Ronnie Anne and Duchess Satine were walking towards a the town square with four guards two on each side of them " So tell me Ronnie Anne what do you and your friends intend to do once Kenobi's Padawan is healed? Satine asked her. Ronnie Anne was caught off guard by this but she decided to answer. " Were going back to the Temple I think they called it and then were going home only one staying is Lincoln." Ronnie Anne tells Satine.
Satine only nods as she keeps her eyes forward " I see but you wish for him to return with you and the others" Satine says to Ronnie Anne who only looks down. " I myself had known such feelings" Satine says to Ronnie Anne.
" Wait you have?" Ronnie Anne asks the Duchess who simply nods " Although I knew he had shared the same feeling for me as I did for him. His dedication to his cause and to the others required that he'd be else were" Satine says to Ronnie Anne. A Look of Sadness appeared over her face have to have brought such memories that brought her back to her younger days when she had meet a young Jedi Padawan.
Ronnie Anne could see the hurt in her eyes just as Ronnie Anne was a bout to speak one of her guards ran up towards " Excuse me Duchess" the guard said to them " Yes what is it?" Satine asked.
" we had just received word from the hospital the boy is awake" the guard said this shocked both of them " Take us to the hospital qucikly" Satine ordered.
Mean while
Lori and the others were walking towards the temporary living quarters. " Well here we are" Korkie said as they entered the apartment building " So what are we going to do now?" Lori asked him " Well -" Korkie was about to answer her until some cleared there throat getting everyone's attention.
They turned to see the Prime minister walking towards them. " Prime minister Almec is something the matter?" Korkie as the prime minister. " No I have just come inform the Jedi's siblings that there brother has woken up at the hospital" Almec said getting everyone's attention.
" What!?" They all shouted catching both him and Korkie off guard.
At the Hospital
Ronnie Anne and Duchess Satine were being escorted by the her guards as they approached the room Lincoln was in they could see the doctor and nurse exit " Doctor" Satine said getting's the doctors attention " Ah Duchess I didn't expect you to come so quickly" the doctor said to the Duchess " Well this is a very delicate situation Doctor
Ronnie and Duchess Satine were walking towards the patient room. They reach the room as they do the doctor is seen leaving with a nurse behind him. " Doctor" Duchess Satine said getting his attention. " Duchess Satine I wasn't expecting you to be here so soon" the Doctor said to Satine " Yes well this is a very important matter " Satine said to the Doctor.
" How's Lincoln is he okay? Is he Awake? Can I see him?" Ronnie Anne asked the doctor. " Well yes Your friend But I'm afraid it May take some time for him to heal but he is awake of you would like to see him " The Doctor said to them " Thank you Doctor" Satine said. The doctor and the nurse soon walk away As Satine And Ronnie Anne enter the room.
Forty Minutes earlier
Lincoln slowly opens his eyes to see a doctor and a nurse in front of him " What happened were am I?" Lincoln asked as he looked around. The doctor placed his hand on Lincoln's Shoulder " Easy there my young friend you need to rest you've been through a lot" the doctor said as he sat next to him " Where am I?" Lincoln asked the doctor
" Your are in Sundari Manadlore's Capital. Your sisters and friends brought you here to Mandalore to help you get medical treatment" The Doctor said to him. " My sisters My friends are they here were are they!?" Lincoln asked the doctor as attempted to get up. But was stopped by the doctor and nurse " Not so fast my young friend" the doctor said " Your sisters and Friends are fine they went to see the prime minister and the duchess" the Doctor said to Lincoln.
Hearing this calmed Lincoln's nerves as he let a sigh of relief " How long before they can see me or before I can leave?" Lincoln asked the doctor " The Bacta Treatment we used to heal your wounds worked pretty well so hopefully you should be able to leave by tomorrow morning " the doctor said. He turns to the nurse " Nurse please notify the guards and have them inform the Duchess that the Jedi Padawan is awake" The doctor said " Right away doctor" the nurse says as she exits the room.
