I own nothing

Aegon and Joanna sat at the high table at Robb's and Marleina's wedding feast. Marleina was dancing in the center of the dance floor. They looked very much in love, well, at least lust. Love would grow. Shireen was dancing with Ser Arstan Arryn. She was dressed in Baratheon colors while he wore Arryn blue. Sansa was dancing with Prince Gendry, and they looked like they were in love. But that made sense in many ways, they had time to develop their relationship. Gendry looked at Sansa like she hung the moon. Sansa wore a pale silver gown with dark grey direwolves sewn into the bodice. Gendry was dressed in Baratheon colors. Lyarra was off to the side, talking with Jaime. She was dressed in a pale lilac Dornish-style gown. At the same time, Jaime was dressed in Lannister colors. Jon was dancing with Lady Valla Velaryon. Jon was dressed in Stark colors while Valla wore a sea-green gown with white seahorse patterns. They did make a striking pair. Rhaenys was dancing with Ser Dastan. Rhaenys was in a blood red gown with a copper sun hairpin in her dark hair. Piper was dancing with Lord Edmure Tully. Piper was dressed in a dark purple southern-style gown while Edmure was dressed in Tully colors. Ironically, the Tully colors, if mixed, would make a dark purple. Jenye was talking with Willas Tyrell. Willas was dressed in Tyrell green. Jenye was dressed in a golden gown with seashells on the bodice. Joy and Tyrek were dancing. They were both dressed in Lannister colors. Eleana and Tyrion were talking to each other. Sarella was dancing with Lord Addam Hawthrone. Elinor was flirting with Jenye's older brother, Raynald Westerling. Arwyn was talking with Patrek Mallister, Piper's brother. Joanna's eye traveled to where Theon was talking up Lady Alys Royce. Ryella was making eyes with Ser Cletus Yronwood. Tywin sat by her side. By Aegon's side were Lord Ned Stark and Lady Catelyn Stark. Joanna ate a piece of orange cake as she watched them dance. Aegon looked at Lyarra and Jon with a new look in his eyes. He could see himself and Rhaenys in them slightly. Tywin leaned over to whisper to her.

"You have done well for yourself," Tywin commented. She gave him a look. He pointed to most of her ladies in waiting pairing off with good matches. "Your Ladies all are on their way to make good marriages," Tywin commented.

"It is part of my job, grandsire," Joanna said.

Tywin looked back at the crowd. A frown came across his face. He noticed the way Tyrion kept looking up at Joanna and himself every once in and while. She looked over to Tywin when she caught the look on his face.

"You put more trust in me than Tyrion," Tywin stated.

"It's not necessarily trust grandsire. You have served a multitude of people as the hand of the King. And we are at War. Why shouldn't we trust our Master of War?" Joanna stated.

"I feel Tyrion does not feel that way," Tywin told her, taking a drink of his wine.

"He can feel how he likes. His job is to advise us not to rule. And advise us he does," Joanna said off-handedly.

Joanna gave Tywin a look. It was as clear as day to Tywin. What was left unsaid, Joanna had much bigger worries than making sure her uncle and Hand felt okay with their decisions. She was pregnant with twins, which was a danger to her. She carried the next king or queen of the Seven Kingdoms. She was at war with her bastard half-brother. Lord Stark had just revealed that Aegon had two half-siblings. Aegon had been reunited with his sister. Janei was still traumatized. And they were preparing to invade Essos. All of this weighed heavily on her mind.

Marleina and Robb left the room to consummate their marriage. They had agreed that there would be no bedding ceremony. Joanna, once they left the room, leaned over to whisper in Aegon's ear.

"I'm going to get from fresh air," Joanna told him.

Aegon turned to look at her. He had a concerned look on his face. His hand went to the baby bump. Joanna leaned up and kissed him. She mouthed "we are fine". He nodded his head. He kissed her again before she rose. When Joanna stood, the music stopped.
"Please continue," Joanna ordered.

