Booker T soon lead the senior year boys over to the new sports hall, instructing them to warm up on the way over. If only to ensure the joint lesson could commence the moment all of them were over. Upon reaching the new building around the back of the school, Lita stood near the glass doors, clad in an old team extreme t-shirt and joggers, her dark red hair tied back in a messy ponytail. A thin layer of sweat coating her, from where she had done the warm up with the impatient senior year girls sat in the hall waiting for the lesson to truly begin. Most were talking among themselves, trying to work out what the lesson would be, would it be the normal volleyball practice with a warm up game, or the more aggressive dodge-ball with the boys rules implemented. Either way the conversations began to die down the moment the boys began to file into the large newly built hall, joining the girls on the bleachers. The sight of the girls in either shorts, joggers, t-shirts or sports bra's hitting them quickly, even more so when some of them became self-conscious and wanted nothing more than to either cover up or for the boys to look away.
"Sir this isn't a sports hall, its a mini area" commented Xavier as he walked passed to the two sports teachers. Kofi and Big E not speaking a word as they all but marveled at the large building. Lita chuckling at the comment, more for it mimicking Shayna's comment upon the girls also entering the building. Each of the boys found somewhere to sit on the bleachers, Punk and Dean all but racing each other, to see whom could get to their girlfriends position first. Corey carefully making his way up the bleachers, shortly followed by Roman and Seth, Drew just behind them where as Aleister and Finn seemingly using their normal magic tricks to just appear, both of them quiet as normal. Each of them taking notice of the new girl sat with Brie's group, she seemed confident, even flirting with a few of the boys whom had been curious enough to introduce themselves.
"Alright, lets get started" called Lita, making sure she was loud enough to get the attention of those at the top of the bleachers as well. Ensure all the conversations of the latest celebrity gossip and rumors come to an end. "First of all, lets all welcome Serenity Irons, she's transferred from Sacred Heart Academy" started the well versed teacher, gesturing for Serenity to stand, so those whom had yet to notice her, knew whom she was. Once she'd done so Lita returned to things a little more important, i.e. how the class would work now they would have joint classes rather than separate sports routines. "Until the timetable is mended, you lot will be sharing all sports classes and activities, that means swim, outdoor and all sports. Today we'll be kicking off with some icebreakers. A few rounds of dodge-ball" announced Lita, hearing some of the girls cheer at the chance to play dodge-ball while some of the boys seemed hesitant about the girls being included.
"The rules are as follows" started Booker, quickly noticing those whom were apart of Brie and Daniel's group, including Serenity were deep into their own conversations, too busy to listen to what he was saying. "That means you lot at the front as well. I'll only be explaining the changed rules once" added the boys sports teacher, just like always, refusing to stand by and allow any student to think they were in control or slack off. "For the first few games we'll be playing with foam balls, first round will be guys vs girls. After that two captains will be chosen at random. Boys no targeting the girls breasts or butts. Girls no targeting the boys junk. Once you've been eliminated return to the bleachers until the game is over. Right everyone on the court" explained Booker, although missing the consequences to occur if the boys did purposely target the girls and vise versa. Both Booker and Lita watched as each moved from the bleachers, the boys taking the left side of the court while the girls scattered across the right side, the thick black line through the center of the court marking out where they couldn't cross.
It didn't take long for the girls to begin to huddle together at Rhea's instruction, quickly realizing they needed a game plan if they stood a chance at winning or at least putting up a fight. It wasn't too much longer before the girls moved to specific spots on their side of the court, Serenity being the last one to do so, as it become clear she hadn't been paying any attention, instead playing with her hair. Lita soon threw six foam balls to each side, as Booker go ready with the whistle, waiting for the balls to be picked up by each side. Both coaches taking notice when Shayna picked two balls, throwing one to AJ and another Echo, before resuming her guard position with a third ball. The boys on the other hand had started with their normal strategy, their heavy hitter in Braun, Drew, Kevin, Roman, Luke Gallows and Luke Harper at the front with the other spread out behind them.
Upon the whistle being blown, the game officially began. Both Luke's, Roman and Braun all threw their foam ball the moment the whistle sounded, Drew and Kevin keeping hold of their's when they noticed the girls didn't throw theirs and instead now had ten of the twelve balls rather than just six. Both quickly realizing the girls were more savvy that originally thought, as a few others were quickly realizing. Brie soon launched her ball, watching as it bounced off Jinder's head, although she hadn't meant to eliminate him, she laughed none the less. Asuka too threw hers, aiming to eliminate Shinsuke, although she had missed due to Sami pulling his fellow team mate out of the way. Both balls were collected by the boys with Daniel wasting little time in throwing his one back, aiming at those he considered beneath him, frustrated when he missed all he was aiming at, although he did eliminate Serenity whom just stood there in confusion. Mere seconds later Daniel had heard someone call his name, only to be met with a soft ball smacking him in the face, Carmella bowing as he left the court, indicating she had been the one to throw the ball. Taking advantage of Brie calling him.
