Would you do a shadamy prompt where they're both playfully flirting and Amy gets shadow flustered but then Shadow says something that gets Amy really flustered? I love your shadamy prompts and how you write their relationship!

Prompt:

"Now, where could Sonic be?" Having accidentally bumped into each other while escaping an enemy bent on cloning an elite army based on Project Shadow, Amy and Shadow now transverse a large, wild jungle to try and reach civilization again.

"Is it just me… or is it common for your friends to lose track of you?" Shadow bluntly stated, not meaning to start a war, but gesturing out to her as he paused a moment from walking aimlessly around the jungle.

Amy swiped her head back in his direction, looking furious. "Ohh… Who asked you!?" she stomped her foot down, her arms sharply being positioned by her sides. "Where even are we?" she looked around.

"Ignoring the question… I'd figure maybe it's the other way around then." He looked down a moment, before up at the canopy. There were a lot of wild noises coming from above… "We should try and get a signal." He pulled out a walkie-talkie, shaking it a moment as the screen showed fuzzy static. "Jammed? Or no signal? This enigma only grows more complexed." He shook his head, holding his forehead a moment as he thought out loud.

Amy stuck her tongue out at him, before continuing to look around the lush jungle. "This certainly doesn't look like the jungles near Angel Island…" she worriedly spoke out, cautiously looking above her and curiously walking towards a tree with beautiful bird sounds coming from it.

With Shadow's back to her now, he put the walkie-talkie away, "That man… He knows about Gerald Robotnik's creations… he knew I was the finest of them all… the ultimate specimen… he called me… Hmm?" he turned to see Amy's foot step over a leaf which flipped up, revealing below to have a red light blinking on some metal contraption.

"Amy!" he outstretched his hand, "Look out!"

"Huh?" Amy turned around, placing her foot down when two large jaws of an animal trap came flying up.

"Hmph!" Shadow dived, tackling her down and out of the way of the trap. He quickly got back up on his feet and swiped sharp Chaos Spears into the ground, having a few activate other traps along the leaf settled floors of the jungle.

He gave a low grumble from his throat, not liking the looks of this. "Traps? Have others tried to escape his grasps? Or was he worried about being found out?"

"Um…"

He looked down.

He was standing right over her, and with the awkward angle, he leaned his head up in shocked disgust, stepping off of her. "Ugh."

"Well, gee, thanks… I didn't like the view either." She joked a moment, stepping up and looking over at the trap. "What was that?" she saw the others he activated and destroyed. "…What are those..?" she seemed a bit spooked now.

"Why are you here?" His eyes narrowed, not wanting to address further questions till that one was established. "What could our capturer want with a silly little girl?"

"Silly!?" Amy grew insulted again, situated herself in front of him again, "Look, pal. I've had enough of your insults! First you act startled that I'm here, then you take it as a personal offense that my presence here could mean something, and… LITTLE!?" she kept stepping up towards him, as he shifted his eyes to her advancing footing and began to stagger back.

He hit a tree and leaned his face back as Amy's fierceness forced him to run into it.

He tried to keep up a tough appearance, but her actions actually did startle him.

"Amy… you've been alluding all my questions." He tried to narrow his eyes, but he was still somewhat… taken aback by her approach to him. "…Aren't you afraid?"

"…Afraid?" Amy leaned her head back, finally looking a bit more softer now. "Of you? This place?" she gestured around her, then gave off a small, unmistakably cute laugh. "Shadow, why would I be afraid? Me and Sonic have dealt with way worse than this… besides, you're my hero for the day, aren't you?" she turned her body to the side, acting playful and winking to him.

He was, once again, unable to communicate the strange feeling that flustered him as he looked away. "You're… certainly strong-willed then." He cleared his voice, stepping forward and away from her direction. "To have completely disregarded your own safety… even joking in a time like this…"

"Well, Sonic's still my main man." She smiled, looking away and twitching an eye as if having to 'explain' what she meant, before swaying a moment and adjusting herself back to Shadow's front. "Buuuuut~ I can join the party of an anti-hero! No problem! You've got an attitude too. I'm used to men who think they're all that. Mr. Ultimate Lifeform~" she joked and tried to act macho and arrogant, before smacking Shadow's shoulder. "Come on! If you can't have fun with what life gives you, then how do you manage life at all?"

