Yugioh: The Hope of Six
Chapter 14: Kaiba Arc – Part 4
After hearing Kaiba's words, Yugi, Yuya, Yuzu, and everyone that was going at once approached the helicopter to get onboard. Only Duke would stay behind. He would see them off. At the same time, Yusho and Pegasus disembarked.
"Dad, what's happened? What did Aqua say?" Yuya asked his father right away.
"And why is Mokuba here? I thought Kaiba was going to keep him out of this?" Yuzu added, her own confusion also made apparent from seeing Mokuba in the cockpit with his older brother. To their disappointment, Yusho shook his head.
"I can't tell you anything. All I can say is that everything is under control." This did not help them feel any better. Yusho could tell that much as he handed Yuzu her Duel Disk back. "Before you try to badger her with questions, Aqua has transferred herself to my Duel Disk. She will be fine, I promise you." He told the very worried girl.
"Fine, if you say so." She said, sighing in resignation.
"We will get them back. Count on it." Yusho said before giving his son and Yuzu a quick hug. "Be careful and take care of each other." He told them.
"We will." The teen couple said. Yusho then turned to Yugi and his friends.
"Please, look after them." He urged. They nodded.
"Got it." Yugi told him. Just before he boarded the copter, Duke got his attention.
"Yugi, wait! I have something for you!" He then gave Yugi a small envelope.
"What's this?" Yugi asked.
"Your grandpa asked me to give it to you. He thinks it'll help you."
Curious, Yugi opened the envelope and was very surprised by the contents. He smiled at his friend.
"Thanks Duke. Tell him they'll be a big help." Duke nodded, telling him he would.
"I wish you and your friends luck as well, Yugi-boy. I have no doubt you will need it." Pegasus told him.
"Thanks Pegasus." He then gave him, Yusho, and Duke a stern look. "Please, take care of my grandpa until we get back." The trio nodded.
"You got it." Duke said. At last, once the group was aboard, Kaiba instructed them to strap in and hold on as he got the vehicle off the ground. Within seconds, the helicopter flew off and was out of sight. Yusho sighed deeply.
"I really hope they will be alright, and save Yoko and Shuzo." He said, still looking worried.
"I'm sure they will, Mr. Sakaki. We just gotta believe it." Duke said. Pegasus nodded in agreement.
"That makes two of us. In the meantime, let's go and entertain our elderly guest." The trio then headed off to Duke's home to watch over Solomon.
Unbeknownst to them, a man from the shadows had his eye on them the whole time. He chuckled to himself in a not so friendly way as he tailed after them. "That's right, Duke. Lead the way, and I will give you all Hell..."

Aboard the helicopter, Yugi looked over at his friends. They all looked either determined or very nervous. It was a mixed bag. 'Everyone is so tense right now. Even I can't help but feel like we marching to our own demise.' He thought to himself.
"Don't think that, Yugi. We have survived a great deal of danger in the past. After defeating the likes of Zorc the Dark One, I'm sure we can handle anything. All we need… is each other." Atem said confidently to his partner. Yugi smiled and nodded at him.
'You're right, Atem. Together, I know we will save Yoko and Shuzo.' Yugi then frowned a little. 'Still, we know nothing about the tower Noah built.' The Pharaoh also felt uneasy about it.
"Death-T. Such an ominous name…" He and Yugi both wondered if Kaiba knew anything about it.
Up in the cockpit, Kaiba was hating this whole situation. He hated Noah had come back to cause him and his brother more trouble. He hated that Yugi and his geek squad also got involved yet again. Most of all, he hated that the KaibaCorp tower he destroyed was standing again and now being used for his stepbrother's own twisted amusement… especially since Noah gave it that very shocking name.
'Death-T… that's a name I never thought I hear coming from someone else's mouth. That project was shut down for a reason. Now Noah had the audacity to make it a reality? The sooner I find him, the sooner I'll ring his neck for dragging us out here.' Kaiba wanted nothing more than to do this on his own. This whole mess had nothing to do with the others. However, Noah made it clear what would happen if the people he desired didn't arrive. He still believed the kid was bluffing, but in the end he chose to play along… for now. Also, those chumps insisted they'd come too. If Kaiba was right about what awaited them in the tower, then he hoped they all had their affairs in order…
"You need to tell them." Kaiba then turned to Mokuba. "They have to know if we're going to have any chance of succeeding." For a moment, the older Kaiba looked like he was going to argue. Instead, he tapped a button on the controls in front of him and started to speak.
