Summary: A boy who was meant to walk the path of light was forced to live in darkness until his death. He became so accustomed to it that even after he woke up in a new world full of supernatural wonders, he did the only thing he knew – going his way without wavering from it, even when that meant becoming the darkness to balance things out.

What could he have done differently? He didn't know. What was his purpose if he was destined to fail? Naruto Uzumaki lay in a pool of his own blood. He coughs up blood, seeing stars in his vision. He couldn't move his body. No matter what he tried, his body was numb.

Blood was streaming out of numerous wounds he received in his fight for survival. Why did it have to be that way? His entire life was nothing more than a shitshow. From the moment he was born, he was cursed to be a villain in everyone's eyes. Being the vessel of the Kyūbi was something he despised from the moment he could think; he wasn't welcomed in the orphanage. He was supposed to be raised as a normal kid, but store owners always shunned him, he got scolded for things others did, and he was allowed to see how parents pulled their kids away, saying, "You aren't allowed to have contact with this child anymore."

He was forced to live alone from the age of five since the bastards of the orphanage kicked him out on his fifth birthday. He got money from the Hokage every month for living expenses. How was a five-year-old child supposed to know how to manage money? Not only that, but everywhere he went, he was overcharged. Instead of the normal price, he had to pay twice the amount to get what he wanted.

Naruto had a tiny bit of hope when he entered the Konohagakure Shinobi Academy. "It will be different there!" said Naruto to himself. But as always, his life was nothing but a joke. From the first time he entered the academy, he was bullied by the other kids, and the teachers did nothing to stop them. They even gave the students enough opportunities to bully Naruto.

He hated his life during his childhood. He wanted nothing more than to escape from this cursed village. Everyone hated him, and he hated them back with more hatred in his heart with every passing day.

When he was eight years old, he could not take it anymore and was about to commit suicide, when out of nowhere, an old man with a cane walked up to him in the forest where Naruto planned to hang himself.

He made Naruto an offer to become a strong Shinobi so he could defend himself in the future. Since Naruto had nothing else to do, he agreed. This old man was the first one to look at him with a neutral expression, even when he was rough.

He was the first one to really show him something besides hatred, isolation, and every other negative thing he had to deal with on a daily basis. He gave him a home, even when it was inside an organization the old man founded decades ago.

Naruto began training with the old man and various instructors on multiple topics. The old man was also the one who explained to him why the village hated him. It was the old man with the cane and the bandages around his head who told him the truth.

He was grateful and finally felt like he belonged somewhere. From all the negative experiences he had in his life up to this point, he knew the old man wanted something from him, but he didn't care. He may not have found real friends in the foundation, but no one looked at him with those hateful glares; no one isolated him or bullied him. They simply called him Naruto. Even when training was literal hell, where he couldn't move a muscle after they were done with him at the end of the day, Naruto still managed to see the results of the intense training he had undergone.

He never went back to the academy or the village at all. His daily life was filled with training, studying various topics related to shinobi arts, eating, and sleeping. He did this for four years before he got his first mission for the old man he served. That was the day he began his life as a full-fledged member of the foundation.

Four years passed almost in an instant, going from mission to mission or training in between. He did nothing else. Everything he did was for his survival. He had a 100% success rate on any mission he took.

He made a name for himself in the vast Shinobi world as"Kuro Senkō" (Black Flash)due to his exceptional speed, thanks to his own creation. Naruto wasn't trained to be a normal Shinobi like most members of the Shinobi Corps. He was trained to specialize in infiltration, assassination, spying, and other techniques that enabled him to track down and kill an opponent without being noticed. He didn't master his element, even when he knew he had the wind element. Everything was designed around assassination or infiltration. Not a big, flashy jutsu or something similar.

Naruto knew the old man only spoke to him because Naruto was the Jinchūriki of theKyūbi (Nine-Tails).He was a weapon of mass destruction if he had utilized the Kyūbi's chakra. This was one of the many things he learned during his time at the foundation. Controlling the Kyūbi's chakra wasn't easy. But in the end, he mastered it. Even when the Kyūbi itself still rebelled against it. Naruto had full control over the chakra he extracted from the Kyūbi over time.

