Kara was the first one up and was getting breakfast ready, During her time on Earth-X, she learned how to cook from Oliver. She left William and Oliver sleeping as she made a small breakfast to start their day. Oliver started making his way downstairs to see Kara cooking breakfast.
"You know that I would've made breakfast for you and William," Oliver said as he made his way into the kitchen.
"I know. I just couldn't sleep as well as I did before," Kara said before putting their breakfast down on the table.
"You shouldn't be lifting anything heavy," Oliver said, before taking the plates from her.
"I can manage, Oliver. It's nothing too heavy and shouldn't William be up to get ready for school," Kara said, grabbing some juice.
"I'll go and get him, just don't lift anything heavy while I'm upstairs," Oliver said, heading upstairs to wake his son up.
Kara went to sit and she took a deep breath. She felt so exhausted after the past five months of being cooped up in this house. She was just happy that this was her second to last trimester and the baby would make his appearance soon. Oliver made sure she took the serums for the baby and had a midwife check on the baby to see if it was healthy and if Kara wasn't overdoing anything to cause miscarriage or stress.
"You seem pale, Kara," William said.
"I'm okay, I just shouldn't be overworking myself with my second trimester," Kara said, about to get up.
"Here, let me help you up," Oliver said, walking into the kitchen all dressed up in his suit.
"You don't have to help me every time I struggle to get out of a chair or bed," Kara said, and Oliver chuckled.
"You'd be calling William or me to help you out anyway," Oliver said.
"You know me too well. I'm just waiting for my last trimester to hit so I can meet Tommy and get rid of this bump that's making it difficult for me to sleep more comfortably," Kara said, holding her stomach.
"Just a couple of months left, Kara. Then, you won't have to worry about another pregnancy," Oliver said.
"I know. Just being on maturity leave sucks because I have nothing to do besides relaxing and picking up William from school, which doesn't suck as much," Kara said as William snorted.
"Going to school sucks as much as I want to skip it and stay home. Dad won't allow it, he'll want me to be educated more than he was in college," William said.
"To be truthful you're father wasn't exactly paying attention in his classes because of females he was messing around with and dropped out of college like Sara did," Kara commented.
"How did you know that?" Oliver asked stunned.
"Just the knowledge of you and Sara not knowing anything scientific when it comes to Barry. And he explained those scientific words in English for you and Sara. Stein doing the same thing when he's with the Legends; science is never your long, and math too," Kara said, as Oliver raised an eyebrow.
"Flirting is what got me through college, and it worked until the Queen's Gambit, then I returned five years later to fix my father's wrongs," Oliver explained.
"Yeah, I graduated through college, I was smart because I was an alien from Krypton who had math already given to me. Doing Calculus at the age of four wasn't too bad; now I'm here running away from my former sister and the rest of my team," Kara said.
"Well, they haven't found us yet, and I'm pretty sure that my team is pissed off that I up and left before seeing them off," Oliver said, and Kara patted his back.
"You weren't going to return anyway until everything was settled down over here," Kara said.
"Yeah. When Tommy is here and right about one year old, I will visit my team and see how Barry is," Oliver explained.
"Good. You two shouldn't be late for school and work. Saving the city isn't going to do well by itself," Kara said, as Oliver and William quickly ate their breakfast.
William hurried up and caught the bus as Oliver was getting ready to head off the office, seeming he worked as CEO again and was doing a better job than staying focused on catching bad guys. Before Oliver left, he kissed Kara on the cheek and she smiled before handing him his lunch and his coffee.
"Just so your assistant is stressing over what you like in your coffee," Kara said.
"My assistant was you before I had to make sure I could find another one because my friend was carrying my doppelganger child," Oliver said as Kara smacked him.
"Very funny, just don't be late coming home for dinner. Don't even lie, I know you were patrolling the city to check if any criminals were causing a problem," Kara narrowed her eyes at him.
"Guilty. I'll be home just in time for dinner and make sure William does his homework after he gets off of school," Oliver said.
"I will. I do that every day when he comes home from school. You won't be too focused on anything else besides work. I don't need to visit and see you not into your job and trying to stop criminals," Kara said, pointing her finger against his chest.
