Chapter 5 Bell test
The next day Naruto woke up early and did his morning routine. Went for a run and met with his team at 10:00 with Kakashi. Then a pink-haired Banshee screeched "You two are late!" Naruto rubbed his ears and said "You see I was on my way when a black cat passed my path so I had to go the long way. When I met Kakashi; then we got lost on the Road of Life. How did you find your way on the Road of Life kakashi?" as I look at him Kakashi gave Naruto an eye smile "I had to help an Old Lady with her groceries when she invited me in and I couldn't deny her she was like a grandmother." Naruto nodded "Ahh yes Old Lady Claire. She is so kind." Kakashi nodded "She sure is. Anyway, I have two bells. You have to get these bells before time runs out." Sakura spoke up "But sensei you only have two and there are three of us." Kakashi gave an eye smile "Yes the one who doesn't get a bell will be sent back to the academy." All three of them have different thoughts. Sasuke's "I will get both of those bells and send those two weaklings away and I will force him to train me to kill Itachi." Sakura's if I those bells me and Sasuke-kun will fall in love with me and we will get married and then I will barie his kids and I will beat Ino-pig." giggles. Naruto's "This is a test about teamwork if Kakashi wants teamwork then this is a waste of time. Those two won't work with me they would rather stab me in the back. Well, Sasuke might I mean I only hated him, because he dismissed Ino-chan I don't hate him though. Focus Naruto. Kakashi continued If no one gets a bell then you all will be sent to the academy and if you get the bells then the one that doesn't will be tied to the post and watch as I and the others eat lunch. Sasuke and Sakura's stomachs growl Sakura's more so since she ate something light the night before. Everyone looks at Naruto "You didn't follow my orders yesterday?" Kakashi asked Naruto simply shook his head "Two reasons why one it was a recommendation not an order two that's dumb and I want the record to show that ad advised the others to eat breakfast, but they did not wish to take my advice." Kakashi smiled "Well done no one should follow stupid orders no matter who gives it not even the Hokage." Sakura and Sasuke growled at Naruto. "One more thing come at me with the intent to kill. You won't get a bell otherwise." Sakura spoke up "But sensei what if we hurt you." Naruto and Kakashi held in a laugh "Don't worry I'm sure I can handle it. Now Begin." Sakura and Sasuke jumped into the forest. Kakashi looked at Naruto "You know this is the part where you hide?" Naruto walked to a tree and sat down pulling out a book "I know but what's the point? I know the goal of this test and how to pass however, it won't work." Kakashi narrowed his eyes at Naruto "And what is the goal?"Naruto looked up from his book "Teamwork. I believe that Sasuke will do it though reluctantly and Sakura will only follow Sasuke she is nothing but a fangirl and if we do pass you would need to break her from that fangirl state and if you don't she will only become a cock sleeve to some enemy shinobi until they get tired of her and just slit her throat. Half of the girls that were in the academy were only there to try and get close to the Uchiha so that their parents get more power in the conceal and honestly I believe that Sasuke leaving the village will protect him more than being a breading stallion for those old fools on the council. Especially that "cripple" Danzo." Kakashi winced at the very real and most likely unavoidable possibility of Sakura, then looked confused about the quotations on cripple when he talked about Danzo "What do you mean when you're talking about Danzo?" Naruto let out a sigh "I'm a sensory ninja and I feel that he has three chakra signatures. All different one under his eye, one on his arm that connects to his heart, and the third one that flows from his whole body except for the spots I have said before, and on my way back home I have a feeling that I will be attacked and probably killed who knows. Then again I could be paranoid also Sakura, Sasuke you can come out now we have passed." Kakashi looked confused "What do you mean?" Naruto pointed to the spot on his belt. Kakashi looked down and was shocked. "How did you?" Naruto looked at Sakura and Sasuke and then tossed each one a bell. "There we passed I mean you would have passed us either way due to the conceal right?" Naruto then walked towards Kakashi and whispered only loud enough for him to hear alone. "The root is still connected to the great tree." Naruto continued to walk "Well see you tomorrow." Kakashi then spoke up " Are you sure of the great tree?" Naruto looked behind him and said "Who knows like I said 'I could be Paranoid.'" But his eyes showed there was no question Root was still operational. Kakashi nodded and then spoke up "I'm sure you are. You all pass." Naruto noticed how his posture stiffened then Kakashi Shunshined away.
