Three months later...

"Spring break's almost over, huh?"

We were all back in the dorms after spring break, and the three of us had gotten our instructions.

"We're going on a trip for your work study," Uraraka was saying, which surprised me.

"Oh, you're right," said Asui.

"You girls too? For real? Same here!" said Kaminari.

"We've also got a trip planned for that day!" said Iida.

"Huh? What's up with that!?"

"Hang on, us too."

"Me too!"

Everyone in Class 1 A was, in fact, going...

"There're heroes in those foothills," Burnin, told us. "We're gonna back them up and help evacuate the city!"

Me, Iida, Hado, Midoriya, Bakugou, Uraraka, and Asui, were all in this same group. It was time.

"There're heroes in those foothills," Burnin, told us. "We're gonna back them up and help evacuate the city!"

We were part of the rear guard doing the Evacuation of the city. Burnin was leading our team. "If anyone in this neighborhood can't get up and out on their own, please let us know. There's a chance that this entire city will soon be a counter-villain battle zone! Shuttles will take you from here. Get outta this city!"

An elderly woman said to bakugou, "Thank you, young man. Here, have a chocolate bun."

"It'll just make my mouth dry!" he shouted. "Forget that crap and get going!"

"Might as well accept her generosity," Uraraka told him.

"You just want a freaking bun for yourself!" he shouted at her.

"He even treats old folks that way," sighed asui.

Behind us, Iida was evacuating the workers. "There's a manuscript on paper that I havent submitted yet, so don't destroy my workplace!"

"We will preserve and protect your precious mannuscript, sir!" he replied.

Koda was leading all the pets out of town, kids yelling "Cuute!"

A pigeon came up to him. "Thank you, little one! The fifth ward is completely evacuated!"

"Our group is finished too," said another hero.

"We're going to check every single building to ensure that nobody has been left behind in senior homes and apartments," said Glasses.

"Keep calm, people, no running please!" said Endeavor's sidekick. "We're going to have you folks ride this to a shelter outside the city."

Midoriya, however, was the only one who wasn't taking part in the evacuation. He was standing there, looking very - disturbed?

"Midoriya? What is it?" I asked.

"Slacking off, huh?" Bakugou shouted. "What's your excuse this time?"

Something, it seemed, was very wrong.

"Deku?" said Uraraka.

He turned and was looking towards the hills.

"The hospital!" he shouted all of a sudden.

I turned.

There it was. A wave of - pure destruction. Coming straight at us from the other side of the hill, where Midoriya was looking.

He powered up and kicked a crevice into the ground.

"Get these people moving!" Bakugou shouted.

"Endeavor, hey, Endeavor!" Burnin was saying into her comm.

Oh crap - Dad?

"Everyone, run!" said Midoriya.

But - the destruction hadn't stopped at the crevice. It was still coming. Crumbling up the buildings, turning them to dust.

"That didn't stop it!" shouted Uraraka. "It's not just some kinda shock wave!"

"Everything's crumbling to dust..." said Asui.

"It's Shigaraki!" said Midoriya.

Heaven piercing Ice wall! I threw up my strongest attack - And it crumbled too!

"Run, people!" shouted Burnin. We all grabbed whoever we could and started running as fast as possible. Burnin was shouting "What's up at the hospital? Somebody please respopnd! Endeavor! Ryukyu! Anyone!"

Dad? Please be ok...

"One for - what? Whatever, Help's coming your way!" Burnin said.

What's she talking about.

"Burnin, wait!" shouted Midoriya.

Burnin was calling out "You kids evacuate with the remaining heroes! Listen to the authorities! We gotta get farther away!"

"He's heading for the evacueees!" Came the report. My old man's voice - ok, not dead. "Expand the battle perimeter! Start evacuating hte city outskirts too! Hurry, every second counts, cuz that thing is coming, and when it gets here, it's all over!"

Various heroes were talking fast, and reports coming in weren't good.

"No way, Funkman's really gone?"

"Mourn later, the evacuation's a race against time!"

I turned to look for Midoriya and Bakugou - but they weren't behind me where they'd been before, they were...

"Huh? Where are you going?" I shouted after them. They were floating and blasting off in a completely different direction.

"I forgot something! I'll be right back!" Midoriya shouted. I turned to stare at the others.

"What's going on?" asked Iida. "Why are Midoriya and Bakugou - what could they have?"

I shook my head. This didn't look good.

"Those two could be in danger," said Uraraka, looking very serious. I frowned adn sighed.

"I'll go get them and bring them back here. Even if I have to drag them back."

"Todoroki, - er, Shoto!" said Iida. "You're needed here, with the evacuation!"

"We all know those two," I reminded him. "If there's someone that needs saving - or someone that needs defeating - they'll go and do it, no matter how hurt they get. And we both know they don't listen to reason. There's a chance they'll listen to me - but - I'm probably the only one here who can make them come back." I hated having to put it that way, but it was true.

Iida nodded. "Please make sure they return safely, Shoto!"

I turned and ran out after them, calling to Burnin, "I'll have them back soon, Ma'am!"

As I ran, I tried not to let myself think about all the awful things that could be happening to them, all the dangers that were all around us...that horrible wave of destruction dotting everything in my sight.

Please be ok. Please be ok.

Father, you too..everyone...

I followed the path of destruction, being careful not to touch anything, surfing on ice to speed things up and be safe. Come on. Where are you? What's wrong with you guys, for crying out loud? When we need you the most? When everyone's in so much danger? Why are you two always running off together, talking secretly, never letting anyone else in?

I could see, up ahead, a particulary decimated area - and in the center, there were quite a few people - some on the ground, some fighting...

Is that Shigaraki?

Yeah - and he was going after - Sensei?

That hand was inches from Aizawa sensei's face. I didn't think. I threw up my iceberg in the way.

"SENSEI!" I shouted. From behind the iceberg, I coudl see they were all there - Midoriya, Bakugou, both looking pretty beat up, my old man...Shigaraki, standing there, like some kind of demon out of hell.

"After you protect him, then what? Even if you so desperately try to delay it, the only thing that awaits you is destruction."