Joanna was standing outside in the bailey of Riverrun. The bailey was lit by torchlight. She was looking at the night sky. Dragons were dancing overhead. She was breathing and thinking. She knew what she told Lord Stark was the best for her and Aegon, but was it the best for Lyarra and Jon? Lyarra had become a very close friend to Joanna. How would their reaction to the news affect them? What if a dragon claimed them? Jon had not been around any dragon since they were babies, and her ladies had been closer to them than Jon was.

"I thought I would find you here," Janei said, coming to stand next to Joanna.

Joanna looked over at Janei. She was dressed in a Lannister red modest gown. It was much more modest than Joanna had ever seen her wear. Her hair was down in loose curls. She looked more at ease than Joanna had seen her since their meeting with the dragons. She was finally letting her guard down.

"What can I do for you, Janei?" Joanna asked, going into queen mode.

"Cannot cousins just converse?" Janei teased. Joanna smiled at Janei. Janei took a deep breath before looking up at the stars. "I have decided to keep my child. I want your protection, and I would like Ser Lorent to serve me as my personal guard, sworn shield, and sword. I know he has made Kingsguard vows to you," Janei told her.

Janei and Joanna exchange a look. They spoke without saying a word. Ser Lorent had kept Janei safe. If he made her feel safe away from Joanna. She would do anything for her cousin. If that meant releasing Ser Lorent from his vows.

"You would wed him," Joanna asked.

"I would not want to burden him with me. I may never be able to lay with another man," Janei admitted.

"Ser Edric, could you bring me Ser Lorent?" Joanna asked the guard who followed her.

"Joanna, what are you doing?" Janei asked.

"I am seeing what Ser Lorent feels on the matter. I want to know if I allow this marriage, if he will love and protect the child you now carry like it were his own." Joanna told her.

"But Joanna, I may not ever be able to bed him or have his child," Janei told her.

"He made vows to never father a child now. Do you really think he would care about that fact?" Joanna asked.

Ser Lorent came into the bailey. He bowed to Joanna and Janei. He stayed on his knees before Joanna.

"You wanted to see me, Your Majesty, Lady Janei?" Ser Lorent asked.

"Lady Janei has asked me to have your service transferred to her. She has decided to keep the child she now carries. I want to know what your feelings are for our cousin. Do you feel something more than family love? Would you protect this child with your life and her like it were my own? If you do feel beyond family love, you have deeper feelings. Know her marriage to my bastard half-brother will be declared null and void. I would release you from your vows. I know those vows are made for life. But I know the only true way to protect her completely from the scorn of faith of seven is for her to be wed again. She has told me that she only feels safe with you," Joanna explained.

"My Queen, I do not know what to say," Ser Lorent told her. He looked up at Janei, his own eyes meeting Janei's eyes. They had become extremely close in their time together. She was a beautiful woman. He did not know what his feelings for Janei were. Part of him saw her as his young cousin, but another part of him saw her like a husband saw a wife. "I would protect her and any child she would carry like it was my own or yours, Your Grace. If you wish me to, I would wed her here and now," Lorent told them.

"Before you agree to this, know she may never be able to carry your child or even be able to bed with you without fear," Joanna cautioned.

"My answer is still the same. I never expected to have children of my own. We can work through anything together," Ser Lorent said confidently.

"Go see Septon Melvan now. I hereby declare the marriage between Lady Janei of House Lannister and Joffrey Hill, also known as Joffrey Baratheon, null and void," Joanna ordered.

"You want us to marry now," Lorent and Janei said at the same time.

"This way, your child could be claimed to be his, not Joffrey. Only I, Aegon, Rhaenys, Dastan and you both will know the truth. This way I can protect you," Joanna told them.

Ser Lorent and Janei exchanged looks. He rose to his feet, taking her arm. They head off toward the Sept in Riverrun to get married. Joanna smiled, watching them walk off arm in arm. That was at least one thing she did not have to worry about. Joanna looked back at the star, seeking their counsel. She heard footsteps approaching. She turned and looked at who was approaching. It was her uncle Tyrion.

"Need some air," Tyrion questioned.

"I was seeking the counsel of the stars," Joanna laughed.

"You know I can help you," Tyrion told her.

