Clear Minds Against the Mind Reader
When the Mysticons went in to stop Falco with his scheme, they were expecting little resistance from the mad scientist since he didn't appear to be a threat at first, but now he gained the mind-reading power and have learn their secret identities which they knew their minds have been read.
"Let's start the experiment." Falco smirked.
"More like ending it!" Fire Ninja charged at the crazy scientist.
Striker decides to follow his lead moving in from the side, but Falco has already started reading their minds like the imagines of Raph charging at him are playing in his mind that he's going t do a roundhouse kick followed by a punch in the stomach while Piper attacks after with throwing her rings at each side of the wall to strike him from both sides at the same time.
"Please." Falco rolled his eyes.
Falco dodges the roundhouse kick and gave him a punch in the face, then he holds Fire Ninja in place when Striker threw the rings for him to get hit instead.
"Oops, sorry!" Striker apologized as she caught her rings.
Ranger got angry as she jumps high to fire one magic arrow blast and halfway to the target, that arrow splits into ten though Falco knew which one to dodge thanks to reading her mind and pressed a button on his wrist that formed a blue forcefield that bounces two arrows right back at her.
"What the…?" Dragon Mage shocked.
"Like it?" Falco asked sarcastically.
"This is my own blast reflect wristwatch. It not only tells you time like any other watch, but it also has the magic property of the basic forcefield spell and a reflection spell combined into one. My own original design." Falco smirked.
"Whoa, that's awesome!" Knight was amazed by that magical gadget.
"You better not be thinking about asking the guy how he made it." Ranger yelled.
"No, I wasn't!" Knight lied nervously.
"Yes, she was. And she was also thinking about having a little meeting with me about improving her mech suit." Falco revealed, after reading Emerald's mind.
"Emerald?! How could you!" Mountain Ninja gasped.
"I'm sorry, but you just saw how his forcefield worked and it was so cool! My tinkering mind just went into mechanic mode!" Knight pointed out.
"I know it was, but how could you even think about asking HIM to help with the mech when I'm the one helping you with it?" Mountain Ninja reminded her of that.
"I didn't mean to upset you like that." Knight promised.
"Oh, but you're going to be upset at him when he was the one who destroyed your robotic teddy bear who was your best friend at the time." Falco mentioned with a smirk.
"WHAT?!" Knight screamed at Mountain Ninja.
Wind Ninja and Forest Ninja goes in together to fight Falco hoping for their combo moves to throw him off, and Falco was barely able to defend himself against the two at the same time, but he still read their minds and throws Forest Ninja off balance to have Wind Ninja's arrows on his shell.
"Ow!" Forest Ninja winced in pain.
"You… You told me it was the old lady and that nice girl who were our neighbors, I hated them for two whole years, and you know how bad I feel about hating things!" Knight mentioned the lie her adopted turtle brother told her years ago which now has been revealed to be a lie.
"I'm sorry, but it was an accident! Sure, I hated the damn thing because it was a very unsettling teddy bear you made and the voice you put in didn't help me sleep at all!" Mountain Ninja yelled back.
"Not only that, but it kept malfunctioning on me whenever you ask me to keep an eye on it because you kept on forgetting to do the maintenance check!" Mountain Ninja pointed out.
"Well, why didn't you tell me that my teddy bear was bothering you?" Knight asked.
"Guys, evil mind-reading scientist to fight in case you've forgotten!" Dragon Mage yelled.
Dragon Mage charges in firing a few magic blasts from her staff though Falco just simply dodges them because he read her mind and threw a tray her in the head at her failed attempt to dodge.
"Oh right, we should focus on fighting him." Mountain Ninja realized.
"So right, but we are not done talking about the teddy bear thing." Knight said.
The two mechanic Mysticons charge at Falco together, but like the others, they couldn't land a single hit on him, and Falco use his forcefield wristwatch to block one attack from Mountain Ninja and kicked Mysticon Knight before she could move to his back to attack him.
Falco drop the forcefield to make Mountain Ninja stumble forward to make him lose his balance for a second, but he made a quick turn around to swing his stone-axe though not quick enough as Falco head that part and dodge it then punch him in the face.
"I really must admire that complex brain of yours. You and Emerald come up with so many ideas. Too bad I can see them all coming." Falco bragged a little.
"By the way, do you really think you have a chance with April?" Falco mocked.
"Hey! My brother can have a chance with any girls better than you!" Knight stated and tries to attack, only for Falco to counter with an elbow to her face.
"Foolish Mysticons, the power of the mind cannot be stopped!" Falco smirked.
"You're only reading our minds!" Ranger pointed out.
"Exactly! Everything has been opened to me, and I won't stop there for I will unlock more of the power hidden within the minds such as telekinesis, combined with mind-reading then nothing will stop me from taking the magical word by storm!" Falco believed.
"We won't let you!" Forest Ninja pulled out some shuriken and threw them at Falco, but easily dodges upon reading his mind.
