Chapter 12: Creator of the Omnitrix

Hey everyone! I'm back with a new chapter! This one was fun to write, especially focusing on other OC chapters and ideas. I'm also thinking about writing a spinoff story to Omnitrix: A New Titan, but I haven't decided yet.

Anyway, sit back, relax, review, and enjoy!

In the quiet stillness of the Titans Tower medical bay, the soft hum of machinery provided the only sound as the team gathered around Jake. He lay on a medical bed, his face pale, and his chest rising and falling ever so slightly with labored breaths. The explosion from the Omnitrix had taken a heavy toll, leaving him battered, bruised, and barely clinging to consciousness.

The Titans stood nearby, their faces etched with worry. Robin's arms were crossed tightly over his chest, his usually sharp eyes now softened with concern. Raven hovered near the foot of the bed, her expression unreadable, though the dark energy flickering around her fingertips betrayed the turmoil within. Starfire floated gently above the ground, her glowing green eyes filled with tears, unable to look away from Jake's frail form.

Beast Boy, in the form of a small dog, rested his head on the edge of the bed, his eyes wide and glistening with unshed tears. He nudged Jake's arm softly with his nose, whimpering as he tried to coax his friend back to consciousness.

"Jakey, come on, buddy," Beast Boy murmured, his voice trembling. "You've gotta wake up… Please, wake up."

The others watched in silence, the weight of the situation heavy in the air. Cyborg was seated by the monitoring equipment, his fingers typing rapidly as he kept a close eye on Jake's vitals. He frowned, the readings showing just how precarious Jake's condition was.

"He's stable, but just barely," Cyborg reported, his voice subdued. "That explosion… It's a miracle he's even alive."

Robin clenched his fists, his jaw tightening. "We can't lose him. Not like this."

"We won't," Raven said firmly, her voice cutting through the tension. "We'll do everything we can to help him recover. But we need to figure out what happened with the Omnitrix. Why did it explode?"

Cyborg shook his head. "I'm not sure. The Omnitrix is incredibly complex… I'll need more time to analyze the data."

Starfire floated closer, gently touching Jake's forehead. "He is strong. He will fight this… He must."

Beast Boy whimpered again, licking Jake's hand in a desperate attempt to get any reaction from him. "Please, Jakey… We need you. I need you."

But Jake remained still, his breathing shallow and uneven. The Omnitrix, now dark and silent on his wrist, offered no signs of life, a stark reminder of the danger he had faced.

As the team stood there, the reality of the situation began to sink in. They had been through countless battles, faced numerous enemies, but seeing Jake like this—so vulnerable, so close to the edge—was something none of them were prepared for.

"We'll get him through this," Robin said, more to himself than to anyone else. "We have to."

"Can we contact Zorath, Lyra, Rex, and Zeebo? They know Jake well; maybe they can figure out more and help him," Starfire asked.

"No, we can't," Robin replied. "If they see him like this, they'll probably take him away from us. Besides, they haven't seen Jake since the whole Hive incident—they still think he's 14, not 10 years old now. Plus, I already called a friend."

Raven, her arms crossed, nodded in agreement. "He's been through a lot, and right now, we're the ones who've been here with him. We need to handle this ourselves. Besides, like Robin said, they still think he's 14. If they knew about the… changes, it could complicate things even more."

Cyborg turned his chair slightly, his mechanical eye glowing as he continued to monitor Jake's vitals. "I'm with Robin on this. We need to keep Jake close and figure this out ourselves. They haven't been around since the Hive incident, and things have changed. Plus, Robin already called a friend."

Starfire frowned but didn't argue further. Her concern for Jake was evident, but she trusted Robin's judgment. "Who did you contact then, Robin?"

Robin straightened up, his expression resolute. "I reached out to someone who has experience with alien tech—someone who might be able to help us understand what's going on with the Omnitrix and how to fix this. They'll be here soon."

Beast Boy, still in his dog form, looked up from Jake with wide, pleading eyes. "You think they can help him?"

Robin placed a hand on Beast Boy's shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "I hope so, BB. We're going to do everything we can to get Jake back on his feet. We're not losing him."

Starfire floated back a bit, her concern shifting into quiet resolve. "Then we shall wait and hope your friend can provide the assistance we need."

The team fell into a tense silence once more, each member lost in their thoughts, all of them focused on the boy lying unconscious on the medical bed. Robin's contact was their best hope, and they all knew it.

Minutes felt like hours as they waited, the atmosphere heavy with worry. Finally, a flash of green light appeared in the room, and standing there was an elderly Galvan—an anthropomorphic, grey-skinned alien resembling a small, amphibious creature. His bulbous green eyes, with rectangular black pupils and eyelids that opened and closed horizontally, scanned the room. Four thin tendrils grew out of his lower jaw, while two longer ones extended from his upper jaw, giving him the appearance of having a beard.

This was Azmuth, the creator of the Omnitrix.

The Titans tensed as the flash of green light faded, revealing the small, elderly alien standing before them. Even Robin, who had called for help, didn't recognize the figure at first. The team instinctively fell into a defensive stance, ready for anything.

"Who is this?" Beast Boy whispered, shifting back into his human form, his eyes wide with confusion.

"I don't know," Robin admitted, his gaze narrowing as he studied the alien. "But stay alert."

Azmuth, however, paid no attention to the Titans. His focus was solely on Jake. With an air of authority and purpose, he ignored the defensive postures of the heroes and walked straight over to the medical bed where Jake lay.

Cyborg stepped forward, unsure whether to intervene. "Hey, what are you—"

Before he could finish, Azmuth effortlessly removed the damaged Omnitrix from Jake's wrist, handling it with ease. The Titans were shocked, knowing how difficult it had been for anyone to even touch the device, let alone remove it.

Azmuth held the Omnitrix in his small hands, examining it closely. "So, Tennyson gave this to a child," he muttered to himself, shaking his head in disbelief. "He was supposed to pass it on to someone else, someone ready for it… not this kid."

Robin, still on guard, stepped forward cautiously. "Who are you? And why are you taking the Omnitrix?"

Azmuth glanced at Robin, his expression dismissive. "I am Azmuth, the creator of the Omnitrix. I'm here to take it back. This child was never meant to have it, and clearly, he wasn't worthy of it if he managed to explode it in the first place."

The room fell silent, the tension thickening as the weight of Azmuth's words sank in. The Titans slowly lowered their guard, their confusion turning into anger.

"He wasn't worthy?" Raven echoed, her voice filled with disbelief. "He used the Omnitrix to protect us from that alien creature! He risked everything to save us!"

Azmuth frowned, unconvinced. "That doesn't change the fact that he wasn't supposed to have it. The Omnitrix isn't a toy; it's a tool of immense power and responsibility. And now, thanks to him, it's damaged."

Cyborg's hands clenched into fists. "Jake did what he had to do to protect us. He's proven himself time and time again!"

"Maybe in your eyes," Azmuth replied coolly. "But in mine, he wasn't ready. The Omnitrix was never meant for someone like him. I'm taking it back to ensure it doesn't end up in the wrong hands again."

