While Linda, Tulio and Blu arrived in Rio, Red, Chuck and Bomb were on the beach relaxing.

Red: "This is the life. Just us, the beach and those ice cold drinks."

Chuck: "You said it."

Bomb: "I couldn't agree more."

After they cheered and finished their ice drinks, the trio hears music and sees a group of dancing masked humans.

Red: "Whoa! What's going on here?"

Chuck: "I read about this. Brazilians do it for the Carnival."

Red: "Carnival?"

Chuck: "Yes. It's the biggest party in the world. You know, a time to have fun and dance." After he said that he started imitating rhythmic drumming.

Red: "Cool. When does the Carnival begin?"

Chuck: "Tommorow night and there will be a parade."

Bomb: "We should go and see it."

Red: "Hey guys, look at this. A yellow car that has a bird symbol."

Bomb: "Let's talk with the drivers."

Red: "OK"

Red, Chuck and Bomb came to Linda and Tulio as they introduced themselves and started negotiating. Blu was looking at them until he got distracted by a canary and a red-crested cardinal.

Nico: " Oba, la, la, la, ya E, e, ei! E ai? Tudo bom?"

As duo came closer, Blu picked a translation book and said: "Oh. Um, oh, right. Uh, yeah. Aah! Uh..." But he accidentally dropped it so he said nervously: "I am not from here."

The red-crested cardinal named Pedro answered: "Hey, Nico. He's a tourist."

Nico: "Funny, you look like a Brazilian."

Blu: "Really? I do?"

Pedro: "Except you got pigeon poo-poo on your nose."

Blu wiped out the sun cream from his beak as he explained: "Oh, oh, oh, no, this is just SPF 3,000."

Nico: "So are you here for Carnival?"

Blu: "Oh, actually, I'm just here to meet a... a girl."

Nico: "Oh, a girl!"

Pedro: "Oh yeah"

Nico: "Little word of advice: you make the first move. Brazilian ladies love confidence."

Blu: "I see."

Pedro: "Yeah, it's all about swagger. You got to puff out that chest." He puffed out his chest as he was flying around: "Mmm! Swing that tail." He swung his tail and turned around as he made a swishing noise and narrowed eyes as he continued: "Eyes narrow, like some kind of crazy love hawk." And he finished his sentence with a squawk.

Blu: "Thanks for the advices but aren't you curious about those birds next to me?"

Pedro: "We know who they are. They're Red, Chuck and Bomb. They're anthro birds and Heroes of Bird Island."

Blu: "Bird Island?"

Nico: "It's a place filled with anthro birds."

Blu: "You met them before?"

Pedro: "No. But we met friends of theirs. They told us everything about them."

Nico: "Anyway, let's bust you out."

Blu: "What?"

Pedro: "Yeah! I'm-a pop that cage open like a soda can."

Pedro tried desperately to break the metal bars on the cage but it didn't worked.

Blu: "No, no, no. Whoa! No, no, no, that's okay. Whoa, whoa, whoa!"

Nico: "You call that popping?"

Pedro: "Whew. This thing's robust."

Blu: "No, no, no. No, guys., really. I'm fine. This cage is great. I love this cage."

Pedro: "Ta bom. Suit yourself. Hey, don't forget- love hawk." He squawked and then flew away with Nico shouting: "Bemvindo!"

Blu: "Yes. Yes, bem..." He struggled to say it so he said instead: "And to you, as well." After the duo left, Red, Chuck and Bomb came to Blu.

Red: "Hi, Blu was it? I'm Red and these are my friends Chuck and Bomb."

Chuck: "We talked with your friends, Linda and Tulio and we all decided to join you in this project as your bodyguards."

Bomb: "After your blind date ends, we can go to the Carnival together. What do you say?"

Blu: "Sounds good to me."

Red: "Great. Now let's get to know each other."

After Red, Chuck and Bomb got on Tulio's jeep. They were talking with Blu until they reached the aviary.

After they entered the aviary, Tulio said: "This is the heart and soul of our aviary - our treatment room."

