Threatening Uncle and Keeping the Peace

"Leaving me? Surely you jest, Korra." Unalaq chuckled, but he feels a bit of fear on the inside of his nice is serious about leaving.

"Wish I was and say that I'm just overthinking it, but things has been off for quite a while and that includes you." Korra stated pointed at Unalaq.

"But Korra, I am your uncle and your spiritual mentor who have shown you things you never knew before and we're getting closer to bringing peace for the nation!" Unalaq proclaimed trying to keep Korra on her side.

"See, that's what I'm talking about. You keep saying it's for peace for the Water Tribes and I do sense half of it to be true, but only half of it." Korra stated with a serious look on her face.

"There was also something else that's been bugging me for a while ever since Mako brought it up." Korra mentioned.

"What exactly, if I may ask?" Unalaq asked.

"The story about Tonraq being banish from the Northern Tribe, the part about the bandits going into the spirit forest was very odd to me, sir." Mako said speaking into this conversation.

"If these were just the avenge bandits only taking things and hurting others, then they wouldn't bother themselves with going into the forest in the first place to hide in the snowy landscape or go hide in a mountain." Mako paced himself left and right.

"They were born into the frozen nation, they've probably heard of the tale when they were children." Unalaq stated as it's a once famous story.

"Maybe they did, but they still wouldn't care for something like an old story about a spooky forest and just think it's nothing but bullshit." Mako shrugged.

"Yeah, any bandits would think all that spiritual is crap and all." Korra agreed.

"So, what they still went into the forest and Tonraq made the foolish mistake of flooding the forest that caused the spirits to almost destroy our land." Unalaq pointed out.

"That maybe so, but that still leaves a big question." Mako said as he walks forward a bit.

"If the bandits didn't really care about some dumb forest and could've hide somewhere else, then why go to that forest specifically believing that Korra's dad wouldn't go hunting them in there?" Mako asked the big question.

"It's too unlikely that bandits would even planned to hide in the forest almost like they were expecting Tonraq to make that mistake and get banish." Mako said.

"Unless there was someone else who was there at the time, a third outside party told the bandits about the spirit forest giving them a false hope that they would be safe there but also planned for Tonraq to make a big decision of flooding the forest knowing that would cause the spirits to go on a rampage that would put the blame on Tonraq which would act on his banishment." Mako stated of what he can think of this mystery.

"Not only that… but that very same person would have hired the very bandits to attack Agna Qel'a in order to lure Tonraq into his scheme." Mako added.

"Now hold on, you're saying the whole barbarian bandit attack was planned on purpose?" Unalaq asked, still trying to act oblivious of this though feeling a bit of fear.

"Exactly, and the only way a person like that were to pull that off…" Mako paused looking at Korra.

"Is if that person was very close to my father, knowing how he act and do in that situation, using that to make himself the Northern Tribe leader without issue. His own brother and my uncle." Korra glared.

Unalaq suddenly felt his heart skipped two beats from the revelation of not only being found out about his secret plan of what he had done to his older brother by this boy with powerful Ki level, but now it would appear that even his own niece have already suspected him as well.

"(Damn it, how could they have found me out so quickly?)" Unalaq thought feared as he clutches onto the arm of his chair.

Unalaq feared that all the careful planning and manipulating for that one fateful day to happen so that everything will be as he had hope, but now it looks like that is coming down hard.

"(I need to keep Korra on my side or else I will never get what I seek.)" Unalaq thought determined to make his plan a success no matter what.

If Mako and Korra were able to figure out about the attack plan from all those years ago then they could also figure out about the other special plan, he cannot let that happen and will need to find a way to get rid of Mako too.

"Korra, Mako, you can't honestly believe that I would have anything to do with banishing my own brother." Unalaq proclaimed.

"Well, you two don't seem to have exactly the best relationship as brothers." Mako crossed his arms.

"Because my brother refuses to acknowledge the ancient ways that our ancestors left behind for us to learn and to coexist with spirits, he found my ways to be "boring" as he once said." Unalaq explained about their past a bit.

"But you know better than anyone that my dad is a kind man always caring for others." Korra said.

"Your father was a good general to protect our people, but he was arrogant to ignore what is sacred like destroying the spirit forest." Unalaq stated.

"The spirit forest you planned to have it destroyed as the perfect cover for your crimes and take the throne." Mako believed.

