The Next Morning...
Kara woke up and felt her lying against a warm body and saw that she was lying against Oliver. She was shocked to see they ended up in this position after eating pizza last night and watching TV. She felt Oliver move and rest his hand on her stomach as he felt the baby moving around.
He immediately opened his eyes when he felt the baby kick and Kara knew that her son was up and moving around already. They just lay there as Oliver was stroking her stomach as they relaxed.
"I'm guessing you can feel the baby moving around," Kara said
"He's up and active already. I was just resting my hand on your stomach, and he started kicking," Oliver said, and Kara nodded her head.
"He likes you already and probably thinks you're the father because you have the same voice as his biological father," Kara said and Oliver agreed.
"Well, the midwife did say you are close to giving birth any minute," Oliver said, and Kara sighed.
"I thought I was ready to have him in my arms, but I'm afraid to give birth," Kara said, and Oliver held her not so tight.
"I'll be right by your side when you give birth. We agreed to do this together, and I'll help you keep him safe," Oliver said, and Kara nodded.
"I know. It's just I guess you can say that I'm nervous to be a mom. I've been dreaming of becoming a mother, and it's coming true," Kara said, and Oliver held her hand.
"Don't worry too much. It's not good for you to stress this much about the baby," Oliver said and Kara nodded her head.
Kara knew that they had to get up, but she stayed there, lying down on the couch with Oliver. He didn't mind the fact she was laying against him and she didn't seem to mind that his hand was caressing her stomach. They had feelings for each other but never told each other, and having to hide their feelings is making it difficult for them.
Oliver felt as if they were meant for each other and how well they fit in each other's arms. Kara was so used to being alone, and now in her husband's dopplegänger arms, she felt like home to him,r, and maybe it wouldn't be so bad being into Oliver Queen.
"I've always wondered what our friends are up to?" Kara asked, wondering about their friends.
"Probably just trying to save their city and still deal with the loss of a friend and another friend who decided to leave Star City," Oliver said.
"It's not my fault that I faked my death; it was just for Alex and J'onn to believe I was dead and have that guilt of not trusting me or believing in me to stop some Worldkillers," Kara said.
"I know. Let's just wait for a while until we return to Star City and Central City," Oliver suggested for them to wait a bit more.
"I just can't keep thinking about Barry and how he's dealing with the loss of his friend and you leaving Star City," Kara said and Oliver nodded.
"Dealing with it, however, he deals with the loss of one of his teammates whenever they die and if they disappear to give their son a better life," Oliver said, and Kara nodded her head.
All Kara did was rest her hand on top of his as he held her stomach. They felt the baby moving around and just relaxed on the couch, not having to think about all the things she'd done and trying to move past the pain she caused in her friends and Clark.
Central City: S.T.A.R. Labs
All Team Flash can think about is to take on Devoe without having Barry there. Being framed for killing Clifford Devoe can ruin everything you worked so hard for. The team and Legends tried to help with whatever they could without having Kara and Oliver there. It made everything so hopeless.
Sara felt guilty about sleeping with Alex after learning the truth about what her team did to Kara. She felt bad for Kara and that her sister betrayed her and her boss didn't believe in her to take down some Worldkillers. They look around the room, just seeing it is not the same without Kara and Oliver's involvement.
They knew that Oliver probably felt guilty for not helping Kara enough and fled Star City for a fresh start; the thing is that their whole team didn't know that Kara was alive and Oliver was keeping her safe and hidden from everyone. They want to send out a message to Oliver and tell them everything they're dealing with, and hopefully, he'll return.
Diggle knew that Oliver would keep his word even if it meant keeping William safe from Star City or anywhere not near any danger. They told the team about Oliver's goodbye letter and felt sad that she didn't get to say goodbye to her brother. She knew that he needed a break and he took it by leaving Star City with William to be able to give him a better future or at least a better life.