He didn't have much, but he was content with the way his life went. He never expected anything and never wanted much. As long as he could survive, he was okay with everything. However, there was one incident where the man he served, Danzō Shimura, betrayed him after Naruto killed a man named Orochimaru, which occurred in a specific incident. He later found out that Danzō had some kind of partnership with Orochimaru. Naruto didn't know why, but Danzō decided that Naruto had done enough. He didn't kill him; no, he framed him and sent him to the Hōzuki Castle, also known as the Blood Prison, which was a large castle that was controlled by Kusagakure and served as a criminal containment facility.

Prisoners at Hōzuki Castle were intended to remain there until they died, or the hidden village that sent them there officially requested their release. There were several death traps scattered throughout the fortress to prevent escape, and the castle was situated on a cliff surrounded by whirlpools that would drown anyone attempting to swim away. The actual security within the prison was apparently inadequate. Despite all prisoners being subjected to strip and body cavity searches, Naruto managed to bring in some weapons he would use for his escape.

Because most of the prison's population were shinobi or other individuals who could use chakra, neutralizing them is very important and is the chief responsibility of Hōzuki Castle's master. Mui usedKaton: Tenrō (Fire Release: Heavenly Prison)to seal prisoners' abilities and reduce their bodies to ash if they moved too far away from him.

Prisoners were let out from morning to sunset for daily exercise and meals, and at the end of the day, they were instructed to return to their cells for sleep. The prison also had a system of guards, who seemed to function more like orderlies, escorting prisoners around the prison, searching them, and ensuring they were all in their cells at night. With Mui's jutsu sealing the prisoner's chakra, the guards rarely ran into trouble. They did carry nightsticks and used dogs to track and attack prisoners attempting to escape. It also contained a loudspeaker system for making announcements to prisoners, as well as searchlights and sirens that were activated during attempted escapes.

Regulation 23 stated that any attempt to escape from the prison or to cause trouble would result in three days of solitary confinement in the disciplinary cell. Clause 6 states that second-time offenders received a five-day penalty, a third-time offense resulted in a one-week penalty, and a fourth-time offense resulted in a permanent penalty.

Naruto had been in this hellhole for one year before he managed to form a plan to kill Mui and later escape. After Danzō betrayed him, he realized he could no longer trust anyone. He didn't trust Danzō at first, but over time, he began to trust the one person who had taken him in and shown him how to survive. Now, in retrospect, he was naïve and foolish to think that someone like Danzō, who had used him as a weapon and tool for missions, cared for him at all.

After he managed to kill Mui and escape from the Hōzuki Castle, he got into trouble. An organization named Akatsuki was hunting him because they thought Naruto still had the damn beast inside his body. Danzō extracted the Kyūbi as far as he knew before passing him on to Hōzuki Castle. However, even after he told this organization, they wouldn't believe him and hunted him down for days. He had been fleeing from them for four days and nights without any rest.

In the end, he lost the hunt and needed to fight in his poor condition. He hated himself for letting himself be caught by them. This was the situation he now found himself in. The biggest joke was that after they wounded him beyond repair without medical help, they realized he told the truth, and he didn't have the Kyūbi inside himself.

They left… all the bastards and bitches in the organization named Akatsuki. They left him to die after they fought him four against one, using their overpowered abilities, especially the man with the peculiar purple eyes who could seemingly control gravity itself.

'So pathetic,' thought Naruto. 'I had let all those villagers treat me like garbage and never did anything against it… I let myself be fooled by this bastard Danzō… I was a fool my entire life…'

He could slowly feel life leaving his body, seeing nothing more than darkness before him. 'So pathetic…' His eyes slowly closed, and his body came to a standstill.

'I was pathetic…'

"Huh?" Naruto didn't know where he was. He was floating in some kind of void where he saw nothing but darkness. He didn't feel anything, he couldn't move his body, and he couldn't even speak. Only his eyes took in information for his brain to process.

He tried to see anything, but there was literally nothing to see. He felt the passage of time, indicating that he had an awareness of it. That meant he wasn't dead, or at least he thought so. How could a deceased person be aware of time?

