Mystic Splitting Up for Both Missions
"Okay Mysticons, so we got two missions at the same place. One is finding April's dad and the science monkey for some mind reading project." Wind Ninja stated as he paces around a bit.
"I still can't believe those mean Kraangs would want to kidnap an innocent monkey. Don't they know those little guys are almost extinct." Striker pointed out.
"I thought it was those crazy gorilla-bulls?" Forest Ninja tried to remember which animal is going extinct.
"Focus, you two. We need to find the Kraang's base, which thanks to Pete, we know where that is and that should at least make things a little easier for us to find." Ranger smirked, readying her arrow.
"We should also be ready when April comes here." Forest Ninja mentioned.
"Why would she come here—oh right, it's her dad." Knight just remembered how April would do anything for her dad.
"That girl is very determined, I'll give her that." Fire Ninja commented.
"Very determined, thank you." April responded to that comment.
The Mysticons jump in shock as they turn around with their weapons out pointing at the direction of where the voice was coming from, and April came climbing up from the fire escape ladder and shocked to see them like they were about to jump at her.
"Whoa, whoa, it's me!" April said a little surprised and assured them that it's her.
"Girl, you gave us quite a scared." Dragon Mage sighed in relief.
"So, did you guys meet this scientist?" April asked.
"We have and it looks like we got another rescue mission that happens to be in the same lab with your dad right now." Mountain Ninja informed.
"Talk about a crazy coincidence." April surprised to hear that.
"I was thinking the same thing." Striker giggled while twirling her magic rings on her fingers.
"But on the bright side, since they happen to be at the same place then we can both rescue April's dad and the monkey." Knight smiled, believing that everything is going to work out.
"Wait, monkey?" April confused on the monkey part.
"The monkey belonged to the scientist who was working on being able to gain the power to read minds." Mountain Ninja explained.
"Mind reading power! If the Kraang figure out a way to achieve that, then who knows how dangerous they'll become." April worried.
"Yeah, that could definitely be a problem." Knight gulped in fear.
"But it's not something we should be worrying about; we can definitely do this no problem." Ranger shrugged.
"Okay, now let's go find that base." Wind Ninja nodded.
Unknown to them, three unsuspected ninjas with the Foot emblem have been "hanging" around the area and heard the entire conversation. They quickly leave to report this to their boss.
(With Rahzar)
Rahzar is seen training with the fellow Foot Ninjas in the most intense way possible, and it's mostly one-sided with Rahzar easily defeating them as he also tests out how strong they have been getting.
One Foot Ninja comes at Rahzar with a fast thrust attack of his sword only for the skeleton-like dog man to dodge and threw in a kick sending him crashing onto a wall.
"You're getting closer, but only by a tiny bit." Rahzar glared.
"I don't suppose I need to point that out you're making your men… too rough?" Dreadbane entered the training room.
"I guess you could say I'm on edge. My master was not please with how I failed the last mission when the Mysticons got in the way." Rahzar revealed with a sigh.
"Oh yes, the heist of stealing the two katanas that's said to have belonged from a mighty warrior long ago. Your master seemed interested in those swords but became very mad through the call." Dreadbane recalled that moment.
"He has become disappointed that our failed attempt to destroy the Mysticons and securing the plan, believing this alliance has become a waste of time." Rahzar glared at the skeleton face man.
"Perhaps I could use a new partner than a skinny mutt." Dreadbane mocked.
The two glares at each other for a moment with rage in their eyes and both making some growling sounds coming from their mouths, but then Rahzar pulled away from the skull-faced man.
"Anyway, my master is growing impatient with your plan to come to fruition and decided to do something about it myself." Rahzar informed.
"You mean the Shredder is coming here, to Drake City!" Dreadbane shocked, feeling a tiny bit shaken from this.
"Yes, and I need prove myself to please my master. After everything he did for, taking me in when one else would and teaching me most of his secrets." Rahzar clutched his fists.
But then he heard his magi-phone ringing off and blitzes to the phone, picking it up and seeing it to be a text message from one of his ninja subordinates. This causes him to grin.
"What is it?" Dreadbane asked.
"Do you remember those strange rumors we've been hearing about, the ones about some small squid people in robot suits?" Rahzar asked.
"Oh yes, I do remember hearing about that through some underground connections and the Mysticons have been able to arrest them as well." Dreadbane recalled hearing about that in the news.
"Well, it looks like I have just gained an opportunity on something big." Rahzar smirked. Feeling this could also be his chance to get some payback on the Mysticons.
"Will you need some of my men for this?" Dreadbane asked.
"No need, I'll do out on my own. At least my men can keep up unlike your skeleton crew." Rahzar mocked before leaving the lair.
