The cats gathered around the table, wondering who would be voted out next. Both Jayfeather and Breezepelt were prepared to fight for their survival- to fight for the truth, to fight for a lie. Jayfeather hadn't had the chance to speak to Brightheart, but he knew she'd back him up, but, then again, who could he really trust in a game twisted with lies.

Quailwing wandered into the room, "The poor innocent, Cloudtail, was banished yesterday. Will another of his kind suffer the same fate, or will they be able to identify and banish an imposter? Let the trial begin!"

The cats circling the table gazed intensely into each other's eyes, silently. But the moment only lasted a few seconds before Tigerstar broke the silence, "I'm going tonight, aren't I?"

Some of the cats murmured their response, while some nodded sadly.

"Before I go," Tigerstar began, "I would like to announce my suspects, not that you'll listen, anyway (but I guarantee you will after I go tonight)."

Everyone leaned in closer, intrigued by Tigerstar's announcement.

"Ivypool, Briarlight and Berrynose are the imposters."

But Jayfeather knew at least one of them was fake. Tigerstar gave everyone a last pleading look. That was when Breezepelt spoke up, "Tigerstar is not the imposter. Infact, there is someone who we should be voting out right this second," as his eyes rested on Jayfeather, Jayfeather felt ice rising to his from his stomach, "Jayfeather is an imposter."

Ferncloud, one of Jayfeather's most trusted allies, exclaimed, "What?! Jayfeather's been nothing but loyal throughout this whole game!"

Jayfeather the most grateful he had been towards her in this game, "Breezepelt, I'm quite sure you've forgotten when you KILLED BUMBLESTRIPE last night!"

Breezepelt looked baffled, even Jayfeather was convinced for a second, "I- I can't understand where this accusation came from!"

"Oh, you know full well where it came from!" Jayfeather was fuming. How did Breezepelt act so calm?!

"What are you talking about? I-an innocent- would never dream of harming Bumblestripe!" histone suddenly changed from oft and confused, to sly and a bit triumphant, "Do you have any evidence?"

Jayfeather realised that Breezepelt thought he'd won, but he had a few dangerous, but well-planned tricks prepared for this moment.

"Yes. Yes, I do," Jayfeather grinned at the sudden flash of panic in Breezepelt's face. Jayfeather pulled out the knife from last night- yes, he knew the risk, but it was a risk he was willing to take to reveal the truth about Breezepelt. The knife was still drenched in his blood, but the blood had dried now, it wasn't fresh. A few shocked gasps came from the other players- even Quailwing, who was stood in a nearby corner looked surprised. Breezepelt gave a snort of amusement, "You really think someone's gonna believe that? I mean, it could just be your knife you used to kill Bumblestripe with!"

Some cats seemed to side with Breezepelt, but some gave him sceptical glances.

Jayfeather knew That Breezepelt's defence would have gone exactly like so, and he was prepared, "Ok, so you how do you explain…" Jayfeather pulled up his sleeve (Author's note: I decided to make these cat-humans, because it was kinda hard to write a cat holding a knife) to reveal a deep cut, wrapped in a tight bandage, "This! Do you really think that I would cut myself so deep, that I would surely die of blood loss if I hadn't have treated it sooner?"

"You could be protecting yourself from me, as I know you're an imposter by pretending to have nearly been killed yourself," Breezepelt looked satisfied, but Jayfeather had already thought of a response that would leave Breezepelt stuck for words. Just as Jayfeather was about to speak, Tigerstar spoke up, "I think you need more time to investigate this accusation in more detail," many cats seemed to agree with him, but Jayfeather was furious, "Banish me tonight. This will leave you more time to discover the truth."

Everyone nodded in agreement. Jayfeather tried to hide his fear, but he couldn't help it. He was going to die if Breezepelt wasn't outvoted right then. Briarlight was sat next to him. She must have noticed his sudden panic. She put her arm around his shoulder. It helped a little bit, but not a lot, but then she whispered in his ear, "For what it's worth, I believe you."

This gave Jayfeather the courage to speak up, "If you vote Tigerstar out, tonight, I know that I'll be dead in the morning. Remember these as my final words when you find out I'm an innocent through and through," Jayfeather took a deep breath, all eyes were on him, "Breezepelt is an Imposter. He killed Bumblestripe, and he will murder me tonight. I don't have any other suspicions, but I know what I saw. You may still not believe me once I'm gone, but I will still root for the innocents," Jayfeather looked every cat in the eye, "Trust no one, and you will survive.

"Players, the time for discussion is over. Get ready to vote."

Tigerstar was gone. Of course, as Jayfeather knew, he was an innocent. Jayfeather couldn't quite think how Tigerstar would give up the chance to win a lot. Maybe the price is too much to pay, this isn't just a game, after all. Jayfeather didn't want to go to bed, but it was time. This would be the last time he would see all these cats filing into their rooms, one by one. Breezepelt would surely kill him, wouldn't he? Well, this is it, Jayfeather thought, I hope it was all worth it.