Somewhere in Central City Jail Cell, Barry sits there thinking about everything that happened the past month that led to him going to jail for something he never did. He thought of Kara and probably thought she was disappointed in him for getting involved with a genius who was trying to make him suffer. He missed Kara and Oliver so much and wished he could see them, but Oliver left Star City, and Kara was gone.
Earth-38: Somewhere in Smallville
Clark was just looking at his farmhouse and thought about his cousin and wondered if she was at peace. He felt guilty for not being there for his cousin or at least close to her after adopting her to the Danvers family. He felt that was his biggest mistake, giving her to the Danvers; he just felt if he had taken her in, maybe she wouldn't have caused an invasion and married a Nazi Fuehrer.
He just felt lost now that his cousin wasn't in this world anymore. He helped her team take down Reign and the rest of the Worldkillers, but after that, he lost contact with Jimmy and everyone his cousin was associated with. He announced that Supergirl died protecting her city and he'll do everything in his power to keep National City safe. He also lied that Kara Danvers died in a car accident and went on about how she loved her career as a reporter and helping her city find justice for stopping criminals from corrupting her city.
He met his aunt for the first time and had to tell Alura that Kara died from solar radiation on another Earth. He felt that he failed her by not saving her fast enough. Alura planned a funeral ceremony for her daughter and felt devastated about losing her daughter. Clark assured his aunt that she was always on Kara's mind and she wanted to at least find a piece of their planet still alive.
Earth-1: Bali
Oliver said by Kara's side through the whole day and made sure she at least ate good food before she hit her final due date. They've been living in Bali under different identification, but still used Oliver and Kara because no one seemed to know them. He got them a disclosed house where it's away from other houses just to be safe in case anyone or their team couldn't find them.
He made sure to stay hidden so that even Felicity couldn't track them. He wanted Kara to get a fresh start as well as his son; they both deserve that after losing Samantha and being betrayed by someone who was like family to her.
Oliver decided to take a month off to help Kara out with the baby when he arrived; he felt it was his responsibility to take care of Kara and to keep her and Tommy safe. They didn't know if the team will be happy to find out Kara was alive or be pissed that she wasn't dead as they thought she was.
Oliver and Kara were getting used to each other and William seemed to like Kara with his father. Things have been hectic since William found Kara and Oliver in a comfortable position on the couch in the morning. They don't even know what they're doing; Kara believes she doesn't deserve love because of everything she did and how many people she hurt.
Oliver wants to come out and confess to Kara about the feelings he's been feeling ever since the Dominators invaded Earth-1, and he hasn't been able to get her out of his mind since then. He dated Felicity by then, but it felt wrong to keep dating her if he was in love with someone else, so they broke up a couple of weeks before the wedding. Now, finding out Kara went dark side made him do the unthinkable and create a Kryptonite arrow.
Now, Kara's afraid that their friends are gonna find out she's alive and possibly contact her sister and take her back to her Earth and face consequences for trying to take over another Earth with her Nazi husband.
They were enjoying the day inside their house and Kara felt like she was being locked indoors and couldn't at least enjoy some fresh air. She knew that Oliver was just protecting her in case anything went wrong and the team found them.
Kara was lying in bed as she looked at the ceiling before she heard a small knock and Oliver peaked his head in and saw Kara looking up at the ceiling. He walked over and sat next to her on the bed as the both of them stared at the ceiling together.
"Does the ceiling find you fascinating?" Oliver joked.
"Probably; I just wondered every time if my sister didn't betray me, would I be able to have a child still?" Kara asked and Oliver stared at her.
"Probably or probably not, but that doesn't mean you don't have to try and live a life not only as Supergirl. Someone on your team is always meant to betray you because I always had so many people betray me," Oliver said, resting his hand on her stomach.
"I never wanted this invasion, but seeing Alex with my friends and my team made me angrier, and I decided to make her feel the same way she did. I have so much blood on my hands from everything I had to do to keep myself alive on Earth-X," Kara said, looking at Oliver.
