Chapter 43 Turning Tides

The Bad Guys' boat went across the sea being towed by Shark in his whale form. Snake pulled out his tiny magic mirror and contacted Tentacular.
"Hey boss man, we got the Instrument of Destruction and the heart of Ti Fiti for you and we're heading your way." Said Snake.
"Excellent Bad Guys I knew you were right for the job." Said Tentacular.
"On a side note, we had to kill Gutt." Said Wolf.
"Most unfortunate, oh well that's life. What matters is you got the treasure and we can destroy our enemies and reshape the world to what we want." Said Tentacular.
"Yeah. You got our pay." Said Snake.
"Of course, I am a monster of my word and I treat those who help me, very well." Said Tentacular.
"Good." Said Snake before Tentacular's face vanished from the mirror.
"Looks like it's smooth sailing from here on out." Said Piranha.
"Yep, soon will be living like kings." Said Snake.
Wolf stared at the Instrument of Destruction and the heart of Ti Fiti as he thought back to Moana and the others and the look of dismay on Moana's face. Wolf and his gang had robbed plenty of people over the years mainly humans and other monsters, but Moana and her little group had been different. They had been the Bad Guys' friends and they had gone on a crazy adventure together. Wolf actually felt guilty about robbing Moana and the others. He looked at Webs who looked back at him with her own guilty expression. Webs had actually liked hanging with Moana and the others, since it had been a nice change for her to hang with other women. Wolf looked at Piranha who also looked a bit conflicted about the situation and although Wolf couldn't see Shark since he was underwater, he was probably feeling a bit conflicted about the whole situation as well.
The only one who didn't really look too conflicted was Snake. Snake looked at his companions and sensed what was going on in their minds.
"Hey don't be getting ideas about going back to Moana and the others to return the treasure. We we're hired for a job and we did. Moana, Maui, Ruby, and Chelsea were just a means to help us get the job done nothing more." Said Snake.
"They were our friends." Said Wolf.
"Yeah, I guess that's admittedly true. I did like hanging with Maui, but we still got a job to do and let's not forget the kind of being our current client is and what he'll do to us if we go against him." Said Snake.
The other Bad Guys all shuddered at the thought of what a monster like Tentacular would do to them if they betrayed him.
"Yeah...there wouldn't be any where safe for us to go if we betrayed Tentacular." Said Wolf.
"I still don't like betraying Moana and the others." Said Webs.
"Duly noted." Said Snake.
"Maybe we can give only one of the treasures to Tentacular and give the other back to Moana and the others." Suggested Piranha.
"Can't do that, we already told Tentacular that we have both the Instrument of Destruction and the heart of Ti Fiti." Said Snake.
"We could make up a story and said one of the treasures was stolen from us on the way to Tortuga." Suggested Webs.
"No that's still too risky." Said Wolf.
"Looks like we don't have much choice, but to give the treasures to Tentacular." Said Piranha.
The Bad Guys hung their heads in defeat, except Snake.
"Hey we're still getting paid and will be famous throughout the sea." Said Snake.
The thought of getting rich and famous did cheer the Bad Guys up, but they still felt guilty about what they did.
Elsewhere, Gutt and Dave's crews were all groaning and moaning as they clung to the wrecked remains of Gutt's ship. Dave managed to find Gutt's magic mirror and used it to contact Umibozo, Iku Turso, and Leviathan and tell the trio of monsters what happened and how Gutt was defeated by the Instrument of Destruction. The trio of powerful sea monsters found this very interesting.
"Thank you for this vital information Dave. You have helped us a great deal." Said Umibozo.
"You're welcome sir. Will you send me and the others a boat or something to help us?" Said Dave.
"I'm afraid there's no time for that. We have other matters to attend to and we must move quickly." Said Umibozo before ending the call.
Dave just floated in the water looking both surprised and annoyed that his master wasn't going to send him and the others any aid.
"We're on our own aren't we?" Asked Squint floating on a piece of driftwood.
"I'm afraid so. Luckily we got someone we can use as a makeshift boat." Said Dave looking at the giant form of David just floating nearby.
Some time later all the pirates and crew were sitting on David's back as David swam looking for the nearest island, so the crews could cut down some trees and build a new ship for themselves. Dave and Squirt both hated Maui and his allies, but had decided they were just simply too much trouble to peruse and began to make other plans for themselves and their crews.
Elsewhere Umibozo, Iku Turso, and Leviathan were traveling through the sea, when they got a call from Tentacular informing them about the Bad Guys' success. The trio of monsters pretended that this was the first time hearing about the news and that they were happy about it before they ended the call. They continued swimming as they discussed some business.
"The Instrument of Destruction can affect and control monsters with kraken blood." Said Umibozo.
"It was used on Gutt after he transformed and he only had some kraken blood in him, due that potion." Said Iku Turso.
"So if we got the Instrument of Destruction first we can use it to control Tentacular who is half kraken." Said Leviathan.
"Then we won't have to share the world with him." Said Umibozo.
"I like the idea of Tentacular being our puppet and not an equal." Said Iku Turso.
"We must get the Instrument of Destruction first then we can see about riding the sea of both krakens and mermaids." Said Leviathan.
"Agreed." Said the other monsters.
With that said the trio of terrors put on a extra burst of speed as they used their advanced senses to locate Tortuga and hopefully find the Bad Guys on the way there to claim both the Instrument of Destruction and the heart of Ti Fiti for themselves.