Beast Boy, his voice filled with desperation, spoke up. "You can't just take it away! Jake needs it—he's saved lives with it!"

Azmuth's eyes narrowed. "And nearly lost his own in the process. The Omnitrix was designed to be used by someone who understood its purpose, someone who could handle its power. This child… was not that someone."

Robin stepped forward, his voice firm. "Jake may not have been the intended user, but he's proven he deserves it. He exploded the Omnitrix to protect us, to stop that alien. He didn't do it out of recklessness—he did it out of courage."

Azmuth sighed, clearly uninterested in the Titans' defense. "I'm not here to debate this with you. The Omnitrix is mine, and I'm taking it back. What happens to the boy now is no longer my concern."

The Titans exchanged frustrated glances, realizing that arguing with Azmuth was pointless. They knew how much the Omnitrix had come to mean to Jake and how it had become a part of who he was. But now, it seemed that part of him was being taken away.

As Azmuth turned to leave, Robin called out, his voice filled with determination. "You may take the Omnitrix, but you can't take away what Jake's done. He's a hero, with or without it."

Azmuth paused for a moment, then continued walking, the Omnitrix in his grasp. "We'll see," he said quietly, more to himself than to the Titans.

The door closed behind him, leaving the Titans standing in tense silence. Jake lay still on the bed, his breathing shallow, unaware of the battle that had just taken place over his future.

We find ourselves deep within the mindscape of Jake. The scene is pitch black, with Jake floating in an endless void. The silence is broken only by faint echoes, ghostly remnants of voices that swirl around him, disorienting and unsettling.

Suddenly, a distinct voice cuts through the darkness, clear and dripping with sarcasm. "You finally decided to blow up the Omnitrix, huh? And here I thought you were actually going to go through with it. If I'm being honest, I'm impressed. You had the nerve to even try."

Jake's form shifts slightly as he tries to orient himself, his mind struggling to grasp the situation. The voice continues, unrelenting, almost mocking. "Seriously, though? You really thought it was a good idea? 'Oh, I know! Let's just blow up the Omnitrix—the most powerful weapon in the universe! That'll solve everything!' Pinnacle of brilliance, really."

The voice, dripping with disappointment now, seems to come from all directions, surrounding Jake. "And I trusted you, Jake. I had faith that you'd be the next wielder of the Omnitrix, that you'd rise to the occasion. But here you are, ready to throw it all away. Just like that. To protect your friends? Noble, sure. But was it worth it?"

Jake tries to respond, but the words catch in his throat, the weight of the voice's accusations pressing down on him. He feels the darkness closing in, the void around him tightening, as if judging him for his actions.

The voice softens slightly, though it still holds a tone of bitter disappointment. "Do you even realize what you were about to destroy? The Omnitrix isn't just a weapon. It's a responsibility, a legacy. And you were ready to toss it aside like it was nothing."

Jake's mind reels as he absorbs the words, the gravity of what he nearly did settling over him like a heavy shroud. He's not sure who—or what—is speaking to him, but he knows the voice is right. He was reckless, driven by desperation and fear.

The voice goes quiet, leaving Jake alone in the darkness once more, left to contemplate his choices and the consequences that now loom over him.

The voice in the void let out a sigh, as if tired of the back-and-forth. "Okay, I'm done with this whole disembodied voice routine." There was a snap, and suddenly, the endless darkness around Jake transformed.

The black void was replaced with a lush green field, the sun shining brightly above. The air was fresh, and a gentle breeze rustled the grass. Jake blinked in confusion, trying to process the sudden change. As he looked around, he noticed a figure standing a few feet away from him, his back turned.

The figure was tall, dressed in a black and green jacket with a white number "10" emblazoned on the back. He seemed older, maybe in his late teens, with a confident stance and an air of experience about him. Jake squinted, trying to make sense of who this was. The familiarity of the figure tugged at something in the back of his mind, but the memory was just out of reach.

The figure turned around, revealing a familiar yet older face—one that exuded a mix of determination and wisdom, with a hint of playful arrogance. It was Ben Tennyson, though a teenage version of him, not the young boy Jake might have seen in passing.

Ben raised an eyebrow as he noticed Jake's confusion. "What's the matter, Jake? Don't recognize me?" His tone was light, but there was an edge to it, as if he was waiting for Jake to piece it all together.

Jake stared at him, still trying to connect the dots. "Who… are you? And how do you know my name?"

Ben crossed his arms, shaking his head slightly. "I'm the guy who had the Omnitrix before you, Jake. The one who figured out how to use it without, you know, trying to blow it up."

Jake's eyes widened slightly, but his memory was still fuzzy. "I don't… I don't remember you. I don't even remember how I got the Omnitrix."

Ben's expression softened a bit as he realized the extent of Jake's confusion. "That's probably because you're stuck in this mindscape, and your memories are a bit scrambled right now. But trust me, we've got a lot more in common than you realize."

Jake remained silent, his mind racing as he tried to piece everything together. This was the older version of the hero he'd vaguely heard about—Ben Tennyson, the one who had mastered the Omnitrix before him. But why was he here now?

Ben took a step closer, his tone becoming more serious. "Listen, Jake. The Omnitrix is more than just a tool or a weapon. It's a responsibility—a legacy. I get that you were scared, that you felt like blowing it up was the only way to protect your friends. But you need to understand that there's always another way. You've got to trust in yourself and in the Omnitrix."

Jake looked down at his wrist, where the Omnitrix had been. "I didn't know what else to do. I thought… I thought it was the only way."

Ben sighed, placing a hand on Jake's shoulder. "I get it. I've been there—facing impossible odds, feeling like there's no way out. But you're stronger than you think. And you've got a team that believes in you. Don't give up on them, and don't give up on yourself."

Jake looked up at Ben, seeing the resolve in his eyes. He didn't have all the answers, and he still didn't remember everything, but something about Ben's words resonated with him.

Ben gave him a small, encouraging smile. "Now, let's figure out how to get you out of this mindscape and back to your friends. They're counting on you, Jake."

Ben raised a hand to stop Jake before he could respond. "Before we get you out of here, there's something you need to see," Ben said, his voice taking on a more serious tone. "I want to show you how you got the Omnitrix—how it ended up with you, and how you ended up in that pod."

Jake looked at him, curiosity and a bit of anxiety flickering in his eyes. "You mean... you know what happened? How I got here?"

Ben nodded. "Yeah, and it's time you knew too." He snapped his fingers again, and the peaceful green field around them started to dissolve, morphing into something else entirely.

The world around Jake shifted, and suddenly they were standing outside a large, old building. It was gray and worn, with a sign out front that read *Westside Orphanage*. Children were playing in a small yard, their laughter echoing through the air, but Jake could feel the underlying sadness that hung over the place.

"This is where it started," Ben said, his voice softer now as they watched the scene unfold. "This orphanage… it was the last place I saw you before everything changed."

Jake frowned, watching the children play. He couldn't remember any of this, but something about it felt… familiar, like a half-forgotten dream. "Why are we here?" he asked quietly.

