... They don't know what I have in store for them.)" - Mizuki walks out of the weaponry room
"..." - Iori Yagami is seen walking out of the base, he looks at the horizon of the desertic planet with him turning to see the sky, nothing but a strange light purple sky
*Tap tap* - Iori hears some sounds resembling footsteps coming towards him, he turns around to see two men, Genjuro Kibagami and Moriya Minakata
"So you two decided to follow me here." - Iori
"From the first moment I saw both of you. I know this was going to happen, it seems you two want to prove your strength against me." - Iori
"Is a fight to the death, Yagami. We know you wouldn't had come here if you didn't want this as well." - Moriya
"What better place than here where nobody else will get in the way." - Genjuro
"I find your threats amusing. If you two are so confident in your swords, to the point that you think is enough to kill me, then allow me to show you how wrong are you." - Iori turns around going into his fighting stance as the three men of red hair look at each other with smiles, preparing to fight with everything they have without anyone getting in the way.
Chizuru is seen sitting in her room, she pulls out the mirror of Yata as she approaches it to her face. Kagura starts reciting strange words as suddenly the mirror of Yata starts glowing with a strange purple and dark energy
"Is something wrong?" - Kaede looks at Terry as he is sitting on one of the couches
"No, is just that well how do I say this." - Terry
"You remind me alot of my son, Rock." - Terry
"Your son looks like me?" - Kaede
"When you go Super Sai-I mean when you do that trick that turns your hair blonde, you look exactly like him." - Terry
"I see what you mean. I only look that way when I tap the power of Seiryu. One of the four gods." - Kaede
"You must miss him. Your son, I mean." - Kaede
"Yes, I actually do." - Terry
"Don't worry, Terry. I have faith that we will return home." - Kaede
"Guys, guys!" - An startled Rosa approaches Terry and Kaede
"What happened?" - Kaede
"Yes, why do you look so altered?" - Terry
"Is the containment capsules. They are empty! Someone must had freed Mr. Big and the rest!" - Rosa
"When did that happened?" - Asks Marco hearing this too
"I don't know but one of us must had done them this favour." - Rose turns to see Athena, Kyo, Ryo, Mai, Galford, Shingen, Haohmaru, Shigen, Dr. Brown and Jeanne approaching
"You guys, know this? The capsules were Mr. Big and the rest were opened, someone must had freed them." - Terry
"What? You have to be kidding!" - Kyo
"Dr. Brown, only a couple of us had the codes, who could had done this?" - Athena
"Only Rosa, Kyo, Athena, Marco, Leona and Chizuru knew the codes apart from me..." - Dr. Brown thinks
"Wait, where's Chizuru, Iori, Genjuro and Moriya?!" - Athena realizes that from the group only these four are missing
*Sssp* - A strange sound is heard as the fighters see a strange mist slowly covering the entire place
*Coughs* - The fighters start coughing as they breath this strange odor that smells like rotten
"What is that smell?" - Kyo
"What?!" - Dr. Brown
"Wh-at-Isss gooin-g oooonnnn?" - Asks Kaede realizing he is starting to talk very slow
"I-DOOONN'T KNOOOOW!" - Ryo notices his voice is also becoming slowed for the shock of the group
"The hell?" - Marco sees how his arm explodes as strange and slimy eggs fall from it
"MARCO!" - Rosa
"Why suddenly my back feels very heavy?" - Terry
"*Gasp* Terry, what is that in your back?" - Athena sees a strange formation appearing on the back of Terry, something in spiral form as slowly takes the form of a shell
"ARGH!" - Kyo looks at his hands seeing them morphing in a slow and painful way becoming slimy and resembling the body of a snail?