Striker and Ranger go in with Fire Ninja getting back up and looking angrier than ever before, all three of them attack together the best they could trying to get him or even capture him with Striker's rings.
But like always, Falco read their minds and use the momentum of their movements to dodge and two Ranger and Fire Ninja in the two rings and kick them away to Striker.
"This guy, he's going keep wiping the floor with us if we don't do something." Mountain Ninja groaned.
Dragon Mage slowly gets up but has the splitting and painful headache from the tray toss earlier, she looks over to see Wind Ninja having trouble with Falco who uses an electric magic-stick to shock him down even though her visions are a bit blurry.
"Once I'm through with you Mysticon, I'll put you all on my table and see what makes you all tick." Falco smirked.
"Not happening!" Knight charged in.
But Falco read her mind again to see that she is going to fire a magic blast from her sword, so he'd just dodge it and grab her by the arms to throw her away.
However, what he didn't expect was Dragon Mage attempting to fire a blast at him though she still has that painful headache, and her staff just fired a random blast seemingly at a random direction, but that random direction got Falco right in the back when he made that dodge.
"What the…?" Falco was surprised in anger.
Seeing Falco distracted, Ranger quickly ran up to him from behind and grab him in a hold with her bow on his neck.
"Huh? He didn't dodge Arkyana's attack?" Mountain Ninja was surprised and looked over to see Dragon Mage still disoriented.
"Hold on, she wasn't even focused on Falco at all. Almost like her mind wasn't in the fight itself, like no mind at all." Mountain Ninja realized, and then remember what Master Splinter told him.
"You must find the space between your thoughts and learn to live there."
In that moment, Donnie realizes what he needs right now in order to defeat Falco.
Falco read Zarya's mind to know how to escape this hold, he strikes her on the right side to move up the right to get the bow off then kicks her in the stomach.
Donnie needs to fight without thinking, no thoughts of any kind that Falco can use against him, no thinking about how to fight Falco, no thoughts of ANYTHING. Just clear his mind and let his instincts guide him to kicking Falco's butt.
Knight tries to attack Falco again only for the man to punch her away and takes her sword.
"Hahaha! And you eight are supposed to be the newest heroes of the realms. How pathetic." Falco mocked.
"You won't be laughing at us for long once we get our hands on you." Striker glared.
"Oh please, none of you can touch me." Falco smirked.
"I can still read your minds and they keep on telling me everything I want to hear, so there is nothing you can do to surprise me." Falco stated.
"Hey, Falco?" Mountain Ninja tapped Falco's shoulder to spook him.
"How about you try what I'm thinking right now?" Mountain Ninja said calmly.
"Oh, trying to challenge my power, huh? I can beat you with my eyes close." Falco closed his eyes and started using his power to read Mountain Ninja's mind.
But he felt nothing and got punch in the face by Mountain Ninja.
"Huh?" Falco looked shock that he got hit the second time.
"Whoa!" Striker was surprised.
"Did he just hit him?" Wind Ninja asked, seeing that Falco has always been able to dodge their attacks before, so why is this different.
"Must've been a recent glitch in the telepathy power, but I'll work on the bugs after I destroy you." Falco smirked, using the telepathy power again.
However, there was nothing again like all he is getting is a blank channel, and some punches along with a jump spin-kick.
But Mountain Ninja didn't stop there as he continues the attack with a few kicks and a right hook, then he jumps to a wall and launches himself straight at Falco like a lightning bolt and spins like a drill throwing some punches and sent him flying with one last punch.
Falco crashes onto a wall and fell down to the floor.
Falco looks up groaning in pain and stares at Mountain Ninja in confusion. Wondering how this boy was able to fight him without any thoughts in his mind, it just made no sense to him.
"Good luck trying to read me now." Mountain Ninja taunted.
Falco tries using his powers again, but then the Telepathy power started to fade returning Falco into a normal person which means the power finally wore off and he fell unconscious.
"I'm sure you will plenty of time to think about what you have done in jail." Knight said.
"Oh, good one." Forest Ninja chuckled.
"Hold on, we can't send him to jail just yet." Dragon Mage stopped anyone from calling the police yet.
"She's right, he still knows our secret identities, which means he'll probably use it against us like telling the police about it." Wind Ninja pointed out.
"Then we'll just erase his memory with a spell and boom! Problem solved!" Striker suggested.
"Let's take him to Malvaron, maybe he can do that." Dragon Mage suggested their Solon could help with that.
"Let's not forget Rockwell, the poor guy has been through a lot today." Striker said, gently petting Rockwell's head.
"I hate to say this, but maybe the Astromancers could help him." Ranger suggested those coat old geezers.
(Astromancer Academy)
"Hmm, and this monkey was once a man forcibly transformed by an unknown substance that you all dubbed mutagen." Nova Terron looked at the nervous monkey man.
