Keep Beach City Weird

—…

The day started outside the Beach House. It was a normal quiet day until Steven's loud voice shouted while he was running up to his house, fleeing from something.

"Pearl!" Steven yelled fearfully.

Pearl immediately responded to his call for help as she rushed outside the house with her spear, ready for combat. "Hyungh!"

"Help me, save me, help me!" Steven ran up the stairs and to the door as jumps and clings onto Pearl. "Save me!"

Pearl then saw what he was running from as Garnet and Amethyst—Who had shapeshifted into Steven, appeared and started running around Pearl while laughing. Amethyst was a purple Steven that had slightly longer eyelashes, and Garnet was a red Steven that was wearing Garnet's visor.

Pearl just looked confused at what she was seeing. "What on Earth?!"

Steven pokes Pearl's forehead. "Tag! You're it."

Pearl just looked at them with half-closed eyes. "Care to explain—Ugh!" Steven puts his finger in Pearl's mouth, and she quickly pulls away. "…What's going on here?"

"It's Steven Tag!" Amethyst answered with enthusiasm. "Steven tagged you. Now you have to turn into Steven."

"It's the rules." Garnet said stoically.

Pearl was clearly not on board and turned her head. "Ugh. Oh, please."

Steven let out a disappointed groan. "Awww, no fair!"

"Sooooo, that means we're out of players." Amethyst decided as she turned to Garnet. "Get ready for Steven Tag Advance!"

She tried to tackle tag Garnet. But Garnet dodged Amethyst's tackle, grabbed her, and threw her up into the sky, high above the temple. Garnet then leaps up and appears behind Amethyst.

"Tag." Garnet exclaimed as she slapped Amethyst on the back.

"Wahhhh!" Amethyst cried out as the force of the slap knocked her out of the sky, and she crashed onto the beach. Her landing created a large sand explosion that left a wide sand crater that wasn't too deep.

Steven, Garnet, and Pearl look over from the house porch at Amethyst, lying in the crater in the sand. Amethyst gets up groggily while Garnet smiles. "Garnet wins."

At that point, Vergil walked out of the door and looked at the others before asking. "Hey, I heard an explosion, is your dumb game over."

"It is." Garnet answered as she undid her transformation and turned back into her regular form. "And I won."

Once the game was over, Steven and Vergil were walking around the beach to head to the town and were talking while walking.

"You should have played with us. It was fun." Steven told him.

"I like playing tag as much as the next guy, but I'm not into the idea of transforming into you." Vergil told him.

"What's wrong with turning into Steven?" Steven asked with a smile.

"Don't get me started." Vergil replied in a joking manner.

"STOP!"

Steven and Vergil were suddenly halted by a guy wearing a military-style outfit and hiding behind a rock.

Vergil rolled his eyes when he saw him. "Oh, this guy."

The person in question was Ronaldo, Peedee's older brother and Fryman's eldest son.

"This is a restricted zone!" Ronaldo shouted as he tried to shoo them away. "Only those with special clearance may enter!"

"…May I have special clearance?" Steven nervously requested.

"Hmmmm…" Ronaldo stopped and stared at Steven as though he was surprised that he actually asked. "Granted."

"Are you kidding me?" Vergil threw his arms up in annoyance. "We don't need anyone's permission to be here, and we live here! If anything, who gave you clearance to be here?"

"Uh, That's…" Ronaldo stopped again, uncomfortable at being suddenly put on the spot. "Classified…"

Things moved along swiftly as Ronaldo had Steven put on clear bags over his hands and feet and began rummaging into a duffel bag. Vergil didn't put on the bags and just looked disinterested at Ronaldo, opposite to Steven, who seemed very interested.

"Now that you're properly suited let's investigate!" Ronaldo hands Steven a pair of binoculars. "See those holes?" Steven looks through the binoculars and sees several bullet-sized holes on the cliff face. "Their shape and pattern are repeated over and over." He then takes a picture with his phone. "Some might say it's a coincidence. I say there's something… more." He paused before finishing his sentence, looking up at the sky.

"Like what? A double coincidence?" Steven asked with a gaze filled with disbelief.

"No, he means something paranormal." Vergil clarified for him.

"That's correct." Ronaldo said. "You like you're quite informed. Are you positive you don't want to investigate as well?"

"I'm not wearing those bags." Vergil told him decidedly.