Ben gestured toward the orphanage, and as they stepped forward, the scene changed again. Now they were inside, walking down a dimly lit hallway. They passed by rooms filled with bunk beds and old toys, and finally came to a stop outside one particular room.

Inside, Jake saw a younger version of himself—around 8 years old, sitting on a bed with a sullen expression. The younger Jake was fiddling with something small in his hands, something that looked like a worn-out action figure.

"You were just a kid," Ben said, his voice tinged with a mix of regret and nostalgia. "You didn't know anything about aliens or the Omnitrix. All you wanted was to find a family, a place where you belonged."

Jake watched his younger self, feeling a pang of sadness as the memories slowly started to resurface. He remembered the loneliness, the longing for something more, but he still didn't understand how this connected to the Omnitrix.

Ben continued, "I had been tracking Vilgax for months, trying to stop him from getting his hands on the Omnitrix again. But I knew I couldn't keep it forever—I had to find someone else to take on the responsibility, someone who could carry on the legacy."

Jake turned to Ben, realization slowly dawning on him. "You… you chose me?"

Ben nodded. "I didn't just choose you because I needed someone. I chose you because I saw something in you—something I saw in myself when I first got the Omnitrix. You had the potential to be a hero, Jake. I knew that with the right guidance, you could do great things."

The scene shifted again, and now they were in a dark alley, rain pouring down around them. The younger Jake was running, clutching a small bag, while two shadowy figures chased after him.

"That night, you tried to run away from the orphanage," Ben explained. "You were scared, tired of feeling like you didn't belong. But you ended up running straight into trouble."

Jake watched as his younger self was cornered by the two figures. Just as they were about to grab him, a bright green light filled the alley. Ben appeared, much younger than he was now, his face set in determination.

"I saved you that night," Ben said, "and I made a decision. I knew I couldn't keep the Omnitrix forever, and I didn't want it falling into the wrong hands. So I gave it to you."

Jake watched as the younger Ben placed the Omnitrix on the boy's wrist. The scene shifted once more, and now they were in a laboratory, with Jake lying unconscious in a pod, the Omnitrix glowing faintly on his wrist.

"I put you in that pod to keep you safe," Ben continued. "I knew Vilgax was after you, and I couldn't risk him finding you before you were ready. So I sent you far away, hoping that you'd be safe until the time was right."

Jake looked up at Ben, the weight of everything he'd just learned sinking in. "You… you put all your trust in me? But why? I don't even remember any of this."

Ben smiled faintly, placing a hand on Jake's shoulder. "Because I believed in you, Jake. And I still do. You've got what it takes to be a hero, even if you don't see it yet."

Jake swallowed, feeling a mix of emotions—fear, responsibility, and a strange sense of pride. He didn't remember all the details, but he could feel the truth in Ben's words. This was his legacy now, and he had to live up to it.

Ben stepped back, the green field from before slowly fading back into view. "It's time to wake up, Jake. Your friends need you. And remember—trust in yourself, and trust in the Omnitrix. You're stronger than you think."

The world around them started to dissolve once more, and Jake felt himself being pulled back to consciousness, Ben's words echoing in his mind as everything faded to black.

As the door closed behind Azmuth, the Titans stood in uneasy silence, processing what had just happened. The room felt heavier, the absence of the Omnitrix on Jake's wrist a stark reminder of what had been lost.

Beast Boy was the first to break the silence, his voice filled with frustration. "I can't believe that guy! Just waltzing in here, taking the Omnitrix like Jake doesn't even matter!"

Raven's expression remained calm, but her eyes betrayed her inner turmoil. "He may have created the Omnitrix, but he doesn't understand what Jake has been through with it. We do."

Cyborg nodded, his mechanical eye still focused on Jake's vitals. "We've seen Jake use the Omnitrix to save lives, to protect people. He's a hero, with or without that thing."

Robin was about to respond when the Tower's alarm system blared to life, cutting through the tense atmosphere like a knife. The sudden sound jolted everyone back to reality.

"Great, just what we need right now," Robin muttered, his voice laced with frustration as he turned toward the nearest console. He quickly accessed the Tower's security systems, pulling up the alert details on the large screen.

"Looks like we've got trouble downtown," Cyborg reported, his voice all business as he scanned the incoming data. "Multiple sightings of alien activity. Looks like something big is going down."

Robin's jaw tightened as he glanced at Jake's still form on the bed. "We need to go. The city needs us."

"But what about Jake?" Starfire asked, her eyes full of concern as she looked at the unconscious boy.

"We can't leave him alone," Raven said firmly. "Someone has to stay behind."

Robin nodded in agreement. "Raven, you stay here and watch over Jake. The rest of us will handle the situation downtown. We'll take care of this as quickly as possible and get back here."

Raven gave a brief nod. "Understood."

Beast Boy hesitated, torn between his desire to help the team and his concern for Jake. "Are you sure you'll be okay, Raven? I can stay too…"

"I'll be fine," Raven assured him, her voice steady. "Jake needs someone here, and I'm the best choice. Go with the others. The city needs you."

Robin placed a reassuring hand on Beast Boy's shoulder. "We'll get through this, BB. Jake's tough—he'll pull through. Right now, we need to focus on the mission."

Beast Boy took a deep breath and nodded, though his worry for Jake was still evident in his eyes. "Okay, let's do this."

The Titans moved with purpose, leaving the medical bay and heading toward the main entrance of the Tower. As they exited, Robin turned back one last time, his gaze lingering on Jake before the door slid shut behind him.

Raven stayed behind, her eyes never leaving Jake as she sat down beside the bed. Her hands hovered over him, dark energy swirling around her fingertips as she prepared to heal and protect him if needed. She could feel the strain in his body, the toll that the explosion had taken on him.

"You're strong, Jake," Raven whispered softly, her voice barely audible. "You've come this far… don't give up now."

Meanwhile, the rest of the Titans raced toward the city, their minds focused on the mission ahead. The stakes were high, and they knew they had to be at their best if they were going to protect their home and get back to Jake.

As the Titans arrived in the heart of the city, the source of the disturbance became clear. The sky above was darkened by massive, swirling clouds, and beneath them, strange, towering figures moved through the streets. Their alien forms were unlike anything the Titans had seen before, and they were wreaking havoc on everything in their path.

Robin led the charge, his voice firm and commanding. "Titans, go!"

The team sprang into action, each member using their unique abilities to engage the alien threats. Starfire's energy blasts lit up the sky, while Cyborg's sonic cannon tore through the enemy ranks. Beast Boy shifted into a massive gorilla, using his strength to fend off the attackers.

But even as they fought, the Titans couldn't help but think of the boy they had left behind in the Tower, the boy who had risked everything to protect them. And they knew that no matter what happened, they would do whatever it took to ensure Jake's sacrifice wasn't in vain.

The battle raged on, and the Titans fought with everything they had, determined to win—for the city, for each other, and for Jake.

Meanwhile, on Galvan Prime, Azmuth sat in his expansive laboratory, the intricate and advanced machinery humming quietly around him. The Omnitrix lay on the workbench before him, its once-glowing green face now dim and lifeless. Azmuth's slender fingers worked with precise, practiced movements as he attempted to restore the device to its full functionality. However, something wasn't right.