"Sometimes, I don't understand why I have to deal with this." Dreadbane sighed.
(With the Mysticons and April)
Thanks to the location coordinates given to them by Pete the Mutant Pigeon, the Mysticons and April were able to make their way to the building where the Kraang is hiding out their secret lab and they all look around to see there aren't any security systems on the rooftop.
"You would think these guys would be more prepared if they thought anyone would come here through the roof." Forest Ninja commented.
"Which works better for us." Wind Ninja stated.
Mountain Ninja looks around with the magi-scanner until it beeps a little louder on the chimney pipe.
"Here, we can go down in this." Mountain Ninja informed as Fire Ninja and Ranger get to work on opening it up.
"Great, now I can finally have my dad back." April smiled.
"Hold on, you're staying up here where it's safe." Wind Ninja ordered which April didn't take it well.
"What? But this is my dad we're talking about, I can't just do nothing while he's with those Kraangs!" April frustrated as she wants to go rescue her dad.
"I know how you well, my parents are frozen as stone, and I would do anything to save them." Dragon Mage shared her pain with April.
"Leo, we should let her at least come inside with us and she can be our lookout to secure our escape route. Plus, this would also be a perfect chance for Emerald to test out the new invisible belt she's been working on." Dragon Mage decided a job for April.
"You're really not going to let this go, are you?" Wind Ninja asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I know you feel the same for mom and dad, let her have this." Dragon Mage pleaded with her adopted turtle brother.
Wind Ninja let out a sigh knowing where his sister is going with since they have also suffered the lost of their parents, the only difference is that the king and queen are statues while April's dad is still moving though not sure for how long the Kraang will keep it that way for a while.
"Alright, you can come down with us." Wind Ninja sighed which April high-five with Dragon Mage.
"But you are to stay at our escape route and be ready to help us get out of there once we find your dad and the monkey." Wind Ninja ordered.
"You got it, but I think you guys should decide on splitting up for who goes for my dad and the other goes for the science monkey." April pointed out.
"She makes a good point; it'll be faster to do both missions at the same time." Ranger nodded.
"We'll also need someone to get hack into their systems just in case." Knight added.
"I can do that the hacking, depending on how different and advance their tech is, it shouldn't take long." Mountain Ninja volunteered for that job.
"Me and Piper can go look for that monkey, I bet he's feeling lonely and scared with those Kraangs doing bad things to him." Forest Ninja raised his hand.
"All the more reason to help him!" Striker believed in helping the animal.
"Well, there's no way we're letting you guys go search for the monkey by yourselves so you're gonna need someone to tag along." Ranger stated, knowing all these two likes to play even when things are serious.
"I can go with them; they may need some tech support to get pass some security." Knight volunteered to go with Striker and Forest Ninja.
"That leaves me, Dragon, Fire Ninja, and Ranger to go get April's dad." Wind Ninja stated the remaining team.
"Alright everyone, let's get this show on the road!" Dragon Mage grinned.
The hatch is open, and they look down seeing that it looks clear for them to drop until they spotted a Kraang walking by, Fire Ninja reacted fast by diving down to smack down on the robot and knock out the little alien in the stomach joint.
"All clear!" Fire Ninja called out.
Everyone jumps down with April being last as she lands on one foot.
"Wow, have you been practicing?" Mountain Ninja asked.
"I have been trained by other security guards in class." April informed with a grin and winked at Donnie making him blush.
"Okay April, here's the new invisible belt." Knight strapped the belt on April's waist.
"All you have to do is press this little button on the left next to the buckle to make you invisible, and to make you visible again just press the button at the bottom of the belt on the same side." Knight explained on how the belt works.
April tried on the belt by pressing the invisible belt that made her unseen.
"Cool!" April impressed as she turns off the invisibility.
"Be sure to call us if anything goes wrong." Dragon Mage reminded her of their communication.
"Now, which way is the poor monkey." Striker tried to see which direction the monkey rescue team should go.
"That way." April pointed the way which confuses the Mysticons.
"Huh, what makes you think the monkey is that way?" Ranger asked.
"I… I don't know, I just felt something in me. Like there is this strong feeling being reached out by something else. I'm not really sure why." April surprised of this strange feeling herself.
"Okay, now that's making me worry." Mountain Ninja worried.
"Don't worry, I'm fine. Just focus on your missions, we can't waste any more seconds right now." April stated before going invisible again.
"She's right, let's move out, team!" Dragon Mage said.
The Mysticons started to split up with the monkey rescue team going into the direction that April pointed at though not really sure if it's really the right direction, but the team decided to trust this mystery instinct of hers.
Knight looks at the path seeing there are only two guards in front of a door, this gives her the idea that there might be something important on the other side of that door.
