Sackboy has been enjoying being respective as a hero to the Sackpeople. One Day during the festival,It was interrupted by an army,commanded by Newton,who is ordered by his superior,Vex to enslave the Sackpeople to make his Topsy-Turver machine to take over Craftworld. Sackboy manage to escape.
He meets an elder Sackperson,Scarlet,who explains that Vex will be searching for the orbs for his machine. Sackboy arrives at Manglewood where he met Marlon Random,who has been keeping 3 orbs. Newton arrives in pursuit of Sackboy. Marlon helps him escape on a rocket that goes to Ziggurat where he met Papal Mache,who has 5 orbs. He tells him to have them,he must run the gauntlet. After he succeeded,Newton & his army arrived. Papal gave him 5 orbs and a cart to carry them.
Arriving at Bunkum Lagoon,Sackboy met the Queen,Pinky Buflooms,who has two orbs,which she denies giving them to him to use against Vex. They were both attacked before Sackboy and the orbs are taken by Newton,who reveal that he was bullied as a little kid and wants to see them suffer.
Vex activates the machine by using the orbs and betrays Newton. Sackboy manage to free himself to help Newton stop the machine with the help of Scarlet,Marlon,Papal,& Pinky. As Vex grabs hold of him,Sackboy strikes him in the face with a torch,setting him ablaze and explodes. After Craftworld is restored, the Sackpeople celebrate Sackboy's victory as the reformed Newton to set up the fireworks.