"Yes ma'am. You should stop and have lunch with me. It's better than eating lunch with people you work with and trying to start a conversation with them," Oliver suggested.
"How about instead of the lunch I packed you, I will bring some Big Belly Burgers for the two of us to eat. And help my cravings I'm having due to your doppelganger's favorite food to eat," Kara said.
"Love the idea. Just don't overwork yourself too much. I don't need another call from the hospital, or the midwife about you stressing too much," Oliver said.
"I won't. Now, get out of here," Kara said, getting him out of the house.
Queen's Household
Kara was cleaning up around the house to keep her mind occupied as her friend, and William was busy with school and taking care of business. All she was hoping was that this baby would come soon so she could have her body back and be able to use her powers again.
It's been a few hours since they left, and William will be getting off of school soon she promised Oliver that she'll pick him up. If her pregnant butt can fit inside of her car without struggling.
As Kara made her way into the school pick-up zone, she saw that William was making his way to the car. She felt her baby kicking so much, and it was annoying to her that her child wasn't letting her relax for a bit.
"Hey, Kara. Did my dad tell you to pick me up?" William asked.
"I offered to pick you up because your dad seems to be tired from all those meetings he does, better than being the actual Mayor again," Kara joked.
"Yeah. Are you and my dad ever gonna date each other?" William asked, and Kara froze.
"No, Oliver and I are just friends. I'm pretty sure the job he works at many women are throwing themselves at him," Kara said.
"Oh, it's just that my dad seems happier when he's around you," William explained.
"If there was anything to happen between Oliver and me, like actual feelings between us, I would act on them and tell him how I feel about him," Kara said.
"Really?" William asked.
"Yep. As for right now Oliver and I are just friends who are raising a baby together," Kara said, as they turned on their street.
"It seems like my father is home early," William said, noticing his father's vehicle in the driveway.
"Maybe, he brought a date home early for us to meet," Kara said, joking before they made their way out of the car.
They walked up to the door and walked into the house and she saw a the midwife sitting and talking with Oliver. She knew that he was worried about her and wanted the best doctor for her, but it was gonna be hard to hide her powers away from actual doctors instead of her sister.
"Hey Kara, this is the midwife I was talking about," Oliver said, walking over to Kara.
"Nice to meet you. I would totally shake your hand and be included in this meeting. I'm just tired and exhausted, babies instead to suck the energy out of you," Kara said and the midwife understood.
"That's what we wanted to discuss with you and your husband. It's best that we put you on bed rest until your baby is here," Midwife suggested for them.
"We're not married," They both say together.
"Let's just say that we're just friends that are having a baby together," Kara said.
"Okay. It seems your friend send your blood work over to us and it seems like your not on your second trimester," Midwife said, and Kara looked confused.
"I'm pretty sure that I'm in my second trimester. I know when I have sex with guys and I check my calendar to make sure when I miss my period," Kara said.
"Yes, of course. It seems you hit your third trimester already and by the looks of it, it seemed you aren't in the second trimester range by how many weeks you are right now," Midwife said and Kara realized it now.
"You're right. I'm sorry I guess I miscalculated by how many weeks I am. Thank you for your time. I should really get some rest for the baby," Kara said and walked upstairs.
"Thank you," Oliver said and stared at Kara in confusion.
Oliver let the midwife out and went to go and check on Kara to see her looking through her calendar and saw her eyes realized something. Kara looked up and saw Oliver standing by the doorway and knew that he was confused about the discussion with the midwife.
"Me and Oliver decided to not wait until marriage because we sort of hit it off and fell for each other. We used red sunlight to dampener my powers, it was stupid of us because we weren't allowed to fully conceive before our wedding, it's a rule on Earth-X," Kara explained. "After that night, we just pretended that we didn't sleep with each other and we got married and celebrated our marriage, then weeks after I found out that I was pregnant." She said.
"You never told me any of that. Kara your about close to giving birth soon. We promised each other no more secrets from each other," Oliver said.
"I know. I just didn't want to believe that I'm more than I said I was. I felt like I wasn't really in my second trimester, but I didn't want to believe it at first," Kara explained.
"It's okay. Next time I just tell me everything because I'm in your care now," Oliver said.