"It's not your fault. Alex and J'onn betrayed you and you did anything any of us would've done to get back at them. I would've done it, but Barry would just not trust you and kick you out of his life forever," Oliver said as he stroked her stomach.
"I just want to be able to see my friends again and just apologize for everything that I've done. I know them knowing me dead should be good, but how long would it be before Felicity or Cisco find out where you live and that I'm alive," Kara said as she stroked his cheek.
"Let's worry about that after the baby comes; you shouldn't have this on your mind. It's not good for you or the baby," Oliver said as he looked at her.
Kara just relaxed as Oliver was rubbing her stomach before she felt a kick again and knew that her son was up already. Oliver smiled at her, and she knew that he felt the kick, too; they just felt like a family, and she sort of liked it. She didn't want to tell Oliver that she fell in love with him after the invasion that Barry called for everyone.
"I wanna ask you something, and if I do, just don't turn me down automatically. Just think about it, okay?" Oliver asked Kara and she nodded her head.
"How would you feel going to dinner with me? Just the two of us?" Oliver asked.
"Like a date?" Kara asked, nervously.
"Yeah, but it can also be us hanging out as friends as well if you want," Oliver said and Kara chuckled.
"Yes, Oliver. I would love to go to dinner with you," Kara said and Oliver smiled at her.
Kara chuckled at his antics of nervousness about asking her out on a date. Oliver felt at ease when she accepted and hoped she'd feel the same when he revealed his feelings about her at dinner, too.
"Tomorrow, we'll go out. I'll take us somewhere that's not too crowded because it's safer for you and the baby," Oliver said and Kara smiled at his protectiveness.
"Let's just hope tomorrow Tommy can hold on for us while we're out to eat," Kara said and rubbed her stomach.
"He's been kicking a lot lately, You're probably close to your due date," Oliver said as he rested his hand on top of hers.
"Yeah, I'm just hoping we can at least make it through dinner without interruptions," Kara said and Oliver looked at her.
"Look on the bright side, you're gonna be a mom, and you're able to get out of the house," Oliver said, and Kara looked happy.
"Wait. If I do have Tommy then who's gonna watch him and William at the same time?" Kara asked Oliver.
"You know I brought Raisa with us, and she can keep an eye on William and Tommy while we're working," Oliver said and Kara was unsure about leaving Tommy alone.
"I don't know. I trust you and whoever you hire, but what if he needs me, and I'm there," Kara said, looking over at Oliver.
"If you need a little longer break to be there for Tommy until he's at least old enough, you can be there. I'm not gonna try and take you away from him," Oliver said, and Kara chuckled.
"I'm pretty sure that you said that you'll help me take care of him, and if I'm on a break, that means you're gonna have to be there, big guy," Kara said, and Oliver smiled at her.
"How about this? Me and you don't return for work for at least a month then we can have Raisa take care of him from there," Oliver asked.
"That's fair. I just want to be there for Tommy if anything happens. I'm just afraid that your team is gonna find out where you are and wanna hurt my son," Kara said and Oliver understood he worries.
"I understand, and don't worry about it because we have good security that even Cisco Ramon won't know how to hack," Oliver said, and Kara chuckled.
"What about your ex-girlfriend?" Kara asked Oliver.
"Look, I'll handle everything, and if I wanted to be gone, my team will understand and make sure that I'll stay hidden," Oliver said, and Kara nodded her head.
"Okay, I trust you," Kara said and Oliver intertwine their hands together.
"I won't let anyone hurt you ever again; if we lost you, all I know is that Barry and I would feel guilty for not saving you fast enough," Oliver said, and Kara nodded.
"Ollie, you did save me and you gave me the best life that I could ever ask for," Kara said as she laid her head on his shoulder.
He looked down at her and kissed her forehead before covering her in the blanket. Oliver lightly put her head down on her pillow before he could get up, he felt a tug on his arm and saw that Kara was holding his arm.
"Stay with me," Kara said, and Oliver lay next to her.
