Jayfeather was first to breakfast. The events from the previous night still lurked in his mind, but he pushed them away for now. He had decided to them a secret. Knowledge was power here, but he didn't want the imposters to see him as too powerful, and come to kill him. Well, maybe he could tell at least one cat. But who did he trust? Jayfeather wouldn't tell Breezepelt of course... Maybe Brightheart or Ferncloud? Yeah, he would try to catch one of them on their own.

At that second, Jayfeather heard footsteps, and Tigerstar came through the door. He sat down opposite Jayfeather, clearly wanting to have a conversation.
"I know my name will probably be mentioned lots at throughout today, but I want to justify myself to you now," Tigerstar said, waiting for Jayfeather to give him acknowledgement.
"Okay..." Jayfeather prompted.
"Well, I genuinely thought that Cloudtail was an imposter, and it was actually Ferncloud who first mentioned his name."
"Alright, I get that," Jayfeather reached over to grab some food from an intricately decorated blue and white bowl.

Soon, nearly all of the cats were in the breakfast room. Only Briarlight, Tawnypelt and Bumblestripe weren't there. 'At least one of them had to be dead!' Jayfeather thought wretchedly.
"Oh no! What if they're dead!" Brightheart exclaimed, worry radiating from her pelt.
"No, it can't be ALL of them! Not on the second day!" Poppyfrost whimpered.
"Mhmhnmhhbbhmmmnnhmnmhnhm!"
"Berrynose! Thats discusting! Talk without food in your mouth!" Mistystar sounded like she was about to be sick.
"Yeah! You got food all over my fur!" Crowfeather complained.
"Guys! You're over-reacting! It was an honest mistake!" Poppyfrost immediately came to Berrynose's defence.
Crowfeather let out an irritated snort, "Says you!"
Before Berrynose (who had now finished eating) could snap back at him, there was a loud knock on the door. Everyone stopped. Jayfeather felt his heart beat quicken, and without knowing it, he held his breath.
"Come in!" he swallowed nervously.
The door swung open suddenly. A brown pelt flashed before his eyes. Another cat came up behind it. It had tawny fur.
"Briarlight! Tawnypelt!" someone called out.
"WOOOOOOO!" everyone cheered.
The two cats who had just walked in seemed confused.
"Are we the last? Is that why you were cheering?" Tawnypelt asked.
"Yes... Bumblestripe's gone," Jayfeather managed to choke out.
"Noooooo!" Briarlight wailed, "He was my brother!"
At that moment, Quailwing strolled in through the huge doors opposite to where the players came through.
"Hellooooo, players!" she yelled, beaming at them, "Are you all having a nice time?"
"Yep, thanks for asking!" Dovewing was the only one to reply. Everyone else was silently watching the host.
Quailwing smiled. Then, Jayfeather could make out that she was confused.
"Hang on..." she frowned, then started to count them, "1... 2...3...4...8...10..15...17...19...20,21! Hmm..."
She wandered over to where their names hung up on the wall.
"Ah, the imposter's first victim," her voice had a hint of sorrow in it, but overall, she spoke with no emotion, as she reached up to take off Bumblestripe's name, "Bumblestripe."
The cats hung there heads low.
"And now..." Quailwing ripped into the name, dividing it into many tiny pieces, "We must say goodbye."
She let the bits of paper go, and blew. They fluttered out of the window.
"Goodbye Bumblestripe," Jayfeather muttered under his breath so nobody else could hear, "I will avenge you."
As Jayfeather stretched and stood up to leave the dining hall, he could hear the other cats exiting. Breezepelt was among them. He smiled. A sly smile, which made Jayfeather shiver.
'I have to go and find Brightheart!' he decided.
