Response: The air was thick today, a sudden breeze pulled Amy's eyes to wake up,… she blinked and looked around her, her gaze coming back as she tried to remember what had happened before…
-flashback- ~ Warm nights~ almost left behind-..wait.-
Amy looked to the skies, worried stricken as the Egg-Bomb-Planeteer exploded all over the fading sunset sky.
"Soooonnniiiccc!" Amy cried out with the explosion, putting an arm up as she held back any tears from unwanted thoughts that began to dare fill her mind.
When the explosion finally ended, she scanned the slightly darkening sky again, now covered in balls of fire from falling debris and ashes that made the sky look like a giant storm cloud.
The X-Tornado flew over her, heading towards the explosion site in the sky, as she stepped forward a bit, before falling to her knees.
She took her hands and held them together, swallowing back any fear with the hope of return and success.
When the air came back, rushing her hair past her, she heard feet fall as if stepping.
"Amy."
She opened her eyes and looked up.
A triumphant Super Sonic stood before her, smiling kindly at her gesture of wishing him safely home.
"S…Sonic…"
"I told you, didn't I?" He struck a heroic and iconic pose, shaking a pointer finger up at her. "I don't forget a promi-"
She quickly jumped up and tackled him, making him stumble but regain his balance, looking to her, a little awkwardly, but nodding his head.
"Woah, easy there, Amy…"
Amy cried out her worries in her usual crying voice, before ducking her head down into his shoulder.
"You also promised something else, too! Something you said would only be between you and me."
He looked confused, "Huh?" he turned his head more to her, not sure what or when that promise was made. "Uhh.." He looked away, slowly. Embarrassed that his last statement of 'never forgetting' might be short-lived.
"Remind me real quick what that was-"
She turned and kissed his cheek, cutting him off once more before the X-Tornado flew by again, and the camera followed it's movements.
"Do you see them?" Tails asked Knuckles in the backseat, looking down but unable to see them from so high up.
"Uhhh..I think the real question is, do they see us?"
"Huh? What do you- WOAH!"
Tails had to bank a hard left as a spiral of a blast shot up by them, almost like a shooting star, as Sonic and Amy held one another and laughed, zooming through the darkening sky…
-End flashback-
Amy put her hand to her head, "Oh, yeah… that's right… We flew all night…" she looked up, seeing that Sonic must of seen she fell asleep on one of his 'gentler' glides and must of put her down.
She smiled, before slightly flinching, straightening her back, before slowly pulling a hand… up to her lips.
She had almost forgotten the soft goodbye kiss, that he thought she didn't feel because she was asleep, but it had gently woke her up just for her to remember the next morning~