"Well, I should be thankful. It's not that I didn't trust you, it's just I didn't want to believe I was in my third trimester because of my weight and size," Kara said and looked down.
"Hey, you look beautiful and that will never change. Once your pregnancy is over and done with, you get to have your body back and be a Kryptonian," Oliver said.
"I thought about that and I will use the yellow sun to heal, but I don't know being Supergirl, or an alien again. After what my sister did, I don't know if I want to hear the word 'Kryptonian'. It's not anything bad about it, it's just what my sister said about aliens to me before I went dark side," Kara explained to Oliver.
"I understand. I was the same way when my best friend called me a killer. This will pass by the mean time, can I at least make you some dinner?" Oliver asked.
"How about we just order in? I love your cooking, but the baby is craving some Chinese food," Kara said.
"If the baby wants that kind of food, then he'll get some of that food. We do need to go shopping before the baby comes," Oliver said.
"Absolutely right, how about tomorrow we all take the day off and find stuff for the baby. William should chip in because he is sort of gonna be a big brother to Tommy," Kara said.
"Yeah. Tommy is gonna be here sooner than we think and it's just good to be prepared before that happens," Oliver said and Kara agreed.
They heard the doorbell and Kara perked up and Oliver laughed.
"The food must be here, I'll go get it," Kara suggested and Oliver shook his head.
"No, I'll go get it because you're on bed rest and I also don't want you carrying those heavy bags off food upstairs," Oliver said and walked out of her bedroom.
Kara sat against the bedframe and smiled at Oliver being overprotective. She shook her head of the thought of being into Oliver Queen after all gotten herself married and pregnant with his doppelganger baby.
She heard him coming up the steps and quickly tapped her cheeks to get Oliver out of her mind. Kara wasn't sure what brought her feelings on about Oliver Queen, but she wanted them out because she already dealt with one Oliver, she just doesn't need to get involved with another one.
Oliver walked in with two separate bags of Chinese food and the other with some drinks for the two of them. "I ordered some drinks along with our food. You have juice and I got myself some beer." He said.
"So lucky. I want to drink a beer also if I wasn't pregnant at the moment," Kara huffed in annoyance.
"Come on, just few more weeks then your able to start drinking," Oliver said and Kara nodded her head.
"Okay, let's just enjoy the rest of our night and watch a movie," Kara said, taking out all of their food.
They enjoyed their dinner with each other as William was sleeping in the next room. Oliver felt happy that his son was getting the life he deserved. No more being the Green Arrow and being the Mayor, he finally felt at peace and focusing on being a father first.
After dinner, Oliver headed to his bedroom after cleaning up and helping Kara to bed, she fell asleep throughout the movie and helped her under the covers.
Oliver knew that it was wrong for developing feelings for Kara after splitting from Felicity not that long, but Kara made him feel things that Felicity never made him feel. She was different from Felicity and she went through the same pain that he went through and dealt with darkness. He wants to pursue Kara and make her his official girlfriend, but he doesn't know how she feels about after being married to a Nazi and destroying parts of Earth-1.
He notices the changes that Kara has been going through and he's helping her get back to the old Kara Danvers, but not the same one that the Danvers adopted when she crashed landed with the help of her cousin. Kara said she didn't want to go back to the old Kara Danvers who was an assistant and focused on writing articles of aliens and how Earth-38 is not the same with all these villains coming and threatening Supergirl.
Kara didn't want to return to Earth-38 and be Supergirl anymore. She felt that Supergirl was vulnerable after losing her ex-boyfriend and finding out he was married. She wants to be the Kara that her Oliver wanted to be and fight for herself and their child's. She was trying to hide her feelings about Oliver from him because she didn't think she'll ever be ready to move on after losing her husband five months ago.
They both had a lot of thoughts running through their minds about their feelings towards each other. Oliver and Kara just needed to figure out if their ready to take that next step and ruin their friendship and turn it into a real relationship. They just didn't want to hurt each other if things don't work out because their friendship means the world to them and not having things be awkward towards each other.
They both had a lot to go through to find out what they really want. Oliver didn't want William to think he was replacing Felicity or Samantha, he just wanted things to be different after how many relationships he went through that didn't last long with his vigilante side, but he didn't have to worry anymore about dressing up as Green Arrow anymore.