"I know, Uncle, I do," Joanna told him.

"Recently, you remind me so much of my father and your grandsire. I am afraid you have lost sight of the true you," Tyrion told her.

"I know, uncle. You think I take his advice over yours. It's not that, really, uncle. Jaime was the one to advise me to use the dragons. We are at war, I know you want what's best for all of us. But war is not kind or clean. And as much as I hate to admit it, Lord Tywin knows how to win wars. I have to think about the long game, not just what looks best now. Essos is meant to end. I truly don't want to take Essos. But I also cannot let anything happen to Aegon or my children, uncle. So, if that means reforming Valyria, so be it," Joanna explained to him with tears in her eyes.

Tyrion watched her face in the firelight. It was the first time in a long time that he saw the mask fall off. The scared young woman was standing before him, not the strong, confident queen he had come to know. There was a look in her blue-green eyes that made him understand. She was overthinking every move she made. She was thinking of ways that this could be used against her. So many things had become out of her control. Which, in turn, terrified her. Joanna's hand trailed to the swell of her baby bump.

"Joanna, everything will be alright," Tyrion reassured her.

"Am I making the right decisions?" Joanna asked.

"You're doing what you and Aegon feel is best. You are doing the best you can in this, sweet girl. No one prepares you for civil war," Tyrion reassured her.

"Leave Us," Joanna ordered the Kingsguard and the guards in the bailey. They all bowed quickly and left them. The ones on the watch went back to their post inside. Tyrion looked at her in shock. She turned and looked at Tyrion. She knew that she would only have moments before Aegon would come out here when he saw the Kingsguard back inside without her. "What I am about to tell you cannot be repeated to anyone, and I mean anyone. Not Jaime or grandsire or Elaena. I mean anyone. Tonight, someone revealed to Aegon and I that Aegon has half-siblings. They do not know their true parentage. I have ordered them not to be told. They seem happy with their lives. We agreed to tell them if a dragon claims them. Did I make the right choice?" Joanna questioned.

"Lyarra and Jon," Tyrion said softly.

"Yes," Joanna admitted.

Tyrion thought about his words for a long moment. It had to be Lord Eddard Stark who told Aegon and Joanna. There were moments he questioned their heritage. Especially Lyarra's uncommon beauty. No dragon has claimed them as of yet. He was under the impression that Ned told them that they were his older brother's children with Ashara Dayne. They did seem happy with that knowledge. To take that away from them seemed wrong. He could see why Joanna's world was spiraling. First, it was Rhaenys being alive now, two more of Rhaegar's children. Did Rhaegar divorce Elia or did he follow the doctrine of Exceptionalism and take two wives, or was Lyanna truly a victim of rape? Did she go willingly? Did she love him? She said what she said in the moment, but now her mind was racing with possible outcomes.

"No one can truly know the future, My Queen. Aegon and you did what you think is best in this. I know you will not treat them differently now. I can see that in the way you treated Tommen and Myrcella before you knew she was truly your sister, not just your half-siblings, like you thought they were." Tyrion told her.

"Thank you," Joanna said.

"Come, let's go inside before Aegon freaks out. And I promise you this will stay between us. Just try to come to me and or the rest of your council before you do anything rash again," Tyrion offered her his arm. Joanna took his arm, looking back at the stars one last time. She laughed, shaking her head. Tyrion gave her a look. "What did you do?" Tyrion asked.

"I wore to Uncle Kevan. Informing him that his sons, Martyn and Williem are now wards of the crown. And I have Janei. I know he loves his family. I am sure he is losing his mind thinking of his little girl lost out in the world. I am giving him the same chance I gave Aunt Genna." Joanna told him as they started to make their way inside.

"Which is?" Tyrion asked.

"Bend the knee to me or burn. He is to stay in King's Landing as my spy. I am trying to think of a way to get Tommen out," Joanna answered as they stopped at the door.

"Do you think that is wise?" Tyrion asked her.