"All of you pay attention, because I'm only going to explain this just once. Death-T was the name of a military project that Gozaburo had created years ago. I came across it shortly after my takeover. It involved the most extreme physical and mental training exercises to make an unbeatable army of soldiers. The reason it got the name "Death-T" was because it all took place in a huge tower and many of the recruits brought in for the project… had died from participating." The whole group gasped with shock.
"Soldiers… died?" Miho said, fear evident in her voice. Kaiba continued.
"Gozaburo's methods had costed more recruits than any other program for the military. Most of them perished before they even finished the tests. The very few that actually survived the trials became completely unstable and were deemed failures from the higher ups, and thus had to be executed to put them out of their misery. The Death-T project was then terminated, much to my stepfather's objections."
"He didn't want the project to stop, even though so many people had lost their lives from it?!" Tèa asked incredulously. Kaiba grunted.
"Incase you had forgotten, Gozaburo Kaiba was no humanitarian. He didn't care what happened to those around him as long as he got the results he desired." Of course no one had forgotten. Most of the group remembered what Gozaburo was like when they last met Noah. He definitely wasn't a nice guy.
"Why would Noah name his tower after a failed military program?" Bakura asked.
"Probably wanted to honor the heartless old man… given his personality reset." Kaiba said.
"So the tower we're heading for now, it's got some seriously messed up death traps in there?" Joey questioned.
"Most likely." Kaiba answered, making Joey cringe and nearly freak out. His sister didn't look any better.
"Death traps…" Serenity said to herself, now shaking a little. She was beginning to think she may have been over her head when she volunteered for this. That was when both her hands were taken and held tight. One was held by her brother, the other by the brave young man she wanted to date when this was over.
"Serenity, I know you're scared. Heck, so am I. But know that you're not in this alone. None of us are. I'll be right here with you every step of the way." Joey said, giving his sister a reassuring look. Tristan nodded.
"So am I. I'm not planning to leave your side… not this time." He said determinedly. Serenity smiled at them both warmly as she squeezed each of their hands.
"Thanks you guys." She said.
"I'm there with you too Serenity." Miho told her, trying to sound brave.
"Thanks Miho." Her best friend told her, also glad for her support.
Joey smiled at Miho, grateful for her support too. Strangely, she turned away when he tried to make eye contact with her. He wondered why. If he looked closer, Joey would've seen her blushing.
"If we stick together, I'm sure we'll all make it out of this alive, including my mom and Yuzu's dad." Yuya said. He was as scared of what awaited at Death-T as everyone else was, but he wasn't going to let that stop him from saving his mother.
"I think it goes without saying that I'm staying with you." Zarc said, nearly making his partner chuckle from the attempt at humor. Yuzu smiled as she took Yuya's hand.
"I know we will." Yuzu said without a shred of doubt. After nearly getting kidnapped by a madman and came close to being eaten by a gigantic dragon, the girl felt nothing could frighten her as much now.
Mai and Valon turned to one another, also sharing a smile. No words needed to be spoken. They both knew what they felt and believed. Like the rest of the gang, they would fight to survive and return with everyone.
The rest of the trip was spent in silence as they flew through the sky. Less then thirty minutes later, they had spotted their destination. Everyone who participated in Battle City recognized the tower where the semifinals and championship match took place. The only difference was that the tower seemed to be much bigger than before. The sight of it made Kaiba sick. Mokuba said nothing as they approached the tower.
Before long, Kaiba landed the helicopter near the structure and ordered everyone to get off. As soon as they disembarked, Yuzu quickly met up with Mokuba. "Mokuba, please tell me what's going on. Why did your brother bring you here when he was completely against it before? What did Aqua tell you?" She asked desperately. Yuzu had been told twice to trust Aqua to know what she was doing, but she was too worried to not try one more time to get answers. Mokuba spoke calmly when he answered.
"I know that you, Yuya, and the others are worried about me, and I get that. I wish I can tell you, but I can't. All I can say is this: No matter what happens in that tower, just know that everything will be alright. Aqua convinced us of that." Yuzu didn't seem convinced herself. Still, she said no more as they moved forward.
They all walked toward the ominous looking tower, and with not much time to spare. The sun had started to set just as the group reached the entrance. Before anyone could figure out what to do next, a familiar voice chimed in from a loud speaker above the door.
"Well well, looks like everyone is here, and on time. I am so pleased you could all make it this evening. I have all sorts of fun planned out. I can hardly wait to get started…"
"Enough Noah!" Kaiba interrupted. Noah laughed.