He frowned as he noticed a critical piece was missing—the Omnicore, the very heart of the Omnitrix. Without it, the device was nothing more than a glorified piece of technology, incapable of functioning as it should. Azmuth muttered under his breath, frustrated by the oversight, but there was something else that gnawed at his mind, pulling his focus away from his work.

Robin's words echoed in his thoughts, replaying over and over again: *"You may take the Omnitrix, but you can't take away what Jake's done. He's a hero, with or without it."*

Azmuth tried to push the words aside, focusing instead on the task at hand, but they continued to linger. He had seen countless beings wield the Omnitrix, from Ben Tennyson to others who had crossed his path, but none had made him question his decisions like this. He had taken the Omnitrix from Jake without a second thought, deeming him unworthy after the explosion, but now… doubt was creeping into his mind.

Could it be that he had misjudged the boy? Was there more to Jake than just the Omnitrix?

Azmuth paused, his hands still hovering over the inert device. The Omnicore was essential, yes, but the Omnitrix was not just about the technology—it was about the person who wielded it, the choices they made, and the impact they had on the universe.

Robin's words had struck a chord, forcing Azmuth to reconsider his actions. He had created the Omnitrix to be a force for good, to bring about understanding and peace among species. But he had been so focused on the device itself, on its power and capabilities, that he had forgotten the most important element—the heart of the one who wore it.

With a sigh, Azmuth pushed back from the workbench and walked over to a large viewport that overlooked the bustling cityscape of Galvan Prime. The stars twinkled in the distance, a reminder of the vastness of the universe and the countless lives affected by his creations.

Could it be that Jake was indeed worthy?* he wondered.

Azmuth's mind raced as he contemplated his next move. The Omnitrix was damaged, and without the Omnicore, it was unusable. But perhaps, before he continued his work, there was something he needed to do—something more important than fixing the device.

Maybe I was wrong* he admitted to himself. *Maybe Jake deserves a second chance.*

Determined, Azmuth turned away from the viewport and headed back to the workbench. But this time, his focus was not on repairing the Omnitrix. Instead, he began to prepare for a journey—one that would take him back to Earth, back to the boy he had so quickly dismissed.

As he made his preparations, Robin's words continued to echo in his mind, serving as a reminder that even the most brilliant minds could sometimes miss the most important truths. Azmuth was ready to face Jake again, but this time, he would approach the boy not as the creator of the Omnitrix, but as someone who recognized the true value of a hero—whether they wore the device or not.

Back on Earth, in the heart of the city, the Titans were still engaged in their battle against the alien invaders. But far away, on Galvan Prime, a small, elderly Galvan was beginning to realize that the greatest power wasn't in the Omnitrix itself, but in the courage and determination of those who wielded it.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, the Titans found themselves in the midst of a chaotic battle. The city streets were overrun by a swarm of small, nimble aliens, each armed with energy weapons that fired rapid, pulsating blasts. These aliens, though small in stature, compensated with their overwhelming numbers and relentless aggression.

Robin, his staff whirling in a blur of motion, led the charge against the alien horde. His movements were precise and calculated, each strike knocking weapons out of alien hands or sending them sprawling to the ground. Yet, despite his best efforts, more aliens kept coming, their numbers seemingly endless.

"Titans, stay focused!" Robin shouted, his voice sharp and commanding. He kicked an alien out of the way and immediately spun around to deflect a blast aimed at him. The alien's shot ricocheted off his staff, hitting a nearby car and causing it to explode.

Cyborg, using his sonic cannon, was holding back a particularly dense cluster of aliens. With each shot, the sonic waves sent several aliens flying back, but they quickly regrouped, their weapons blazing with energy. Cyborg gritted his teeth, adjusting his aim and firing off another barrage.

"Man, these little guys just don't quit!" Cyborg grumbled as he blasted another wave of aliens, sending them crashing into the side of a building. But even as he did, more aliens swarmed in, firing at him from all angles. He raised his arm, deflecting the incoming shots with a force field. "We've got to find a way to thin them out, or we're gonna be overrun!"

Starfire soared above the battlefield, her eyes glowing bright green as she unleashed a volley of starbolts at the aliens below. Each bolt struck with precision, scattering the aliens and destroying their weapons. But for every alien she took down, it seemed two more took its place.

"They are like insects!" Starfire exclaimed, her voice tinged with frustration. She dodged a series of energy blasts, countering with a powerful starbolt that created a small crater where it landed. "Their numbers are overwhelming, and they continue to multiply!"

Beast Boy, in the form of a massive gorilla, was using his brute strength to smash through the alien ranks. With a roar, he grabbed two aliens by the arms and slammed them into the ground, sending shockwaves through the pavement. But even as he did, more aliens clambered over the fallen, their weapons trained on him.

"C'mon, you ugly little gremlins!" Beast Boy bellowed, transforming into a rhino and charging through a group of aliens, scattering them like bowling pins. He transformed again into a hawk, swooping down to snatch up one of the alien guns, then into a cheetah, racing through the streets to take out more of the aliens. Despite his speed and strength, the sheer number of enemies was making it difficult for him to keep up.

The Titans fought valiantly, but they were beginning to feel the strain. The aliens' coordinated attacks and unending numbers were taking their toll. The team was growing tired, their movements just a fraction slower than before. Yet, even as fatigue set in, their thoughts kept drifting back to Jake, lying unconscious in the medical bay.

Robin, his mind racing with strategies, couldn't shake the image of Jake from his thoughts. He knew they had to focus on the battle, but the nagging worry gnawed at the back of his mind. *Jake wouldn't want us to lose focus* he reminded himself, tightening his grip on his staff as he deflected another blast and sent an alien crashing into a lamppost.

Cyborg's normally jovial demeanor was replaced with a fierce determination. As he unleashed another wave of sonic blasts, he found himself wondering what Jake would do in this situation. The kid had proven time and again that he was more than capable—*he's a hero* Cyborg thought, the realization fueling his resolve. He fired a charged blast at a cluster of aliens, the sonic wave dispersing them across the street.

Starfire, her heart heavy with worry, channeled her emotions into her attacks. Each starbolt she fired was more powerful than the last, as if by fighting harder, she could somehow protect Jake from the danger he was facing. She unleashed a flurry of starbolts, lighting up the sky with green energy and sending aliens flying in all directions.

Beast Boy, despite the frantic pace of the battle, couldn't help but remember the times he'd spent with Jake—how the kid had looked up to him, how they'd played games together. *I've gotta make sure he wakes up* Beast Boy thought, transforming into a bear and swiping a group of aliens aside with a single massive paw. He let out a roar, more to hype himself up than to intimidate the aliens, before charging into another group.

The battle raged on, the Titans giving everything they had. The city was a war zone, with overturned cars, shattered windows, and craters marking the streets. The alien weapons lit up the night, casting an eerie glow over the battlefield.