"KYO!" - Athena
"Athe-na what is happening to meee!" - Just like Terry a strange shell is starting to appear behind Kyo's back for the shock of Athena and the rest
"Argh!" - And slowly the group starts suffering the same symptons as their bodies start morphing turning slowly into snails
*Crack* - Ryo sees Jeanne falling to the ground as just like them her body starts morphing turning into a snail as well
"ARGH!" - Mai too falls on the ground seeing her arms slowly turning into parts of snails for her disgust and shock
"Whhhhaht is thiiiiiss!" - Kyo notices how his left eye starts stretching out of his head in such a inhuman way
"RAKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKI! Now let's see the espectacle with our own eyes!" - Chizuru walks out of her room noticing how the mist covers the entire corridors of the base
Kyo now on the ground tries to drag himself
"Athena, use your powers, try to get out of this place... It must the strange mist what is causing this." - Kyo looks at Athena who is also on the ground having lost the mobility on her legs
"Teleport out of here... Escape." - Kyo
"I can try to do that... But I feel so strange." - Athena focuses her chi, she disappears using her psycho teleport
*Ssss* - But for Kyo's surprise he sees Athena appear at the left of the room falling on the ground
"Athena! Are you alright!" - Kyo is concerned hearing her hit the ground
"My powers, they aren't working like they should..." - Athena stares at her hands slowly morphing too with a desperate look
"This can't be..." - Kaede
"ARGH! What iss thisss?" - Shigen
"Even Mamahaha and Poppy are suffering from this?!" - Galford sees how both Mamahaha and Poppy are slowly turning into snails too as a big shell appears on Mamahaha and Poopy's backs as well as Poppy's eyes slowly start coming out of her head
"Alright, time to seal their fate..." - Mizuki creates 12 copies of herself, giving a bomb to each of them, she gives indications with signs as the group of Mizukis smile on their way to plant each bomb inside the base
"Argh... This is horrible." - Mai
"Why it had to be snails?" - Terry
As the painful process continues, Mizuki's shadows manage to prepare the bombs in different corners of the base.
*Tap Tap* - Kyo and the rest suddenly hear footsteps approaching, they are surprised as a shadow appears revealing herself to be Chizuru Kagura with her arms on her back looking totally fine compared to them
"Chizuru!" - Athena
"Chizuru, quick you need to get out of here, this strange mist is turning everyone into-Argh! Snails!" - Kyo
"..." - Chizuru walks in front of Kyo
"Huh, Kyo. You look like a snail... What happened to you, guys?" - Asks Chizuru with a concerned expression
"Is the mist, Chizuru. The mist is doing this." - Athena
"Mist?" - Chizuru turns to see the strange mist with a surprised fact
"*Sigh*" - For Kyo and the rest's surprise, Chizuru breaths the mist, looking normal without suffering through any strange effect like them or even coughing
"It smells like death. I like it!" - Chizuru
"Chi-Chizuru?" - Kyo
"Hehehehehehehehe... Rakikikikikikiki!" - Chizuru starts bursting in laughter in front of the group
"What-Is going on!" - Athena
"You're not turning into a snail? You're not affected by this?" - Kyo
"Why should I? When I was the one who created this mist." - Says Chizuru showing a creepy smile
"WHAT?" - Kyo, Athena and Terry are surprised hearing this
"This technique is called Curse of the Mollusk, a curse I only was able to replicate with a big source of chi... And what better source than my mirror of yata!" - Chizuru
"Curse of the Mollusk?" - Kyo
"You're not Chizuru! Who are you?!" - Athena
"Oh by the contrary, little psychic! I am Chizuru, this is her body but lets just say she was tired and needed to take a rest, so I took over her as the one controlling this ship now." - Chizuru passes her hand in front of her face as her facial features morph to show the face of Mizuki Rashoujin
"Mizuki!" - Galford and Haohmaru recognize the Herald of Ambrosia
"Ah nice to see you two insects there, didn't recognized you now turned into this. Shame Nakoruru isn't here, I would had love to spray her with salt to speed up her death." - Chizuru
"What did you do to Chizuru!" - Athena