"You've never been a fun person, Seto. But at the very least you decided to comply and bring "our" little brother to the party. I knew you would." Mokuba glanced up at Kaiba for a moment, but he didn't make eye contact. He just stared up at the source of Noah's voice.
"I'm only here because I don't want anything to happen to Yuya's mom and Yuzu's dad." Mokuba said.
"A wise move, Mokuba." Noah replied.
"Noah, we came here liked you asked! Release them now!" Yuya demanded. Noah snickered.
"Uh-uh. Not so fast, Yuya. I never said I would let them go just like that. You'll have to come inside and find them yourselves. Now then, enter… if you dare." He laughed as the tower entrance slid upward.
"Bastard." Kaiba angrily muttered.
"Guess there's no turning back now." Mai said as the group headed in, with the door slamming shut behind them once they did.
Inside, no one could see anything. It was completely dark. "I can't see a thing in here! Where are the lights?" Joey complained.
It was right then that something happened no one saw coming, especially Kaiba. Out of the darkness, a red laser beam shot through the group. At the same time, someone gasped and a loud thump was heard.
"What was that?!" Miho shouted, sounding fearful. Yugi and the others had a growing, sickening feeling inside them. Someone had been struck and fell to the ground.
"I saw a laser!" Yugi confirmed. "One of us got hit by it, but I couldn't tell who! Everyone call out!" He instructed. Before anyone could say anything, they all heard Noah speaking again.
"No need, Yugi. Let me "shed some light" on the matter…" He said, sounding giddy with anticipation. A second later, the lights came on. They were all standing in a large anti chamber with two doors on either side of the group. The door on the right said "Death T-1" while the one on the left said "Death T-F". That was hardly important at the moment. As soon as everyone could see again, they looked to see who had been shot…
"MOKUBA! NO!" Kaiba screamed. The entire group stared down in horrified disbelief. Mokuba lay on the floor, eyes closed and unmoving. The spot where he was hit was small, but noticeable. It seemed to be right where his heart was.
"Kaiba! Is Mokuba…?" Yuya couldn't finish the question. Kaiba dropped to his knees and felt for a heartbeat, a pulse, any sign of breathing. Anything. Slowly, he retracted his hands… and shook his head.
The girls all held their hands over their mouths, eyes wide. "Oh no. Mokuba…" Yuzu whispered, her eyes beginning to water. 'How could this have happened?! I thought Aqua had a way to protect him!' She had truly believed that Aqua would keep her word. Unless that shot wasn't fatal, which it undoubtedly was, Yuzu couldn't see how Mokuba could've survived from it.
"It can't be." Yuya murmured, not believing what he was seeing. 'I don't understand. What happened to Aqua's plan to keep him out of harm's way?!' Zarc said nothing, but he certainly didn't like what had happened.
"Mokuba…" Yugi said softly. Atem also kept silent, also stunned by the heinous act.
Kaiba gritted his teeth and shut his eyes, tears forming around them as well. He then took hold of his little brother's body and started sobbing silently in his chest. No one else could say a word, for nothing could be said to help the mourning young man. Noah gave a heartless laugh as he appeared once more in hologram form in front of the group.
"That was fun. One "false" Kaiba off my list." He said remorselessly. Everyone but Kaiba turned to him, all angered.
"Murderer!" Miho shouted.
"That was completely uncalled for!" Valon protested heatedly.
"How could you?! He was just a kid!" Yuzu yelled.
"Is that why you really wanted Mokuba to come?! So you could do that?!" Yuya demanded. Noah shrugged.
"I always hated that naïve brat and wanted him out of my life. Now he's just a memory worth forgetting." He watched Kaiba mourning over his little brother with sick satisfaction.
However, Noah failed to realize one little thing. If he paid more attention, he would've noticed Kaiba's "mourning" was a facade. He wasn't crying… he was laughing. His face, which was completely out of sight, gave off a smile. 'I cannot believe he actually fell for it.' Kaiba thought as he recalled how this deception came about…
Flashback:
"Hello. I am Aqua, one of the Ignis that Ray Akaba befriended and helped contact Yugi and the other protectors to come to her aid. Now I wish to aid you in this crisis."
Kaiba, Mokuba, and Pegasus stared in stunned silence. Pegasus was the first to speak. "Pardon me, but could someone please explain what is going on? I am so confused." He admitted while scratching his head.
"Later. There's too much to tell right now." Kaiba told him curtly.