"Very well." Ronaldo turned back to Steven. "As for you, you'd already be in the know if you followed my blog, "Keep Beach City Weird"!" He showed them his blog on his phone. "I document all the weird things that happen in Beach City! You can't always trust facts and books. I'm out here hunting the TRUTH!"

"Oh, there you are! Ronaldo was cut off when Peedee ran over to them. "Dad wants you back at the shop! You're missing out on valuable frying time!"

"It's weird time, Peedee!" Ronaldo yelled with insistence. "I'm doing big stuff! Cover for me!"

"Fine." Peedee rolled his eyes before frowning at him and putting his hands on his hips. "But this is the last time, or I'm telling Dad. He then walks away while mumbling angrily. "Big stuff", I'll give you "big stuff"."

"Hey, Peedee, wait up." Vergil went up to him and stopped him. "If it'll help out, I'll help you cover his shift at the Fry shop."

"Really? That'd be great!" Peedee responded, first surprised, then with gratitude. "Come on. I'll tell my Dad about it."

"All right." Vergil turned back to Steven. "I'll see you later."

"Okay." Steven waved goodbye.

Vergil and Peedee started walking away to head back into town as Peedee spoke. "Just so you know, I can't pay you because you don't officially work at the shop."

"I don't really care. I just don't want to hang out with your brother." Vergil admitted bluntly.

"I probably shouldn't say this, but I can understand that." Peedee reluctantly agreed.

Once they were gone, Ronaldo turned back to Steven. "So… You wanna get your hands really dirty?" Steven took the clear bags off his hands and smiled at him. "Then follow me."

"Yeah!" Steven cheered as Ronaldo lifted his bag and took off from the beach, and Steven followed him.

While Steven and Ronaldo were going around Beach City to "Investigate" weird things, Vergil and Peedee were currently inside BC Fries and frying up fries. Peedee told his father that Ronaldo wasn't going to work his shift, and Fryman decided that there was no harm in letting Vergil help out, so now they were both working around the deep fryer.

"Thanks for the help, man." Peedee told him. "It would have been a huge hassle if I had to work both shifts by myself."

"Well, I had nothing going on today, so it's no big deal." Vergil replied.

Peedee then brought a sack of frozen fries before moving them to the deep fryer filled with heated-up cooking oil. Vergil decided to assist him. He brought out his Sword from his Gem. He picked up the sack and threw it in the air before slicing the sack open, causing all the frozen fries to fall down and into the deep fryer. The fries started to cooking.

"Wow, that was awesome." Peedee marveled.

"Yep, it's all in the wrist." Vergil bragged before making his Sword disappear. "And I just felt like showing off."

Peedee went over to the deep fryer. "You've got it made, Vergil. You and Steven have all those cool powers, and you never have to work or anything."

"Well, there are some parts that aren't so great, like constantly being in danger." Vergil said with a shrug. "But yeah, it is cool being a Gem."

"Don't get me wrong. I like the Fry shop and all. It's just…." Peedee took out a paper bag and waited until some of the fries were done cooking before taking them out of the deep fryer and filling them into the bag. "I can't lie. It'd be cool to be able to do stuff like you. You glow, transform, and you can fly. The most interesting thing that goes on around me is Ronaldo and half the time. I have no idea what he's talking about."

"Speaking of which, Is it normal for him to just not show up for his shift?" Vergil asked while handing him some ketchup packets.

"Yeah." Peedee sighed while putting the packets in the bag with the fries. "All he ever does is look for weird stuff and then blog about it. I just wish he'd focus more on work."

"Whelp, at the very least, let's hope hanging out with Steven doesn't make him go overboard and do something stupid." Vergil shrugged.

Meanwhile, after spending a while looking over different parts of town, Steven and Ronaldo returned to walk along the boardwalk outside BC Fries. Ronaldo was pulling his bag while facing forward as Steven followed him.

"We live in a strange world, Steven. Stranger than most know, stranger than they care to know. Take my brother, for instance." Ronaldo pointed forward, and they looked over to Peedee and Vergil, who was still working at the BC Fries counter, as they gave fries to Jenny, who was next in line. "He's always getting on my case, telling me to work more. He'll never understand, and neither will your friend, Vergil. But Steven, I can tell you're like me."

"Yeah!" Steven was both happy and excited.

"I know you're someone I can trust…" Ronaldo said seriously before he trailed off, and they began walking again.

After leaving the boardwalk behind, Steven and Ronaldo kept walking for a while until they made their way up the tall grass hill and arrived at The Lighthouse on top.

