With the world still under Iblis's flames, Silver and Blaze worked hard to try and bring some peace to the land.
Blaze dashed from one building to another, jumping with her cat reflexes, before being swiped out of the air.
"Silver!" she cried out, as his green glow suddenly caught her in mid-flight, and she sighed, looking around as she was pulled up.
The flames soared to life, looking down at her with glowing eyes.
She narrowed her own, took her hand back, as that was a signal for Silver to push her forward, as she was moved ahead.
After defeating the Flame, they knew more would appear, but for now, it looked almost like a false sense of peace.
"…I suppose this means we can relax for a while." Blaze looked below the crumbling buildings and soot torn world, and then looked for where Silver was.
He came flying out from some fires, having them diminish as he spun around and swiped his power to extinguish them, holding a hand out before turning to Blaze. "When will this ever end..? The world deserves more than a breather!" he looked pretty frustrated, but she knew that was just from the heat of battle getting too him.
She turned to address him further, "There isn't time for wishful thinking. Just relax and try to breathe." she walked on a moment, fixing her hair's tie from being loosened.
"Hmph." he sat down, and looked down as if in thought. "This world… it's doomed from the start. Even with what little air we have left from the flames… it even takes our oxygen!" He slammed his fist on the building.
Blaze spun around, "Stop being dramatic." she then sighed, seeing as there was no reason to join him in his anger. "You're so naive.." she walked back to him, kneeling down in front of him, as he looked up, surprised to see her taking notice of his actions, and doing something about it.
"Look… Whether we have a day of complete peace… rushing water… and flowers that will grow as far as the eye can see…" she leaned up, straightening her back and then looking out over the darkened hills, burnt from the top up. "There will be hills stained in green, and instead of ashes, dew. And instead of smog, clouds. If that day ever does come… let's be sure to be apart of it's birth." she turned to look back at him, still remaining calm. "I fight for a world of the future. One I can see with my own eyes. But even if that never comes,… I will fight." she clenched her fists, and then walked away as he looked after her.
"Try and be more aware of your complaining. The more you do, the less words you'll have to say." as she walked away, he watched her back before looking down.
He smiled slightly.
"You always know the right thing to say."
fade to black.
When the world was saved, and they returned to their own, holding the emeralds, and walking to Iblis, Silver looked to Blaze.
"Do you remember? This is our day." he offered her his hand.
She looked down at it, a little weirded out, but nodded to him. "We will win." she nodded, and took his hand, as they held it in a odd shake for a moment. Blaze then took off, ready to take on the last flame of their lives.
Silver stretched his recently held hand out, and then lifted it up to his face.
He took a deep breath, smelling for once more then charcoal on her hands, and smiled.
"Our day… our world… will finally come… at last." he closed his eyes and smiled, envisioning the world she described, seeing her on that hill, and turning around, smiling for a change.
quick cut back to Silver, who suddenly opens his eyes in a fiercely determined way.
He floats up, and burst forward, his hand now a tight fist.
"I will live for that day!"
