oK so i had a dream last night and basically it took place in Sonic Forces, and they were about to go off to battle and Amy was staying behind to take care of the communicating thing or whatever she's in charge in, and she was holding a record book or something? so as they're about to leave, Sonic was like "oh look! there's one of eggman's robots!" and as everyone turned around, he grabbed Amy by the waist, dipped her, put her book in front of their faces and kissed her

"Nice work, partner!" Sonic high-fived the young Recruit, who was shy and modest with dipping his head and scratching behind in at his praise.

"Ah, humble aren't you?" Sonic seemed amused by that, and threw him a thumbs up, "That should get you far." he teased.

Bttz, Beee~ BTTZZZ, BEEE~

"Oh? Looks like we got a phone call." Sonic continued the jokes before turning on the communicator.

Amy's cheery face came on, as she waved to Sonic on the screen. "Hello!"

"Hey!" Sonic's grin widened, "Miss me?"

"I'm here to speak to the recr- OF COURSE! Pfft, always." she tried to flirt but it was a little too late for that.

"What? The recruit?" Sonic turned to him, before making a disappointed face to Amy, pouting slightly, "So you call me instead?"

"His communicator was trashed, I assume?"

They both looked down and noticed his was sparking from their last mission's adventure.

Sonic nodded, "Alright… Here." he held out his hand and looked away as if somehow rejected.

The Recruit dipped his head again in apology, trying to smile through the awkwardness but knew Sonic was just goofing around.

"If you want to talk to me, you know my number." Amy snapped a quick quip while rolling her eyes off the camera as if trying to indirectly to speak to Sonic. She then turned and addressed the Recruit.

"You're doing amazing out there! We're all very impressed and proud of you, recruit!"

Sonic looked annoyed at her praising someone else, and tapped his foot in impatience.

She apparently heard that and giggled, she gestured her pointed finger to him off screen and looked to the recruit, mouthing the words- Is his hand on his hip?

He nodded.

She covered her mouth and blushed, holding in a giggle.

"We need you now to try out a solo mission, we know you can do it." she winked, encouragingly.

Sonic looked back and nodded, putting an arm around the recruit. "I know you can do it! Hey, if you can keep up with my missions, then I'm sure you've learned enough here."

"There's never enough to learn! Silver and Knuckles are waiting for you, Sonic." she could see the screen move as Sonic retracted his arm so that only he was at the center of the screen.

"And?" he waited, wanting clearly to hear something sweet from her too.

"…Who's my favorite hedgehog~" she squished her face against the camera. "Who's going fast? Who's going fast? You are! That's a good boy~" she made the recruit stifle a laugh.

Sonic's face was priceless, completely defeated and annoyed, he went to turn off the communicator. "See ya around, Amy… these chats are always 'inspiring'."

She giggled a bit more, "Be safe~"

He turned her off and shook his head, dipping it down with both hands on his hips now, "You know, I can't always tell if she's playing me… or thinks that's actual flirting."

The recruit turned his head with a little red on his cheeks, thinking that the two of them were sweet.

Sonic rolled his own eyes and patted the Recruit's back, "We're just a funny.. duo, really."

"Good luck." He gave the recruit one last wink and thumbs up, before taking off.

Tails turned on his communicator, "Sonic?"

"Is Amy working?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Thanks."

"?"

Sonic disconnected from a clearly confused Tails, and reconnected with Amy's multiple screens, having learned how to tap into each of them into the same server.

Grinning mischievously, he cupped his hands over his face, seeing her sleeping at her computer.

He took a deep breath in.

"AMMMMYYYYY~!"

"AHH!" she flailed and fell back, sliding off her chair as it rolled to the right of her. Using it as a crutch, she slowly lifted herself up and looked around. The speakers fizzed and mellowed out before she saw his smirking look of triumph.

"Good morning~" he winked.

She frowned,… but couldn't help and blush.

"I've imagined that moment for a long time… never thought it'd actually happen."

"Hope I didn't disappoint your wildest dreams. I need something."

"You usually aren't far off the mark." she teased, but only muttered to herself as she got up and sighed, leaning her head back, fiddling with her bangs and swooping them back. "When do you ever NOT need something from me?"

"Just tell me what-"

"I want you to express your feelings-"

"NOT THAT! The records books! Amy! Focus!" he suddenly got a bit nervous, and so his body tensed up along with his frightful tone.

"Haha! Got you~" she dipped down, trying to get it as all Sonic could see was her legs in the air, bent and doing cute little stretches as she tried to reach for something.

"Hmph.." he looked a bit exhausted after that, but lowered his eyelids and watched her feet do their silly thing. "I need to know what happened on the ruined island…"

"Islands?" She corrected and came back up with the book in her hand. "Isn't that where the recruit went?"

"He found a core of some kind."

"Woah." Amy's eyes widened.

"Heh, good to see you finally taking things seriously for a change."

"I always take things seriously. Especially between us." she winked.

For a moment, she could have sworn the side of Sonic's smile twitched into a cocky grin she knew and loved, but it was over and gone as quickly as it had come.

"Records. Please." he tilted his head and gave her a flirty look.

She wished it was a flirty look… it was all she wanted.

Swooning a moment at his charms, she opened the book and began to give him the information he needed.

The islands were forming some sort of super land with metallic purposes. Infinite was gaining his power source from whatever this meant, and the team needed to investigate and destroy it. The islands weren't natural, but man-made. If Eggman ever had a weak spot, it was there! They just knew it!

The ground shook as Amy clung to her records book, the only thing that was able to give them some clues as to what it all meant.

She stumbled in her attempt to keep the book firmly clasped between her arms and chest, but Sonic pushed his shoulder up by her back so she wouldn't fall.

She looked back and smiled at him through her fear.

"Like old times." she weakly tried to ignore the fright everyone was showing.

He smiled confidently back to her as if the memory had returned to him as well.

Just before everyone headed out- "Look!" Sonic moved himself from behind her and slung an arm around her shoulder.

He did this because he knew she would be retreating with others back to the HQ.

"Eggman's robots!"

He wasn't lying…

people turned as he scanned right and left, making sure they were at the back of the crowd and grabbed the book from her arms.

"H-huh?" he dipped her and covered their faces with the records book.

Bringing her back up, she looked a bit spooked but was leaping for joy inside.

"Put that on your records." he winked, and waved her off, racing to the join the other resistance.

"Wait for me, Amy!"

"..D-d.." she shook herself out from the sensation happening inside her. "Don't get caught! Or hurt! Or-!"

He waved her away, and she knew it'd be some time before he came back…