"You're ready for what I've found." Steven and Ronaldo approach the Lighthouse atop the temple's cliff and start climbing up the stairs of the lighthouse. "The cause of Beach City's paranormal activity."

"Wait, what?" Steven asked.

At the end of the stairs, Ronaldo opens a door and leads Steven to the lantern room at the top of the lighthouse. "Welcome to my office. Go that way. Welcome… To the truth!"

Steven walks around the lantern in the room and sees a large noticeboard with several newspaper clips all over it. They said things like "Theater Attacked By Strange Creature", "Baffling Ocean Drain Remains Unexplained", and "Unknown Man Impersonates Local Boy," along with several other clips of strange articles and a posture of Mayor Dewey. In the center of the board was a large piece of paper with the words "SNAKE PEOPLE" written in large letters on it, along with a drawing of a snake.

"SNAKE PEOPLE?!" Steven exclaimed with shock.

"Snake People, or "sneople", control our government at the highest levels!" Ronaldo told him in complete seriousness. "Look!" He then shows Steven a dollar bill that has a small image of a diamond and a snake on it. "The snake represents their hold on our country. The diamond represents their underground mines or their sharp teeth… The details aren't important." He waved his hand. "They pit us mammals against each other with elections, sports, and anime message boards. We spend so much time fighting over "dubs" or "subs" that we miss the big picture!"

Steven was in awe at all this information. "What's that?"

"That the world is under their control." Ronaldo ominously closed his fist.

Steven stared at him while feeling a sense of dread enter his mind.

After their conversation was over, Steven left the Lighthouse. He stood there, deep in thought, as he tried to wrap his head around everything Ronaldo told him. Suddenly he stopped when he looked down and saw a small green garden snake slithering nearby. It hisses at him and slithers away.

"AAAAAAAH!" Steven runs away from the snake in fear.

Later, at the Beach House, Vergil returned from BC Fries and entered the house. Pearl and Amethyst were currently home though Garnet wasn't. Vergil saw the two Gems by the couch and approached them.

"Hey, I'm back." Vergil announced.

"Sup, Vergil." Amethyst waved while still lying on the couch.

"How was your day?" Pearl asked pleasantly.

"Not too bad." Vergil walked up to them while taking out a paper bag. "I helped out Peedee at the Fry shop, and they paid me in Fry bits."

"Ooh, gimmie!" Amethyst shot up and took the bag before scooping a handful of bits and eating them.

It was at that moment that Steven burst into the house, breathing heavily from running so much, and slammed the door behind him.

"Steven, don't slam the door!" Pearl lightly scolded him.

"Amethyst, Pearl, Vergil, we need to snake-proof the house!" Steven insisted urgently.

"Snake-proof?" Vergil repeated, confused.

"Why?" Pearl asked, perplexed.

"To stop the snake people!" Steven shouted fearfully.

"Uh, "snake people"?" Amethyst said it like it was a joke before chuckling.

Steven blushes angrily at her reaction. "What's so funny about sneople? Look at this!"

Steven takes out his phone and shows Vergil, Pearl, and Amethyst Ronaldo's blog, displaying a picture of the holes in the cliff face they saw earlier.

"That must be from when we fought those drill parasites on the beach." Pearl informed him.

"Wha?!…" Steven was taken aback by that statement as he realized she was right. "Well, what about this?" Next, he shows them a picture of the red rock chunks on the boardwalk.

"That looks like pieces of that Red Eye we blew up!" Amethyst reminded him.

"Well, what about this!?" Finally, Steven shows a picture of a garbage bin covered in flower petals.

"Aren't those the flowers from Rose's moss that appeared that time we hung out with Lars and the cool kids?" Vergil remembered.

Steven's eyes went wide as he slapped his head in revelation. "Is all the weird stuff that happens in Beach City because of us?"

Pearl shrugged nonchalantly. "Well, yeah, obviously."

"Do you honestly not know this until right now?" Vergil asked, finding it odd. "I mean, you were there all those times."

Steven was still wide eyes as he gripped his head with both hands and walked to the door. "I need some air."

After all that, Steven left the house and walked to the porch. As he looked over the edge and saw Ronaldo on the beach, investigating the crater formed earlier by the Gems.

Steven looked down and addressed him. "Ronaldo?"

Ronaldo heard him and looked up at the porch while putting a cast on the crater. "Steven! Did you see this crater? I think the snake people might have left it as a sign."

While he said that, Steven approached him apologetically as he spoke with an uncomfortable demeanor. "Yeah. Uh, Ronaldo?"