A curious Mokuba stepped forward and got a closer look at Aqua. "You're an Ignis? Nice to meet you. My big brother told me about you guys. But I had no idea one of you was here." Aqua nodded.
"It is nice to meet you too, Mokuba. As for my presence, I am here for my own protection, along with the other Ignis." She told him.
"Yugi brought Aqua here from Cyberse World after you and your brother left." Yuya explained.
"She has been staying with me and my dad for the past month." Yuzu added. Her mentioning her dad again reminded her of the situation he was in. The situation they were all in.
"So you brought a strange A.I. into my company without me knowing about it." Kaiba didn't sound happy having an uninvited guest in KaibaCorp. He had had enough of that already. "And now she's revealed herself, why?" Kaiba asked, but did not wait for an answer before asking his next question at Aqua herself. "What did you mean when you said you had a "suggestion"?" Aqua was patient and not affected by Kaiba's bad attitude.
"I know how we can protect Mokuba from Noah while still meeting his demands. By doing so, we would avoid the risk of him killing Yoko Sakaki and Shuzo Hiragi." The whole group was surprised by this.
"Really? You have a plan?" Yugi asked. Aqua turned to him.
"I do. I am confident it will work."
"Please tell us." Yusho insisted. The Water Ignis then turned to Yugi, Yuya, and Yuzu.
"I am sorry, but I must discuss this without the three of you present." This shocked them.
"What?! Why not?!" Yuya demanded.
"My dad and Yuya's mom are being held hostage! If there is a plan to keep them alive, then we have to know!" Yuzu added, angry of being shut out so suddenly. Aqua shook her head.
"I cannot tell you. All I ask is that you trust me. Believe me, I know what I am doing."
"Aqua! Why can't we know?!" Yuya asked further, infuriated by her words. The Water Ignis did not reply. Yugi finally stepped in.
"I trust you Aqua, even though I don't understand why we shouldn't know anything." He then turned to the couple. "If she doesn't want to tell us, then there has to be a reason."
"But Yugi…" Yuya protested. Yusho placed a hand on each of the upset teen's shoulders.
"Enough. We must believe in Aqua. I do." He said firmly to them. After another agonizing moment, Yuya and Yuzu finally caved in.
"Alright." Yuya said gloomily.
"Fine." Yuzu said, not sounding any happier.
"Then it's settled." Yusho said, closing the matter.
"Let's head back to the game shop. I'll call Joey and the others to meet us there so we can tell them what's going on." Yugi suggested. Yusho nodded in agreement.
"Good idea. When I'm done here, I will help go keep Solomon company at his "safe house"." He then turned to Pegasus. "I assume you'll be returning home to run your company?" To his surprise, the man shook his head.
"Actually, I'll go with you Yusho and look after him. I'm in no hurry to get back. Plus, I couldn't leave knowing Yuya and Yuzu's loved ones are in such peril. I want to do something useful here." His insistence really surprised everyone, especially Yugi.
"Really Pegasus?" He asked. Pegasus nodded firmly.
"Absolutely, Yugi-boy. Think of it as an personal act of penitence from your old opponent." Yugi appeared to know what he was talking about, because he just smiled and nodded back.
"I'm grateful. Thank you." He turned back toward Yuya and Yuzu. "Okay, let's go." With that, a very reluctant Yuzu handed her Duel Disk to Yusho (which contained Aqua) and walked out of sight with her boyfriend and close friend. Now it was just Yusho, Pegasus, and the Kaiba brothers with the Water Ignis.
"Alright, we're alone now. Tell us your plan to protect my brother." Kaiba ordered.
Once all remaining eyes were on Aqua, she explained her plan.
"By using the advanced hologram technology from the Action Duel program on one of your Action Disks, I will assume Mokuba's identity and take his place when you leave for Noah's tower. I can modify my voice to match his and mimic his personality perfectly. Noah will not be able to tell the difference. Meanwhile, the real Mokuba will be hidden elsewhere. He can stay with Solomon Muto at Duke Devlin's residence. I can adjust the holograms on the other Disk to actually make Mokuba invisible. That way he can sneak out of the building and move to safety without being noticed by anyone incase we are being watched."
Everyone was awestruck. "Woah. Would that really work?" Mokuba asked, sounding impressed.
"If we do this, Noah won't suspect any foul play." Aqua said. Not everyone felt as sure.
"But won't you place yourself in danger?" Yusho asked, now fearing for Aqua's life.
