Just to let you know, Breezepelt is NOT a girl! He let Heathertail do his makeup, so y'know... deal with it!

Jayfeather didn't want to go to sleep tonight. He wanted to spend time with Briarlight. As he crept into her room, he realised that she wasn't there. Where had she gone? Jayfeather sat on her bed, taking in her sweet scent. And that's when he noticed it. The sharp tang of blood.
POV Change: Anonymous:
I have Briarlight. I didn't want to harm her, but she wouldn't come with me. Me and CC have been plotting to kill Jayfeather next, but I can't let her do it. Thus, why I've taken Briarlight. Jayfeather would surely come looking for her. CC was coming for him, and I have to save him. With Breezepelt gone, she's my only ally- well, apart from BL, but he's an outsider. And I don't like it. She resisted from killing her sister, she didn't want to kill her sister's boyfriend, so I'm glad he's been banished!
I heard footsteps. Jayfeather! I slunk into the shadows, allowing him to untie Briarlight.
POV: Jayfeather
"What happened to you?!" Jayfeather exclaimed, stepping back to allow Briarlight to stand.
"I don't know. I was sleeping, and someone woke me up, but before I could see them, I was blindfolded!" Briarlight didn't seem panicked, although Jayfeather could still feel her heart racing.
"So, you didn't see them?" Jayfeather needed something, so that he wouldn't go into the banishment clueless.
"No."
"Alright," Jayfeather said to her, hiding his disappointment, "How about we go to the bar tonight to take your mind off it?"
"Oh, Jayfeather, I'm so sorry! I'd love too, but I just need sleep right now!" Jayfeather's heart dropped at her words, but he understood. They said goodnight to each other and Briarlight left. Jayfeather began to walk back to his room. Then, another idea struck him. If we wanted proof of something, then why shouldn't he go and look for it? But what Jayfeather didn't know, was that someone was after him, and they wouldn't stop until he was dead.
POV: CC
I had to hunt him down. I had to find him. I couldn't stop until he was dead. I couldn't let him escape. He was just too smart.
POV: Jayfeather
Jayfeather thrust his way behind some curtains, to reveal a small dining area. He hadn't known it was here. It was a smart hiding place, disguised as a window, but a whole room inside. Suddenly, he heard a scraping of steel against steel, and then a patter of footsteps of someone trying to run. Then, a lithe figure appeared in front of him, her freshly sharpened knife glistening in the moonlight filtering through the window. She set her blue eyes on him and lunged. He pushed her off and pinned her to the ground. She struggled for a few seconds, and then burst into tears, "It's too hard! I can't do it!"
Jayfeather loosened his grip, bit still held firm, "Drop the knife," he said blankly, and then watched her throw the weapon across the room. He helped her up.
"I'm so sorry! I can't cope with the pressure of being an imposter!" she looked Jayfeather in the eye.
"Ivypool, I don't know if I can help you!" Jayfeather exclaimed, his heart aching for her.
Just then, Dovewing wandered in, "Is everything okay? I heard crying!"
She glanced at Jayfeather and Ivypool, then at the knife on the floor behind them, "What's going on, guys?"
Ivypool looked up at her, her eyes swollen, "I-I…"
Jayfeather explained everything, and Dovewing sat down next to Ivypool, gazing at her, sympathetically.
"You know when I won the last challenge?" Dovewing glanced at Jayfeather, hopefully, "I won a power!"
Jayfeather immediately brightened up, "What power?"
"I can convert an imposter to an innocent. I think it's for if I feel threatened by an imposter and can't get them out at banishment," Dovewing told them, as Ivypool grew more excited, "Buuuuut…. She'll swap with a random innocent. We won't know who, but it could be you or me, Jayfeather."
"I think I'll cope," Jayfeather said in reply. So, Dovewing did it. She summoned her power, and Ivypool was no longer an imposter.
Once Ivypool had recovered from the magic of the power, Jayfeather asked her, "Who are the imposters? Do you remember?"
"No? Why?"
"Hmm…" Dovewing mused, "Interesting… Her memory of the imposters must have been removed."
"Well," Jayfeather sighed, tired, "I'm going to bed."
As he wandered up to bed, he decided to check if Briarlight was awake. As he wandered into her bedroom, he spotted her sat on herbed, twirling a pen in her hand. He stood at the door, waiting for her to look up.
"Hey," he smiled as she glanced upwards.
"Hi," she sighed.
Jayfeather sat down next to her, and threw his arm around her shoulder, "What's wrong?"
She let out a sob, "I can't deal with this game anymore! So many people dying! So much fear and hate!"
Jayfeather held back an annoyed groan; he had already had to deal with one case of stress and depression! Yet, he tried his best to help Briarlight, "I'll protect you! I'll get us both to the end!"
Jayfeather knew he was a bad liar, but this seemed to comfort Briarlight for now. It was true, he would protect her, but there was no chance they were going to make it out of this dreadful game. Jayfeather moved out the way so Briarlight could lie down, and as he got up to leave, he heard her murmur, "No, don't go!"
So, Jayfeather walked back over and lay beside her. They lay there in silence together for a while, until sleep consumed Jayfeather, and he fell asleep, still holding Briarlight in his arms.