He could also think, meaning his brain was functioning sufficiently to allow him to perceive information with his eyes and think. There were actually two states of death. The first state of death was when the heart stopped working. However, a person was never completely dead without the possibility of being revived by an external source, such as reanimating the heart. As long as the brain was still functioning and the heart was in good shape without damage, the person could be revived without aftereffects. However, this could only be done in a short time. The remaining oxygen in the blood that flowed toward the brain would eventually run out, and the brain would suffer damage until the brain would stop working entirely, letting the person completely die, also known as the second stage.

"Naruto Uzumaki," said a voice so deep that it was unmistakably not human. No human could have such a deep, menacing, overwhelming, breathtaking, powerful voice. Naruto suddenly felt his entire body as he found himself falling and crashing into the ground.

"Argh!" Naruto grunted in pain as he lay face-first on the hard ground. But the pain made place for something he experienced only once in his life: the fear of something far beyond his imagination. It was just like the first time when he met the Kyūbi. His entire body trembled and shook. His brain was trying to function normally, but it was almost overwhelmed by this overwhelming presence. Naruto's brain simply wanted to shut down; that would be better than feeling this omnipotent being.

But Naruto was never someone who would give in to something so easily. It took the village eight years to drive him to the edge before he was willing to commit suicide. Naruto bit his tongue, allowing the pain to flow into his brain so he could regain control over his emotions and feelings.

His willpower was something he honed through all the years working under Danzō. He struggled, but he managed to get on one knee, supporting himself on the other while looking upwards. He saw it… the being who spoke his name.

This wasn't something from the mortal world; there was no way something like this existed in the Elemental Nations. Even the Bijū (Tailed Beasts) were little fairies to the thing he saw hovering in the air, looking down at him with its pitch-black eyes.

"Do you regret your life?" The omnipotent being asked the tiny human on the ground. Before this being, Naruto was just a little ant.

"Of course!" Naruto said this without hesitation, even though he had trouble maintaining his kneeling position. "I did nothing and let them use me, run over me, and ridicule me without doing anything against it! I never showed resistance when it was crucial! I was pathetic in my life."

The omnipotent being said nothing and only raised the green lantern it was holding. A green mist began to spread from the lantern, obscuring Naruto's vision. Naruto had to hold both hands before his eyes when he couldn't see anything anymore. But before the green mist could completely take him, an arm suddenly grabbed Naruto's shoulder and dragged him backward, away from the green mist that was about to imprison him.

Naruto's world turned black when he saw how a green light drove the green mist back and even threatened the omnipotent being who was about to take Naruto's soul. Naruto's eyes closed when he felt a warm feeling spread through his body.

"NAH!" Naruto's body shot up into a sitting position. His entire body was trembling, his heart was beating in his ears, his breathing was too fast for a normal human, and his vision was unfocused until he realized he was breathing and felt something in general.

He grabbed his wrist with his hand, gritting his teeth as he struggled to regain control of his body. His vision became focused when he realized that he was sitting on a bed with a blanket covering his body up to his stomach. He looked around and could see a curtain drawn around the bed he was sitting on. Everything was reminding him of a hospital room. He looked down at himself, not really believing that all this was real. He was sure he had died after the battle with those Akatsuki fellas.

He could see that he wasn't wearing anything on his upper body. He was currently only wearing his underwear. 'What happened to me? Did someone actually save me from death?' thought Naruto. The memories rushed into his brain from the experience he had after he died.

He flinched when he remembered this feeling of helplessness. He was sure he had experienced all that and that he really had died. He thought about it a little more, but it didn't make sense until he remembered the hand that had dragged him away from this omnipotent being. He looked at his shoulder where the hand was at the moment in his memories.

'Who was it that dragged me away?' thought Naruto. 'Is that also the being who revived me from the dead?' He died; that was a fact, but the question remained: why was he alive again? The only possible explanation was that someone revived him from the dead.

His eyes darted to the side when he heard someone coming toward the curtains. He narrowed his eyes and wanted to stand up, but his lower body wouldn't follow his commands. The curtains were pushed to the side, revealing a stunning beauty.

"You are awake, that's good," said the woman, sitting down in a chair beside his bed that had appeared out of nowhere.

