Prompt! (Boom) The team have to dress up as performers to a huge parade that is passing through the Village, and Eggman is planning to ruin it. Suddenly, the team gets split up by all the chaos, and Sonic and Amy are stuck on the biggest and most vibrant float of all. As they're getting closer to Eggman's float, Sonic gets distracted by Amy's rather.."revealing" costume. (but you know, kinda like Jasmine with shorts, KID FRIENDLY HERE) Probably not canon xD DUDE, CAN YOU MAKE ONE OF THEM DANCE?!

Lol, I can't do anything about describing what she's 'wearing' but I can say it looked good :)
I did they performing before, but I think I can twist this a bit and make it just like you wanted it! :D
And of course they can dance, but in acrobatic ways like they do in Disneyland's parades on the floats XD I'll do my best to impress! (I'll try and make it canon too, but if Sonic gets 'distracted' by Amy then it's not canon. Sorry :( -he's just not that kind of guy -shurg-)
(I saw this and though, eh, good enough xD -IT'S ACTUALLY CLOSE TO HOW I PICTURED EGGMAN'S 'disguise' TO BE! :DDD-)
"HOHOHHO! Welcome to Mr. E-M's spectacular parade!" Eggman, disguising himself as a show-runner, covered his red cape over himself before dramatically and stylishly flinging it out to the sides to show off his sparkly attire. His mustache disguised as a bow and his attire much like a showy performer, he spun a cane around and banged it on a button below him, grinning evilly as his beady glasses gleamed. "Heh, those fools don't even know what kind of show they're REALLY in for… As long as Sonic and those little pests of his are distracted, I can take over this village like the Trojan horse!" he had said to himself, as the parade advanced into the village.
Sonic and the gang had already caught on to Eggman's scheme and knew it was him, and actually took out robots and put on circus like disguises to perform, making their way to Eggman's float….
Sonic adjusted his tie as Amy finished the clown and 'mad hatter' look on his face and clothes. "And now, the main event!" he sneered. Sonic rushed up to the front of the float, getting to the highest point, and jumping into a spin, landing with only one hand on the tip. The audienced 'woo'd as he pointed his feet up, wobbled slightly for dramatic effect, before spreading his legs out and sticking his tongue out to the crowd and pulling his eyelid down tauntingly at the robot trying to do tricks in front of him.
The crowd cheered, as the robots jolted and started trying to out-perform Sonic.
While Sonic distracted the robots, Tails ran the float by pedaling on a unicycle and juggling, trying to distract the folks from his tails, which were driving the float on course.
Knuckles did some flips on the lower levels, as he did some dance moves with Sonic too, adding to distraction.
Then, Tails clicked a button that opened the tip where Sonic just was up, revealing Amy, who was sitting on the ground, and spread her arms out to stand up straight, getting up and looking beautiful in her entertainment costume, and dancing like a ballerina. She to the kids and danced on her podium.
Sonic looked up, along with the others, and whistled, smiling.
Amy looked down a moment, and grinned cheekily at him, knowing he was just playing but she accepted the compliment happily and continued to perform.
He jumped up and did a few tricks before dancing with her, acting like the 'Madly in love' hatter for show as he took his hat off, mimed his heart pounding, and then bowed, asking to dance with her.
As that happened, Knuckles began to move up to the other floats, and Sonic and Amy danced and jumped to them too, running along as Knuckles took care of the robots, and Tails flew off to click buttons that would shoot out a parade of confetti, disguising the explosions as part of the act, as Knuckles and him took out the floats with explosives.
Eggman realized those explosions were starting to happen frequently, and all in rhythm to the music…
He turned around, very grumpy before seeing Amy get flung forward by Sonic, and her hammer colliding with his head.
The battle continued as the gang made it look like a performance, and the crowd went wild!
At the end, the whole shamble came apart as the gang struck a pose, before the flashy outer-look was completely scrapped off and the village gasped at the robots and fire that came from the floats, panicking and running around wildly.
"…Well, not my best performance, but definitely one of my better ones." Sonic stated, helping Amy down in her dress as Tails and Knuckles quit the act and Knuckles plucked off the clown nose.
"I've never been so nervous and embarrassed in my LIFE!" Knuckles whined, groaning at the fact that he had to submit to being a 'the fool' in the act whose 'trips' were acrobatic stunts.
"Heh! You think YOU'VE got it rough!? Try juggling and looking behind you to make sure you're not gonna run into people and buildings! I was powering the darn thing!" Tails tore off his 'Royal Jester' costume, not ashamed of it, but just wore out, and tossed it. "Now I'm all sweaty.."
"Good work out though." Sonic teased, as Amy blushed and looked at her dress, only being embarrassed about how much it slightly showed, and really gave her a beautiful curve….
"Huh? What's wrong Amy?" Tails turned to her, as she waved her hand through the fabric of the over-lapping layers of her dress's design.
"…I was… meant to be the 'Pretty Dancer Doll' right?" she stated, and looked away, her make up meant to make her look like a Doll.
Sonic smiled, "And I'm the 'Mad Hatter' going mad over you." he flicked her nose, and waved his pointer finger. "Don't think you shouldn't deserve that role."
She grinned, "So.. it fits me well?" she swayed a bit in her dress, raising her chin up and to the side, waiting for another compliment.
"Heh, don't get too cocky now…" Sonic pulled his arm over her shoulders and got Tails in on it too with his other. "We all did great!"
Knuckles beamed and scooped the gang up, "Oh! You're right! We really nailed that! HAHA! Now for a celebration dinner..?"
The gang all looked to Amy, smiling with pleading eyes.
"…Oh alright." she rolled her eyes, smiling too.
"HUZZAH!" Knuckles threw them up to his shoulders, as they threw up their fist in joy.
(How was that? A little more canon than I thought, but that's good news! XD Except for some things, I'm proud of how canon this turned out! XD)