Brie's complaints were soon brought to an end, when she too was eliminated, this time AJ Styles taking advantage. Throwing the ball, hitting her in the back of the shoulder with it. Resulting in the younger Bella twin to merely flip him off before leaving the court. Baron was soon handed a ball by Kevin, with advice not to ignore the rules this time. The teen known as the Lone Wolf, simple nodded before launching the ball, hitting Kaitlyn in the side of the head, to which he immediately began to cheer at the success. The ball had narrowly missed Eva, with Maryse moving from the path when she realized the ball was heading for her. Tamina on the other hand made it her personal mission to eliminate all those whom followed Daniel around mindlessly, picking her target in Bobby Lashley, she threw the ball watching with amusement, Lashley had stepped back in an attempt to avoid the ball, only to topple over when the ball hit his lower legs and rolled under his feet. Tamina had smiled victoriously, a chuckle escaping her as another ball flew past her, this time hitting Roman, Echo doing her own victory dance and dodging the ball Aleister had thrown her way.
"Aren't you guys supposed to be pros at this?" asked Carmella, being flanked by AJ, Cross, Nikki, Echo, Shayna and Rhea, the only girls still left in the game. Carmella soon grinned innocently, as she seen the way the remaining boys looked to each other, quickly realizing although there was seven girls left, they were still outnumbered. She soon ducked when Dean threw a ball her way, Miz doing a similar thing with AJ, resulting in both missing, and the girls gaining all but one of the balls. Both boys quickly realized their mistake held up the timeout sign. If only so the boys could come up with a better game plan, as the girls were clearly able to see through their current one. Just as they reached their new positions, two more balls flew across the court, at the handsof AJ and Echo, whom opted to eliminate the only two whom could predict theirs and both Nikki's moves.
"We'll get yah back for that" remarked Finn, as both he and Aleisterleft the court. Both girls gesturing they had heard the comment in different ways, AJ stuck her tongue out, while dodging the ball Corey threw her way. Where as Echo merely saluted the pair, before throwing another ball to the boys, narrowly missing Seth. Dean and Seth soon but their team work to good use, with Seth using his brains to work out the girls strategy, quickly he signaled for Dean to aim at Rhea while he aimed at Shayna. Thrust eliminating the muscle of the girls team. Corey soon threw his ball, managing to cause a pinball effect, when the foam ball bounced off Carmella and Cross, thrust eliminating them both, a consequence being the three remaining girls had all twelve balls on their side of the court.
Nikki, AJ and Echo nodded to each other, each throwing a single ball at the same person. Dean successfully managing to dodge one but quickly fell victim to the other two sent in his direction. The lunatic simply bowed before returning to the bleachers, as if acknowledging the well played strategy the girls had implemented. Nikki didn't give the remaining three time to think of a new game plan, as she quickly threw a ball at Seth while he was distracted, thrust taking him out of the equation. Corey quickly responded with eliminating Echo, whom gracefully left the court behind Seth, accepting his helping hand when tripping over Serenity's outstretched foot, something the new girl was quickly reprimanded for by Lita.
Echo watched the rest of the game with interested, how AJ seemed intent on targeting Miz, much like Nikki did the same with Corey. Nikki succeeding with taking Corey from the game, he'd jumped to miss one ball, only to be hit with a second, she'd thrown quicklyafter the first. Miz had taken AJ from the game shortly after, smiling when she skipped from the court to join her friends on the bleachers. The hall seemingly falling into silence, with the exception of Brie and Daniel loudly making plans for the weekend and flirting with each other. The game ending in a draw, as Nikki managed to hit Miz with her ball, only to be hit with the one he'd thrown shortly after. Both shaking hands as a sign of respect.
A few more games followed, AJ Styles and Natalya been picked as team captains. Styles being sure to pick the girls he knew were better as an asset rather than enemy, doing the same with the boys to ensure he had a strong team. Where as Natalya picked her friends, thrust believing they would have better team work. Both teams using different strategies as well. Natalya's team aiming at those often targeted for the torment and bullying, where as Style's side embracing what made each strong and using some of the tactics from the previous game. The third game was when the foam balls were put away and the normal harder balls were used, each side being warned again not to aim at certain areas, and not to do head shots with these balls.