Naruto didn't feel it, but his instincts as an assassin screamed at him. This woman didn't radiate any form of power, but this woman was dangerous. Whoever this was, she was strong… stronger than the average Shinobi. He knew that the appearance could trick someone into thinking someone would be weak, but he never fell for such a trick. His instincts, which he had developed during his life as a member of the foundation, were always accurate in those situations.

"Who are you, and how am I even alive?" Naruto asked carefully. It didn't matter right now how he had come back to life; the important piece of information was that he was alive again, and he didn't want to throw this chance away instantly by upsetting the powerful woman before him.

He only asked the obvious question, since he had a guess that this woman was somehow connected to the last memory he had before waking up.

"My name is Afureia. I am a Goddess," said Afureia. "And I am the one who saved you from the Death God before he could snatch your Soul."

"Huh?" Naruto didn't really know how to react. He had prepared himself for all kinds of answers, but not this simple and direct one. He considered deception or other tactics to evade his questions, but this woman immediately provided him with something that would clarify everything from the get-go.

"Are you serious? You are a goddess, and you saved me?" asked Naruto.

"Indeed. I am a goddess and saved you. It is only normal for you to question me, a stranger who declared something so unbelievable," said Afureia. "But to clarify something: You are neither alive nor dead right now. I may have saved you from the Death God, but I didn't bring you back to life yet."

"Huh? But I can feel my body, my heart, and everything else," said Naruto with confusion in his voice. "How can I not be alive if I feel my heart beating in my chest?"

"We are currently in a state of limbo, between life and death. I brought you here so I could give you a chance to make a choice. I could have simply revived you, but that is against my principles," said Afureia. "I never force anyone to do anything. Everything I do is to offer something."

"A choice? What choice could I make in this situation?" asked Naruto. "I am either alive or dead when you said the truth."

"If you want to pass on to the afterlife, or if you would like to get a chance at another life in a completely different world from the one you used to know," said Afureia.

"Are you serious? There are other worlds outside of the elemental nations?" Naruto asked, not really believing what he had heard.

"Of course," said Afureia. "But those worlds are all in different realities that are separated from each other, even when some are similar."

"And I would have the chance to be revived into one of those other worlds?" asked Naruto suspiciously. There was no way this wouldn't have a drawback.

"Indeed, but there would be a condition behind this chance. This is the reason I didn't revive you just like that since it would place a certain responsibility and danger on your shoulders," said Afureia.

'I knew it,' thought Naruto, frowning.

"Before I explain this to you, I would like to ask if you are interested in this offer. This could very well lead to a scenario similar to the one you had to endure in your past life, where many people would be wary of you and may even try to kill you," said Afureia. "At least if they would find out what you would get when reincarnating into the new world."

Naruto remained silent, thinking about this. Did he really have no other choice but to endure something similar in another world if he were given another chance? Would this even be worth it? He looked at Afureia and saw her stoic expression. So far, she hadn't seemed to lie to him and hadn't held anything back.

He had the chance to decline and pass on to the afterlife, making his death final. "What do you mean by that?" asked Naruto.

"The world where you would be reincarnated into is in a state of imbalance. My duty is to strive to maintain balance in the universe. You have all the things that would be needed to balance things out due to the unique circumstances of your former life," said Afureia.

"What could my life have to do with all this? I only lived a life in the shadows as a tool that was used by others," said Naruto. "I never stood up for myself when it really mattered. What could a human like me offer you that would be useful?"

"Darkness," said Afureia.

Naruto raised an eyebrow at that. "You are accustomed to the darkness of the world. You were surrounded by darkness your entire life, and instead of trying to find the light, you adapted and lived in the darkness that was forced upon you before you were born."

"What do you mean by darkness?" asked Naruto.

"You should know that answer," said Afureia. Naruto frowned and looked away, already aware of what this goddess meant. The darkness of the world, the darkness of humanity… he witnessed it all. If now the negative emotions like hatred, frustration, or other negative emotions…. Or if now murder, robbery, and other things that were not pleasant.

"You endured the darkness of the world by staying true to the path you chose to walk after someone showed you how to survive. You endured the darkness that was forced upon you with the Kyūbi inside your body, which was the embodiment of negative emotions. You endured and endured, without faltering once after you got the chance of just one person," said Afureia.