"Didn't I told you already? She let her body to me. Your dear friend is no more, she made a mistake killing my host so I repaired the favour by taking her body to myself. Don't try to call out to her, she is gone!" - Mizuki
"You damn monster! I'll pull you out of her body!" - Kyo approaches using his left hand that still looks normal to grab on to Mizuki's foot
"Grr.. You humans' fighting spirit always has amused me, even when facing certain doom, you still want to fight, you barely can move your body anymore, Kusanagi, you're becoming nothing more than a useless and defenseless snail and yet you still want to fight me!" - Mizuki smiles
Mizuki rises her feet stepping on Kyo's hand
*Crack*
"ARGH!" - Kyo
"Miserable arrogant brat! You think you can stop me in this pathetic form? Even if you weren't transformed into a snail, the outcome would be the same, you might be a big deal on earth but here you're just a waste of time for me!" - Mizuki steps on Kyo's hand with all her anger
"Disgusting creature! Get out of my view!" - Mizuki rises her feet kicking Kyo sending him back still turned into a snail
"Kyo!" - Athena
"Grrr.." - Athena rises her arm that still hasn't turned, she focuses her chi trying to attack Mizuki with a psycho ball
"Hmph." - Mizuki dodges the sphere
"That was cute... You really think that simple sphere of chi was going to win this?" - Mizuki creates a floating seal with her hands, she sends it towards Athena who can't dodge it as she is grabed floating in the air
*Slam* - Mizuki slams Athena to the right making her crash against Kyo for her amusement
"Rakikiki... This war is over, don't try to escape, is impossible with such slow movement. Just accept it, I won!" - Says Mizuki as with a simple hand gesture all her twelve shadows return to her having set the bombs on different parts of the base
"In an few minutes, this war will be over, I have set enough bombs for this place to be sended back to jupíter with a explosion that none of you could survive. An hour to be exact!" - Says Mizuki making Kyo and the rest be surprised
"You all can't escape your fate, just embrace it. For it is I who had victory assured the moment I obtained Kagura's body." - Mizuki vanishes in front of the group as the count for the bombs start
The three red haired fighters stop after a fierce clash from their battle with the three feeling a strange chi coming from the base
Meanwhile
"They have been too quiet, I wonder why?" - Asks Akari as she and Leona enter back to the base, not hearing anything from the rest using the radio Leona has
"Hello?" - Akari
"Everything is silent... Where are they?" - Leona
"Huh!" - Akari notices the strange mist that has covered the entire base
"What?" - Leona sees her arm starting to move strangely as she feels a strange pain
"Oh no, this isn't good!" - Reacting also starting to felt strange, Akari decides to cover her and Leona with two shields covering their auras
"This strange sensation is gone! What is this shield?" - Asks Leona noticing this type of second aura covering her and Akari
"Something that will protect us from whatever this mist is, but it won't last long. We need to find the rest and get out. I don't want to know what this mist is doing." - Akari
*Beep Beep* - Both Leona and Akari hear a strange beeping sound nearby, the two open a door finding themselves with one of the bombs left by Mizuki
"(A bomb, why is this here and who could activate it?)" - Leona examines the bomb as the count moves with the timer being 1:70
"Can't you deactivate it?" - Says Akari with a worried look
"Yes, I have seem bombs operating in a more complicated ways than this. Just cut the blue cord." - Pulling out her knife, Leona cuts the blue cord of the bomb with the count stopping as the bomb turns off
"*Sigh*" - Akari feels relief as the bomb becomes useless
"ARGH!" - A scream from a voice similar to Kyo's is heard calling the attention of both fighters as they move quickly to the main room
"WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!" - Akari exclaims totally surprised seeing Kyo and the rest still transforming into snails for the disgust of Akari and the surprise of Leona, even Nakoruru's hawk Mamahaha and Galford's dog Poppy are suffering this.