"Only time will tell. He is family; it felt only right. Before, I make myself a kinslayer thrice over. Also, Lady Janei is currently married to Ser Lorent Marbrand as we speak. It is to keep her safe. She is pregnant with Joffrey's child, but Lorent will claim it as his own," Joanna told him with a smile on her face as she saw Rhaenys in deep conversation with Prince Oberyn. At least they seemed to be getting along. Rhaenys had her family back. Joanna's eyes went to where Jon and Lyarra were. They seemed happy enough talking with Ned and Catelyn. Tyrion looked at her in shock. She caught his look. "She needs protection from all the slander of her being an unwed mother. He makes her feel safe. That's all I can ask," Joanna admitted.

"Joanna," Tyrion and Aegon said at the same time.

Aegon came over to her. He took her in his arms, kissing her. His hand lingered on her belly. He felt his children kick. Tyrion bowed to the pair, knowing Joanna's and his conversation was at an end. He walked off towards Elaena, who was speaking with Tywin. They seemed to get along well enough. In another world, where Jaime was Tywin's heir, Elaena would be what he would want in a bride for him. He was pleased, even if he never admitted it, that Tyrion had found Elaena. Aegon smiled as he saw his uncle Oberyn talking with Rhaenys.

"How are you?" Aegon asked.

"We are fine. I just needed some air. And taking counsel of the stars. My mind has gotten away from me. I needed to ground myself; being in this happy crowd was too much for me," Joanna admitted.

"What did you and Lord Tyrion talk about? He seems annoyed with you," Aegon stated.

"Nothing and everything. He was worried that I had lost myself," Joanna told him.

Joanna looked over to Jon and Lyarra, then back to Aegon. Aegon caught where she was looking. He understood what she was talking about with Tyrion. That's why she cleared out the bailey. The fewer people who knew, the better. But she needed someone outside of this mess to counsel her. Tyrion was a wise man.

"How about we retire for the night?" Aegon suggested.

Joanna smiled up at him as Aegon hugged her from behind. They walked off towards their chambers.

Kevan sat in his chambers, he had letters from all the free cities in Essos in front of him. Lys, Myr, and Pentos had gone the way of Volantis, deciding against sending the plans for scorpions. The few who did send the plans were quickly thrown into a raging fire in his room. He would not leave the room until they were nothing but dust. He quickly wrote a note to Joanna detailing which of the Free Cities had answered King's Landing. He tucked his letter into his doublet. He picked up his papers. He looked over to the fireplace. Nothing was left of the plans in flames, visible. It was just a raging fire; the weather had turned colder with each passing day. He walked out of the Tower of the Hand. He paused in the courtyard where he spotted Margaery flirting with Joffrey. They looked to be having a picnic lunch in the gardens. Her head was in his lap. He was feeding her pieces of fruit.

"Disturbing isn't," Lord Varys commented.

"Very, he is not at all concerned with his wife or their possible unborn child," Kevan commented, looking over to Lord Varys.

"Do you believe Queen Janei is still alive? Not a hide or hair of her has been found or seen," Lord Varys said.

"As a father, I can only hope that she is. And that she is happy wherever she may be," Kevan answered him.

Lord Varys gave him a look. He noticed that he had not addressed Janei as queen in their conversation. Only Joffrey's wife and his daughter. That was interesting. It made Lord Varys question if Kevan knew more than he let on. And maybe even had changed sides in this war. Although it was Kevan's idea for the scorpions. Nothing had come from that. Lord Varys knew that Pentos, Lys, Myr, and Volantis had not decided to give that information. But he had words from his little birds that the others had sent the plans. But Kevan had not reported it to the council. Or began spending money on the construction of them. He would have to watch Kevan more closely.

Sansa was getting dressed for her wedding in her chamber in Riverrun. Catelyn was putting the finishing touches to her hair. It was styled beautifully in a mix of Northern and Southern style. A knock sounded at the door. Catelyn and Sansa exchanged looks.

"Who is?" Catelyn called out.

"Ser Barristan Selmy, My Ladies, with a gift from King and Queen," Ser Barristan answered.

"A gift," Sansa said in shock.