"The world where you would be reincarnated is in a state of imbalance between light and dark. Not in the actual sense, but in the balance of power between the forces of light and dark. Besides humans, there exist other races, such as gods, devils, angels, and others that you would learn about once you reincarnate into that world," said Afureia.

"And where would I come into play?" asked Naruto. He didn't care about all that balance shenanigans. All he wanted to know was what his role would be. The reasons, the explanation, and everything else were just things he didn't care about. The one thing he cared about was the little detail that Afureia said he would be in a similar situation to his past life. That meant something external would cause others to despise him and maybe even hunt him for that thing that would be given to him.

"You become the first follower of the God of Darkness, who had no followers for thousands of years," said Afureia. "You would gain access to new powers that would be recognizable to others who lived long enough. If the wrong people were to find out that you received the powers of the God of Darkness, then they would try to kill you because the God of Darkness threatens their existence."

Naruto frowned a little. "So, even if I were to choose to be reincarnated, I would literally be in the same spot as I was in my last life once the wrong person found out," said Naruto.

"Indeed, but it would all depend on you," said Afureia.

Naruto glanced at her stoic face, narrowing his eyes. "What do you mean by that?" asked Naruto.

"Like I already told you, there are other races besides humans. Some are also beings of Darkness. Many members of those races don't fear the God of Darkness, even when many of them don't even remember him," said Afureia.

"So I could actually get allies that wouldn't try to stab me in the back?" asked Naruto.

"Indeed, but that would all depend on your use of the powers you would get from the God of Darkness," said Afureia.

"What do you mean by that?" asked Naruto.

"You would understand once you met the God of Darkness and received his gift," said Afureia.

"So I would meet this God of Darkness before I would be reincarnated?" asked Naruto.

"Yes," said Afureia. "I would send you to him, and once you received his gift, you would automatically be reincarnated into the new world, or more precisely, your soul would be placed in someone who has the same name and appearance as you."

"Huh? What do you mean by that? There exists another version of me in this world already?" asked Naruto.

"Yes, but the Naruto Uzumaki of the world you would be reincarnated into died," said Afureia. "So technically, you would take over the life of another version of yourself."

"Wow…. Nice to hear such an important detail only now," said Naruto. "Would I at least get the memories of this other version of myself?"

"No. The memories are bound to his soul, which is already in the afterlife," said Afureia.

"Wait a second, if he died, then his body should be damaged beyond repair. Even if I were inside his body, there would be no functional body part left since the brain should be beyond broken," said Naruto.

"This isn't something you need to concern yourself with. The state of the body would be healed enough so that you could recover naturally within the new body, avoiding suspicion from other races from the get-go," said Afureia.

Naruto sighed at all this information. There was a possibility that everything could go south the moment he was reincarnated into this new body, but he had the choice to build the life he had always wanted. He would also gain new abilities, allowing him to defend himself. Powers of darkness…. That would be perfect for a former assassin like him.

It was a choice not to be made lightly, but Naruto saw a possibility in this choice. He closed his eyes and remained that way for 10 minutes before opening them with a determination he had never shown in his past life. His past life was filled with regrets, but this time, he wouldn't waver from the path he chose. He would live a life he wouldn't regret.

"I will take the chance at this new life. Not that there waits someone in the afterlife anyway. I may as well try my luck one more time before I join the people who died before me," said Naruto.

Afureia smiled slightly and said, "As you wish, Naruto Uzumaki. We will see each other soon enough."

"Huh? What?" asked Naruto as a green magic circle formed over him. "What do you mean by that?"

Afureia watched as Naruto vanished in a green light. She took her glasses and removed them for a second, thinking, 'Naruto Uzumaki… you truly are one of a kind.' She smiled and placed them back onto her nose, readjusting them before she too vanished.

She opened her eyes in the real world and looked at the body of Naruto Uzumaki, who had just died in this new world. Her green eyes shimmered with green energy when she looked toward the ceiling. She saw how a blue light came out of nowhere and crashed into the dead body of Naruto Uzumaki.

She looked at Naruto, seeing how his body moved suddenly again. 'This was faster than I thought. Aer must have taken a liking to Naruto as well,' thought Afureia. A red-black mist surrounded Naruto for a second before it wandered into his body. Afureia could see how Naruto's body readily accepted the newly acquired power.