Present time
Lincoln is sitting up in the hospital bed looking at the a data pad that was there to keep his mind occupied. He then hears the door open and looks up from the data pad to see Ronnie Anne and a women who he assumed must have the duchess of Mandalore " Ronnie Anne-" Before Lincoln could say anything else Ronnie Anne Rushes over and hugs him.
This caught Lincoln of guard but he soon returns the hug. Duchess Satine watches from the doorway and smiles this sight brought her back to a time from when she was younger and she had me a Young Jedi. The Two break the hug and Ronnie Anne Looks at Lincoln " Are you okay what did the doctor say?" Ronnie Anne asks her friend
" the doctor said I should be able to leave tomorrow but I'm hoping I can leave a lot sooner I don't really want to stay here all night" Lincoln said to her. This caused Ronnie Anne to chuckle a little " Oh believe me I know how you feel" Ronnie Anne said this caused them both to laugh.
Clearing her throat duchess Satine enters the room the room getting there attention " I hope you are doing alright young jedi" Satine said to him as she walks into the room " I'm doing much better now thank you your highness" Lincoln said with a slight bow.
" Oh Please there is no need for formalities" Satine said as she walked in a little further " I just hope for your recovery young Jedi " Satine said to Lincoln. Just then a guard entered the room " Excuse me your highness Nut it appears the Jedi's Sister's are here and are very eager to see him" The guard said to Duchess Satine. " Well then let's not keep them waiting longer then they have to let them in" Satine said to the guard who nodded then exited the room. Then the only thing that was heard was the sound of mass footsteps coming closer.
" LINCOLN!" the sisters and friends shouted as they entered the room and made there way to the him " Guys!" Lincoln says as he looks at them with relief in his eyes seeing that they were okay.
As they began to talk Satine smiled at this sight seeing siblings and friends talk to one of there own as they had filled the hospital room. Satine felt it was wise to inform the republic about the Young Jedi's status as so she leaves the room leaving the group to talk among themselves.
Venator Class Star Destroyer Resolute
Anakin Skywalker Obi Wan Kenobi and Ashsoka Tano were on the bridge of the Warship looking over the holo map Charts " We should close to Arriving to Mandalore in at least an Hour or so let's hope Lincoln's Condition isn't as bad as the Duchess Reported it" Anakin said to his former master and Ahsoka.
" Let's hope your right" Obi Wan said as he placed his hand on his chin that caught Anakin's Attention " something on your mind Master?" Anakin Asked Obi Wan. " Yes it about how they Escaped from General Grievous" Obi Wan said to Anakin. " Your thinking it was all planed from the start?" Anakin asked him.
" No It's not that" Obi Wan said.
" Then what is it?" Anakin asked. " Back on Dantooine when we felt movement in the force around the time Lincoln and the others escaped" Obi wan Said to His former student. " Master are you saying that one of Lincoln's siblings or at least his friends has a connection to the force like him?" Ahsoka asked Obi Wan. " That is my theory yes" Obi wan said to Ahsoka.
" But that can't be possible Lincoln's family and friends are from the Uknown Regions. And Lincoln is the only one that has a connection to the Force" Anakin said to his former master. " while you are right it could be that one of the protective suits that Lincoln's Family and friends wore were wasn't properly sealed and once they had come through it must have allowed them to sense and use the force" Obi Wan said.
" Even if that was possible Master how are we going to know for certain if that's even possible?" Ahsoka asked Obi Wan. " We'll have to discuss that with Lisa Loud " Obi Wan said to her " Lisa you mean Lincoln's younger sister?" Anakin asked him. " Yes despite her age she was able to create a device that can transport one being form one location to another without use of any form of modern transportation" Obi wan said to Anakin.
Just as Ahsoka was about to say something the doors to the bridge opened to reveal Captain Rex and Commander Cody " Cody Rex Is something the matter?" Obi wan asked " No sir but the Loud's mainly Mrs. Loud is getting restless and wishes to know when we will arrive to Mandalore" Cody said to Obi Wan.
" Hmm tell miss Loud that we will be there soon" Obi wan said to the two Clone officers " Right away Sir" Captain Rex said as he and Cody turn to leave and exit the bridge. " Well I guess that's another problem were gonna have to deal with" Ahsoka said to the two Jedi Knights. Knowing that trying to talk to Rita loud that another one of her children was able to have a connection to the Force wasn't going to part with her child that easily.
