Of this version of the story. HA! Mislead! Bet I had you going there for a bit didn't I? You're probably wondering what I mean by that. Well, not to overcomplicate things, I'm switching from fanon to canon. Replacing most of the OC's with the OG's, as my associate put it. Instead of Ash and the Rugrid Family, Kai and the Ozu family will be taking the stage. You're probably wondering what prompted this.
Recently, I've been thinking a lot about the direction of this story. And it wasn't until I started my Garo X Hazbin Hotel Fanfic that I hit a breakthrough. In said fanfic, I'll be introducing Canon Characters from the Live Action Garo series alongside my own OC's in a way that clicked more than it did with the way I chose to do Mystic Rebirth and that kinda felt off to me. It wasn't until I heard that CowboyAlchemist was rewriting The Seventh Son that I finally came to this decision.
So to recap, I'll be rewriting Mystic Rebirth. There'll be less OC's and more canon characters. That means the Ozu Family will replace the Rugrid Family. I know some of you guys have gotten used to Ash & Ray, but I feel as though this is for the best for things in the long run, especially with the sequels I have planned. The story's in for a big overhaul. Some things will remain the same, instead of Ash, Kai (who will be 14 in the new version) will be shipped with Luz and instead of Ray, Tsubasa (who will be 15) will be paired with Amity. But other than that there'll be a lot of revisions. I'll still be keeping some of my own headcanons and a few OC's here and there, though. In hindsight, it's best to do it now while the chapters are in the single digits. Also, just a heads up, it'll only still be available here on this site, so after this coming Wednesday, it won't be up on Wattpad anymore.
I'm not entirely sure what I'll call it yet. So far, the title Mahou Rebirth is just a placeholder title. I may think of something different after a while. That aside, hope you all will enjoy for the newest version of this story. I know this comes as a blow for a lot of you, but I promise I'll give a full in depth explanation in the reboots' first chapter. Not that I believe any answer I give will satisfy your desire to know why, I don't believe that at all. But I feel I owe you all the full truth, that's all. As a parting gift, I'll leave up this version of the story, I promise I won't unpublish it. I'll even upload Ash's Character bio in a separate upload.
Anyway, the next time I update this, it will be for the reboots' upload announcement.