But no matter how many aliens the Titans took down, more kept coming. They were outnumbered, outgunned, and growing weary. Yet, they fought on, driven by the thought of protecting their city—and by the hope that Jake would be okay.

Suddenly, the ground beneath them rumbled, and from the depths of the street, a massive alien war machine emerged—a towering, crab-like construct with multiple legs and cannons mounted on its back. The alien leader perched atop it, barking orders in a language the Titans couldn't understand.

The machine began firing its cannons, sending explosive rounds into the buildings around them. The Titans quickly scattered, narrowly avoiding the devastating blasts.

Robin skidded to a halt, his mind racing as he tried to come up with a plan. *This is bad* he thought, glancing around at his team. They were exhausted, and this new threat was unlike anything they had faced so far.

"We need to take that thing down!" Robin shouted, regrouping with the others. "But we've got to be smart about it. Cyborg, can you hit it with a sonic blast?"

Cyborg nodded, his cannon charging up. "I'll give it everything I've got!"

As Cyborg took aim, Starfire flew into position, ready to unleash her most powerful starbolts. Beast Boy transformed into a massive eagle, circling the machine from above, looking for any weak points. Robin, his mind sharp despite the exhaustion, prepared to lead the charge.

"On my mark!" Robin yelled. "Now!"

Cyborg unleashed a powerful sonic blast, the energy wave crashing into the machine's side. At the same moment, Starfire fired her starbolts, the green energy slamming into the war machine's cannons, causing them to misfire. Beast Boy, spotting an opening, dove down and transformed into a T-Rex, crashing into one of the machine's legs with enough force to buckle it.

The machine staggered, its cannons firing wildly as it tried to regain its balance. Robin saw his chance and leaped onto the machine's back, using his staff to disable the controls. With a series of swift, precise movements, he took out the alien leader, knocking him off the machine and into the rubble below.

The machine, now out of control, began to collapse, its legs giving way as it fell to the ground in a heap of twisted metal. The remaining aliens, seeing their leader defeated, quickly retreated, fleeing the battlefield.

The Titans stood amidst the wreckage, breathing heavily as they surveyed the damage. They had won, but it had been a hard-fought victory.

Robin wiped the sweat from his brow, turning to his team. "Is everyone okay?"

"Barely," Cyborg said, leaning against a crumpled car. "But we did it."

Beast Boy, still in his T-Rex form, let out a triumphant roar before transforming back into his human self. "We totally kicked butt!"

Starfire floated down beside them, her eyes still glowing faintly. "We have succeeded, but at great cost. I hope Jake is faring better than we are."

Robin nodded, his thoughts immediately returning to the boy they had left behind. "Let's head back to the Tower. We need to check on him."

With that, the Titans made their way back to the Tower, their bodies weary but their spirits unbroken. The battle had been tough, but they knew that the real challenge was yet to come. Jake was still unconscious, and the Omnitrix was gone. But they had each other, and together, they would find a way to help their friend—no matter what it took.

The Titans returned to the Tower, weary from the battle but eager to check on Jake. As they entered the main room, they found Raven still by Jake's side, her eyes closed in concentration as she continued to monitor his condition. A soft, black glow emanated from her hands, indicating she was using her powers to stabilize him. When she opened her eyes, she saw the rest of the team had returned.

"How's he doing?" Robin asked, concern evident in his voice as he walked over to the bed.

"He's stable," Raven replied, her voice calm but tinged with exhaustion. "But he's still unconscious. It's like he's recovering, but slowly. We'll need to keep a close eye on him."

Just then, a flash of green light filled the room, and the Titans turned to see Azmuth standing there, holding a small box in his hands. His expression was as stern as ever, though there was a hint of something else in his eyes—perhaps a touch of guilt or resolve.

"Azmuth?" Cyborg asked, stepping forward. "What are you doing back here? And what's in the box?"

The rest of the Titans looked on curiously, surprised to see the Galvan genius again so soon after he had left with the damaged Omnitrix. They noticed that Azmuth seemed to be carrying a different version of the device, though it was concealed within the small box.

Azmuth didn't immediately answer. Instead, he approached Jake's bed and placed the box on the table beside it. He opened the lid, revealing the Omnitrix inside. The device looked different from the one Jake had worn before. Its faceplate was now square rather than round, and it featured a sleek white, green, and black color scheme. The black faceplate had two green stripes forming an outline for the hourglass of the Galvan tech logo.

"This is the new Omnitrix," Azmuth said, his voice steady and authoritative. "Or, more accurately, a perfected version of it."

Robin frowned, studying the device carefully. "You mean, it's different from the one Jake had?"

"Yes," Azmuth replied, nodding slightly. "The original Omnitrix that Jake wore was powerful, but flawed. It contained vast potential, but it was never meant for someone so young and inexperienced. When it was damaged, I realized that the only way to prevent future mishaps was to create a more controlled, refined version. This Omnitrix still has a timer and the basic functions, but it's more stable. It has a limited selection of 24 aliens, each carefully chosen and calibrated."

He paused, his gaze shifting to Jake's unconscious form. "It does not have the Omnicore, which means it's less volatile. Jake won't have the same level of power he once did, but what he does have will be more manageable, more appropriate for someone at his level of experience."

Starfire, who had been hovering nearby, tilted her head in curiosity. "But why did you bring it back? I thought you were only concerned with the Omnitrix itself."

Azmuth sighed, his expression softening just a fraction. "Initially, yes. I only cared about retrieving the Omnitrix. But after hearing what Robin said... after seeing what Jake has done... I realized that perhaps there is more to being a hero than just possessing the right technology. Jake has proven himself worthy, not because he used the Omnitrix, but because of what he was willing to do with it. Even when he made mistakes, he acted with courage and selflessness."

Raven watched Azmuth carefully, sensing the internal conflict within him. "So, you're giving it back to him?"

Azmuth nodded. "Yes. But this time, it's not just a weapon or a tool. It's a responsibility. I'm entrusting him with this, knowing that he'll learn and grow into the hero he's meant to be."

The Titans exchanged glances, each of them feeling a mix of relief and concern. They were glad that Jake would have the Omnitrix again, but they also understood the weight of what Azmuth was saying.

Robin stepped forward, placing a hand on Azmuth's shoulder. "Thank you, Azmuth. Jake will use it wisely. We'll make sure of that."

Azmuth gave a small nod, then turned to leave. "Remember, Titans. The Omnitrix is a powerful tool, but it's the person who wears it that truly makes the difference."

With that, Azmuth vanished in a flash of green light, leaving the Titans alone with Jake and the new Omnitrix.

As the room fell silent, Robin carefully picked up the device and looked at his team. "We'll wait until Jake wakes up. When he does, we'll be here to help him every step of the way."

The Titans nodded in agreement, their resolve stronger than ever. They knew that the road ahead wouldn't be easy, but they also knew that they were a team—a family—and together, they could face whatever challenges came their way.

As Jake slowly began to stir, his eyes fluttered open, taking in the familiar surroundings of the Titans Tower. The soft hum of machinery, the low murmur of his teammates' voices, and the gentle warmth of the room all greeted him as he regained consciousness.