"I know it's a lot to ask, Nove Terron, but this man needs help." Wind Ninja said.
"Is there any way you can change him back?" Dragon Mage asked.
"It is difficult to say since we've never encountered such a thing like these "Kraang" aliens you speak of. Those blasted creatures looming our realm under our noses." Nova Terron showed his hatred expression for the Kraang.
"And I take it you've already dealt with Rockwell's former companion?" Nova Terron asked.
"Yes, we sent him to jail straight away." Wind Ninja answered.
"Not before wiping his mind clean of us, though." Forest Ninja whispered to Fire Ninja.
"Very well, we will do what we can to help Rockwell to the best of our abilities." Nova Terron floated down to the monkey man.
"The best thing we can do is help him regain his human intelligence, but I can't promise that we can fully return him back into human." Nova Terron said.
"Better than nothing, I guess." Zarya shrugged.
April, who is with the group and has been comforting Rockwell the entire time since they got here, looks at Rockwell in the eyes for a moment.
"It's going to be okay, the Astromancers are going to help you and you won't have to worry about Falco hurting you anymore. I promise, you're safe." April said with a kind smile.
Rockwell looks at April for a moment reading her mind through her emotions, and she can tell that she is telling the truth that makes him want to trust her. He gave her a nod meaning he will go with the men in cloaks.
"Okay, he's ready." April said to Nova Terron.
"Very interesting, you seem to have ways with animals, April O'Neil." Nova Terron was impressed with that little scene.
"I don't know about that, I just felt how he was feeling like being scared and confused, and I just helped calm him down." April stated.
Nova Terron believes there might be something more to April even though she doesn't have magic powers herself, but perhaps he could ask Splinter if she would be interested in becoming a ninja like the Mysticons.
"Very well." Nova Terron nodded.
"Proxima Starfall, please help me escort Dr. Rockwell to the healing chamber to work on the mind." Nova Terron ordered.
"Yes, Nova Terron." Proxima responded as she comes down from her chair.
"Hey Proxima, heard you mastered the Angel Wing Shield spell and the Hellfire-Zone Grenade on the same day." April greeted the girl she knows.
"Yes, and at the same time as well. The result was very painful and I had to be bedridden for a few days, but it was all worth." Proxima smiled.
"You two know each other?" Mountain Ninja asked.
"Back when I was a security guard of this place, we met on my first day and we became friends, and we still hang out even though I'm with you guys." April explained.
"Aw, friendships are so adorable." Forest Ninja complimented.
"Oh yeah, April, we're gonna have to cancel our usual jazz club hangout this weekend because there has been lightning dragonfly infestation two days ago." Proxima warned and showed the article of the jazz club.
"Oh man, I love that place." April exclaimed.
"Excuse me, but I believe we have a monkey problem we must address." Nova Terron reminded them.
"Right, I'll get right on it!" Proxima hurried grab Rockwell's hand.
"Bye, April." Proxima waved at April who waves back.
(Mysticon Hideout)
April is sitting across with Splinter because the rat master has called her for something he needs to talk with her about.
"April, it seems you have a rare gift, a sensitivity I have trained my entire life to develop." Splinter said.
"Don't worry, you'll get it." April said, oblivious to what he was saying.
"I did! It just took me a long time." Splinter stated.
"Uh, that's nothing to be ashamed of." April hoped she didn't offend him in a way.
Splinter let out a sigh thinking he will need to be a little direct with his words.
"What I am trying to say is that I would like to train you to be a Kunoichi, a female ninja." Splinter offered.
"Oh, that's quite an honor. If I do this, does that mean I can kick everybody's butt?" April asked while surprised by this offer.
"April, remember the Mysticons don't use their abilities that way. They help keep the realm safe, protecting the innocent, just like the police and security guards are." Splinter pointed out.
"Right, of course. But I still can, right?" April asked with a small grin.
"Yes. But I warn you, it will be the hardest thing you've ever done. It will drain you mentally, physically, and spiritually." Splinter warned.
"Reminds me of high school, but I'll do my best." April promised.
"Good, Nova Terron had informed me about this, and I have noticed this too. He believes becoming a ninja would be best suited to you." Splinter mentioned, which caught April by surprise.
April gets up to leave the room, only to find her eight friends falling down after opening the slide door.
"Guys?" April surprised.
"We got another ninja girl in the group!" Piper excitedly as she hugs April.
"Don't think I'm gonna go easy on you when sparring." Zarya smirked.
"I-I can help with staff fighting, if you're i-interested." Donnie offered while blushing.
"Oh, sure. I'll think about it." April said with her cheeks blushing too.
"Those two, totally perfect!" Emerald believed with an exciting smile.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
The Mysticons were able to defeat Falco with Donnie being able to fight without thinking and put the mad scientist down, Rockwell has been dropped off to the Astromancers to help him, and now April has been offered to train as a Kunoichi by Splinter which should help the Mysticons in the near future.