The bell signalling break soon rang through the new sports hall. Booker T announcing he and Lita would unlock the locker rooms if they needed to get something, as well as instructing each to return to the sports hall at the end of break. Those considered popular were the first out the door, most likely to avoid detention for as long as possible or unleash their own personal brand of torment on some more unfortunate students. Daniel and Brie would no doubt be heading to the canteen, with the intention of lecturing those there about the pros of a vegetarian diet, as well as loudly sharing their unwanted opinions with everyone there. Seth, Dean, Roman, Coreyand Punk on the other hand, chose to casually walk around the school, at least until they reached the smaller of the sports halls, at which point both Corey and Roman said their goodbyes for the time being. Roman opting to get the detention over and done with, where as Corey likely to annoy Stone Cold even more than normal.
"So what you gonna do about you crush?" asked Dean, suspecting Seth's crush on Echo would be common knowledge by now, thanks to Roman in the corridor earlier on. All three boys continued their walk around the brick buildings, parents called a school, but students called a prison of torment. "You know other than borderline stalking her" added the teen often called a Lunatic, his sarcastic remark not going unnoticed by Seth, as evident by the deadpan look to appear on the brunette's features. Yet Dean's cheeky grin remained unmoved, as Punk began to chuckle, recalling when Seth had said a similar thing the year prior when it come to AJ. "Come on Seth, you have every class with her, surely you can think of some bright ideas" commented the lunatic, as he recalled how Punk's pursuit of AJ had been the center of attention last year. Everyone knew of it, somehow Dean doubted this would be any different.
"What do you two think of the new girl?" asked Punk, recalling the chestnut haired girl seemed to be an attention seeker. Yet at the same time seemed dimwitted. He'd watched her throughout the class, how she ignored most of the girls, with the exception of Brie and her group, made judgmental remarks about others and often attempted to flirt with each of the boys, never seeming to get the hint they weren't interested. Seth simply rolled his eyes at the mention of Serenity, having noticed she joined in with the bullying rather than standing up to those whom tormented others for fun. Dean wasn't much better, sighing loudly and over dramatically, as if attempting to impersonate what Serenity had been like earlier when she had been eliminated first for the third time in a row.
"Another barbie doll in a plastic world" responded Dean, noticing Aleister, Finn and Drew up ahead, almost as if they were signalling the group of girls they so often protected were close by. "Why don't we do a group thing this weekend, go to the cinemas or something. Help the girls feel a little more comfortable, as well as help Seth and Drewwith their shared troubles" added the lunatic, returning the subject back the crush Seth had on Echo and the one Drew had admitted he had on Nikki, although the teen known as Fearless seemed oblivious to the playful flirting, and sweet compliments. It was almost as if shehad closed her heart off, after John had broke it the year before and Brie had betrayed her shortly after. Almost as the idea of falling in love again scared her more than anything else school life could throw at her.
"But first we'd have to convince Echo its not another joke to hurt her, and Nikki to take the chance at love again" replied Drew, knowing in this case Finn and Aleister weren't the biggest obstacles, the past was. Echo had trusted Austin Theory and Andrade, she'd truly believed they were her friends and were helping her, right up until it was revealed to be nothing more than a joke meant to humiliate her. All of it had been planned out by Brie and her close group of mean girls. Of course they pleaded their innocence when Echo had sought revenge, although it did little to help, especially when they were still paying the price for it. As did everyone else under the popular banner.
"If this jackass hurts Echo, the demonic duo there cankick his ass around the school. Hell I'd help" responded Punk, noticing the way Finn and Aleister looked to each other, a knowing look. Almost as if the two could read his mind and knew he was serious. "I'd help if Drew's idiotic enough to break Nikki's heart again as well" commented the teen known as the Voice of the Voiceless, seeing how Drew simply nodded, as if agreeing to the terms, although he seemed unsure if any of them would go through with it.
"They'reon the bleachers, with Carmella. Watching the cheerleaders attempt their new routine" spoke Aleister, knowing well at least Carmella and Nikki were waiting for the group of girls to make a mistake, if only so they could laugh at something. Carmella often hoped to see the so called perfect Charlotte miss a step or two, while Nikki hoped to see her twin in Brie mess up. The Bella twins still with a broken sisterhood, initiated by Brie the year prior. Although Brie always insisted Nikki had caused it by being a loser and not being able to keep up. Corey grinned before leading the way to the bleachers near the sports fields, he knew Carmella loved spending time with the girls there. She always said they were honest and never afraid to be themselves, where as the rest of the cheer leading squad, were nothing more than drama llamas.