Beast Boy, who had shapeshifted into a small green kitten, was curled up on Jake's chest, purring softly. As Jake's eyes fully opened, he instinctively glanced down at his wrist, expecting to see the Omnitrix. The moment he realized it was gone, his heart skipped a beat, and panic quickly set in.

"The Omnitrix… it's gone!" Jake gasped, his voice hoarse from disuse. His mind raced with thoughts of what had happened and what it meant. The last thing he remembered was the explosion and the desperate fight to protect his friends.

Robin, who had been standing nearby, immediately moved to Jake's side, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Jake, it's okay. You're safe."

"But the Omnitrix!" Jake stammered, his eyes wide with fear. "What happened to it? Did I—did I lose it?"

Before Robin could respond, Beast Boy, still in kitten form, nuzzled Jake's cheek, purring louder to calm him down. Raven, who had been keeping a close watch on Jake's condition, stepped closer as well, her expression calm and soothing.

"Jake, relax," Raven said in her usual calm tone. "You're safe, and the Omnitrix is still with you. It's just… changed."

Jake looked at them, confused and still anxious. "Changed? What do you mean?"

Robin motioned to the small box that Azmuth had left on the table beside the bed. He carefully picked it up and opened the lid, revealing the new Omnitrix inside. "This is the Omnitrix now. Azmuth was here, and he made some modifications. It's different from what you're used to, but it's better suited for you now."

Jake stared at the device, still unsure of what to think. "Better suited? But… why did he change it?"

Robin took a deep breath, understanding Jake's concerns. "Azmuth saw what happened, Jake. He knows how much you care about protecting others, and he realized that the original Omnitrix wasn't the right fit for someone in your situation. This version is more stable and safer for you to use. It still has powerful abilities, but it's designed to help you grow as a hero without the risks that came with the old one."

Beast Boy transformed back into his human form, sitting on the edge of the bed. "Dude, you're still a hero, with or without the Omnitrix. You saved us back there, remember? You did what you had to do, and we're all proud of you."

Jake looked at each of them, his panic slowly fading as their words sank in. He reached out hesitantly and picked up the new Omnitrix, feeling its weight in his hand. It looked different—more refined, almost like a digital wristwatch with a square faceplate and sleek green and black stripes—but it still had the familiar Galvan tech logo on it, reminding him of its purpose.

"I… I don't know what to say," Jake murmured, still processing everything. "I didn't mean for it to explode. I just… I had to protect you guys."

Raven placed a gentle hand on his other shoulder. "You did what you thought was right, and that's what matters. You're not alone in this, Jake. We're here to help you, no matter what."

Starfire floated closer, her eyes warm with reassurance. "You are a true hero, Jake. Whether you wear the Omnitrix or not, you have proven your bravery and your heart."

Jake took a deep breath, feeling the weight of their words. He looked down at the new Omnitrix in his hand and then back up at his friends. "Thank you. All of you. I'll do my best with this… I promise."

Robin smiled, giving Jake a firm nod. "We know you will. And we'll be with you every step of the way."

As the team gathered around Jake, offering their support, the atmosphere in the room shifted from one of tension to one of unity and hope. Jake knew he still had a lot to learn, but with his friends by his side and the new Omnitrix on his wrist, he felt ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

As the team continued to rally around Jake, Cyborg walked in, holding a small device in his hand. He had a determined look on his face, as if he'd been working on something important.

"Jake," Cyborg began, moving closer to the bed, "I've been thinking about what happened with the Omnitrix, and I wanted to give you a little extra protection, just in case."

Jake looked at the device in Cyborg's hand with curiosity. "What's that?"

Cyborg smiled as he attached the device to Jake's other wrist. It was a sleek, metallic band with a small, glowing button in the center. "This is a personal shield generator. I designed it to give you some extra defense if you're ever in a tight spot, especially if the Omnitrix times out or you're caught in a battle without enough time to recharge."

Jake's eyes widened in surprise. "A shield? Like, an actual force field?"

"Exactly," Cyborg replied, pressing the button on the device. A faint blue light flickered to life, forming a translucent barrier around Jake. It wasn't overly bulky or obvious, just a subtle shield that surrounded him with a soft hum. "It's not invincible, but it should give you enough protection to either regroup or get out of danger if things get hairy."

Jake stared at the shield in awe, moving his arm slightly and watching as the barrier responded to his movements. "This is amazing! Thanks, Cyborg. This will really help."

Cyborg nodded, his grin widening. "Just doing my part, man. We've all got your back, and we want to make sure you've got everything you need to stay safe out there."

Beast Boy leaned in, poking at the shield with his finger and grinning when it bounced off harmlessly. "Man, you're gonna be like a walking fortress now! Aliens won't know what hit 'em!"

Raven, standing nearby, allowed a small smile to touch her lips. "It's a good addition. You've got power, but now you've got some extra protection to go with it. Just remember, Jake, it's still up to you to make the right decisions out there."

Jake looked around at his friends, feeling a deep sense of gratitude and determination. "I will. I won't let you guys down."

Starfire floated over, her eyes bright with encouragement. "You have already proven your strength and bravery, Jake. This is just another tool to help you on your journey as a hero."

Robin crossed his arms, nodding in agreement. "And remember, we're a team. No matter what happens, we face it together."

Jake felt a surge of confidence as he looked down at the new Omnitrix on one wrist and the shield generator on the other. With the support of his friends and these new tools at his disposal, he felt more ready than ever to take on whatever challenges lay ahead.

"Thanks, everyone," Jake said, his voice filled with resolve. "I'm ready. Let's keep fighting the good fight—together."

The Titans exchanged determined looks, knowing that they were stronger together. No matter what obstacles they faced, they were ready to face them as a team, united by their bond and their shared commitment to protecting the world

The next day, the Titans decided to take a trip to the mall in Jump City to celebrate Jake's recovery. The atmosphere was light and full of anticipation as they gathered at the entrance, ready to enjoy a day of fun and relaxation.

"Okay, remember to meet back up here at 10:00," Robin instructed, handing out money to the team. "Nothing later than that, got it?"

Jake looked a bit uncertain, glancing around at the bustling mall. "Are you sure? I mean, I don't know… I can help you guys take notes in the mall and stuff, but I just got out of a coma, kind of, I guess," he said, his voice trailing off as he voiced his hesitation.

Before Jake could protest any further, Beast Boy scooped him up and slung him over his shoulder with a grin. "Come on, dude! Enjoy yourself! You almost died, and now you're worried about taking notes? No way! We're going to the video game store!" Beast Boy said, his enthusiasm infectious as he started walking away with Jake in tow.

Cyborg chuckled, following closely behind them. "Yeah, man, relax! We're here to have fun today. We'll worry about the serious stuff later."

Robin, meanwhile, was assisting Starfire with her shopping. They strolled through various stores, Starfire excitedly picking out items while Robin offered his advice and carried her bags.

Raven, as expected, had made a beeline for the Barnes & Noble. She was already lost in the aisles of books, her fingers trailing over the spines as she searched for her next read.

