Response: "I think it's time, Miss Rose, to come face to face with facts." the man circled her, and finally threw out his cane to block any movement of her hammer she was attempting to make. He smiled, under his slick grey hat. "I know as well as the next man does… mess with Sonic's friends… and you get the hero himself…"
"You've made a mistake." Amy glared back at him, lowering her hammer to her side, as he lowered his cane. His face was out of view, and by the look of his nicely striped grey tweed suit, it was hard to tell if he was man or animal…
He watched her closely, his hat dipped just enough to where she couldn't see his eyes…
"And why do you say that?"
Sonic raced down the streets of the old metropolis, overrun with a new mafia that almost out-swingled Eggman… the Doc could of met his fate with the fishes…
Swarmed with rogue robots, Sonic spinned dashed, slid to avoid a hammered metal arm swing down at him, and burst through a line of batniks.
All the while… the speakers sparked to life… in this cold, and dreary doomsday.
"I think you have me puzzled." The man tilted his head just slightly back, barely showing a neckline… "Where have I been deceived? You're here aren't you?" he flicked his cane up to gesture to her, and started to walk around her again. "A pretty prize, for a pretty plan."
"…You've chosen the wrong girl." Amy turned her head back. "You think Sonic will take this likely? After all the threats you threw at Eggman… do you really think he'd let you get away with this so… so easily?"
The man stopped walking, his cane pinged the ground as it landed to a halt as well with the man's steps.
He grimaced.
She smiled, and turned to face him at an angle. "Sonic's… like the wind."
Sonic blazed through the streets, a glorious blue. His rapid pace was shown with a close up, his mouth curling into a grin.
"He's lightning… and more dangerous than you can possibly imagine."
He bolted through another horde of larger robots, all bending down to try and get him, before exploding as lights of blue overlapped their scrappy hides as they exploded from the battle blows, as he continued.
"He's… the-"
"The Blue Blur?" the man smirked. "And what? I made a mistake by challenging him? By taking his precious Rose…" he lifted his hand to her face, but she stepped back, withdrawing, and raising her chin up and out of his reach.
This only provoked him more in his spoils… "heheheh… Plucked you right out of your little garden of splendor. Where he's been hiding you all these years.."
The lights suddenly, one by one, flickered out.
"W-what!?"
"You kidnapped the 'love interest', bub. Even Eggman learned a loooong time ago that that's a bad idea." Amy squinted her eyes, and then looked to the now fizzing monitors.
"What is-!? No!" The man ran to the monitors, as they all shut down. One… by… one.
"Get a grip, whoever you are! Sonic's a hero! But most importantly, he's a hedgehog who's going to stop you and rescue me! What makes you any different than those robots?! Threaten me one more time, and see what he can do, without saying a word." she gestured her arms out, confident that this was Sonic's doing.
The man was in a bit of a panic now, and turned to her. "You're bluffing. He has no idea where you are!"
"..Sonic will always come for me. You said so yourself. And as I told you-…"
Sonic smirked, hearing her voice over the intercom.
"He is the wind."
Sonic had scaled up the tower and burst through a window, a gust of wind came spiraling in on the two. They covered their faces as the man slowly raised his arm down, before an insane look of excitement came over, as he saw the object of his desire get up, pull down his gloves a little more, tightening them, and look up to him.
"Thanks for the flattery, Amy. But buffing me up in public might be a bit much." he jogged in place, bouncing from one foot in front of him, to the other, getting pumped for a fight. "Let me show him your words aren't in vain, although, you did make me feel pretty epic." he did a pun on the word 'vain' and winked at her.
Amy put her hands behind her, swaying to and fro girlishly, as she was thrilled her hero had come for her! She smugly walked by the tweed suit man, waving as she smiled, and went up to Sonic. "You never do fail me." she beamed, glad she had stalled so long. "But.." she leaned forward, putting a hand up so the man couldn't hear her whispered words, "How'd you do the trick with cutting out the lights?" she asked.
He blinked twice, "What lights?"
She suddenly realized that he was unaware of all the damage he'd caused the tower, and just let it go. "Never mind, just keep being awesome." She waved it off and started to walk to the window, where Tails flew up in his X-Tornado, a ladder coming down for her.
"I never fail to impress." he looked back behind him, and winked her a reassurance. "And really, Amy? Wind and Lightning? What were you gonna say next? To fast for the naked eye?"
She rolled her eyes, nothing she said would have been enough, would it?
He turned back to the man. "Now, I don't know what other things Amy told you." he stretched, moving his arms first, then putting his hand up and slamming a fist into it. "But I'm here to prove it's all the FACTS."
As Amy got into the X-Tornado, she strapped herself in, as the camera came in for a slow angle; a close up. "He better take me on a date for this.." now that she was out of harms way, she was free to let herself fall back and release all the tension she had built up in that moment of fear.
Oh, but she played it off, so, so well.