He thought about that a moment, and her confusing actions, before suddenly stifling a returning 'huff' that Amy took as a restrained laugh and smiled to her.

"You know, out of all the conflicting enigmas surrounding this place… you're the most confusing of them all."

It left Amy a little off-guard this time, but she smiled with some flush around her cheeks, and turned her head cutely to an angle, before winking and walking on. "Shall we?"

He nodded behind her, before walking side by side with her. "Alright. Don't answer any questions. We'll take this one… step at a time."

"You mean, one branch at a time."

"Hmm?"

He looked back to see she wasn't by his side.

"Amy?" he seemed at a loss, his head searching everywhere in a bit of a frantic worry before she giggled, and he looked up to see her already climbing up a tree.

"Slowpoke!" she laughed, climbing up.

He smiled again, shaking his head. "Now I see how he loses you all the time…"

"What was that?"

With a new found amusement for Amy's company, he propelled himself up the tree after her, clearing a horde of branches and looking down at her as if to mock and show off his ability.

"Huh? H-hey! No fair!" Amy played along, trying to keep up with him as he continued up the tree, but would pause every now and then to look back down at her.

Perhaps he was being too serious.

It was nice to have someone so relaxed… Sonic did it in a much… more annoying way… but he appreciated her way of keeping him levelheaded and focused on one task at a time.

For the first time in a long time, he realized how much Rouge and Omega meant to him.

He had finally gotten used to the idea of friendship, but he hadn't realized he could have similar tendencies with someone much like Amy Rose.

"Anything?" Amy huffed and puffed, finally making it up to the top where he was located, one leg bent on a branch above and the other balancing below. She climbed on the one below.

"It's definitely not the signal," Shadow responded, fiddling with the buttons on the walkie-talkie before holding it up towards a heavy storm, steadily approaching. "It's much worse."

"Ahh…" Amy whined, tilting her head in disappointment. "I was hoping for the signal jam…"

He looked after the storm clouds, "Well… we should find shelter…"

"Wait… Shadow, look at that spiral!" Amy pointed at something her eye had caught.

Blue, horizontal lightning…

Shadow repositioned himself, squatting down to her level and eyeing it too. "…Impossible. Could it be?"

"Is that… electricity?"

"This isn't a normal storm." Their faces were close, as Amy turned to notice and quaked a moment in surprise as she leaned back, almost falling off the tree.

"Woh…!"

"Hmm… Stay close." He was still focusing on the storm, but wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close.

Her head leaned back, much like his from before, revealing an open frown and red on her muzzle. "S-Shadow!" she flailed her arms a bit like a cartoon, having a sound-effect and everything as she frantically looked side to side at his arm around her waist, being uncomfortable with the close-proximity before he stood up, pulling her up with him.

"If anything were to happen to you, who do you think they'd blame?" He eyed her suddenly, and she couldn't tell if he was joking around with her or being completely seriously.

So she sweatdropped awkwardly and put on her best, goofy smile. "Uhh.."

"Hang on." He swung her up and held her bridal style.

"Wha! Hey! Only Sonic can hold me like this!" she complained before Shadow gave her another stingy look.

"Would you prefer this or being slung over my shoulder like the animal our capturer thinks you are?" he raised his eyebrow.

The man was definitely against animals. Amy only knew that he captured her for some weird experimentation. Hoping to infuse her with whatever made Shadow so strong and create a mindless slave army like him… Robotic minds… but flesh and bone.

How could she tell Shadow that his kind… those ARK experiments… all weren't quite 'alive' like the was? That he was the first of his kind? And that only he held the cure to stopping this man from making more mindless destroyers through his blood?

She didn't want her friend to become a martyr…

"Amy?" he looked down at her.

"I'm… Ohh! Only this once!" she tightly pressed against him, looping her arms around his neck and hugging him for a moment.

The tightness caught him off guard, but he ignored it.

"Good. Then let's go." He took on a serious 'game' face, and focused again, taking off down the tree as Amy held on sternly.

(Tried to keep it more towards 'game canon' what do you think? 😊 )