She leaned forward and placed a hand on Naruto's forehead. 'Naruto Uzumaki, I will wait for you,' thought Afureia. She took her hand away before she vanished in a green light.

Naruto looked at himself in the mirror. 'So everything is true,' thought Naruto. He woke up two hours ago and looked at himself now in the mirror. His new body was remarkably similar to his old body, just not as muscular.

"You seem to enjoy yourself," said a female voice as something akin to a flame appeared out of nowhere beside Naruto.

Naruto glanced at the wisp and rolled his eyes, already getting used to the antics of his new partner. "Be quiet, Kaeram. I didn't call you, so why are you here?" Naruto asked.

"Is this even a question? I haven't breathed in air from this world for almost ten thousand years," Kaeram said. Kaeram was currently flowing freely beside Naruto in the form of a red-black flame with a face resembling a willow wisp, which only Naruto could see. (A/N: I will simply refer to this as her "Wisp Form" from now on.)

Naruto sighed, already getting a headache because of Kaeram. Kaeram's true form was a red dagger with a black hilt (A/N Look at the cover image to see what Kaeram's dagger form looks like.)

"If you want to explore the outside, then do it, but let me alone and annoy someone else," said Naruto.

Kaeram snickered in her wisp-like form before she said, "Of course, Master. I will gladly look around for you." She flew out of the open window of Naruto's hospital room, letting Naruto sigh in relief. Kaeram was the daughter of Aer, the God of Darkness. She was something called a Sacred Gear, created by Aer to support Aer's success in battle. Naruto looked at his hand and could feel the power he had gained from Aer.

Inside his body now flowed something different instead of chakra. The new energy that now flowed through his body was called Magic Power or Mana. Afureia also gave him a gift so he wouldn't stand out. She ensured he had all the necessary information to blend in, and having a basic understanding of the new world, humans, and the supernatural world was crucial for that.

He may have known how this world worked, but there was still one important piece of information that was left out: the life of Naruto Uzumaki in this world up to this point.

Naruto wasn't just thrown into this world as a new entity. He literally took over the body of someone who had already lived a life until the moment the person died. He already planned to fake amnesia so he could get information about the Naruto Uzumaki of this world. So far, he only knew that he was in a Town called Kuoh and that he was supposedly a student from the Kuoh Academy.

He still didn't really see himself attending a school, given all the things he had experienced in his past life.

The good thing was that he was certain this town, where he was supposedly living, didn't harbor any supernatural beings. This was something Afureia had promised him, and she hadn't lied to him once during their conversation, so he believed her on this matter.

So he could establish a new life in Kuoh while pretending to have amnesia. If he were lucky, he wouldn't even need to worry about the supernatural world. He smiled, looking at himself. 'This could really turn out better than I thought,' thought Naruto.

Naruto hummed to himself as he grabbed the fishing rod and pulled on it. A big fish emerged from the river where Naruto Uzumaki was fishing. Two years passed for Naruto Uzumaki, the only follower of Aer, the God of Darkness, the former Jinchūriki of the Kyūbi, and a former member of the foundation.

He established himself an enjoyable life here in Kuoh that was free of any influence of the supernatural world. Once or twice a week, one of those mutated devils would appear, resembling monsters that wanted to eat humans, but besides that, nothing much happened.

He could truly say about himself that he had worked through his past and was now truly enjoying his life as it should be. He overcome his shitty past and could now truly enjoy life as it was. He smiled more often, laughed with his classmates over silly things, discovered hobbies, and did something besides just training to survive. He didn't assassinate a single person because someone told him to. He really lived his life for himself this time so that he wouldn't regret it.

The only living beings he killed were those mutated devils that wanted to kill humans in Kuoh. Kaeram was whining and annoying Naruto if she couldn't cut something regularly. "Did you catch something big?" asked Kaeram as she appeared out of a bush in her wisp form. Naruto looked over his shoulder and said, "As you can see, yes." He held the fishing line with a big fish on the fishing hook.

"Was about time, you usually suck - UFF!" Naruto had backhanded Kaeram's wisp form, and she bounced back into the forest from which she came. He could hear her bouncing against multiple trees before she flew out of the forest and landed beside Naruto, her eyes wide with stars.