"Ooh looks like we have some visitors" laughed Cross, as she bounced on her spot, not being able to stay still for longer than a few seconds due to her never ending sugar rush. Each of the boys ensuring they stayed out of Carmella's camera shot, as she filmed the cheerleaders,with Drew ducking, Renee soon ran down the bleachers, jumping on Dean moments later, the lunatic only just managing to keep his balance. AJ on the other waited until Punk took a seat and slowly nudged closer to him, until she was practically on his lap, an innocent grin plastered on her lips the entire time. A few giggles escaping the others to have witnessed it.
"Anyone down for the cinemas on Friday night?" asked Punk, making a mental note to tell Corey and Roman if things went to plan. Drew and Seth looked at him in almost horror, to the point Seth missed the bench and landed on the wood beneath his feet, Echo being the one to help him to his feet, trying to hold back her amusement as she asked if he was okay, concern sprinkled in her calm voice. "Echo gets to choose the movie" added Punk, the midnight haired teen turned to him in suspicion, clearly suspecting he was up to something. Althoughdidn'tspeak a word on the subject, instead looking to Seth next to her, showing she was well aware of his crush on her, as well as showing how uneasy she felt about it. Nikki too seemed suspicious, although she seemed oblivious to the reason why she was been invited along or why it was a group activity involving those from her old social group. Before the major changes.
"You got my word ladies, no suspicious activity" uttered Dean, attempting to reassure the girls, knowing most trusted him due to being involved in several activities with them before. Renee insisting she wanted her friends and boyfriend to get along. "Me and Renee will be there, as will Finn and Aleister with their mystery partners" added the Lunatic, knowing Roman would tag along, as Corey was guaranteed to be there with Carmella. Echo soonnodded silently before returning her attention to the group of girls on the field, as did Nikki, just in time to see both Kaitlyn and Eva all but face plant the grass, Serenityhelping them up with enthusiasm and Brie screaming they did the move wrong, along with something about it having to be perfect for the homecoming game. Carmella chuckled, finally have the perfect ammo against the girls, even more so when she sent the video to everyone in senior year, ensuringboth girls would be the center of attention for a while, and giving Seth some peace for now.
"Hate to break it to you but Aleister's girlfriend is right here" commented AJ, looking to her right at Cross, still bouncing on the spot and causing everyone on the beach to slightly bounce with her. Cross's only reaction was to giggle wildly, the sugar motivating her as normal. Aleister on the other hand looked as if he wanted to disappear. "Sorry to say, but you makeit more obvious than Seth in sports class earlier" added the petite brunette, pointing how just how obvious the pair could be. Once again Cross only giggled, where Aleister only rolled his eyes, as if admitting defeat.
"Kinda like Finn and Becky" replied Nikki, bursting the bubble of the two lovingly named the Irish Connection. Both looked to Nikki, as if she'd turned into the thing they feared the most, yet soon turned to each other. Wondering if they'd really been that obvious, or if they're attempts to hide it had been that bad. At the same time both wondered how long the rest had known, and just kept quiet about it. "Ah don't worry we all find it adorable. Like AJ and Punk over there, a high school love story" spoke the eldest Bella twin, a soft smile on her lips, no longer did she feel sad about her terrible relationship ending, instead she was happy for it as it helped her find who she really was.
"Any of you relegated toHomecoming committee this year?" asked Renee, knowing for most Homecoming was the biggest event of the school year, but for the seniors it was merely a warm up for the prom. A fun get together, if they chose to attend. Something most skipped out on, knowing Brie would be there demanding things be done a specific way or certain students to leave or not be let in. Somehow things always ended up being a party to celebrate Daniel or something Brie and her girls had supposedly achieved. Never once had it been a friendly school dance where all students felt welcome, or a reminder for the winter swim team. Although this year would be a little different.
"Yup. Trish requested me again" responded Echo, rolling her eyes at the thought of being on the committee for the second year running. Last year she was ignored, being nothing more than a slave for the popular students whom had seen her as a plaything for them to torment and be cruel to. It only made her wonder why Trish had requested she be there again, especially knowing if the popular girls were there again, history would repeat itself, yet it also intrigued her to known she was also the only student Trish had specifically request for the committee.
"Same here. Hunter put me on it last week, as a weird way to punish Daniel" replied Seth, suddenly finding himself looking forward to the committee, even more so now he knew Echo was also apart of it. Yet at the same time the student known as the Architect, remembered how he ended up as part of it. How Daniel had continuously yelled no to everything Hunter said during the cover lesson. Ignoring all the warning and even stating he would protest going to detention. So Hunter had simply asked who Daniel liked the least in the room, when Daniel had said Seth's name. Seth had been confused at first, having tuned out of what was going on, Hunter had grinned while politely telling Seth he was on the Homecoming Committee and Daniel was banned from it and all other student committees that year.