As they all dispersed into the mall, the Titans were finally able to enjoy a day free of battles and stress, focusing on helping Jake get back into the swing of things. The mall echoed with laughter, the team's camaraderie shining brightly as they celebrated Jake's recovery in their own unique ways.

The trio entered the vibrant video game store, the walls lined with posters of the latest releases and shelves filled with games and consoles. The air buzzed with excitement as other customers tested out new games on demo stations.

Beast Boy immediately gravitated towards the newest fighting game, his eyes lighting up as he picked up a controller. "Oh man, I've been waiting for this one! Jake, you've gotta try it!"

Jake, who was still adjusting to his surroundings, looked around with wide eyes. "I don't know, BB. I'm still trying to get used to everything. Besides, I'm not sure I'm ready for all this yet."

Cyborg clapped a reassuring hand on Jake's shoulder. "Don't sweat it, man. You're with us, and we're here to have fun. Plus, I bet you'll kick Beast Boy's butt in this game. It'll be a good distraction."

Beast Boy laughed, already getting into the game. "You heard the man! Let's see what you've got, Jake. Or should I say, Omni Kid?"

Jake blinked, the nickname catching him off guard. "Omni Kid?"

Cyborg nodded, a smile spreading across his face. "Yeah, you're the kid with the Omnitrix. It fits, don't you think?"

Jake thought about it for a moment, then smiled. "Omni Kid… I like it. Okay, let's do this!"

With that, Jake grabbed a controller, feeling a sense of belonging as he joined his friends in the game. The name "Omni Kid" resonated with him, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his life.

Robin and Starfire wandered through a chic clothing store, Starfire's eyes lighting up at the colorful displays. She flitted from rack to rack, holding up various outfits and asking for Robin's opinion.

"Robin, what do you think of this one?" Starfire asked, holding up a bright green dress that matched her eyes.

Robin smiled, watching her enthusiasm. "It's perfect, Star. You always know how to pick the best colors."

Starfire beamed, twirling the dress around. "I am most pleased! I shall wear this on our next outing. Oh, and what about this one?" She held up a flowing, lavender gown, her excitement palpable.

Robin tilted his head, considering. "That one's nice too. It's a little more formal, but it would look great on you."

Starfire giggled, holding both dresses close. "I shall purchase both! Thank you, Robin, for assisting me in this most important decision."

Robin chuckled, glad to see Starfire so happy. "Anytime, Star. Just make sure you save some money for the other stores."

Starfire nodded enthusiastically, her arms already filled with clothes. "Of course! There are many more wonderful things to explore. Shall we continue?"

Robin smiled and followed her as they moved to the next store, enjoying the lightheartedness of the day.

Raven stood in the middle of the bookstore, her usual calm demeanor softened as she browsed through the shelves. The smell of paper and ink surrounded her, providing a comforting sense of normalcy. She ran her fingers along the spines of various books, pulling out a few titles that caught her interest.

As she skimmed through a particularly thick book on ancient spells, she heard a soft voice next to her. "Raven, what did you find?"

She looked up to see Jake standing there, a shy smile on his face. "I thought you were with Beast Boy and Cyborg," she remarked, surprised to see him.

"I was," Jake said, holding up a graphic novel. "But I thought I'd check in on you. Plus, I figured I could use something to read too."

Raven gave a small smile, appreciating the gesture. "That's thoughtful of you, Jake. I didn't expect you to be into reading."

Jake shrugged. "I guess I'm full of surprises. Plus, it's a good way to unwind, right?"

Raven nodded, her expression softening. "It is. And I'm glad you're taking the time to relax. You've been through a lot."

Jake looked down at the graphic novel in his hands, then back at Raven. "Thanks, Raven. I'm trying. By the way… I think I finally came up with a hero name."

Raven raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? What is it?"

"Omni Kid," Jake said, a hint of pride in his voice. "You know, because of the Omnitrix and everything."

Raven considered it, then nodded approvingly. "It suits you. Omni Kid… I like it."

Jake's smile widened. "Thanks. I think it feels right too." Just then, their communicators went off.

"Raven, Jake, we need you out front!" Robin informed them, cutting the communication short.

"Duty calls. Raven, if you'd please," Jake asked, receiving a nod from his teammate. She encased them both in dark energy and teleported them to the front of the mall.

"You called, Robin?" Jake asked.

"Yeah. We just received word about a bank robbery. Three armored vehicles have split up and are heading to different parts of the city," Robin explained as one of the vehicles sped right by them.

"I got this. You guys go and deal with the other two," Jake said confidently. With a nod from Robin, the team members headed in different directions to pursue their targets, leaving Jake by himself. He activated the new Omnitrix, making the hologram display appear.

"Okay, new Omnitrix, give me XLR8!" He slammed his palm onto the Omnitrix, and with a green flash of light, he transformed.

Jake eagerly slapped the Omnitrix, expecting to transform into XLR8, but something unexpected happened. The transformation sequence began in the classic Omniverse style: a wave of green energy pulsed from the Omnitrix, enveloping Jake in a glowing aura. His form shifted, shrinking down rapidly. The green light flashed once more, and when it cleared, Jake found himself standing only a few feet tall.

He looked down, noticing purple fur covering his body. His clothes had transformed into a black and white shirt with a spiked hem, and he realized he had become a new alien. His face was partially obscured by a twin-pointed hat that also acted as a mask, covering his bright green eyes. The most notable feature was the four sharp teeth jutting out from his lower lip. The Omnitrix symbol was prominently displayed on his bellybutton.

"What the—?" Jake muttered, staring at his reflection in a nearby store window. "What am I?"

As he examined his new form, he tapped the Omnitrix symbol, and a digital display appeared, listing his abilities:

Alien: Chowdown

Abilities:

- High Consumption: Enhanced eating

- Enhanced Teeth

- *Energy Blasts

- Immense Strength

- Enhanced Walking/Running:Ability to walk on any surface, including ceilings and water

"Chowdown? Seriously?" Jake said with a mix of curiosity and disbelief. He felt the surge of power coursing through his small frame, and despite his size, he knew this alien was strong.

"Alright, let's see what you can do, Chowdown," Jake said to himself, determined to make the most of his new form.

Jake took off after the speeding armored vehicle, his short legs moving with surprising speed. He felt the ground beneath him as if it were a mere suggestion, his enhanced walking ability allowing him to run up walls and even across the side of a building as he closed in on the target.

The robbers inside the vehicle glanced back in shock as they saw the small purple creature rapidly gaining on them. With a mischievous grin, Jake leaped onto the roof of the vehicle, his sharp teeth effortlessly piercing the metal as he tore open a hole.

"Knock, knock!" Jake quipped as he ripped the roof open and dove into the vehicle. The robbers barely had time to react before Jake unleashed an energy blast from his mouth, sending them flying into the walls of the van.

One of the robbers, recovering from the blast, tried to swing a crowbar at Jake, but he easily dodged, bouncing off the walls of the van like a pinball. With a swift movement, Jake bit down on the crowbar, snapping it in half with his enhanced teeth.

"You guys really should've stayed home today," Jake said, his voice playful but with a hint of menace.