Catelyn opened the door. Ser Barristan bowed slightly to them before he walked over to the vanity placing what looked like a large box on the top of it. He bowed again, leaving them. Sansa's hands trembled and she opened the lid of it. Inside was what looked like a crown of blue winter roses, only they were made from metal and jewels. Everyone in the room gasped at the sight of the crown.

"Mother" Sansa said with trembling in her voice.

"You are marrying into the Royal Family. It is only right that they gift you a crown," Catelyn told her.

Catelyn placed the crown on top of Sansa's hair. They both looked in the mirror at her reflection. Sansa's creamy pale skin was on full display with her shoulders exposed. Around her neck was her maiden cloak with Stark and Tully images in their respective colors. The closure of the cloak was a silver direwolf. The gown was made of silver and white rich satin and silks. The top of the gown looked like ice crystals in a diamond pattern. The bodice was lined with white diamonds and came to a point. It had long, tight sleeves that came to a point on her hands. The skirt of the gown was full a-line with a sheer overlay of ice blue with diamonds on it, making it look like stars in the sky. She looked the very image of Northern Princess.

Gendry was getting ready in his chambers in Riverrun. His sisters, Joanna and Myrcella were helping him put the finishing touches to his outfit. He was fastening his livery collar around his black doublet that was dotted with gold fabric. The collar was made of gold and had rubies and topaz in it. It came to a point at the center of his chest with a large hanging stag head. He looked over to his sisters both of them were laughing at his serious face as he tried to fasten the collar. Joanna's long, dark hair was mostly down in her loose curls on her head was White Hart crown. Around her neck was the necklace that the Martell's had gifted her. She was dressed in a square neckline black gown that had a large image of a Stag and Lion meeting in the center of her bodice. That was outlined in rubies, and topazes set in golden thread. The neckline was trimmed in the same stones. The sleeves were long and tight around her arms, with golden panels on the sides of them. The skirt was full and dotted with black diamonds and golden topazes. On her ring finger was her large ruby ring, which was Princess Elia Martell's. She looked the very image of a Baratheon Queen. Even as she teased him. Myrcella laughed by her side. Her golden curls were styled nicely down. She had a small circlet on top of her head with the image of a stag with antlers around it. While Joanna's gown was mostly black, Myrcella's was mostly gold with black accents. It too had a square neckline and long sleeves. But while Joanna's was tight, Myrcella's was loose and sheer. It was a more youthful gown. She wore a necklace with the Martell symbol around her neck in copper. The skirt of the gown was flowy and made in Dornish style. She had a belt around the waist with onyxes, rubies.

"Jo, maybe we should leave him be," Myrcella laughed.

"Alright, Myrcella, sweetheart, why don't you go see if Shireen is ready?" Joanna relented.

Joanna walked over to Gendry. She gave him a look, fastened his collar, then made sure it was on straight. Myrcella left the room. Gendry sat down in a chair with a nervous look on his face. Joanna handed him a pieces of paper to Gendry's hands. Gendry unrolled them. He looked at her in shock.

"Joanna cannot accept this," Gendry said.

"You can and you will. It is my and Aegon's desire that your children will be known as Princes and Princesses of the realm. And besides, you helped us take the Twins, why should we not gift it to your second child, male or female," Joanna told him.

"All the same, Joanna, this is too much," Gendry told her.

"Is it? Myrcella is to wed Prince Trystanne Martell all her children will be known as Princes or Princesses. We plan to give Rhaenys the same honor as her future children. Just you are now, Prince Gendry Baratheon, Prince of Storm's End and Lord Paramount of Stormlands. She will be Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, Lady of Seabright. Her children will be princes and princesses, lord or lady of Seabright as well," Joanna told him.

Joanna gave Gendry a look. Her blue-green eyes locked on his bright blue eyes. He saw there was no arguing with her. A knock sounded at the door. Gendry gave her a look. She was up to something; he was sure of it.
"Enter," Joanna ordered

Lord Tywin entered the room. In his hand was a box that was large enough to house a crown. He was dressed in his Lannister regalia. He looked every bit the Lord Paramount of Westerland and Lord Casterly Rock. Tywin looked at Gendry, he could see his mother in him. He opened the box. Inside was a simple yet dramatic crown. It looked like a stag meeting a lion made of what looked like weathered gold. Joanna took the crown from the box. She placed it on Gendry's head.