Naruto chuckled, having grown accustomed to his partner's antics. Kaeram was sharp-tongued, sarcastic, and arrogant, often mocking Naruto's decisions or weaknesses. Despite her blunt nature, she demonstrates moments of loyalty and care, albeit in her own abrasive way. She demands strength and decisiveness from her master, warning Naruto that any sign of vulnerability could lead to her devouring him.

The thing about Kaeram was that she wasn't a normal Sacred Gear. She could take over his body and devour him if Naruto wasn't always careful when he wielded her. He could perform a special technique that would allow Kaeram to temporarily manifest itself in Naruto's body, enabling her to unleash her full power. If Naruto wasn't careful in those moments, then his own conciseness could be devoured in the process. If he used that special technique, then his head was covered by a reddish-black mist. (A/N Look at the Cover Image to see how Naruto looked in that state.)

He separated the big fish from the fishing hook before a silver ring on his left ring finger glowed red. The fish was sucked into the silver ring before the ring stopped to glow red. The silver ring Naruto wore on his left ring finger was a special magic tool he obtained from Afureia. It was strange to realize that the goddess responsible for Naruto's current position was living here in Kuoh, disguised as a normal human, working at the Kuoh Academy as a nurse. But instead of Afureia, she was known as Chisato Hasegawa in this world. She was very popular in school due to her stunning beauty and exceptional skills in the medical field, as someone would expect of a goddess.

The silver ring had a storage function that worked just like an inventory in an online game. Naruto could control what he wanted to summon from the silver ring. The space didn't have a limit on how much it could store. The best magical tool Naruto could have gotten from Chisato Hasegawa.

He raised his arm over his head, letting the fishing rod fall a little behind him, before swinging his arm forward and casting the fishing hook back into the river. Then, he placed the fishing rod on the bracket, which ensured that the rod couldn't move or be pulled into the water by a fish. Naruto raised his hand, and a sphere of rotating dark magic appeared over it.

'I am glad I could recreate this technique from my past life,' thought Naruto. He managed to recreate the feared Rasengan, which Naruto learned in his past life. He didn't learn any element-related jutsu in his past life, but he was sure to have something else in his arsenal that wasn't tied to the swords he usually used for fighting or assassination. He even created a few variations of the Rasengan. He was able to recreate everything using the Dark Magic he had been able to wield since he entered this life.

Naruto leaned back slightly as the Rasengan, a product of dark magic, vanished over his palm. He smiled a little wider when he felt the sun shining stronger than usual. It was truly a blissful life he was living now. For what it was worth, he was glad he had died back in the Elemental Nations so he could be reincarnated into this body and live in this world.

Was it selfish? Hell yeah! Did Naruto care? Hell no!

He only suffered in his old life, so he allowed himself to enjoy this life to the fullest.

Naruto's eyes twitched when he noticed something with his enhanced healing abilities, which he honed as an assassin. He didn't move but looked to the other side of the forest. Kaeram slowly woke up from her paralyzed trance thanks to Naruto smacking her once with his backhand. Her wisp-like form shook slightly before Kaeram narrowed her eyes, flying up to Naruto's head. She only observed the other side of the river as her master did. She could clearly feel it – demonic energy.

Naruto grabbed Kaeram's wisp form before Kaeram transformed into her dagger form. Naruto stood up, allowing his magic power to rise. 'Secret Technique: Manifestation of Darkness!' thought Naruto.

A red-black mist began to envelop his head, and a reddish-black aura of magical power surrounded his entire body. This was the state in which Kaeram manifested itself in Naruto's body, allowing her to unleash her true power. Not that Naruto needed it right now, since the demonic energy wasn't nearly strong enough to be a threat. However, no one could identify Naruto, as his head was shrouded in a reddish-black mist.

He took a step forward before he suddenly stood on the other side of the river. It was one of the techniques he created in his past life. It was a movement technique that was designed to cover a larger distance with a single step. He called that technique Shunpo (Flash Step). In his past life, he utilized chakra, but in this life, he used his Mana to boost his body, allowing him to use this technique.