Oliver got under the covers with her, and she laid her head on his chest, and all Oliver could do was hold her closer to him. He felt his heart racing when Kara was laying her head on his chest and was hoping she couldn't hear how her being close to him was making his heart race.
In Kara's mind, she was mentally freaking out how close she got to Oliver. She could hear Oliver's heart racing and wondered did he felt the same way about her. Everything that happened these past months was great because she felt protected by Oliver and thought he was a good father.
They both felt butterflies holding each other closer and wondered if they were feeling the same way the other person was feeling; Oliver knew she was going through a lot with the betrayal of her sister and boss. He wanted her to know that he'd protect her through it all and stand by her side through everything.
He wants a future with Kara and gives her the best life, even if it means keeping their team out of it, even if it means cutting Barry out of their lives too. All he knows is that he likes Kara and wants to support her through everything and help her raise his dopplegänger baby.
Kara trusts Oliver, and she knows that he'll do anything in his power to keep her son safe. She wants to contact Barry and tell him that she's alive, but Oliver is right to keep her hidden and safe from their old team. To protect her and Tommy, that's what she liked about him, and how she felt impressed by his fighting skills when they handled the Dominators.
In their minds, they knew that they could handle anything if they were together, and Oliver would make sure that all of them were safe and sound from anyone from her Earth. All Kara is hoping is that Alex and J'onn don't know she's alive because if it comes to it, she'll have to handle her sister and take down the person she thought she could trust in her life and who her cousin could trust too.
Clark was always in her mind, and she wondered if he was okay, if he was moving on and starting a new life with Lois. She also wanted to see him or at least listen to his voice again, she missed him so much and felt guilty about faking her death to protect her and her child. She misses home and always predicted that if Krypton didn't explode, she would still be living the best life.
Smallville: The Kent Farm
Clark looked up at the stars and felt sad and guilty that he couldn't save his cousin from dying. He felt this rage over his body, but towards Alex and J'onn, he blamed them for his cousin's death. He knew leaving her with the Danvers was his biggest mistake and should have raised her himself to help her manifest her powers.
He wondered if she was alive and hiding herself away from Alex and J'onn. Clark wanted to check for himself if his cousin was dead, but he knew she was dead because of the explosion when he flew her up into space. He also knew that Eliza wasn't too pleased about the truth of what Alex did and closed herself off from her daughter.
When the news went out that Supergirl was dead, everyone in National City lost faith and called out for their hero, but they never got any sign that their hero was coming for them and to protect them. The president even wondered where Supergirl was and D.E.O. was questioned about her whereabouts and confirmed that Supergirl was gone and she was never coming back.
Superman handled the Worldkillers but got hurt in the process, and Kara's ex-boyfriend helped Clark regain consciousness from the coma that Reign put him into. Lois stayed by his side and stayed far away from Alex and J'onn, they knew Lois was pissed off at them for hurting Kara and taking the only family Clark had left.
Clark kept looking up at the stars and prayed that his cousin was resting and finally at peace with his parents. He found out that Kara's mother was alive and felt that he should be the one to tell her that Kara didn't make it and she was a hero. He wanted his cousin back and felt proud of the woman she became before she lost her life just getting back what was taken from her.
Over in Bali
Kara was still up looking at the ceiling and promising herself when it was time to reveal that she was still alive; if anyone tried to put her down, she would fight back to protect her family, even if it meant hurting the friends she made while helping them take down the Dominators.
She closed her eyes and felt Oliver hold her and felt safe in his arms. He opened his eyes and stared at Kara for a few seconds before shutting them and promising himself he'd do anything to protect Kara and his family if it meant betraying the team he trusted his life with and Barry.
Oliver and Kara would protect each other from anything happening to their family; William and Tommy were their priority, and they would do anything in their power to keep them safe. They'll do anything to keep them out of harm's way, even if it means taking down everyone they trusted. Although betrayal is painful, safeguarding the well-being of those you care about is the top priority.