Ronaldo looked back at him as he made an anime-Esque happy face. "Yes, Steven?"

"Are you… Totally sure about this "snake people" thing?" Steven asked with hesitation.

Ronaldo's happy expression quickly fades away into an upset one. "Steven, are you having doubts?"

"Not really, just... doubts." Steven averted eye contact while nervously rubbing the back of his head. "I found out that those weird holes in the cliff were just something me and the Gems did."

"Well, okay, but those red rocks…." Ronaldo attempted.

"That was us." Steven informed him reluctantly.

"But the flowers…." Ronaldo tried again.

"Us too." Steven continued, becoming more unhappy.

"But- But the truth!" Ronaldo desperately denied it.

"Maybe the truth just isn't what you thought it was." Steven apologetically tried to reason with him.

"Sure it is!" Ronaldo wasn't convinced. "Don't get hung up on these minor facts. Truth is about more than that. Truth is a feeling in your gut that you know is true! Truth is searching for anything that proves you're right no matter how small and holding on to that, no matter what." He passionately spoke the words from his heart.

Steven didn't look like he agreed. "That kinda sounds like the opposite of the truth.

"Look! The proof! This cast will show the true face of this conspiracy." Ronaldo desperately tried to convince him as he held up the cast from the crate, only to see that it looked exactly like Steven. "Oh, wha-huh?"

"That's probably from Steven Tag." Steven apologetically informed him.

"What?!" Ronaldo's expression was filled with misery and disappointment.

Steven, uncomfortable, explained. "It's a game where when I tag one of the Gems, they—"

Ronaldo raised a hand to halt Steven, unable to bear to hear anymore. "I'm really not at the center of anything…" He was forced to accept as he stood up and stared into space as the wind blew against his hair. "I'm nothing…."

Ronaldo walks away in despair and heartache, dragging along the cast on the sand. It then hits a rock and breaks apart as Ronaldo keeps walking off.

After Ronaldo left, Steven went back inside the Beach House. Steven now slouches on the couch in the living room, browsing Ronaldo's blog on his phone only to find out it has been shut down. While he was sitting there, Pearl and Vergil approached him.

"What's wrong, Steven?" Pearl asked.

"Are you bummed about the Fry bits because I tried to stop Amethyst from eating them all?" Vergil sat down beside him.

"I think I broke Ronaldo's heart." Steven said regrettably.

"Oh, Steven." Pearl gently ruffled his hair. "Humans just lead short, boring, insignificant lives, so they make up stories to feel like they're a part of something bigger." She said all that with a smile on her face. "They want to blame all the world's problems on some single enemy they can fight instead of a complex network of interrelated forces beyond anyone's control."

"It's sad." Amethyst added, standing beside the kitchen counter with an upset expression. "And funny." She finished with a smile.

"Don't feel bad about it, okay? It's not like he was ever going to be right." Pearl consoled him before she got up and walked away.

Vergil leaned back against the couch and yawned at them. "Well, that was indelicate, but… I guess they technically aren't wrong."

"Was it right of me to break Ronaldo's heart like that?" Steven miserably asked him.

"Well, I don't really care for the guy, but I think he had a right to know and if Anime has taught me anything, it's that it's better to be honest with someone than let them believe something you know isn't true." Vergil advised him before he got up and walked off. "I know he's upset, but even if you hadn't said anything, he wouldn't have found anything anyway. After all, there are no snake people."

Steven processed his words before he sat back against the couch silently. His gaze wandered to the coffee table as he noticed a coin on the table, which had a snake emblem on it, and when he saw that, an idea popped into his head.

Pearl was in the middle of washing the dishes when she heard the door opening and saw Steven preparing to leave. "Steven, where are you going?"

Steven was holding something that looked like a dark green sheet in his arms. "I'm gonna go fix Ronaldo! I'll be back in an hour!" He said excitedly before he ran off.

Later that day, outside the back entrance of BC Fries, Peedee was peeling potatoes from a large sack of potatoes in the back of the shop while whistling. Soon, Ronaldo came out of the shop to take out the trash. He was still very depressed about everything.

"Yo, Ronaldo!" Peedee waved at him, but Ronaldo remained silent. He found that odd and approached his older brother. "Ehhh, so… See anything weird lately?"

Ronaldo was so depressed that there were even some unshaven hairs around his chin. "No, everything's… Normal."