Naruto readied himself before someone stumbled out of the forest. Naruto stopped himself from attacking immediately. 'Isn't that the little sister of the current Satan?' thought Naruto. If he remembered correctly, then the devil who just stumbled out of the forest with many wounds all over her body was called Rias Gremory, the little sister of Sirzechs Lucifer, the current Satan who ruled over the devils.

If Rias Gremory wasn't in such a state, Naruto was sure he would blush a little because of her stunning beauty. Even when he was a trained assassin, he always had a weakness for beautiful women with red hair. It was something he inherited from his father.

His mother was also a beautiful woman with long, red hair. Rias was a beautiful young woman with a voluptuous figure, fair skin, and striking blue eyes, which she inherited from her father, Zeoticus. She had a curvy figure and massive breasts. Her most distinctive feature was her long, beautiful crimson hair, which also came from her father, cascading down to her thighs with a single strand (known in Japan as ahoge) sticking out from the top. Her hair featured loose bangs that covered her forehead and side bangs that framed her face. Well, currently, she had multiple cuts all over her body, and her clothes were mostly shredded. The red dress she wore, or what was left of it, must have been a real eye candy, but most of the dress was already gone.

Rias looked up with her blood-covered face. She just barely managed to escape the ambush of the exorcists. The two bodyguards who were supposed to guard her so she could look around in the human world were both killed.

"W-who.." Before Rias could finish her question about who Naruto was, her eyes rolled back into her head. Her weak body fell forward, and before she could crash into the ground, Naruto appeared before her with one arm outstretched.

Rias fell gently into Naruto's arms, completely exhausted. Naruto looked at her, remaining silent. He threw Kaeram into the air, picked Rias up like a bride, and then took one step, appearing at his fishing equipment. He sat her down on his camping chair before turning around and taking another step, appearing in his last position where he threw Kaeram into the air. He caught Kaeram again just when someone emerged from the forest.

"Now that is a surprise," said the newcomer. "I didn't think I would encounter another devil during my pursuit of the little sister of Satan."

"Who are you and what do you want?" asked Naruto. When Naruto was in his state where he used the secret technique to let Kaeram manifest inside him, his voice became darker, more menacing, and deeper. This was another reason why he usually used this technique to fight since no one could recognize him if now by appearance since his face was shrouded by the reddish-black mist, or by his changed voice.

"My, my… You are certainly a strong one, huh?" the newcomer asked. He chuckled to himself, raising his hand to the side. A golden magic circle appeared before the newcomer grabbed onto it, pulling a large sword out of it.

"Let me formerly introduce myself, you damn devil," said the man before Naruto. "I am one of the strongest exorcists who ever lived on this beautiful planet! My name is Gregor Alvenstin, the wielder of the Holy Sword Durandal!" (A/N: This is an OC. Durandal will eventually find its way into Xenovia's hands later in the story.)

Gregor had long, silver hair that fell to his shoulders, red eyes, and a muscular physique. It was clear that he was physically top fit. He wore a white-gold suit with sunglasses that covered his red eyes. In his right hand was Durandal, the holy sword said to rival the original Excalibur in pure strength.

The Durandal was a large, uniquely-shaped broadsword with a blue blade and a golden edge. The sword features a semicircular guard on the left side of the handle, extending to the bottom just above the pommel, with a small extension on the right side of the handle.

"I guess you won't just give up?" asked Naruto.

"I like your sense of humor, devil," said Gregor with a snicker. (A/N: When Naruto used Manifestation of Darkness, others perceived him as a devil due to his dark presence.)

(A/N Hi guys, this is Liberation12.

I hope you liked the first chapter of Yin & Yang. This story, as you might have already noticed, is set in an AU Dxd verse. The God of Darkness, Aer, and the Magic Sword, Kaeram, are from the Webtoon "The Reborn Young Lord is an Assassin."

However, don't worry, Naruto will retain his signature Rasengan and some variations in his arsenal, as already demonstrated in this fanfiction.

Before I leave you all alone, I wanted to ask you all something about my other fanfiction, "A New Dawn". I was away from writing for almost an entire year and wanted to hear if some of you still have an interest in the Naruto/Fairy Tail crossover. If no one has shown interest after such a long time, I don't need to spend time writing about it further. That would be all. I wish you all the best.

With Regards, Liberation12.)
