I decided what to do after the war with the Empire, one of my arcs will be planned out!
The arc after this is known as: The Saintess and Lost Encore (Testament Lilim)
Lilith fumed in frustration with the reports. The adventurers of Orario are hitting back against the army and what's worse? An archangel was reported to be on their side! She knew for a fact that a single angel of such a rank is a moral breaking event for the army, to see a holy being of their faith turned against them. She had no choice but to prepare it for the adventurers of Orario. A tool of Evilus that was secured, studied and reproduced in a different form that negated the Falna: Pillars of Heaven.
*War Camp*
Bell breathed deeply, retching his stomach contents. This war was starting to take a toll on him both physically and mentally. Ruined homes, dead innocent people, and killing the ones responsible for these atrocities. Hermes tried to suggest he leave, to go back to Orario and explore the Dungeon with the rest of the Hestia Familia.
He couldn't, not with the truth Goddess Asherah presented to him. He carried a fragment of her husband's soul within him, and is the only one capable of reviving her husband and to bring order to the Empire and punish them for their atrocities. He was going to face this ugliness that this war was bringing to save as many lives as he could. Ringing the Bells of Conquest and defeating the Templars was a boon. The Horseman reinforces the laws of conquest and those that followed that will surrender willingly, those that didn't were put to the blade by Conquest itself. It was hard to believe that the thing was playing fair with the rules, but given its nature as conquest itself, there are standards to follow.
Now finally emptied of his stomach, Bell left the tent and scrunched his nose in disgust. Blood was in the air, fresh too from the way the copper-like smell was lingering. That's right, scouts report finding a concentration camp of Demi-Humans in a different direction from the main road that Hakuno and the 'Servants' she calls them went to investigate. What he saw shocked him; Hakuno was covered in blood while carrying someone in her arms as a wagon of Demi-Human people were wrapped in blankets, shivering, crying, or just staring blankly in front of them.
Jeanne Alter was comforting them from the driver's seat while Gilles was busy entertaining the scared kids with ideas of how to punish 'bad' people who hurt them. Gilgamesh had his arms folded as usual, but a look of anger was burning in his eyes that did not simmer in intensity. Nero was doing her best, ordering medics to come and take the injured with Hakuno carrying someone that Bell realized was in critical condition.
Only his captain had blood on her while the others were clean, except for minor scratches on them. He wanted to ask, but the look in their eyes told him enough of how horrible the sight they beheld was like in that concentration camp. The lessons of other people being as bad as monsters if not worse was echoing in the boy's mind. This was something ugly he cannot ignore, his captain, his savior in his darkest time had stood against these atrocities and saved as many as she could, even now. He must do his best alongside her and Ais and for that, he found a box of medical supplies that needed delivering and picked them up, intending to help as much as he can for the sake of the people in need.
*Helel*
From afar on the hill, the Ruler Servant Helel stood in observation of the camp's new guests as an angel landed next to him in a human form. Given how mortal minds turn to mush because they can't comprehend their true forms, it was a must. "So it is true, you live again brother." the angel said with narrowed eyes.
"Eternity is relentless Raziel. When I ascended to the Throne of Heroes, I became enlightened. It was humbling even, to know the past and then gaze ever onward to the future. If I were a man, I would have never contained such truths to myself. Now I chose to be summoned to this time and place to correct the wrongdoings of the Prime Movers before more innocents are hurt. Something I believe Father would approve of." Helel told the angel, not looking away from the camp as his Contractor was busy helping healing the injured with her magic, reassuring them as Bell, the boy who held a fragment of Father's soul was helping out, trying to give hope to those that needed it with his own assurances.
Raziel gazed at the camp with a frown. "They're cruel to give them hope like this. When we already lost any hope for this world after Father passed." the Scribe of Heaven spat with disdain. Helel had a small smile on his face.
"Mother created a mortal vessel to temporarily leave the Dungeon." he said with the bluntness of a club as Raziel froze, eyes looking towards the Heroic Spirit with shock. "The truth of what happened that day is out in Orario and many gods were shocked and some even plan to return to Tenkai to find the culprits. Their crimes were quite heavy since it violated the treaty in Tenkai. It's only a matter of time for their comeuppance." Helel mused with a wry smile.
"Mother is free? How? Those restraints block her-"
"They were weakened over time, and thanks to a fragment of Father, it gave mum the strength she needed to make a vessel to walk on the surface." the archangel explained, pointing to where Asherah was sitting, conversing with a few goddesses as Raziel's eyes widened in recognition of her. Anger, sadness and joy filled the angel as Raziel clenched his fists tightly.
"Lilith, she's going too far with the atrocities she's commiting in Father's name with those unknown humans belonging to the 'Holy Church'." Raziel spat with pure contempt. "Our siblings are preparing to leave, letting the adventurers of Orario deal with that city of sin and the evil sleeping in its heart. Gomorrah is not worth protecting anymore."
Helel paused from whatever he said when he heard the name Gomorrah. He slowly rested his forehead against his palm and muttered something like how 'history is to repeat itself' and 'they never change'. Now he knew there was a reason why he was summoned by the Moon Cell as 'insurance'.
A great Evil borne of Man stirs in the 'Holy' Empire, an irony the angel noted was pure comedy in his perspective. His Contractor is going to have to get serious now with this kind of threat at the doorstep she's heading towards.
