starbrandfan asked:

Can you do a Thanksgiving Sonamy and Taiream (Tails and Cream) prompt?

cutegirlmayra answered:

(Also, SORRY THIS IS SO LATE.)

Prompt:

"Sonic gets the first pick."

"That's not fair!"

"Did you cook it? No? Sonic?~"

"Hmph." Sonic quickly dashes his hand around the table before having a pretty decent portion.

The others blink their eyes in surprise, "Woah, I actually thought he would take most of it." Tails admits, before Sonic just shrugs.

"When it comes to Amy's meals, it's always Thanksgiving." he took a decent bite of his turkey, closing his eyes as he chewed.

"Savoring the meat. Are you sure you're not a pig?" Knuckles teased, before Cream sharply scolded him, making him cower a little and smile sheepishly.

"Mr. Knuckles! We do not call other people pigs unless they are pigs!" She nodded, as he unfolded his arms and rubbed the back of his head.

"Sorry, Cream."

"Yeah, manners. If anyone's calling anyone something…" Amy crossed her own arms and a small chuckled escaped the others lips.

"Is your mom not coming, Cream?" Tails kindly asked her. "Amy seems to have made all the food, so.."

Cream nodded solemnly. "Mama has a date tonight. I didn't want her to miss it, so we had our own Thanksgiving yesterday.." she looked down at her plate, and politely kept her elbows close to her and placed her hands on her empty plate. "Mama usually helped me with getting my food and helping me properly cut the meat.."

Tails, feeling down at hearing her saying that she sacrificed that for her mother, lowered his eyes before cheering up and smiling. "I can help you out, Cream." he kindly floated up with the twirl of his twin tails and started collecting food for her.

"I could help you too!" Amy excitedly piled food on the plate too, then helped herself.

Knuckles mostly took the grapes… and Tails was the last to get his food.

"Is it good?" Amy grinned, "Sonic?"

He was in food heaven, smiling goofily as he kept his eyes closed, having anime bubbles around his head, and swallowed.

"Uh-huh." he spiked another piece of meat, only going for the meat, and then shoved it all in his mouth at once. "I wike the fwat."

Amy sighed, before nodding, "Well, at least you're enjoying yourself."

She turned to see Tails showing Cream how to properly cut her meat, moving his hands to her own and Cream innocently following along.

"Ohh.." she looked surprised as Tails placed the knife between the gap of the fork.

This way, you're cuts are cleaner." His hands were comfortable over hers, and she felt secure with holding a knife thanks to his guidance.

Amy smiled, tilting her head and giggling. "Just a few more years… I think." she nodded as she spoke to herself.

"Few more years for what?" Knuckles was devouring the grapes and salad.

"KNUCKLES." an anger mark appeared on her head as she dipped it down, and then turned fiercely to him. "Could you please try the other food I made?"

"Oh… um… no thanks." he took the entire salad bowl, scooped some on his plate, looked at the contents in the bowl again, and held a hand over half of it, shaking the grapes and other loose toppings onto his plate.

Amy dropped her fork containing the stuffing on it and twitched her eyebrow.

"You can't touch the food!"

"Why are you so picky about how I eat?"

"Ugh!"

Sonic suddenly opened his eyes and silently watched the two fight, before then glaring slightly at Knuckles, "She made the food, Knux. Respect that much."

Amy turned with lovestruck eyes tenderly to Sonic, "You defended me!"

"I defended the cooking." he retorted, closing his eyes again to eat more turkey.

"Hmph!" Knuckles slouched in his chair, folding his arms and muttering, "You don't scold Sonic for only eating one thing…"

Sonic choked.

"Feet off the table, have some stuffing. Potatoes? You know he's right. You need to try more of my respectfully made cooking!"

Sonic watched her pile way too much food on his plate. He sweatdrop, chuckling nervously as his open smile twitched every now again at her obsessive 'babying' him. "I … uh… think that's enough corn, Amy.."

Cream opened her mouth to try something.

"Wait!" Tails worriedly moved the spoon over to him to blow on the gravy, then nodded to her. "Okay, now try it."

She smiled, "Thanks, Mr. Tails!" she took a happy bite.

Amy lifted a hand to her cheek, admiring the gesture. "Aw~ How adorable. Why don't you let me feed you Sonic?"

Before he could even move, Amy hooked her Hammer's gap around his chair and pulled his chair more forward towards the table.

The forceful action smashed his stomach into the table, making him cough harshly before Amy shoved a piled up portion of food into his mouth with his fork.

"HURK!"

"It's good, right?" she beamed, trying to be couply as he trembled from the previous pain, a chibi quiver in his eyes.

After the dinner, the boys chilled on the couch while Amy and Cream cleaned up the dishes, passing them into the sink.

"So… Cream… that was really nice of Tails to help you out today."

"Oh, definitely! Mr. Tails is very polite!" She looked over her shoulder, seeing Tails rocking Cheese who had stuffed his face with the leftovers, before handing him to Sonic who patted his back as he burped. "And Mr. Sonic is especially good with Cheese." she beamed.

Amy was drooling over the image of a baby in Sonic's arms instead.

She shook out of her fantasy, sweatdropping in embarrassment as Cream had turned back to look at her curiously.

"Oh, uh, y-yes. I think he'll be a better dad than he thinks." She nodded, before starting to wash off dishes, handing them to Cream who now put them in the dishwater.

"But uh… do you think… of Tails as your friend?"

"Oh yes!" Cream happily answered.

"…Do you think… maybe when you're older… that he could be even cute?"

"But Miss Amy…" Cream looked up at her, unaware of what Amy was implying. "He's already cute. Oh! I mean, Mama told me to say men are 'handsome'. Is that right?"

Amy almost broke a dish, smiling but also twitching at how oblivious Cream was but how cute her perfect little answer was. The dish slipped out of her gloved hands and landed with a splash in the sink.

Later, Amy gathered everyone around her shoebox. "Okay! Write on the slips of paper what you're grateful for!"

Everyone did so anonymously.

"Okay! I'll read them!" Amy drew one out. "'I'm grateful for food.' I wonder who that could be." Amy rolled her eyes.

"'I'm grateful for Tails's help today at Thanksgiving dinner!' Aw~" Amy held that close to her heart as she smiled at Cream, who nodded happily on the ground, her legs tucked lady-like under her.

"Let's see… 'I'm grateful for all my friends.' Hehe! That's mine." Amy blushed slightly before moving on.

"'I'm grateful for a life where I can be of help to my friends.' Oh, Tails…" she tilted her head tenderly to him.

"That means…" she drew the last one.

"'I'm thankful that you care about me eating right. That everyone can meet in a warm, cozy little home and do this thing every year. It's nice. I don't use this word very often, but I feel almost honored to be apart of this makeshift family we all made together.'…"

Everyone looked as Amy teared up.

Sonic turned away, smiling sheepishly and sweat-dropping in his nerves. "I.. wasn't aware we were reading them out loud… thought it was a time-capsule… or something."

"We do it every year…" Tails looked like he wasn't buying it.

Amy covered her mouth.

"…Can I keep this?"

"What for?" Sonic blinked his eyes to her.

"I'm going to make something with it." She happily smiled, the biggest and most heart-warming smile one could ever create.

Sonic froze to stare a moment and admire it's warmth, before looking away and shrugging, leaning on the armrest and then slouching back with his arms behind his head. "Eh, do what you want with it." He shrugged.

Amy made a handmade quilt, and hung it up, having some of Sonic's words but also adding, "We built this makeshift family."

(Hope that works, lol! Happy late Thanksgiving!)