In the Hokage tower, Hiruzen sat at his desk smoking his pipe. Asume spoke up "Can we just start pops Kakshi is going to be late anyway." soon a puff of smoke appeared and Kakashi was standing there no book in hand and his relaxed posture was there but more tense than usual. Hiruzen noticed but didn't say anything "Alright let's start" "Team 1 fails, Team 2 a disaster, team 3 fails but has potential Team 4 fails don't ask, team 5 fails Team 6 fails spectacularly" Kakashi steps still tense but relaxed "Team 7 pass." There was silence in the room Kakashi not only was on time but also passed a genin team. One of the Jonin spoke up "It was thanks to Uchiha-sama right?" Kakashi shook his head in the negative "No, it was thanks to Naruto." the same Jonin spoke up " What did that demon do?" The next thing that happened the Jonin's head rolled off his body leaving a blood streak. Everyone was shocked Hiruzen spoke up "My law is still in place if someone calls Naruto a demon their life is forfeit for too long have I allowed people to refer to Naruto as a demon and from now on no matter who it is, I will carry out my punishment. Anbu clean this mess up please continue Kurunai." Kurunai nodded and stepped forward "Team 8 passed with flying colors." she stepped back and Asume stepped forward "Team 10 Passed" he stepped back. Hiruzen nodded "Very good you are all dismissed." everyone bowed and left leaving Kakashi and Hiruzen alone " What seems to be the problem Kakshi-kun?" Kakashi straightened "Something has me concerned." Hiruzen nodded "What is it?" Kakashi spoke even more seriously "I can't be sure but one of my students is quite sure but then again I have no evidence." Hiruzen nodded "Which one?" Kakashi hesitated for a moment "Naruto." Naruto's name made Hiruzen straiten he waved his anbu away and placed a silencing seal "What has he said?" Kakashi then told him what Naruto said after he finished Hiruzen then sighed "Bring him to me Immediately!" Kakashi vanished and reappeared with Naruto. Hiruzen looked at him "Uzumaki-San what you told your sensei is it true?" Naruto looked at him "Yes Hokage-sama I am still new to my abilities and I could be wrong. But I know without a shadow of a doubt that Root is still active." Hiruzen nodded "Very well I will keep an eye on him now go and be here tomorrow for your first mission." Naruto smirked "You mean chores Jiji?" Hiruzen smiled "Yes Chores. Now go so I can continue with the bain of my existence" Naruto smiled "If I told you the secret of how my dad beat paperwork what would you give me?" Kakashi was confused but Hiruzen jumped up please tell me. How did Minato defeat this foe?" Kakashi stood still shocked at the reveal. Naruto slapped and shook his head. Hiruzen stopped just realizing what he said. Kakashi spoke up calmly but he was pissed "You told me he was dead." Hiruzen sighed "I did because I wanted to place him on your team so you could train him without favoritism." Naruto then looked at him "Please do not say anything to anyone I want to only take up my father's name when I become a chunin." Kakashi nodded in agreement but behind his lone eye, Naruto saw the guilt and regret. Naruto then looked at Hiruzen and said "So what will give me if I tell you the secret?" to change the subject. Hiruzen said, "I will give you an S-rank mission pay so please tell me." Naruto walked away when he got to the door He looked back "Two words Shadow Clone Jutsu. I expect the pay in my account by morning and if it is not I will make a seal that makes you forget the answer no matter how hard you try to remember. OK?" Hiruzen nodded frantically "Got it."