As he closed the dumpster lid, Steven suddenly appeared behind and approached Peedee and Ronaldo in a snake costume. The costume was a dark green sheet with a snake-like design that had eye holes and a mouth hole around his face. He also wore dark green furry boots with talons at the toes.

Steven hisses to get their attention. " *hiss* Snake men are real, and we're puppets of the gov'ment! *hiss*" He spoke with an evil tone.

"Ahh!" Once he saw him, Peedee hid his face under his shirt in fright.

"Hahahahahahaha!" A startled Ronaldo starts laughing hysterically and slowly approaches Steven. He then retrieves a potato from his shirt and hits Steven over the head with it, knocking him out. "Hiya!"

Back at the Beach House, it was now nighttime, and Vergil was still sitting on the couch while scrolling through his phone, while Amethyst was watching the TV and was folding the laundry. Soon, the Warp Pad activated, and Garnet appeared.

After arriving, Garnet stepped off the Warp Pad and walked up to the middle of the house. Pearl saw her and smiled. "Garnet, you're back."

"Where've you been all day?" Vergil looked up and asked her.

"I had to take care of something important on my own." Garnet explained before going up to the couch and sitting down. "How were things at home."

"Pretty good, funny stuff happened with Steven's weird friend." Amethyst said with amusement as she still watched TV.

Garnet looked around before asking. "Where is Steven?"

"He said he was going to "fix" Ronaldo?" Pearl said it before becoming worried. "But I'm getting worried. He said he would only be gone an hour, but it's been much longer than that."

"There's nothing to worry about, not unless he plans on doing something reckless and impulsive without thinking things through." Vergil reasoned before he stopped, and he, along with everyone else, fully processed what he just said and froze. "Oh, on."

They all dropped whatever they were doing, and the four of them rushed out the door.

Meanwhile, after getting knocked out by Ronaldo, Steven slowly wakes up, still in his snake costume… Finding himself back in the Lighthouse and chained to a foldup chair as the Lighthouse's beacon light was on and rotating. Ronaldo then approached Steven with a crazed look on his face as he prepared to start interrogating him while Peedee recorded with a hand-held camcorder.

"Wakey wakey, Mr. Snakey…!" Ronaldo used a flashlight to examine Steven's eyes. "Waveforms seem typical for a twelfth-dimensional being of this size." Steven struggled to break free while Ronaldo examined the costume's arms with his flashlight. "Arms appear to be vestigial."

Peedee was just shivering fearfully against the wall. "U-Uhh, R-R-Ronaldo? Is that… One of the monster people you've been hunting?"

"No, no, not "monster", Peedee, "snerson". It's very scientific!" He clarified, finishing with a yell. "But still, better safe than sorry." He reached into his shirt and handed Peedee a potato.

"What's this for?" Peedee asked as he took the potato.

"For me! Ronaldo exclaimed, pointing to himself. "In case the amphibianoids turn my body into a host vessel!"

"No!" Peedee shrieked as he dropped the potato and crouched on the floor while starting to tear up.

"Peedee, Peedee, Peedee! You gotta look at the big picture here! Something important is finally happening to me!" Ronaldo explained as though that was the most important thing in all this.

Just then, there was a loud explosion, and they both looked at the wall of the Lighthouse as it suddenly broke apart, and the Crystal Gems burst in, fully armed and looking very angry.

"Hello." Garnet raised her gauntlets.

"We know you have our Steven!" Pearl sneered while Garnet held her back from charging in.

"Give him up, curly!" Amethyst raged while cracking her whip, Garnet held her back, too, but that didn't stop her from barking. "Grrrr…!"

Ronaldo gasped at them before looking at them ragefully. "You snake people. Hiding like cowards in your false humanoid exteriors!" Ronaldo stood up to confront them. "Steven's got nothing to do with this. It's me you want!" He proudly declared before opening his shirt to reveal a bronze armored breastplate under his shirt to show he was ready for battle. "Augh!"

Immediately after that, Amethyst quickly kicks him in the face, causing him to get sent flying backward across the room and onto the floor painfully. He quickly recovers and charges at the Gems with a full-powered punch. But Pearl merely held up her hand and easily blocked his punch. Her block was so solid that Ronaldo felt like he had just punched a metal wall and caused him more pain.

"AAAAAH! Aah! Aah!" Ronaldo painfully clasped his hand. "YOU SNONSTERS!" He didn't get to finish as Garnet smashed a barrel over his head. "AAAAH!"

