That evening at Hwan's house, he was in his room beating up a punching bag that hung from the ceiling in the corner of the room.
"Alright, I think you need to talk now before you go breaking that bag," said a man who walked into the room and leaned against a wall.
"Sorry dad, I just had a lot of anger I needed to take out and I didn't want to risk blowing my top on you or mom when I came home today," said Hwan while removing his gloves which he tossed onto his desk.
"This about what happened at school today?" asked his dad.
"Chul hasn't done anything to deserve this, and yet some jerk and a racist principal came so close to ruining his life over nothing more than the fact that he's a vampire," said Hwan.
"'And yet he didn't do anything to get back at the jerk," said his dad.
"That's because Chul wants to see the best in everyone, he only agreed to sue the principal because the man shouldn't be allowed around children," said Hwan.
"It's his biggest flaw," he said.
"A flaw that changed your life for the better," said his dad.
"Three years ago I was bashing skulls in with the gang and I wanted to be that guy again so much today when I heard what happened," said Hwan.
"But you won't, because Chul made you see that there are better things out there," said his dad.
"Wish we had become friends sooner," said Hwan. Meanwhile, at the Jung household.
"Thanks for ordering from my favorite restaurant for dinner," said Chul.
"You deserve something good after today," said Baek Ma Ri as she cleared the table. The doorbell then rang.
"I'll get it," said Chul as he stood. Once he opened the door however, Chul was surprised by who he saw.
"Can we talk?" asked Kim who stood there looking like a beat puppy.
