Chief Yagami and the members of the Kira Investigation Team stood in L's base of operations, their eyes wide with disbelief. A peculiar pink-coated pony, adorned with an emblem of blue and yellow balloons on her flank, bounced over to L. She expertly balanced a small tray with a cupcake on top of her mane.
"Would you like another cupcake, Mr. Spiky?" the pink mare inquired, her cheerful demeanor contrasting sharply with the atmosphere in the room as L sat in his usual, contemplative posture.
"Thank you, Ms. Pie," L responded, accepting the cupcake, seemingly oblivious to the astonished expressions from the task force gathered around him.
"Ryuuzaki, what is going on here? What is that... thing?" asked Touta Matsuda, struggling to comprehend the bizarre situation that had unfolded.
"I'm Pinkie Pie, you silly foal! The party mare of all of Ponyville! Oh! I need to check on the chocolate cake! I'll be back in a jiff!" Pinkie giggled warmly before bouncing into another room, leaving the team in stunned silence.
Once she was gone, Aizawa took the opportunity to speak up. "Care to explain why a mutant horse is roaming around, Ryuuzaki?"
"Pony," L corrected him calmly. "And to answer your question, I haven't had the chance to gather any information from her yet..."
"I'm baaaack!" Pinkie chirped, reentering the room with a tray of chocolate cake gracefully balanced on her back. L and the others exchanged glances, marveling at her remarkable ability to carry it without a hitch.
"Ms. Pie, I appreciate the treats," L said, retrieving the tray and placing it on the table with a note of gratitude.
"You certainly seem unfazed by all of this," Mogi observed, eyeing the detective curiously.
"Indeed," L replied, turning his attention back to Pinkie Pie. "We are, after all, investigating a formidable individual who employs supernatural methods to carry out killings."
Pinkie eagerly interjected, "Oh! Oh! My friend Twilight has a book titled 'Supernatural!' Maybe I can ask her if you can borrow it!"
"You mean there are more of you?" Matsuda asked, his mind racing to envision a world full of ponies like her.
"Well, of course! Ponyville is full of us! Oh! Perhaps I could throw you a party!" Pinkie exclaimed, bouncing joyously around the humans in the room.
"Ms. Pie, I'm afraid that—" L began, only to be interrupted.
"Call me Pinkie! My mother is Ms. Pie," she insisted, her smile unwavering.
"Right, Pinkie. As I was saying, we cannot focus on parties right now. We have more pressing matters to attend to," L explained, prompting Pinkie to cease her prancing.
"You mean that that guy is that doing bad things?" Pinkie inquired, and L nodded affirmatively. "That Kira person is such a meanie mean-pants, even worse than Gida! That means I can throw him or her a party!"
"Is throwing a party your answer to everything?" Aizawa asked, beginning to suspect that there no intelligence to this pink pony.
"Yup! Why not?" Pinkie wondered, her enthusiasm unwavering.
With a sigh of resignation, Aizawa decided to let the moment go. "Never mind."