Tulio was imitating birdcalls as birds were landing on his hands.

Linda: "They really like you. Oh!" When she saw more birds coming and landing on Tulio she chuckled saying: "A lot."

Tulio: "Yes. I'm their great, big mama bird." He took a bag of seeds and put some in his mouth as one of the birds was eating the seeds.

Blu: "Ew"

Red: "Gross"

Linda chuckled as she said: "Wow"

Tulio said with full mouth as he offered the seeds in his mouth: "Want some?"

Linda: "Ah! Oh, no. I'm good."

Tulio: "Many of the birds here were rescued from smugglers."

Linda: "Smugglers?"

Tulio: "Yes. And, unfortunately, the poor birds are often hurt or even killed in the process. But with proper care, they can be saved. Look here." Linda and Tulio took a look at a cockatoo: "This poor guy was found last night."

The cockatoo made a weak squawking with a weak smile as he was shivering.

Tulio: "Hey, buddy. You're looking great today. Much better. Much better."

Blu: "Get well soon."

The cockatoo growled as he made an evil face which surprised Blu, Red, Chuck and Bomb and it also made Red think: "What's his problem?"

Linda: "So, where's Jewel?"

Tulio: "Oh, we have a special place for Jewel. She's a very spirited bird."

An Aviary Intern groaned as he turned showing his face is covered in scratches and bruises answering: "I'll say."

Blu asked shocked: "She did that? Oh, charming. I want to go home now."

Bomb: "Don't worry. We'll protect you."

Tulio: "Don't worry Blu. I'm going to make you look irresistible."

The four birds entered the room as Blu got a new hairstyle after the door closed, Blu was hitting the door shouting: "Help! Help! Let me out of here!"

Bomb: "Wait"

Blu stopped and Bomb fixed his head feathers back to normal.

Linda watched Blu and the other birds on the monitor with Tulio and got concerened: "Maybe I should..."

Tulio stopped her and said: "No, no. Give it a chance." Then he pressed a switch and the lights turned on.

The four birds started walking in the room.

Blu: "Hello?"

Red: "Hello?"

Chuck: "We come in peace."

The four birds gasped as they saw her: "Whoa."

Blu was mesmerized as she flew towards him, thinking: "She's beautiful." As he continued to look at her, he thought: "Whatwere they talking about? She's... she's like an angel. An angel who's getting really close... Aah!"

Suddenly Jewel crashed into Blu as she has pinned him down saying in Portuguese: "Quem é você? Quê que você está fazendo aqui?" (Translation: "Who are you? What are you doing here?")

Blu tried to speak but he couldn't with Jewel's foot holding his throat.

Jewel:"Quê?"

Chuck came closer and said: "Let go of his throat."

Jewel got off of Blu and Red and Bomb came to him.

Blu: "Thank you Chuck."

Jewel: "Oh, you're Americans."

Red: "Just him. We three are from an Island you don't know."

Jewel looked at Blu and said: " You look like me."

Bomb: "Because you're the same species, duh."

Blu cleared his throat and said: "Their names are Red, Chuck and Bomb and my name is Blu." After the introduction, Jewel looked around.

Bomb: "Why is she looking around?"

Red: "She doesn't have roommate, right?"

Jewel: "Come on. We don't have much time."

Blu chuckled nervously before Jewel dragged him quickly as Red, Chuck and Bomb were following them.

Blu: "Whoa! Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait." Then Blu crushed into a branch without Jewel noticing and after Red, Chuck and Bomb reached him, they helped him get up. They climbed on a tree when they reached a big branch, Jewel showed herself asking: "Are you ready?"

Blu: "For what? Oh, oh, wow. Uh, okay."

Red: "You don't know what she's talking about."

Bomb: "Do you?"

Blu: "I got this. Confidence." He took a deep breath and said: "Crazy love hawk."

Chuck: "Go get her tiger."

Jewel: "All right." She turned around to see Blu trying to kiss her but she backed off confused as his head landed on her chest.

Jewel: "Whoa. Hey." She pushes him away asking: "What are you doing?"