"Akari!" - Kaede calls out Akari sitting in a corner with parts of his body having turned into a snail
"Kaede..." - Akari reacts shocked and sad to see the state in where Kaede is
"Akari... Leona. Quick! There's no time to explain." - Kyo whose two eyes are already stretched out of his head notices both girls
"Kyo! What happened to you and the rest?" - Leona approaches Kyo
"Don't touch me! If you do you will transform too, listen Chizuru was taken by that demon who Nakoruru mentioned, Mizuki!" - Kyo
"WHAT?" - Akari
"(Now I understand why her chi felt strange on the way back after returning from the cave, but how could she do this?)" - Leona
"But that's not the worse, she is planning to kill everyone of us using those bombs from the weaponry room, you girls have to disarm them quickly! Before is too late." - Says Athena who is still looking more human than the rest but clearly not in conditions to fight
"So she put more bombs on the base apart from the one we found some moments ago?" - Akari
"Yes, there's twelve of them!" - Athena
"This curse seems familiar..." - Akari
"What do you mean." - Leona
"There was a legend that my mother once told me, about a prince who once killed the son of a woman, a friend of the prince who he was jealous of after having more luck with a girl he liked. The mother got her revenge by paying the services of an old priest who was said to be a demon in disguise, he used a curse that transformed the prince and his guards into snails, disappearing them forever in a misterious way. Just of remembering that gives me the chills." - Akari
"It is said that the demon disguised as a priest used a forbidden curse from the Ninth circle of hell called Nantaidōbutsu no noroi aka Curse of the Mollusk!" - Akari
"It is probably what she did on them." - Akari is shaken by what is happening to the rest
"Alright, we need to deactivate those bombs before finding a way to revert this!" - Leona
"I have an idea! You said is the blue cord, right? The one that we need to cut." - Akari
"Yes." - Leona
"Well them, lets get this done quick!" - Akari summons twelve strange goblin looking creatures
"Akari, can we know the reason for you to have summoned us? The twelve goblins from Makai!" - Says one of the goblins
"No time for explications, we need your help to search and disarm these bombs! There's eleven of them in the base! And the only way to stop them is cutting the blue cord." - Says Akari pulling out the bomb that Leona deactivated as the group of demon goblins move across the base
"Don't worry, Kaede. I will find a way to revert this." - Says Akari grabing Kaede's hand for the surprise that Akari isn't being affected by this
"Akari, is good to see you normal. You're not being affected by this?" - Says Kaede only talking with the right side of his mouth not transformed still
"Not yet, this aura around the body protects me and Leona from the effects but it won't last much, I need to find a way to revert this curse." - Akari
"Mizuki used the mirror of Yata somehow to create this. Are you sure it can't be reverted back?" - Athena
"I-I well I don't really know!" - Confesses Akari
"But I won't give up so easily, I'll find a way before everyone of us ends like this!" - Akari
Meanwhile
"Rakikikiki! In just a few more moments this entire structure will fly to the sky to bits, and what better place to get a good view of this than here." - Says Mizuki appearing meters away from the base seeing it on the horizon
"To think this would be so easy! I don't even need to do anything now. Victory belongs to me!" - Mizuki
"Huh!" - Mizuki feels something approaching her as she turns to see a big pillar of purple fire coming towards her
"WHAT?!" - Mizuki jumps avoiding the pillar, only for her to notice the attack from an sword coming close to her, she dodges the sword, only for another attack from a sword to approach towards her from her left
"Argh!" - Mizuki falls on the ground having dodged the three attacks with her recovering as from the dust cloud caused by the pillar of purple flames, three shadows can be seen approaching
"(No, I forgot about them!)" - Says Mizuki seeing Iori Yagami, Genjuro Kibagami and Moriya Minakata appear out of the cloud standing some meters in front of her
"..." - Mizuki
"So you were just pretending to be Kagura all this time." - Iori
"That's Mizuki Rashoujin, a damn demon who should had been erased from earth ages ago." - Genjuro
"Unlike whatever happened in your time, she won't survive this." - Moriya
"Hmph! So you three decided to team up against me? How cute, and here I thought you had abandoned your partners to their luck." - Mizuki
"What did you do to Kusanagi and the others?" - Moriya
"Hmm.. Not much, I turned them into snails and soon they are going to be blowed to pieces once the timer reaches zero." - Says Mizuki without biting her tongue
"And it seems I'll have to deal with you three personally." - Mizuki realizes the three aren't backing up from fighting with her. She smiles as she takes on her fighting stance
"Hehehe.. As fun as it would be to see that idiot being turned into a stupid snail, you really are delusional if you think I'll allow you to have the pleasure of killing that worm!" - Iori turns on his flames as the three men totally decided to fight with Mizuki run towards her
"Fine by me! You all can share the same fate of them! Three of you are nothing!" - Mizuki summons two shadows as she starts fighting with the three
Mizuki herself clashes her claws against Iori's flames with her dodging some slashes of Yagami, Yagami throws three yami barais at Mizuki as the herald of ambrosia dodges them she teleports behind Iori to strike him, with Iori stopping this attack as both struggle
"Now I see why Chizuru likes you!" - Says Mizuki using the tone of voice of Chizuru
"Shut the hell up!" - Iori
"Mizuki pushes Iori back, rising her right arm about to deliver a fatal blow when.