"Oh, is that right? Do you even have any proof of my so called "scheme" of all those claims?" Unalaq asked, knowing that these kids couldn't have gotten any information about the incident.

"You're right, I guess we don't have any proof… yet." Korra grinned.

"I'm sure a high and respectful person such as yourself would have some fewer sworn allies about your dark secret, and I'm sure you must've told "Him" everything about that too." Mako smirked.

"Him? Who is it you're talking about?" Unalaq asked, feeling a bit nervous now.

"Oh, thanks for reminding that I need to make a stop to see a man named Hotah, the jurist of the Water Tribe." Mako said causing Unalaq to gasp on the inside and his grip tighten.

"This is ridiculous, I'm telling you that I was not responsible for having Tonraq banish. He brought that upon himself." Unalaq feared of losing this little battle.

"Then I guess we're done here, are we?" Korra asked her boyfriend.

"Yeah, we'll be leaving for Republic City first thing in the morning." Mako nodded as he turns around.

"W-Wait, you're going to leave so soon! But we haven't finished your training, and we still need to open the spirit portal in the North Pole." Unalaq stated, fearing this is happening.

"Well, we're not going to do any spirit portal opening until you fess up the truth about that day or else we leave." Korra walked away.

"Oh, and I'm also going to be closing the South Pole spirit portal for good measure if you still won't talk." Korra mentioned as he and Mako are about to fly away.

"Wait, I confess!" Unalaq called out getting them to stop.

"Yes, I was the one who hired the barbarians and had them hide in the spirit forest for the purpose of making myself the leader of the Northern Water Tribe." Unalaq confessed.

"And now the truth comes out." Mako said.

"You couldn't stand the thought of my father being the leader because he doesn't know much about the spirits as much as you do." Korra guessed.

"Yes, I feared that Tonraq would lead our people down the wrong path without knowing how much the spirits means to the world." Unalaq nodded.

Korra blitzes toward her Unalaq grabbing him by the neck and pinning him against the wall.

"…Tomorrow morning, I'm bringing my father here and you're going to confess everything you just said to us, and you will have your Northern troops leave the south. Do I make myself clear?" Korra asked.

"Yes, yes, I promise to tell him everything!" Unalaq nodded rapidly.

"Good." Korra dropped him on the throne.

"Oh, and to make sure you don't go back on your word." Korra looked at Mako giving him a nod.

Mako nodd2ed back before flying off towards the dock with the giant ice wall.

"What is he doing?" Unalaq asked.

"Help cleaning out the ice." Korra hinted.

Mako flew over to the dock and seeing the giant ice wall as some people look up seeing the boy as he positions himself right above the ice wall.

Mako raises one fist causing it to glow of the green energy aura for a moment and then he dives at blinding speed appearing right on top of the ice wall and punched it, one second later and the entire ice wall started to crumble into little pieces and falling into the water much to the shock of the Northern Water Tribe. Even the Southern Water Tribe people are shocked too.

"Considered this a message from Avatar Korra, no one is to engage each other in any way that may look like a war or else she'll be fighting both sides at once to force you all to submit." Mako announced.

"Until a peaceful matter can be brought fourth, please just try to endure each other." Mako added before flying away, leaving the people and soldiers to think about this.

"I hope that won't be an issue, right Uncle Unalaq?" Korra asked smirking.

"If it means to keep you here and open the spirit portal then I will allow it." Unalaq sighed.

"Great, see you tomorrow!" Korra smiled before flying off.

Unalaq watch Korra leaves as he clutches his fist feeling his anger raising from within that his own niece is making this more complicated than it already are.

"It would seem you have forced my hand, Korra." Unalaq glared as he turns around.

"So, we're going to have another family meeting tomorrow. Let's just hope my dad will be willing to go see Tonraq again." Korra hoped as she flew next to Mako.

"I believe your dad will hear him out, is what he'll do after is that worries me." Mako said.

"Come on, my dad is more reasonable than that." Korra pointed out.

"Now we can just hope that both Tribes will try to get along before anything else can happen." Korra concerned.

"Hey! Who threw that?" One man shouted.

Korra and Mako looks down seeing a few Northern Tribe soldiers looking angry at a few Southern Tribe men as it looks like a fight is about to break out.

"What? You got a problem with a little snowball?" One Southern Man mocked.

"How about a big one for each of you." Korra used her Waterbending to make the snow from some buildings flew off and smash right onto the men.