Blu: "What? What... what you wanted me to. But, just for argument's sake, uh, what are... what are you doing?"

Jewel: "I'm trying to escape." And after she said than she revealed a damaged air conditioning vent.

Blu: "Oh. Uh, yeah, escape. That-that's where I was going with that thing I just did."

Jewel: "Wait. W-w-w-wait. Did you really thought we were going to kiss?"

Blu: "No. No-no-no-no. It's not what you think."

Jewel: "We just met!"

On the monitor, Linda and Tulio saw Blu and Jewel arguing.

Linda: "Oh, my."

Tulio: "I think they need a little help."

Blu: "I mean, I know how my feathers look, but I'm not that kind of bird." Just then a disco ball came down, the lights got dimmed and Lionel Richie's "Say you, Say me" starts playing.

Red said with annoyed expression: "Seriously"

Blu: "Okay, I had nothing to do with that. But, huh, you have to admit it's actually a pretty good song." Jewel was looking at him confused as he starts singing to the music

Blu: "Yeah, sing it, Lionel."

Linda watches on the monitor as Blu and Jewel struggle, thinking they're mating: "Wow. That was fast."

Tulio: "Lionel Richie, works every time. We should probably give them privacy."

After they exited the room Linda said: "I'm not sure I should leave Blu here alone."

Tulio: "Oh, no, no, no. Don't worry. Sylvio will keep an eye on them all night."

Linda saw a big and strong brazilian security guard who demonstrated his skills by killing a fly with pencil.

As Linda watched him stunned and Tulio said: "Besides, he's got Jewel and the other birds."

Meanwhile in the watching room, on the monitors, Jewel tried to attack Blu but Red was getting in her way.

Jewel: "Let me have him."

Red: "Over my dead body."

Chuck saw one of the cameras and gasped in shock as he said offended: "Shame on you." And then he disconnected the camera.

On the radio a male voice talk as carnival music is heard: "Boa noite, Rio! This is the final countdown to Carnaval! Let's samba."

Sylvio was huming the song as he ripped his uniform revealing a carnival suit under it: "Whoo!" "Ah!" Then he heard a sound from another room: "Huh?"

He entered the room with his flashlight on and saw the cockatoo scared next to a broken bottle.

Sylvio: "Aw." He picked up the cockatoo slowly and said: "Come here, poor little birdie. Aw, It's okay. I got you. I got you."

But it turned out that the cockatoo wasn't scared or sick but he was just pretending so he can chloroform the guard. As Sylvio fell unconscious, the cockatoo landed on him with as he said: "Correction. I got you." Then he flew to the door with the keys and opened the door as a strange human entered.

Meanwhile in the artificial jungle Jewel was hitting the air vent which was disturbing the other birds who were sleeping. Bomb groaned as he said: "Excuse me, can you pipe down? We are trying to sleep."

Jewel replied sarcastically: "Oh, I'm sorry, sleepyheads but I want to escape." And then she tried to get through the air vent as she was grunting.

Blu: "Escape? Why? The cage is awesome."

Jewel: "The cage..." She laughed and then continued: "Oh, what was I thinking? I wouldn't expect a pet to understand."

Blu: "Pet? Did you just call me a pet? For the record, I am not a pet. I am a companion. And you know what? Do whatever you want, because tomorrow, Linda will pick me up and this whole nightmare will be over."

Jewel: "Incredible. You would rather be with a-a-a human than your own kind."

Blu: "Well, that human has given me love and affection for the 15 years, and my own kind tried to strangle me after 15 seconds!"

Jewel: "Yeah, well, because of humans, I lost everything. You can't trust them."

Then Jewel saw an opened door which made her gasp in joy as she flew to it.

Red: "What do you mean 'lost everything'?"

Blu: "Jewel?"

Bomb: "Jewel?"

Chuck: "Where are you?"

The four birds see a human hovering over them.

Blu: "Oh. Hi, there."

The human puts a bag over Blu, Red, Chuck and Bomb revealing that he's here to kidnap them.