" Yes while that is true but lucky for us one of us is good at negotiating with people"Anakin said as he looked towards his former master "Oh how lucky Am I" Obi wan said to his former student who smiled
Mean while on the Barracks most of the rescue Lincoln group were resting soundly while some of the younger ones were talking among themselves the only one who wasn't with them was Maria Santiago who was in the infirmary looking over medical supplies with some help of the medical droid on board the ship. Maria being the only one who has been in the medical field before knew that she needed to be on top of the medical supplies that were need for the troops on board.
" Excuse me Nurse Santiago" the medical Droid said getting maria's attention " Yes what is it?" She asked the droid " I believe you need to rest over working yourself can cause many complications and can also interfere with your duties when we would need to attend to the troop" the medical droid said to nurse Santiago.
" No I'm quiet alright but thank you for your concern" Maria said to the droid. " well that's a shocker" a voice said getting Maria's attention this caused her to turn her head and see Fives standing in the door way. " Fives what are you doing here ?" Maria asked the clone trooper while at the same time Happy to see him once more. " oh I was heading over towards the the firing range and the Infirmary was on my way past it" Fives said as he walked into the Infirmary.
Maria was doing the best she could to keep her cool trying not to look nervous in front of him.
" Do you want me to show you where the others are?" He asked her " Oh No no thank you I know my way around Thank you fives" Maria said as she quickly walked past him leaving the ARC trooper confused. Maria was leaning against a wall trying to catch her breath as she felt her heat beat that was beating fast then begin to slow down.
With the Rescue Lincoln group kids were sitting at a table playing goldfish while the teens were talking among themselves " Do you think there alright?" Jackie asked them hoping that Lori, Leni and the others were okay " Of courser there okay and besides Lincoln's with them if anything they all probably escaped with out a scratch" Miguel said to her.
Just then the doors open to reveal Cody and Rex who had there helmets under there arms " Mrs.s Loud" Captain Rex said getting the Loud's mother attention. " Yes Captain Rex?" Rita asks the Clone Captain " General Kenobi reports that we will be arriving soon to Mandalore" Rex told Rita " Thank you Captain that makes feel a little bit better.
Rita was a nervous wreck along with everyone else but when they had gotten word that Lincoln and the others had escaped from the Droid General and where now on there way to pick them up on another planet.
" well at least we get to see Lincoln and others again" Liam said to the teenagers who nodded in agreement.
Elsewhere
Albert was sitting alone in the mess hall looking at a photo of his time in Vietnam along whit his friend and others who he meet in boot camp and very few made it back. He let out a sigh as he looked his cup of water and took a drink from it talking about his time in the War and then having to grab a gun used by soldiers from space and fight for his life as well as his family brought back memories of the war he was in.
As he sat in the mess hall alone until he heard the doors open he turns his head to Ahsoka Tano walking " Oh Hello I wasn't expecting to see anyone in here" she said to the elderly man " Oh yeah just wanted to clear my head was all" Albert said as looked he looked at her for a brief second and then back at the photo that was in his hand. Ahoska notices the picture that he was holding it was much different from pictures see had seen before for one it was a piece of paper not on a holo pad that most clones and other Jedi would use two she notice how he looked at it.
He looked back at the picture rubbing his thumb over Johnny with sadness. Ahoska saw this and walked over she was close enough to see the picture he was holding. It was him when he was younger but also other young men who wore what looked like military uniforms " you were a soldier?' Ahsoka asked him " Yeah but it's something I don't really like to talk about" Albert said to her.
Ahsoka was able to recognize the tone in his voice it was tone she would her from master Skywalker when he wouldn't want to talk about his past " I understand but I also wanted to inform you that were approaching Mandalore so you'll see you family soon." Ahsoka said to him and then turn to exit the mess hall.
Albert didn't even say goodbye to her as he kept his focus on the picture before him for some reason a feeling came a feeling he hasn't felt since his days in Vietnam.