"Go above them and knock them out." Knight whispered an order to them.
Striker and Forest Ninja nodded before the former used a ninja smoke bomb to make them vanish from Knight's side, and they suddenly appeared right above the two Kraang guards knocking them out before they would even notice anything.
"Alright, let's check in this room." Knight said as she plugged her magi-tech device on the panel and starts hacking it.
(With Wind Ninja's Team)
The team going to rescue April's dad followed two Kraangs going into a room that seems important to them, and knocked the two Kraangs down and Ranger took down the other Kraang inside the room with one shot.
They walk inside carefully, but then one Kraang alien screeched in anger and Dragon Mage quickly knocks it out-cold with her staff.
"Quick, let's stuff them in this closet." Ranger informed as she found the closet.
Everyone gently places the Kraangs inside the closet while Mountain Ninja looks over at what appears to be the computer system.
"Alright Donnie, hack into the system and see what you can find out about the Kraang's plot." Wind Ninja ordered.
"I'll do my best, but I won't make any guarantee." Mountain Ninja said.
"Just do what you can while we go search for April's dad." Dragon Mage said before they left the room.
The Mysticons searching for April's dad sneaks around quietly until they spotted some doors and look over some windows to see one person or two in there, and then they found Kirby.
"Mr. O'Neil, glad to see you're okay." Dragon Mage said getting the man's attention.
"The Dragon Mage! Does that mean the Mysticons are here too?" Kirby asked surprise.
"That's right, we're here to rescue you." Wind Ninja nodded and opened a panel that's connected to this prison room.
"How's my daughter, is she safe?" Kirby asked.
"By safe you mean waiting for us at the escape route to see you again, then yes." Dragon Mage revealed nervously.
"You mean she's still in the city! Should have known, that girl is stubborn." Kirby sighed, knowing how stubborn April can be when it comes to something important to her.
"She is, but that also makes her one tough girl." Ranger complimented.
"Tough just like her mom, she was the stubborn one too before she… passed away." Kirby said, looking sad on the memories of her late wife.
"Come on, man. No getting all sad, you want to see your daughter again looking all happy." Fire Ninja advised the old man not to get too sappy.
(With Mountain Ninja)
"Okay, this is a lot more difficult and complicated." Mountain Ninja said while trying type onto the screen of this strange computer, but nothing he tried seems to be working and it's starting to get him frustrated.
"Damn it! By the Hammer Harmon! Work you stupid blasted piece of junk!" Mountain Ninja slammed his fists on the pad, then the screen beeped.
"Whoa, I'm in!" Mountain Ninja surprised, he couldn't believe that actually worked.
However, his celebration soon became a dark mood when he saw the file containing the Kraang's plan and made him feel worse for fear.
(With April's Dad Rescue Team)
"Since it's taking Wind Ninja forever to pick that lock…" Fire Ninja glared at Leo.
"I'm working on it." Wind Ninja growled.
"Maybe you can tell us what's the heck's the deal with the Kraang." Fire Ninja asked.
"As I'm sure you already know, they're aliens, and they came from another dimension." Kirby started the conversation on what he knows about the Kraang.
"Aliens, yes. From another dimension, that's new." Ranger commented.
"When they came here, they brought their mutagen for the purpose of turning everyone of our world into their slaves to make their conquest that much easier." Kirby explained.
"But what's the purpose of turning people into monsters if they just want slaves?" Dragon Mage asked.
"That's the thing, the mutagen wasn't supposed to do that on what they originally made it to do. Apparently, the physical laws of their universe are different from ours. That's when they came to me, turns out T-Hope Industry is actually a covered operation for the Kraang." Kirby revealed.
"Oh, Mountain Ninja is not going to like that since he kind of had plans to work there one day." Dragon Mage winced a bit.
"So, they're forcing the scientists who works there to help them modify the ooze to work it like how you just said." Wind Ninja figured out.
(With Monkey Rescue Team)
"Got it!" Knight smiled as the door opens and they enter the room.
"Whoa, now that is one big monkey!" Forest Ninja surprised, seeing a man-size monkey laying o a floating medical exam table.
"Oh, he looks so cute and monkey-like!" Striker complimented, stroking the sleeping monkey.
"Come on, we need to free him and get out of here." Knight tried to see if she can open the locks on the table.
"Well, I say this mission was easy." Forest Ninja smirked, before accidentally spilling some tools on the floor with the crashing sounds causing the monkey to awake up and started screaming loud.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
The Mysticons are working double time to try get April's dad out of there while learning about the Kraang's plan and saving an innocent test monkey, but it looks like things might become complicated with the sudden monkey scream.