"Now you look like a Prince of the Realm," Joanna told him with a kiss on his cheek.

Gendry looked in the Mirror in shock. He went to argue, but by the time he found his voice, Tywin and Joanna had left, leaving him to his thoughts.

The Sept of Riverrun was filled with people. Gendry stood up with Joanna and Septon Melvan. Septon Melvan was reciting holy readings and texts of the Faith of Seven. Aegon was dressed in his full Targaryen regalia. He had the crown that looked like Aegon the Conqueror's crown on his head. His long silver-blonde hair was styled back with a leather tie. He stood by Rhaenys. She was dressed in a high scoop neckline gown that was mostly black. The bodice was sewn to look like dragon scales. It had red and gold dragons trimming the neckline and end of the bodice and bands above her elbows. Below the bands were blood-red bell sleeves above the bands was black dragon-scaled rich fabric. The skirt was full. It had the same dragon-scale pattern with black diamonds on the hemline. Her hair was styled in a loose braid with a Circlet of Gold, Copper, and Silver mixed to form a three-headed dragon in the center. By Rhaenys' side was Prince Oberyn and his daughters, along with Prince Trystanne and Princess Myrcella. On the other side of the aisle were Tully and the Stark Family. Lyarra and Jon stood behind Catelyn and Arya. There was a spot for Ned to stand by Catelyn. Edmure and Bryden stood next to them. Robb and Marleina were standing next to Arya and Catelyn. Robb and Jon looked proud in their Stark Regalia. Marleina was dressed in a northern-style gown in dark blue trimmed in silver. It had direwolves patterns on the bodice. Lyarra was dressed in a dark purple and silver gown in northern style with direwolf clasps down the center of it. A gasp was heard, causing most to turn and look as Sansa made her entrance.

Sansa, on the arm of Lord Eddard Stark, walked down the aisle. He was dressed in full Stark regalia. He had Ice strapped to his back. Ned was standing closer to Gendry than Sansa was to Gendry when they came to a stop in front of Septon Melvan. Gendry stepped down to the pair. Ned placed Sansa's hand in Gendry's. Tears were welling up in his eyes as he watched his little girl walk up to Septon.

"You may now cloak the bride and bring her under your protection." Septon Melvan stated.

Gendry removed her maiden cloak; Ned took it before he walked over to Catelyn. Catelyn linked arms with him. They both had the same look on their faces. Joanna handed Gendry the Baratheon cloak. It was jewel-encrusted. It was a work of art; it was the same one that Robert had used to wed Cersei and Steffon to wed Cassana. The gem work was not it at the time, but Joanna had done so. Joanna stepped down and over to Aegon. Gendry tied the cloak around Sansa's shoulders. Gendry and Sansa joined hands.

"Let it be known that Prince Gendry of House Baratheon and Lady Sansa of House Stark are one heart, one flesh, one soul. Cursed be he who would seek to tear them asunder," Septon said as he tied the ribbon around their hands. He placed his hand on the joined hands. "In the sight of the Seven, I hereby seal these two souls, binding them as one for eternity," Septon Melvan announced.

Septon Melvan untied the ribbon. He placed it on the altar of the seven. He turned back to the congregation. He looked at Sansa and Gendry.

"Look upon each other and say the words," Septon Melvan ordered.

Sansa and Gendry looked at each other. They had so much love in their eyes for each other. Aegon squeezed Joanna's hand. She looked at him quickly with tears in her eyes. She mouthed the words I love you.

"Father, Smith, Warrior, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Stranger," They repeated together.

"I am hers and she is mine. From this day, until the end of my days," Gendry said while Sansa said, "I am his and he is mine. From this day, until the end of my days,"

"With this kiss, I pledge my love," Gendry announced.

Gendry leaned down, capturing Sansa's mouth with his own. It was a sweet and innocent kiss, but there was longing for more. They pulled away from each other and they rested their forehead against each other. They both wore huge smiles on their faces.