The robbers, now thoroughly panicked, tried to swerve the vehicle, but Jake simply latched onto the ceiling, walking upside down as he continued to wreak havoc inside. With one powerful punch, enhanced by his immense strength, he knocked out the driver, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and come to a screeching halt.

As the dust settled, Jake stepped out of the now-disabled vehicle, the Omnitrix symbol glowing faintly on his bellybutton. He had never expected to use this alien, but Chowdown had proven to be more than capable.

"Well, that was fun," Jake said, dusting off his tiny hands. He tapped the Omnitrix again, reverting to his human form just as Robin and the rest of the Titans arrived on the scene.

"Jake, what happened?" Robin asked, surveying the wrecked vehicle and the unconscious robbers.

Jake grinned, pointing to the Omnitrix. "Just trying out a new alien. I call him Chowdown."

Cyborg raised an eyebrow, impressed. "Nice work, Omni Kid."

Jake beamed at the praise, feeling more confident in his new hero name. "Thanks. I think I'm getting the hang of this."

Meanwhile, from a nearby rooftop, a figure loomed in the shadows, watching Jake intently. The figure was tall and intimidating, his presence exuding menace. He wore a black suit that covered his upper body, with a striking red stripe running down the center. His gray pants matched the suit, and his gloves, made of gray metallic material, resembled claws. A gray belt cinched his waist, and his black boots, which had gray soles, each bore a single spike. His outfit was ornamented with bones, adding to his fearsome appearance. A tailbone rested on his right shoulder, while the skull of a horned animal sat on his left, bearing a hexagon-shaped device colored red, featuring a symbol resembling an open set of jaws. The ribcage on his chest area extended to cover his front and back, with some parts protecting the back of his boots.

The only visible part of the alien's true form was his face, which was a chilling turquoise. His large lower jaw, fused with his lips, revealed sharp teeth, and his sunken dark red eyes glared from beneath his heavy brow. Gills adorned his cheeks, adding to his eerie look.

Beside him stood a dog-like alien, resembling a predatory dinosaur. The creature was dark blue, with spike-like hair running from its collar down to the tip of its tail. Its sharp red eyes were filled with a fierce intelligence, and black lines marked its neck and legs. The dog wore a red spiked collar, which the alien held tightly, restraining the growling beast.

The alien reached up, taking the device off the skull on his shoulder, and knelt down to attach it to the front of the dog's collar. The moment it clicked into place, he released the dog, allowing it to move freely. The alien and his fearsome companion were none other than Kyber the Huntsman and his alien dog, Zed.

Kyber's lips curled into a sinister smile as he watched Jake below. He tapped a button on his wrist, activating a communication link. The holographic image of another alien flickered into view—Vilgax.

"Kyber," Vilgax's deep, gravelly voice resonated through the device. "What do you have to report?"

Kyber glanced down at Jake, who was still oblivious to the threat looming above him. "The boy has grown stronger, Vilgax. His new form, 'Chowdown,' has potential. But he's still just a child playing hero."

Vilgax's eyes narrowed in the hologram. "Don't underestimate him, Kyber. The Omnitrix is more powerful than you realize, and in the wrong hands, it could become a problem."

Kyber's smile widened, his predatory instincts kicking in. "Then it's a good thing I'm the one hunting him. I'll retrieve the Omnitrix for you, Vilgax. The boy won't stand a chance."

"See that you do," Vilgax warned. "The Omnitrix must be mine, and I expect results, Kyber. Don't fail me."

The communication ended, and Kyber's focus returned to Jake. "Come, Zed," he commanded his alien dog. "It's time to start the hunt."

Zed growled in response, eager for the chase. The two disappeared into the shadows, leaving no trace of their presence, but the danger they posed loomed closer with every passing moment.

Meanwhile, back at Titans Tower, Jake, Beast Boy, and Cyborg were deeply engrossed in a fighting game. The sounds of virtual combat filled the room, along with the occasional burst of laughter or a competitive taunt.

"Gotcha!" Jake shouted triumphantly as his character delivered the final blow, securing his victory. He jumped up from the couch and did a little victory dance, much to the amusement of his teammates.

Cyborg and Beast Boy exchanged a glance, both shaking their heads in playful disbelief. "Man, you got lucky," Beast Boy grinned, leaning back into the couch.

"Lucky? More like skill, dude," Jake shot back with a smirk.

Before they could start another round, the rest of the Titans approached, carrying a large box. Robin led the way, a small smile on his face, followed by Raven and Starfire. Jake turned to see what was going on, curiosity piqued.

"Hey, what's in the box?" Jake asked, his eyes darting between the Titans and the mysterious package.

Robin set the box down on the table in front of Jake. "Since you came up with your hero name—Omni Kid—and Beast Boy here gave you the idea, we thought you deserved something special."

Jake's eyes widened as he looked at the box. "A costume?" he guessed, excitement bubbling in his voice.

Starfire nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, friend Jake! We thought it only fitting that you have a proper hero suit to match your new name."

Cyborg grinned, stepping forward to open the box. "Go on, man. Check it out."

Jake eagerly lifted the lid, revealing a neatly folded costume inside. The outfit was designed with the same color scheme as the Omnitrix—black, white, and green. The material was sleek, with reinforced panels for protection and flexibility, and the design incorporated elements that mirrored the Omnitrix's look. The most striking feature was the Omnitrix symbol prominently displayed on the chest.

"Whoa," Jake breathed, carefully lifting the costume out of the box. "This is… amazing."

Beast Boy nudged him playfully. "Told you, man. Every hero needs a cool costume. Now you really look like Omni Kid!"

Jake held the suit up, admiring the details. "You guys really did this for me?"

"Of course," Robin said, crossing his arms with a satisfied nod. "You're part of the team, Jake. We want you to feel like it."

Raven added, "It also serves as a reminder of your growth. You've been through a lot, but you've come out stronger. This costume represents that."

Jake's smile was wide and genuine as he looked around at his teammates. "Thank you, everyone. I… I don't know what to say."

"No need to say anything," Cyborg said, clapping him on the back. "Just suit up and let's see how it looks."

With a nod, Jake quickly changed into the costume, the fit perfect and comfortable. When he reappeared, the Titans all gave him approving looks.

"Now that's what I'm talking about," Beast Boy said, giving him a thumbs up. "You look awesome, Omni Kid!"

Jake struck a heroic pose, mimicking one he'd seen on a comic book cover. "This is so cool. I feel like a real hero now."

"And you are," Robin said firmly. "Remember, it's not just the costume or the Omnitrix that makes you a hero—it's your heart, your courage, and your willingness to do what's right."

Jake nodded, feeling a surge of pride. "I won't let you guys down."

"We know you won't," Starfire said warmly.

The Titans all gathered around, each offering their own words of encouragement. Jake felt a deep sense of belonging and gratitude. For the first time since everything had changed, he felt truly at home.

As the team basked in the moment, the communicator beeped, signaling another mission on the horizon. Jake glanced at his teammates, a determined smile on his face.

"Omni Kid, it's hero time !" he declared, feeling more confident than ever before.