"I believe my boyfriend told you that both sides are not to fight each other until this issue is resolve." Korra reminded them as she flew down.

"But Avatar Korra, they have no right to enter our home and do as they please like they own our lives." One Southern Tribe man complained.

"We are here to unite our nations as one, you're the fools who doesn't understand a damn thing!" One Northern Tribe soldier stated.

"And I don't give a damn!" Korra yelled as she trap the two men in water and pulls them each other so hard that they headbutted with little blood coming out from the impact.

"Like Mako said, if you guys are going to fight then I'll fight against both sides if that is what it makes." Korra stated strongly.

"Besides, do you men really want to poison the children with all this hatred?" Mako asked causing the men to feel conflicted of question.

"He is right." Tonraq said walking up to them.

"Dad! We were just about to come see you." Korra surprised.

"I heard some commotion going on about a boy destroying an entire ice wall with a single punch." Tonraq explained.

"But the boy does have point. You men are behaving worse then children, do you really want to act like that when they look up to see and expect to act better?" Tonraq asked the two men.

They scoff and look away from each other, but they knew better that Tonraq is right as this isn't the way for children to behave like this since they're supposed to set the better example.

Korra can see these guys have learned their lessons and let them go as they just walk away from the area.

"So, how did talking to my brother go?" Tonraq asked.

"Well, we found out something though not sure if you're going to like it." Korra informed.

"I probably won't, but I will listen." Tonraq said.

"Good, but let's make it short because Mako and I have dinner plans tonight." Korra said as they walk together.

Mako follows them until he felt a pull from his clothes and look down seeing a little girl looking up at him.

"That punch you did was so cool! I also want to say thank you for breaking the ice wall so that my dad can go out fishing." The little girl thanked.

"You're welcome." Mako smiled before walking away as the little girl waved goodbye at him.

(With Tenzin, Bumi, and Kaya)

"Ikki! Ikki! Ikki? Ikki, where are you?" Tenzin called out as he is looking through area he and his siblings are looking to find his youngest daughter, but no luck.

"Over here, Dad!" An odd girl voice responded as Tenzin turn his head towards some bushes and Bumi pops out.

"Just kidding. It's me!" Bumi laughed. Tenzin looks annoyed of his older brother's games.

"There's no sign of her anywhere." Kaya reported from her search.

"Why would Ikki run off like this? Ah, it's probably my fault." Tenzin blamed himself.

"Probably." Kaya said crossing her arms.

"Excuse me?" Tenzin confused of the tone.

"I'm guessing you've been so busy with your "duty" to Republic City that you forgot about your duty to your kids." Kaya pointed out.

"Duty!" Bumi laughed knowing how that word works in another way.

"What are you, five years old?" Kaya asked her idiot older brother.

"Kya, you're right. I haven't been spending enough time with them. I wish I could be as good a father as Dad was to us." Tenzin admitted, but that seems to upset Kaya.

"Tenzin, your problem is you're exactly like Dad. He was so focused on saving the world and doing his duty, don't laugh." Kaya said to Bumi making him upset. "That he never had time for us." She stated.

"Dad was under a lot of pressure. He was the Avatar before Korra." Tenzin pointed out.

"He always had time for you, though, his precious little airbender." Bumi pinched Tenzin's cheek causing him to flinch.

"Dad loved us all equally. Besides, it all happened a long time ago. Why are we even talking about this?" Tenzin wondered why they are making a big deal about this.

"Because you seem to have some grandiose delusion that we had a perfect, happy-go-lucky childhood. Guess what. We didn't!" Kaya revealed to her little brother.

"We need to keep moving if we want to find Ikki before dark." Tenzin walked away as he does not want to continue this talk anymore.

"See what he's doing there, Bumi? Classic airbender technique. Cutting and running when things get tough!" Kaya mocked making Tenzin upset.

"Yeah. Did Dad teach you that move?" Bumi yelled laughing.

(With Mako and Korra)

"Well, dad certainly took the news well." Korra said as she and Mako walked out of the small home.

"Yeah, nothing like screaming in rage says that he's calm about it." Mako said sarcastically.

"Now we just got to make sure your dad keeps a cool head at the meeting tomorrow." Mako said.

"But for now, let just focus on our dinner date with Asami." Mako reminded her, but then he gasps a bit.

"What's wrong?" Korra asked.

"I just remembered that Eska is coming to join us for dinner, and she wants to come to her room right after that." Mako revealed shocking Korra.