"My King, My Queen, and my lords, my ladies, we stand here in the sight of gods and men to witness the union of man and wife. One flesh, one heart, one soul, now and forever," Septon Melvan announced.

Alerie sat with Olenna in the gardens of High Garden. They had taken over, ruling it while Mace had taken to his bed with an "illness". The Maester had done everything for the man, but he seemed to be wasting away. They had not convinced him not to support Margaery's desire to be queen, no matter the cost. Alerie had taken matters into her own hands with her close relationship with the Citadel.

"I think I should go to King's Landing. Maybe I can talk some sense into the girl and her brother," Olenna suggested.

"The Royal party will be coming here in two moons at most," Alerie said, moving a piece of her straight white-blonde hair from her face that the wind blew.

"You will have everything well at hand," Olenna told her.

There was a knowing look in Olenna's eyes. She knew that Alerie and the maesters were behind her son's illness. But it was a necessary evil. House Tyrell needed to survive. They could not hope to survive the wraith of dragons, which is what they would be facing if they sided with Margaery's desire. As it stood now, if Olenna was lucky enough to convince her granddaughter to forego this foolish desire. They would be lucky to wed her to a lord of Reach. Loras, maybe, if all went well, could take the Black. That would only be because of the close nature of Willas and Jenye's relationship with Queen Joanna. There were not many stories of Joanna's mercy, there were more of her vengeance, the Vale, and Twins being prime examples. But Joanna, in both cases, had spared the innocent at least that was what Olenna and Alerie hoped. There had been no word on any survivors from the burning of the Twins.

"Don't you wish to meet the Queen and King?" Alerie asked.

"I have seen dragons before. I was set to wed one. Seeing one in flesh compared to the skulls that lined the Throne Room in King's Landing is enough for me. I have no doubt I will meet them in time," Olenna told Alerie.

"All the same," Alerie started.

"Alerie, you are a lady from House Hightower. Your family has married the Targaryen family multiple times. Mind you, not all of them turned out well. You have the fire in you. I have no doubt you can handle both my son and greeting the Royal Family, including dragons," Olenna stated.

Alerie took a sip of her tea. Olenna's words sank into her mind. She knew who she spoke of, Lady Ceryse Hightower and Lady Allicent Hightower. The first was wed to Maegor the Cruel, and she was deemed to be infertile. While the second led to the dance of the dragons. Lady Rhaena Targaryen married Garmund Hightower. They had six daughters, one of whom was a very distant relative.

The great hall of Riverrun was full of celebration. Aegon and Joanna were dancing along with Sansa and Gendry. The wedding feast was set to go on for hours. As the song ended, Aegon took Joanna's arm as they headed to the high table. Tywin greeted them as they sat down. Tywin had a somewhat sad, far-off look on his face.

"What is it, Grandsire?" Joanna asked.

"I missed your wedding, I twice over," Tywin told her.

Joanna took his hand, squeezing it. Aegon raised his goblet to the couple. A cheer went up throughout the hall.

"I know it no wedding. But when this is all said and done. And we have taken King's Landing. We plan to have a grand coronation. You could crown me or walk me down the main hall to the thrones," Joanna suggested.

"I like that my dark-haired lioness," Tywin said, taking their joined hand, kissing the top of it.

Joanna smiled as she looked out at the crowd. She knew the next few moons, maybe even years, might be difficult. War was never easy. And what they plan to do has not been done before. Then there was the women's battlefield that lay ahead for her, sooner than most, with her carrying twins. She prayed to the Fourteen to give her and Aegon the strength to do what was necessary. For she knew in her gut that this war was just the beginning. They had brought dragons back into this world for a reason.

A crying baby lay on the cold, snowy ground. Suddenly, a White Walker with what looked like an ice crown stepped forward. He picked up the baby. As he touched the child's face, the baby once brown eyes turned an unnatural shade of icy blue. The pale child turned nearly ice white-blue as his eyes changed.

Let me know what you think. I hope you like it. I figure it was fitting what was coming eventually.