"I will be alright, Yusho. I will upload half of my data into your Duel Disk while the other half will go in the Action Disk that I will use to impersonate Mokuba. If anything happens to my half at the tower, I will immediately transfer that half to your Disk, making me whole again." She said.
"Noah won't detect the transfer?" Pegasus asked. Aqua shook her head.
"My base code is far more advanced than his. It will be undetectable to him."
"What about the Mokuba hologram? Won't that fail if you transferred yourself out of there?" Kaiba questioned.
"No. My data will be removed, but the hologram will remain active in my absence as long as the Action Disk remains undamaged." Aqua explained.
"Why keep all this a secret from Yugi and the others?" Mokuba asked. Aqua appeared regretful, but her response was resolute.
"For my plan to work, it has to be as believable as possible. Which means almost no one must know of the deception." She then turned to Kaiba. "Seto, you will be the only one there that will be aware of what is really going on. It is vital that you play your part perfectly, especially if something unexpected happens to me and the Mokuba hologram." Kaiba narrowed his eyes.
"Do you know if something will happen?" He asked, feeling suspicious. Aqua hesitated again before answering.
"As I said, you must trust me. I am doing this to protect your brother, as well as Yoko and Shuzo until they can be rescued." Kaiba continued to stare at the Ignis for a long moment. Aqua stared back, unblinking. Finally…
"Alright. If this will protect my little brother, then so be it. I don't usually trust Mokuba's life to anyone but myself. You better hope this works." Kaiba said in a warning tone. Aqua nodded.
"It will."
Flashback End
Once adjustments were made and the program was activated, Aqua's Mokuba hologram was a total success. It was nearly impossible to distinguish the real Mokuba from the fake. It even felt solid, thanks to the advanced hologram technology. The younger Kaiba was just as wowed when he made himself invisible with the other modified Disk. Later, when Kaiba dropped off Yusho and Pegasus, the invisible Mokuba left with them. He would then follow them to Duke's place silently and safely.
Kaiba was actually glad he listened to the little A.I.. He expected Noah would take Mokuba captive again like before. He never would've imagined the evil child would try to outright kill his precious little brother. That underhanded tactic just made Kaiba hate him even more. Kaiba finally looked up at his stepbrother. He never looked so pissed in his life… which was how he needed to look. "Noah… YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS WITH YOUR LIFE!" He roared. Noah merely smirked.
"Just what I expected you to say. But I'm afraid you'll have to wait to get your chance…"
"What do you…?" Kaiba couldn't finish the question before a large glass container dropped down from the ceiling, trapping him and Mokuba's body inside.
"Kaiba!" Yugi shouted.
"Anyone got something to smash it with?!" Joey suggested.
"Don't bother trying. That glass is bulletproof. You won't even be able to put a dent in it." Noah revealed.
"What are you playing at now, Noah?!" Kaiba demanded. Noah chuckled.
"What am I playing? Why, the Death-T Games of course!" He exclaimed excitedly.
"Death-T Games?" Yuya asked. Noah nodded.
"Yes." He then spread his arms out as he explained. "This tower contains many different games, all of which are fatal if you don't watch your step. For the past month, I have "borrowed" a small amount of the Kaiba family fortune, as well some of KaibaCorp's profits. Just enough to get the project up and running for this day."
"You stole from me and my company?!" Kaiba yelled, outraged by the act.
"I assure you Seto, it wasn't that much. That money will be put back… after I finally take control of my father's company." Noah said with confidence. Kaiba snarled and shook with real rage this time.
'Noah… just how twisted have you become?' Yugi wondered.
"Enough Noah! Tell me where my mom is!" Yuya yelled.
"And my dad!" Yuzu added, just as upset.
"Of course. Where are my manners?" Noah then snapped his fingers. Like before, images of Yoko and Shuzo appeared. They looked the same as before, held captive and helpless. "They are each held in different locations within my tower. Shuzo is far down below you, while Yoko is way up on top… with me and Vivian. I'm afraid you'll have to split up to find them both. The door labeled Death T-1 will lead you on the path to Yoko, and the Death T-F door will take you to Shuzo. Be warned: Once you step beyond those doors, my Death-T Games will begin. If you somehow manage to survive to the end, you just might be able to leave here alive… maybe." He then laughed.
"Why trap me?! Am I not taking part in your sick games?!" Kaiba asked angrily.
"I have a special role for you, Seto. I'm simply keeping you on the sidelines for now. Believe me, what I have in mind for you is going to be insane." Noah told him, his voice full of anticipation.
"I don't know why you've changed Noah, but we will save our friends and stop you!" Yugi declared.