"..." - Mizuki's hand freezes in place as she becomes unable to move it
"(What?! My hand! I can't move it!)" - Mizuki is astonished by the lack of answer of her body
"(This can only mean one thing! NO! HOW?!)" - Mizuki thinks only to realize Yagami is about to punch her
"(WHAT?!)" - Mizuki tries to teleport herself but she is unable to do it
"ARGH!" - Mizuki is punched by Yagami who using all his anger punches her in a way that sends her flying rolling to the ground
"ARGH!" - Recovering Mizuki looks at her hands wondering what is going on
"Chizuru! You damn insect! You awakened?" - Whispers Mizuki getting up
Somewhere
In a dark place that looks like a rotten tree, in one of the branches a trapped Chizuru Kagura is seen having managed to break one of the branches that keep her in place, Chizuru sees the place where she is, the nightmarish void that has become her mind now controlled by Mizuki
"I must recover control of my body, I must!" - Chizuru tries to free her other arm from the branches
"KAGURA!" - For Kagura's surprise, in the large void that is her mind, the eyes of Mizuki appear watching her in this plane
"You managed to free a part of yourself, I must admit, compared to Bizuki you're starting to annoy me! Don't force me to get rid of you!" - Says Mizuki as from the tree more branches grow trying to capture Kagura
"AH!" - Chizuru tries to dodge the branches
"I won't allow you to keep hurting them!" - Screams Chizuru using her other arm to hit the branches
"Haven't you realized it! Your body is mine! I control every single one of your actions! Under all that tough appearence you're nothing but a scaredy little girl crying for mommy, daddy and big sister Maki! Pathetic excuse of a woman! The one who rules here is me!" - Mizuki
"SHUT UP! I'll get you out of my body!" - Chizuru
"Oh no you won't! You made a big mistake by getting rid of Bizuki! She was my dearest partner and now you will suffer for it. I'll kill every single one of your friends, and make you watch it. Starting with that red haired bastard who you love!" - Mizuki
Chizuru is surprised as two arms made of wood come out of the tree grabing her body with such a strong grip
*CRACK* - The arms grab Chizuru in the air and under Chizuru a large and sharp stake appears making the priestess of the Yata be nervous
"ARrgggG!" - Without hesitation, the two arms impale Chizuru's body to the stake.
"Oh stop crying! You're not going to die inside your own mind, but this should stop you from trying anything funny again!" - Mizuki
"Rakikiiki! Much better!" - Mizuki moves her right arm having recovered full control again
"That last punch wasn't that bad. But now, allow me to repair you the favour!" - Mizuki makes two giant worms come out of the ground with her throwing them at Yagami
"Maju!" - Moving her sleeve, Mizuki's demon dog appear launching against Yagami after this one easily burns the worms
"Argh!" - Yagami dodges the attacks of the demon
Dodging the attacks of the shadow of Mizuki, Genjuro quickly counters grabing Mizuki's by the neck and stabbing her in the chest.
"(Just a mere fake, but who could be the real one?)" - Genjuro looks at Moriya fighting against Mizuki but he realizes this one is also not that powerful as isn't summoning anything like the one who is fighting Yagami
"Ah! You think your pathetic cursed flames are going to hurt me? At the end of the day you're just another human! And me, I am a goddess!" - Screams Mizuki slashing Yagami three times giving him a cut in the cheek
Seeing Mizuki approaching to deal a fatal blow, Yagami tosses a flame in front of him. Only for Mizuki to vanish revealing to have been a shadow, the real Mizuki appears behind Yagami