The Gems continue to attack Ronaldo while Steven continues to struggle. By then, the front door to the room opened, and Vergil walked in. He saw everything that was going on and let out a sigh. "Sure, who needs doors anyway?"

"Vergil?" Peedee looked surprised to see him arrive.

Vergil didn't address him and ran past the Gems while they kept beating up Ronaldo and went to Steven, who was still struggling. "I don't even want to know what your plan was." He said as he helped untie him.

Finally, Steven manages to be free from the chair and slips off of the top half of his snake costume, now only in snake-skinned pants and the furry boots. After being freed, he ran toward Ronaldo.

Peedee noticed Steven and became surprised again. "Steven!"

"Yes, Steven." Vergil told him as he helped him stand up.

Back with the Gems, as they stopped attacking for a moment, Ronaldo got up, now visibly injured with a few bruises and a crack on one of the lenses of his glasses, but not daunted in the least. "Okay, okay! You've forced me to use my ultimate weapon! Stand back!" He declared loudly as he waved his arms, and the Gems actually reacted. "Psychic Ghost Powers… Activate!"

Hysterically, Ronaldo begins chanting gibberish, but the Gems had never seen something like this before and assumed that something really was about to happen as the Gems brace themselves for an attack while Vergil just facepalmed at them.

Steven then jumps in between them to quickly put a stop to everything. "Everybody stop! I'm okay!"

They all calmed down and lowered their weapons, as Garnet commented. "Nice pants."

Amethyst chuckled at her comment as Ronaldo looked at him with shock. "Steven, your legs! When did they get to you?"

"Ronaldo, it's not real!" Steven finally told him with frustration as he tossed his costume on the ground, annoyed. "It was just me… Again." He confessed.

Ronaldo flinched for a moment before taking a closer look. "That… Makes no sense." He got on the floor and rummaged through the costume to try and find something wrong with it while Peedee looked on, embarrassed.

Steven walked up to the Gems. "I just wanted to inspire Ronaldo to be weird again."

Vergil placed a hand on his shoulder. "Like I was trying to tell you. Even if you want to help, it's not right to lie to him."

"Yeah, I know." Steven lowered his head.

"No!" Ronaldo shouted in defiance. "It- It just isn't that simple! There's got to be more to it than just… You!" He refused to accept that.

Despite what he said, the Crystal Gems just look away in uncertainty, unable to tell him anything else. All this was becoming too much for Ronaldo, and he started stressing out.

Peedee then got everyone's attention. "But there is more!" He shouted while rummaging through Ronaldo's papers. "Steven is just uh… A small piece of the puzzle!" He deduced as he ran up to Ronaldo and held up one of the papers. "Look at this! I think it's gotta be uh…." He put something together in his mind. "Level 8 beings pulling the strings."

"Get real, Peedee. Ronaldo paused before rolling his eyes around. "Level 8 beings are a worker society incapable of such organization…." He then took the paper and then paused again before his eyes widened. "Whoa, wait a minute!" As if he just discovered a whole new revelation, he took all the papers and spread them all out on the floor. "How did I never see this before?" He scanned through the papers and peered at a dollar bill as his pupils became diluted. "I know what the diamond means… Polymorphic sentient rocks!"

After shouting the answer to his new theory, Ronaldo starts laughing hysterically at his new realization and hoops wildly as Peedee and the Crystal Gems sneak out of the Lighthouse and close the door. However, they can still hear his laughter on the other side.

"Are you sure he'll be better like that?" Steven asked Peedee about his decision.

"Yeah, he's happy, ya know?" Peedee ultimately decided.

"I guess conspiracy theorists just need something to believe in." Vergil said with acceptance.

Peedee and the Crystal Gems began walking away from the Lighthouse and down the hill, with Steven riding on Pearl's back and Garnet petting his head. Ronaldo remains in the Lighthouse, standing on the balcony and yelling aloud so that the others can still hear him.

"They're here to hollow out the Earth! It's part of the Great Diamond Authority! They'll take on any form. You can read all about it… ON MY BLOOOG!" Ronaldo yelled excitedly at the top of his lungs.

The star iris then zoomed in on Ronaldo as he was yelling but stopped at then moved to Vergil, who halted for a moment and raised a brow.

"W-Wait? Great Diamond Authority?" He repeated as the star iris fully zoomed in, ending the chapter.

And that's the chapter.

This was Ronaldo's big debut in having his own episode, and while he might ironically be the weirdest about Beach City, it was still a fun chapter to write. The chapter will be more important, so stay tuned.