"Ha. I can't wait to see you try. Now take a moment to decide who goes where. Don't keep me waiting." Noah said before his hologram vanished. Kaiba then slammed his fist on the ground.
"Damn him!" He shouted, furious at him for everything. He then looked back at everyone else was convinced was Mokuba. 'At least my little brother is safe from all this…' He assured himself. Kaiba then saw the others staring at him. They all looked sympathetic.
"Kaiba, we're so sorry about Mokuba." Yuya said to him. Kaiba snorted at him.
"Saying sorry won't change anything." He said, sounding bitter. "Now forget about me and just do what you came here to do." Though they hated it, the group knew Kaiba was right. They still had a chance to save Yoko and Shuzo, and they had to take it.
"Alright." Yugi said. He had a very bad feeling about what Noah had in mind for Kaiba.
"My mom is up there with Noah, so I'm going through Death T-1." Yuya decided, clearly a no brainer.
"I'm taking Death T-F to get to my dad." Yuzu declared.
"I'll go with you, Yuya. I strongly believe we need to work together to stop Noah." Yugi told him. Yuya nodded in agreement.
"I'm coming with you Yugi." Tèa volunteered, vowing to keep her boyfriend safe.
"Same here, Yug. You're not heading into any life threatening games without your best friend to back you up!" Joey said strongly.
"That makes three of us." Tristan said.
"Count me in." Serenity added, also stepping up.
"Thanks you guys…" Yuya said gratefully.
"As for me, I'm going with Yuzu. She needs a big sister to look after her." Mai said, wrapping an arm around the younger girl. Mai had become quite fond of Yuzu and didn't want anything to happen to her. Yuzu really appreciated her coming along.
"Mai ain't going nowhere without me, Death-T or no Death-T." Valon said, standing beside his woman.
"I'll also go with Yuzu." Bakura said, hoping he can be of some use.
That just left Miho, who seemed indecisive about who to go with. On the one hand, she wanted to stay with Serenity. On the other, she felt Yuzu might need another person to accompany her. 'I can't decide. What should I do?' She just couldn't choose.
"Miho, go with Yuzu." Miho stared at Serenity in shock.
"W-What? You don't want me to help you?" She asked, not understanding.
"That's not it. You can help me by helping Yuzu and the others. I've got plenty of people to look after me already." She said, looking at her brother and his friends. "They'll keep me safe, I know it. And I'll do what I can to help them." Serenity then turned back to Miho. "You can do the same for them." Miho still seemed reluctant to leave her side. Serenity walked over to her and hugged her. "I'll be okay. Just promise me you'll be okay too."
Miho hugged her back. "I… I promise." She said shakily.
"Thank you." Serenity then moved back to her group.
Yuya and Yuzu then hugged each other tight. "You and your dad get back safe, Yuzu." Yuya said softly. Yuzu nodded while smiling.
"You and your mom to, Yuya. I love you." Yuya smiled back.
"I love you too." The couple shared a brief kiss before joining their respective groups.
After wishing each other luck and vowing to all come back in one piece, the two groups marched toward their respective doors. They opened as they approached, revealing themselves to be elevators. Once they all stepped inside, the doors closed and the elevators moved to their destinations.
Kaiba and the fake Mokuba were the only ones left in the anti chamber now. He had no choice now but to sit down and wait for whatever his demented stepbrother had planned for him… and he strongly felt he wasn't going to like it one bit.
"You better not die, Yugi."
/\/\/\/\/\/\
Up in his command center, which was full of camera monitors, Noah sat in a cushy chair and smiled. He observed as both groups were being taken to the separate floors of the building. "Looks like the games will start momentarily." He said to Vivian, who stood beside him. She shared his smile.
"This is going to be good." She said, eagerly awaiting for the action to start. Noah nodded.
"Indeed. Now then… time to get "them" ready." He said before pressing a button. One of the monitors revealed a man who's face couldn't be seen. "It's me. You've got company heading your way. Get your team ready. The fun is about to start in a few minutes." The man chuckled.
"About time! My people were getting bored in here! We're on it, sir!"
"Good. You and your people have fun." Noah then looked gave a more serious look. "Just remember your orders." The man nodded.
"Got it! We won't fail you!" With a nod, Noah broke the connection. He then refocused his attention on the group heading to Death T-1. Noah smiled evilly, knowing what lay ahead for Yugi, Yuya, and all those other fools that had decided to come here. They were all going to wish they hadn't.
'Finally, it begins.'
To be continued.