Naruto and Kakashi left the tower Kakashi stopped "Naruto I'm Sorry for what I did." Naruto smiled back at him "I forgave you that night if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have met the Kyuubi or unlocked my bloodline but I won't tell you too many ears around I will see you tomorrow at 10 instead of 7 with the others." Kakashi nodded and before they went their separate ways Two loud and excited voices came close to them. It was Guy and Lee they both spoke at the same time "Hello my Eternal Rival." without a second thought Kakashi and Naruto said "Hmmm you say something." they looked at each other shocked Guy and Lee said, "Curse you, and your hip and cool attitude." A voice shouted after them Lee, Guy-sensei you can't just run off on your own." The girl who said that had Her hair tied into two buns and wore a Chinese outfit this was tenten. Naruto pulled out his book on seals Trying to hide his blush but Kakashi noticed it and pulled out his own Icha Icha book "Hello ten-chan." Naruto spoke. Tenten looked at him and squinted her eyes then realization struck "Oh Naruto how are you? This hot and cool guy is Neji." A look of hurt crossed Naruto's face but only Guy and Kakashi Picked up on it before he put back on his face of calm. "I see well pleasure to meet you Neji-san" Naruto placed a hand out in greetings. Neji spoke up "I do not Associate with weaklings and dead lasts." Naruto put his hand down "What makes you think I'm weak?" Naruto said in a calm voice Neji scoffed "Fate has decided you are weak and no one can defy fate." Naruto shrugged his shoulders "I see well can't be helped then if that is what you think but what defines strength? Is it how much chakra one has? Where they were placed in the academy?"Neji "Their chakra capacity and where they placed according to fate." Naruto then nodded "Very well." I look at Guy and Lee "It seems according to Neji you two and Jiraya will always be weak." This shocked everyone even Neji but soon he narrowed his eyes at him "That is not what I said." Naruto looked back at him "Is it not according to you? Chakra capacity and academy ranking decide who is strong and weak. Lee, Guy, and Jiraiya were all at the bottom of their class so that means they are weak if you can't change fate. Right?"
Naruto then walked past them but soon Neji got pissed and attacked Naruto and shouted "8 Trigram 64 Palm" Neji rushed towards Naruto and shouted "2 palms, 4 palms, 8 palms, 16 palms, 32 palms, 64 palms" Naruto hit the ground and but poofed into smoke and behind him on the side of a tree. "Did you get him?" all the while still reading his book this enraged Neji and when to attack him but Naruto sidestepped him and continued to walk away he spoke up "Lee let's have a youthful challenge the first person to hold Neji wins what do you say?" Lee perked up "Yes let's. Just say go." Naruto nodded " Ok and go" Naruto vanished in a burst of speed. Lee did as well and he grabbed Neji " I have beaten you my eternal rival." Naruto appeared a few steps away "You did I guess it was my loss that now puts us at 19-25." Lee gives a nice guy pose "I believe this was the first race I have won with weights on and off." this shocked Tenten and Neji they knew how fast Lee was without weights Naruto chuckled "It is now I have to go so I can get up early for our chores tomorrow see ya." Kakashi followed behind him. "So tell me you have a crush on that tenten girl?" Naruto was reading his book a small blush came on his face. "Whatever do you mean?" Kakashi gave an eye smile "I saw that look when she complemented the Hyuga." Naruto sighed "I do But I have feelings for someone else as well and I would like it if I could date them both but I can't not right now." Kakashi nodded "Well you said you have a bloodline so you could enter into the CRA." Naruto shook his head "I know but I don't want a loveless marriage or to force them into it but I also don't what that damn counsel to try and force someone I don't love for their greedy hands.
Kakashi nodded "Who is the other that you like?" Naruto waited for a second "Ino I have feelings for her as well and I'm worried if she doesn't break out of that fangirl stage she is going to be raped and then killed after a while." Kakashi nodded. As Naruto and Kakashi were talking neither of them noticed Ino Standing right behind them because they were engrossed in the conversation.
