A/N This is some random lore I wrote up for my OC, Stella! Just a quick description so y'all don't get confuzzled, Stella is a star nightlight toon and has a charger as a tail.

I hadn't meant for it to end up like this. I really didn't.

Today Brie and I were doing arts and crafts with the kids. Usually, Goob and Scraps handled it, but they were busy. Probably on a run or something. Brie was showing how to make origami cranes. She was always the craftier of us two, often working on art projects.

"Jason! We do not eat paper!" I scolded, prying the paper out of his grubby little hands, away from his mouth. I sighed. It was hopeless to try and teach a class full of kindergarteners how to do origami. I leaned over to Brie, whispering in her ear.

"I think this might be too hard for some of the younger kids. Should we set up finger painting too?" Brie nodded, already preoccupied with helping another kid. I sidled over to the craft supplies, making sure to keep an eye on the kids. I grabbed the colorful jars of paint off the shelf. I spread a tablecloth over one of the nearby tables. Once I had set up the paints, I took two fingers to my mouth and whistled. All the kids turned to look at me, dropping their paper crafts.

"I see that some of our younger friends are struggling with this craft. Is there anybody that would like to paint instead?" I watched as a sea of small hands went up, excited clamoring filling the air. I distributed aprons to the small kids, all of them rushing to get to the finger paint. I smiled. The kids were all so energetic. Seeing their happy faces could help me forget how much of a nightmare this place really was. I watched as two little kids started smearing finger paint all over each other. As I went to break them up, I saw Brightney's warm glow from across the hall.

"Stella!" She exclaimed, rushing over to me. I held up a finger, signaling her to wait a second. Ignoring the warning, Brightney skidded to a halt beside me. "I just came back from a run with Goob and Scraps!" As she chattered excitedly, I peered down the long hallway. I sighed in relief seeing the siblings heading towards the craft room. They could probably take over from here. I wasn't much of a crafty person.

Suddenly the lights flickered off. A cacophony of screams arose, all the children shrieking or crying. Brightney and I both provided a soft glow, causing the children to flood around us. Scraps and Goob hurried in from the hallway. With all the children yelling and screaming, the room was so noisy I couldn't hear myself think. I had always been one of the more noise sensitive toons. My handler said that my hearing system was broken, although I preferred to just say I had acute hearing. I covered my ears, doing everything I could to not shut down.

"BRIE!" I called, seeing her trying to herd everyone towards the group. She had found the flashlights. Every room was equipped with them in case of an emergency. The building power was unreliable, going out often. A warning flashed at the edge of my vision, telling me that I was overheating. "I'm going to go look for the backup generator, Ok?" Brie nodded, turning back to the children she was trying to calm down. She was one of the few toons that knew I couldn't handle much noise. I hurried out of the room and down the hallway. Once I was out of the room, I bound down the hallway rushing towards the generator room. It wasn't the lights I was worried about, so much as the temperature. When the power went out like this, the heat often went with it. The toons could all handle a low temperature, but I wasn't so sure about the kids.
